        In this study, Mechanical property, thermal property, watervapor, and oxygen permeability of biodegradable Soy protein/Pectin-montmorillonite nanocomposite, prepared with Na^(+)-MMT, have been studied. X-ray diffraction and TEM experiments an polymer/silicate composite samples demonstrated that the intercalation of polymer chains leads to increase in the spacing between silicate layers. In addition, it were found that the intercalated Soy protein/Pectin/montmorillonite nanocomposite were prepared. It was found that the addition of only a small of clay was enough to improve the thermal stability and mechanical property of Soy protein/Pectin/montmorillonite nanocomposite. watervapor of Soy protein/Pectin/montmorillonite nanocomposite was generally lower than that of Soy protein/Pectin. oxygen permeability of Soy protein/Pectin/montmorillonite nanocomposite was generally lower than that of Soy protein/Pectin.

        A planar chromel-alumel multijunction ac-dc converter was fabricated on a LPCVD Si_(3)N_(4)/SiO_(2)/Si_(3)N_(4)-diaphragm, prepared by silicon bulk micromachining, which thermally isolated a bifilar evanohm-heater and the hot junctions of a chromel-alumel thermopile from the silicon substrate. The voltage responsivity, the ac-dc transfer error, and the fluctuation of the output thermoelectric voltage of the converter were investigated. The respective voltage responsivities in air and in a vacuum of the converter were about 3.16 mV/mW and 9.41 mV/mW. The ac-dc voltage and the current transfer errors in air were about ±1.5 ppm and ±0.7 ppm in a frequency range from 10 Hz to 10 kHz, respectively. The fluctuation of the output thermoelectric voltage from 5 seconds to 120 seconds after preheating in air for 5 seconds was about 0.06 % for a heater input of dc 1 V.

        동결온도가 진공포장 동결육의 품질에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 진공포장 동결육의 품질에 미치는 영향을 검토하기 위하여 수행하였다. 해동드립은 -3℃와 -20℃ 동결이 60일째 각각 5.23% 및 5.17%로 동결기간이 경과함에 따라 현저하게 증가하였다. 가열감량은 water bath와 pan에서 가열한 것이 모두 동결초기보다 동결기간이 경과함에 따라 현저하게 증가하였다. 그러나 -3℃와 -20℃ 사이에는 현저한 차이가 없었다. 염용성 단백질의 추출성은 동결기간이 지남에 따라 감소하였고, -20℃ 동결이 -3℃보다 추출성이 더 높았다. 수용성 단백질의 추출성은 동결기간이 경과하면서 증가하였고 -3℃ 동결이 -20℃보다 현저하게 높았다. 그리고 L, a 및 b값은 저장초기가 동결저장 중보다 높다. Myoglobin의 변성율은 -3℃ 동결이 -20℃보다 비교적 높게 나타났는데, -3℃ 동결의 15일째가 96.0%로 가장 높게 나타났다. 전단력가는 동결저장 중 현저한 변화가 없었고, 근원섬유의 소편화도는 동결초기보다 동결저장이 더 높았지만 동결저장 중에는 변화가 없었다. pH는 -3℃와 -20℃ 동결저장 모두 45일까지 감소하다가 그 이후에는 증가하는 경향이었다. This study was carried out to investigate the effects of freezing temperature on quality of vacuum packaging freezed beef. In case of thaw drip loss, the freezing of -3℃ and -20℃ were 5.23% and 5.17% to 60 days respectively, were increased significantly during freezing. The cooking loss of water bath and pan were increased significantly during freezing than the beginning of freezing, but were no different between -3℃ and -20℃. The salt soluble protein extractability was decreased during freezing, the -20℃ freezing was higher than -3℃ freezing. The water soluble protein extractability was increased during freezing, the -3℃ freezing was higher than -20℃ freezing. The L, a and b value of the beginning of freezing higher than during freezing. The myoglobin denatured percentage of the -3℃ freezing was higher than -20℃ freezing, the 15 days storage of -3℃ freezing was highest to 96%. The shear force value was not change during freezing, the myofibrillar fragmentation index during freezing was higher than the beginning of freezing, but was not change during freezing. The pH was decreased to freezing 45 days, after that increased.

        우울장애 환자에서 자살 시도와 트립토판 수산화 효소(Tryptophan Hydroxylase) A218C 유전자 다형성과의 관련성

        Objectives : Several lines of evidence suggest the serotonergic dysfunction involved in the biological susceptibility of suicide. Tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH), the rate-limiting enzyme in the biosynthesis of serotonin, Plays a vital role in serotonin metabolism. In a case-control study, we investigated whether the TPH gene was a susceptible factor for suicidal behavior in depressive patients. Methods : The subjects were 218 depressed patients who attempted suicide and visited emergency rooms in multi-medical centers. One hundred thirty hospitalized non-suicidal depressed patients and the 161 normal controls were matched with the suicidal group. Individuals in all 3 groups were evaluated independently by a Structured Clinical Interview for the purpose of establishing a DSM-IV criteria diagnosis (SCID). The severity of depressive symptoms was evaluated using Hamilton depression rating scale (HDRS). Results : There was no significant difference in genotype distributions and allele frequencies of TPH intron 7 A218C polymorphisms among 3 groups. Furthermore, no significant difference in genotype counts and allele frequencies of the polymorphisms was found among lethal suicidal depressed patients, non-suicidal depressed patients and the normal controls. Conclusion : This study suggests that the A218C polymorphism of the TPH gene is unlikely to have a major effect on the susceptibility of suicidal behaviors in depressive patients.

      • 분절간 척추경 나사 고정과 척추전이법을 이용한 특발성 척추 측만증의 치료

        Objective : To report the clinical result of segmental pedicle screw fixation and translation technique in surgical correction of idiopathic scoliosis. Methods and materials : Ten idiopathic scoliosis. patients treated with segmental pedicle screw fixation and translation technique were analyzed retrospectively. The mean follow-up interval was 23.8months, with a minimum of 12 months. Eighteen structural curves were fused in one double curves(King type Ⅰ), seven double thoracic curve(King type Ⅴ) and two thoracolumbar curve. Deformity correction, apical vertebral rotation(AVR), apical vertebral translation(AVT), trunk balance, shoulder balance and complications were evaluated. Result : The structural curve was corrected from 47.4±10.6° to 20.3±5.9° at 1week after surgery and 55.6±14.1° at latest follow-up. AVR was corrected from 2.06±0.4 to 0.94±0.41 at 1week after surgery and latest follow-up. AVT was improved from 25±15.7㎜ to 11.5±7.3㎜ at 1week after surgery and 12.3±7.3㎜ at latest follow-up. There were no trunk imbalance(less than 10㎜ distance from C7 plumb line), no shoulder imbalance(less than 10㎜ shoulder height difference) and no screw related complications. Conclusions : The segmental pedicle screw fixation and translation technique is an effective method in treating for idiopathic scoliosis.

        부하순환 하에서 제V급 복합레진 수복물의 미세변연누출에 대한 재접착제의 효과에 관한 연구

        저점도의 레진을 복합레진 수복물 위에 도포하는 것은 미세누출방지와 변연 완전성(integrity) 유지를 위한 한 방법이다. 하지만 장기간 관찰하면, 수복물은 저작압에 의한 영향을 받게 되는데, 저점도의 레진으로 수복물 변연부를 재접착(rebonding)하였을 때 저작압에 의한 응력에 견디면서 계속하여 수복물에 긍정적인 영향을 주는지에 대한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 부하순환(load cycling) 하에서 제Ⅴ급 수복물의 미세변연누출에 대한 재접착제 (rebonding agent)의 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 40개의 건전한 소구치의 협면에 제Ⅴ급 와동을 형성하고 제조사의 지시대로 광중합복합레진으로 수복하였다. 20개씩 무작위로 나누어 표면전색을 하지 않는 Ⅰ군과 표면을 산부식 후 재접착한 Ⅱ군으로 설정하였다. 열순환 후 각 군에서 10개씩의 하위군 (A군=No load cycling군, B군=Load cycling군)으로 나누어 이중 B군의 시편에 1 Hz의 속도로 수직력이 4-100까지 100,000회의 부하순환을 가하였다. methylene blue용액에 침윤시켜 변연의 미세누출릉도를 평가하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 교합변연에서는 재접착과 무관하게 유의한 차이가 없었다(ⅠA-ⅡA군, ⅠB-ⅡB군) (p>0.05). 2. 치은변연의 경우는 부하순환을 하지 않은 군의 경우 재접착을 한 군(ⅡA군)이 재접착을 하지 않은 군 (ⅠA군)에 비해 더 적은 미세누출결과를 보였다(p<0.05). 3. 치은 변연에서 부하순환을 시행한 군의 경우에는 재접착을 한 군(ⅡB군)과 재접착을 하지 않은 군 (ⅠB군)과 유의차가 없는 비슷한 미세누출의 결과를 보였다(p>0.05). One clinical technique recommended f3r improving marginal integrity is "rebonding" or application of unfilled resins to the surface of composite restoration. But continuously the restorations are affected with occlusal load. There is room for doubt that the rebonding agent has the positive effect on microleakage in spite of the stress generated by the occlusal load. This study determined the effect of rebonding on microleakage of Class Ⅴ resin composite restorations under load cycling. Class Ⅴ cavities were prepared on the buccal surface of 40 sound extracted premolars and restored with a hybrid light-cured resin composite according to manufacturers' directions. They wert randomly divided into two groups consisting of 20 samples a control(group Ⅰ), without surface sealing, and the other group (group Ⅱ) in which margins were etched and rebonded. After thermocycling, each of groups was divided into subgroups (group A, B), and load cycling(total 100,000 cycles with 4-100N load at a rate of 1 Hz) were applied on the group B. Assessment of microleakage utilized methylene blue dye penetration. The following results were obtained : 1. In the occlusal region, no significant difference was noted in the scores regardless of whether or not the rebonding agent was used (group ⅠA-ⅡA, ⅠB-ⅡB) (p>0.05). 2. In the cervical region, the control group with rebonding (group ⅡA) showed the better result than the group without rebonding (group ⅠA) (p<0.05). 3. In the cervical region, the rebonded group with load cycling(group ⅡB) showed similar results to the groupf·ithout rebonding(group ⅠB) and no significant difference was noted(p>0.05).

      • Carbachol에 의한 닭 췌조직내 nitric oxide synthase 활성 및 methylated arginine 함량변화

        The role of nitric oxide (NO) in the regulation of exocrine secretion was investigated in chicken pancreatic tissues. Nitric oxide synthase (NOS) in the pancreatic tissues were Ca^2+-dependent form. Treatment of tissue with L-arginine (10 mM) or carbachol (10^-5 M) showed the increase of pancreatic exocrine secretion, but that of D-arginine (10 mM) did not. ^3H-citrulline formation, cyclic GMP level and methyl arginine contents in the homogenates of pancreatic tissues treated with carbachol were not affected. Although the action mechanism of NO in the pancreatic tissues remains unknown, NO apparently participates significantly in the overall control of pancreatic secretory function.

        유동성 복합레진의 마모저항성에 관한 연구

        시술시간을 줄이는데 유리한 재료인 유동성 복합레진을 유구치부에 사용하려고 고려할 때 중요한 물성 중 하나는 마모저항성이다. 이 연구의 목적은 유동성 복합레진의 마모저항성을 일반복합레진의 마모저항성을 비교하는 것이다. 실험에 사용된 유동성 복합레진으로 1군에서는 Arabesk flow (VOCO, Germany), 2군에서는 Tetric flow (Vivadent, Liechtenstein), 3군에서는 Aeliteflow (Bisco, U.S.A), 4군에서는 Filtek flow (3M Dental Co, U.S.A)을 사용하였으며 대조군으로 사용한 5군의 복합레진은 Z100 (3M Dental Co, U.S.A)이었다. 시편들(n=10)은 두께 2mm, 지름 5mm의 원통모양으로 제작하여 마모시험 전 37℃의 증류수에서 7일 동안 담가 놓았다. 제1소구치와 레진시편을 MTS 시스템에서 2Hz로 50,000회 접촉, 마모시켰다. 마모시험시 lateral excursion은 0.4mm, 교합력은 2-100N의 조건이었다. 마모시험후 마모된 부피, 최대마모깊이, 재료자체의 표면경도를 측정하였고 마모되지 않은 표면과 마모가 일어난 표면을 주사전자현미경으로 관찰하였으며 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 마모된 부피는 3군에서 가장 적었고 4군에서 가장 많았으며 3군<1군<2군<5군<4군의 순서로 증가하였다. 2. 3군, 1군, 2군, 5군이나 4군에 비해 통계적으로 유의하게 마모부피가 적었다(P<0.05). 그러나, 3군, 1군, 2군 사이에서와 5군, 4군 사이에서는 각각 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 3. 최대마모깊이는 1군에서 가장 낮았고, 4군에서 가장 깊었으며 1군<3군<5군<2군<4군의 순서로 증가하였다. 4. 5군의 표면경도는 다른 유동성 복합레진군에 비해 통계적으로 유의하게 높았으나(P<0.05). 마모부피나 최대마모깊이와는 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계를 보이지 않았다. 5. 마모되지 않은 표면과 마모가 일어난 표면을 주사전자현미경으로 관찰한 결과, 유동성 복합레진군과 5군 사이에 마모양상이 다르게 나타나는 것을 볼 수 있었다. When we use the flowable resin on the primary molars for quick handling, one of the most important property is the wear resistance. This study was performed to compare the wear resistance characteristics of four flowable composite resins [Arabesk flow (group 1), Tetric flow (group 2), Aeliteflow (group 3), Filtek flow (group 4)] to that of one control composite resin [Z100 (group 5)]. Specimen discs(n=10), 10mm wide and 2mm thick, were stored in distilled water at 37℃ for 7 days prior to testing. The specimens were subjected to 50,000 strokes at 2Hz on the MTS system. During the test, the following parameters were maintained: the ;atera; excursion at 0.4mm, occlusal force at 2-100N with a force profile in the form of a half sine wave. The measurements of volume loss, depth of wear, and Vicker's hardness number of composite resins, and SEM obserbations of the polished and abraded surfaces were established. One-way ANOVA and Scheffe's multi-ple comparison test were employed to detect statistically significant differences among the flowable composite resin group and the control composite group at P<.05. The following results were obtained: 1. Group 3 showed the least volume loss, while group 4 showed the greatest. The mean volume loss increased in the following order: group 3<group 1<group 2<group 5<group 4. 2. Group 3, group 1, and group 2 showed significantly lesser volume loss compared to group 5 and group 4(p<0.05). However, There was no statistically significant difference among group 3, group 1 and group 2. There was no statistically significant difference between group 5 and group 4. 3. Group 1 showed the shallowest depth of wear, while group 4 showed the deepest. The mean depth of wear increased in the following order: group 1<group 3<group 5<group 2<group 4. 4. Group 5 showed significantly highest hardness value compared to the flowable composite resin groups(p<0.05), but there was no correlation between wear resistance and Vickers hardness number. 5. SEM observation of the unworn and worn surfaces revealed the differences in the wear appearance between the flowable composite resin groups and the control.
