        The purpose of this study was to compare the characteristics, change in physique and physical function of college students majoring physical education and Taekwondo (454 males and 64 females of age groups ranging from 18 to 26). The results are as following: 1. The male group of 23yrs old in physical education showed highest values in 7 items(Weight, Chest Girth, Fore Arm Girth, Thigh Girth, Calf Girth, Scapular Skinfold Thickness and Suprailiac Skinfold Thickness). 2. In the Physical function, the male group of 18yrs old showed highest values in Power, Flexibility, and then 21yrs old at Back Strength, Vital Capacity, and 23yrs old at Grip Strength, and 25yrs old at Blood Pressure, respectively. 3. In the physique, the male group of 22yrs old showed highest values in Weight, Chest Girth, Thigh Girth, Calf Girth, and then 24yrs old Upper Arm Girth, Fore Arm Girth, and 19yrs old at Height, Upper Limb Length, respectively. 4. In Physical Function, the 22yrs old showed highest values in Back Strength, Vital Capacity, and then 23yrs old at Side Step, Trunk Extension, but 18yrs old showed lower Values in Grip Strength, Side Step, Vital Capacity and Blood Pressure. 5. The female group of 22yrs old showed highest values in 8 items(Height, Sitting Height, Waist Girth, Upper Limb Length, Lower Limb Length, Skinfold Thickness), and then 18yrs old at 5 items (Weight, Upper Arm Girth, Fore Arm Girth, Thigh Girth, Calf Girth), respectively. 6. In the physical function, the 22yrs old showed highest Values in Grip strength, Back Strength, Power, 5 Minute Run, and 18yrs old at flexibility, Harvard Step Test, respectively. 7. In the change of the physique for two years(1988-1989) in the male group, majoring Physical education the 22yrs old showed increase in 4 items, and the 20yrs old in 3 items, but 18yrs old showed decrease in 3 items. 8. In the change of the physical function for two years in the male group, the 20yrs old showed increase in 4 items, and the 21, 25, 26yrs old in 3 items, but the 19yrs old showed decrease in 6 items, and 18, 22 yrs old in 5 items, respectively. 9. The change of the physique for two years in all female group, of 18, 19, 20, 21yrs old showed increase in 11 items except Skinfold Thickness. 10. In the change of physical function for two years in female group, the 18yrs old showed increase in 3 items, and then 20yrs old in 5 items, but 19, 22yrs old decreased 12 items, respectively. 11. The highest significant difference in physique between male and female was found in weight(mean Value 17.5%), and the lowest difference was found Thigh Girth, Calf Girth(1,3%), Upper Limb Length, Lower Limb Length(2.5%). 12. The Highest difference in physical function was Strength (mean Value 40%), Vital Capacity (33%), Power(22%), but Lower Trunk Flexion, Foot Balance(3.4%). 13. In the difference of Physique and physical function between physical education major and taekwondo major, the physical education showed higher values in skinfold Thickines (mean Value 16.5%), Weight, Waist Girth(4.7%) and Strength(33%), Endurance(5.6%), but subjects majoring Taekwondo showed higher values in Flexibility and Foot Balance. 14. In all male groups, Waist Girth, Scapular Skinfold Thickness, Back Strength, Sargent Jump, Trunk Extension and Diastolic Blood Pressure were showed a significantly related at 0.001 level.

      • 흰쥐에서 탄수화물 종류가 운동시 당 및 지질대사에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of glucose, sucrose, and glucose polymer(GP) ingestion on the carbohydrate and lipid metabolism during treadmill running in rats. Rats were randomly assigned to normal, control and carbohydrate groups. Carbohydrate group was divided into glucose, sucrose and GP ingested rats. The experiment was carried out after overnight fasting. Rats were administrated either normal saline(control) or carbohydrates solutions of formulated glucose(6%), sucrose(6%) and GP(6%) via polyethlene tube to stomach before treadmill run. Exercise was loaded by a treadmill run at the speed of 1 km/hour for 30, 60 and 120 minutes. The results of experiment were as follows: Plasma glucose levels were decreased in proportion to the exercise time in control, but increased at treadmill run 30 minutes and then gradually decreased with the lapse of the exercise time in carbohydrates compared with normal rats. It decreased in control, glucose, sucrose and GP compared with normal rats in decreasing order at treadmill run 120 minutes(% change of plasma glucose level of control, glucose, sucrose and GP compared with normal rats were 67, 74, 87 and 91 in plasma glucose level at treadmill run 120 min., respectively). Plasma lactate levels were increased by the exercise loading compared with normal in control and carbohydrates ingested rats. It increased in control, sucrose and GP in increasing order compared with normal rats, at treadmill run 120 minutes(% change of plasma lactate level of control, glucose, sucrose and GP compared with normal rats were 167, 185, 149 and 114 in plasma lactate level at treadmill run 120 min., respectively). Plasma FFA levels had tendency to increase by the exercise loading compared with normal in control and carbohydrates ingested rats. It showed increase in the sucrose, glucose, GP and control rats in Increasing order compared with normal rats at treadmill run 120 minutes(% change of plasma FFA level of control, glucose, sucrose and GP compared with normal rats were 151, 153, 166 and 152 in plasma FFA level at treadmill run 120 min., respectively). Plasma acetoacetate levels were higher in control compared with carbohydrates ingested rats at treadmill run 30, 60 and 120 minutes. Plasma beta-hydroxybutyrate levels increased by exercise compared with normal rats in control and carbohydrates ingested rats at treadmill run 30, 60, 120 minutes. Plasma insulin levels were decreased in proportion to the exercise time in control compared with normal rats, but in carbohydrates ingested rats increased at treadmill run 30 minutes and then gradually deceased with the lapse of the exercise time compared with normal. In carbohydrates ingested rats, plasma insulin levies were higher than control. Hematocrit did not show any difference between control and carbohydrates rats at treadmill run 30, 60 and 120 minutes. From these experimental results, it is suggested that the exhaustion of skeletal muscle glycogen, the hypoglycemia, the overproduction of lactate and dehydration is delayed in carbohydrates ingested rats. GP of the carbohydrates is considered as the most effective for these effects. Therefore, intake of carbohydrates before exercise, especially GP seems to increase performance in the prolonged moderate exercise.

        급성 신우신염 치료시 아미노글라이코사이드(Micronimicin Sulfate)에 의한 유사 Bartter씨 증후군의 발생에 관한 평가

        The aminoglycoside antibiotics is widely used in the treatment of infectious caused by gram-negative bacteria and for synergistic effect with(β-lactam antibiotics. However, its therapeutic usefulness is limited by this potential nephrotoxicity and by disturbance of electrolyte homeostasis resulting in hypomagnesemia, hypokalemia, hypocalcemia such as Bartter-like syndrome. Many case repots have been reported on development of Bartter-like syndrome after aminoglycosides administration. But these reports had the many differences of such as types of aminoglycosides, age of patients, duration and total dose of treatment, combined antibiotics and baseline diseases. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to assess the effects of micronomocin sulfate on magnesium, calcium and potassium status of patients in acute pyelonephritis. Twenty one patients in acute pyelonephritis(18 female/3 male, ages 20-75) was treated with single or combined antibiotics. Eleven of twenty one patients as study group were treated with boh micronomicin sulfate(aminoglycoside, 4mg/kg/day, during 5-8days) and flomoxef sodium (3rd cephalosporine, 2g/day, during 5-8days), and ten of twenty one patients as control group were treated only with flomoxef sodium(3rd cephalosporine. 2g/day. during 5-8days). Renal values, plasma and urinary electrolytes were measured before and at the end of IV antibiotic therapy. After micronomicin sulfate administrated for 6.4±1.5days, serum Mg, Ca, K, FEMG (fractional excretion of Mg), TTKG(transtubular K concentration gradient) and FEca.(fractional excretion of Ca) did not significantly change(p$gt;0.05). Therefore, those results suggest that micromonicin sulfate therapy within dose of 24mg/day(4mg/kg/day) for 6.4±1.5days may not cause disturbance of electrolyte homeostasis such as Bartter-like syndrome in acute pyelonephritis. Howerever, electrolyte disturbance is an important complication when aminoglycosides is given in larges doses over extended periods. Therefore, monitoring of blood concentration and urinary loes of electrolyte should be carried out along with careful observation of Bartter-like syndrome.

        갓 동치미의 관능적 및 미생물학적 특성

        An optional ingredient, Gatt(Brassica juncea) was adopted to improve the quality of Dongchimi during fermentation. The final weight percentage of Gatt in Dongchimi was adjusted to 0, 3, 5, 10, or 15%, per radish. Sensory and microbiological characteristics were determined during fermentation at 10℃ for 45 days. The effect was varied depending on the amounts of Gatt, but Dongchimi fermented with 5% Gatt was most favored for color, flavor, taste, and overall acceptability in sensory evaluation. According to the quantitative descriptive analysis for the product, the liquid portion of Dongchimi steadily became clearer and less sour in proportion to the amount of added Gatt. The fermentation retarding action of Gatt at the initial stage of Dangchimi fermentation was clearly seen as above. However, the addition of Gatt at above 15% of Chinese radish was not desirable due to the accelerated fermentation at the later stage. The general changing patterns in typical characteristics of fermentation including microbial counts were comparable with each other depending on the treatments. And favorable Dongchimi could be prepared by fermenting with 5% Gatt at the given condition.

        트레드밀 운동 후 과당섭취가 저장 글리코겐 회복에 미치는 영향

        Stored glycogen is one of the important energy source during endurance exercise thus glycogen repletion, when exhausted, should be considered in most of athletes. At this point of view, using SD rats, glycogen repletion after exhausted exercise was investigated. Forty-eight male SD rats run on the treadmill until exhausted(7˚ incline, 35m/min). When exhausted, they were given ad-libitum either fructose (5%/100㎖, experimental group; Exe) or water (control group: Con) as a placebo for 60min or 120min. Rats were decapitated at pre-exercise, exhausted, 60min, and 120min of recovery, respectively. Serum glucose, lactate, insulin, FFA, muscle glycogen and liver glycogen was analyzed. Glucose concentration in Exe was significantly higher than Con (p<.05) during recovery periods. Lactate and insulin concentrations were not affected to both experimental substrates. FFA concentration was decreased at 120min of recovery in Exe but was continuously increased in Con. Muscle glycogen concentration was significantly repleted by fructose ingestion compared to water ingestion. Liver glycogen was, also, significantly repleted in Exe and its ratio of repletion was faster than muscle glycogen. These results suggested that, like other carbohydrate solutions such as glucose, sucrose, and maltodextrine and so forth, fructose ingestion after exhausted exercise has beneficial effect for depleted glycogen repletion compared to water ingestion.

        고휘도 Line LED조명시스템(HLLLI)설계 및 개발

        In this paper, HLLLI(High Luninous Line LED Illuminator) system which use the high luminous LEDs and is applicable to Line AIO(Auto Optical Inspector) is manufactured for installation on a large size LCD inspection process line. The performance tartget of the HLLLI system has been set at light line length over 600mm, light width within 5mm, luminous intensity over 150,000 Lux. The HLLLI system was tested by LightTool and a Luminous intensity measurement tool and target of the system performance was achieved consequently.

        Back Light Unit 내부의 LED Back light의 광균일도를 향상시키기 위한 LED 배열 방식의 비교 분석

        This paper presents various LED array methods to improve the luminous Intensity uniformity of LED Back Light in BLU for LCD Probe Station, and especially LED array methods applicable to the LED BLU over 22 inch requiring a great quantity of LEDs(16,000-20,000) are represented. The presented LED array methods consist of two types of equal-distance array architectures (Type11/Type12) and two types of non equal-distance array architectures (Type21/Type22). Basically, Type11 and Type12 have LEDs which are arranged with equal distances but the narrowest gaps. However, Type 21 and Type 22 have LEDs which are arranged with non-equal distance. In Type 21 and Type 22, gaps between LEDs in central part and gaps between LEDs in non-central part are different. Especially, in Type22, gaps between LEDs in non-central part change many times. LED array methods presented in this paper were all simulated by the LightTools. As a simulation result, All four types showed a good luminous Intensity uniformity over 85% and especially Type21 and Type 22 showed a good luminous Intensity uniformity over 88%.
