        In this study, a survey was administrated to 123 students in Taegu National University of Education. It was designed to explore not only their internal and external image of scientists, but also where the images came from. Main results of the study can be summarized as follows: 1) Most of the students consider the congnitive aspects of scientists quite positively, but not so much on the affective aspects of them. 2) They showed the stereotyped images of scientists which were found by other students, and showed more chemist's characteristics. 3) These kinds of external and internal images seems to come from the press and other mass media such as a animation, a movie, a hero story and so on. 4) There are indications which show that non-science majors possess more typical stereotyped images of scientists.

      • 제7차 교유과정에 따른 중학교 과학 1 교과서(물질부분)의 비교 분석

        The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the new seven kinds of science textbook (material part) for the middle school first grade according to the seventh curriculum. In the analysis of the contents in the textbooks, there seem to be less Material part than the other parts. Also, though the number of experiments and researches vary depending on the textbooks, 'Energy' part doesn't get as much attention. Compared with old textbooks, the new textbooks have contents that require students to conduct experiments voluntarily rather than just to understand and accept concepts. In the analysis of the contents of Material part, it forms only 23.08%, which implies that it requires students activities and researches much more than the other contents. About the researches, basic research to thorough research is at the ratio of 4:1. besides, the number of students which means that a science class can not be conducted using textbooks and notebooks only. Romey method can be used to analyze the contents for the science syllabus and it suggests that Rm index in almost all the textbooks is over 0.4 but less than 1.5.

      • 멀티미디어 수업이 과학 학습에 미치는 효과

        This thesis focuses on the effect of multimedia lesson in science learning. It is based on researches of basic understanding of students on multimedia lesson. According to the researches, it was found that multimedia lessons motivate students, facilitate learning activity, enhance power of concentration a lot more than traditional way. Consequently students wanted to continue on. Students pointed out that the strength of learning science with multimedia was making use of abundant three dimensional materials and that the weakness was getting tired easily when they were repeated. Another into two groups, traditional learner group and multimedia learner group, showed that multimedia learner group learned far more efficiently than traditional learner group in achievement. The other research into patterns of internet education showed that science learning achievement in group discussion method was proven to be a lot more effective. Therefore, a great deal of efficiency can be obtained in science learning through developing high quality three dimensional material, setting up domestic academic network in classrooms and focusing on practical use of multimedia.

      • A Connection to Corona Problem from Trace-class Interpolation in Tridiagonal Algebra

        Given operators X and Y in a Hilbert space, an interpolating operator is a bounded operator T such that TX = Y. An interpolating operator for n operators satisfies the equation TX_(i) = Y_(i)(i = 1,2,…,n). In this paper, we consider a corona-type version of trace-class interpolation problem in tridiagonal algebra.

      • 울산 미포만 주변 해역의 어란 및 자어(仔魚)의 종류상과 현존량

        A field research on the fauna and standing crop of fish larvae and eggs was accomplished at the coastal waters around Mipo Bay, Ulsan, South Korea during the period from October, 1998 to April, 1999. For the quantitative study, a TOW net (opening: 60 cm, mesh aperture: 800 ㎛) was trawled at three stations, where the surface water was filtered in the distance of 1 km with the velocity of 3 km/hr. Moreover, a plankton net was dragged vertically from the bottom of 10 sites around the bay for qualitative samplings. During the research period, a total 13 species of larval fishes were collected and identified in the study area. The fish eggs are most abundant in station C, the most deep area, and next in station A and station B in the shallow coastal waters, far from the mouth of bay in order. The standing crop of eggs is biggest in spring in comparison with other seasons, so the largest number of eggs was shown at station C in spring as 613.4/100㎥, while 238.6/100㎥ at station A and 46.2/100㎥ at station B. However, the fauna and individual numbers of fish larvae were very poor and scanty in the research area, especially in October and February, while getting increased in April. The early larvae of Engraulis japonica (Houttuyn) in the form of near-hatching larvae, was relatively dominant at station C with the number of 2.75 inds./100㎥.

      • 아산만 중부 해역의 여름철 대형저서동물군집의 구조

        A study on the community structure of macrobenthos was accomplished at 10 stations in the Asan Bay, western coast of Korea. Sampling was performed for times using a Smith-McIntyre grab (0.05㎡) at ten stations to August 1996. The macrobenthos comprised of 105 species, annelids (47 spp. 44.8%), arthropods (36 spp. 31.4%), molluscs(12 spp. 11.4%) and others (13 spp. 12.4%). Mean density was 913 ind./㎡ and biomass was 101.2 gwwt./m2. Annelids was a density-dominant group with a mean density of 733 ind./m2 which occupied 80.3% of the total individual benthic animals. The major density-dominant species were four polychaetes, Capitella capitata (251 ind./㎡), Prinospio japonicus (111 ind./㎡), Hemipodus yenourensis (72 ind./㎡) and Tylorrhynchus heterochaetus (51 ind./㎡). Clustering analysis showed that the study area could be divided into two stational groups and three stations.

      • 새로운 이민기를 포함하는 비스 크라운에테르의 합성

        We report herein synthetic results obtained two bis-benzocrown ethers containing imine group. The first asymmetrical bis crown ether 1 is aminobenzo-18-crown-5-ether linked with the formlybenzo-15-crown-5 ether by imine reaction. The other symmetrical bis crown ether 2 is formlybenzo- 15-crown-5-ether linked with amonobenzo- 15-crown-6-ether also by imine reaction. 4'-Nitrobenzo-crown ethers and 3',4'-dinitrobenzo-crown ethers were prepared by nitration of benzo crown ethers, obtained from the reaction of catechol and oligoethylene glycol ditosylate. Crown ethers containing aldehyde group were synthesized from the reaction of 3,4- dihydroxybenzaldehyde and corresponding ditosylate respectively. The synthesized crown ethers were characterized respectively by IR, NMR. GC-Mass.

        New luminescent crown ethers 1, 2, 3, 4 were synthesized. Re(CO)₃[N-(4'-benzo-crown ethers)-2-pyridineimine]Cl 1, 2 were obitained from the reaction of N-(4'-benzo-crown ethers)-2-pyridineimine 5, 6 and Re(CO)5Cl. Re(CO)₃[N-(methylene-crown ethers)-2-pyridineimine 3, 4 were prepared by the reaction of N-(methylene-crown ethers)-2-pyridineimine 7, 8 and Re(CO)_(5)Cl. 5, 6 and 7, 8 were made by reaction of 4'-aminobenzo-crown ethers, 2'-(aminomethyl)-crown ethers and 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde, respectively.
