        중풍환자의 구(灸)치료에 따른 기능회복도에 관한 임상연구

        Objective : The purpose of this clinical study was to investigate the effects of moxibustion on functional recovery in stroke patients. Methods : Forty two stroke patients were randomized into either the standard physiotherapy treatment combined with moxibustion group or a control group with standard physiotherapy alone. They were 8 weeks from onset to the start of this study. Moxibustion was applied at 合谷(LI14), 外關(TE5), 曲池(LI11), 太衝(LIV3), 懸鍾(絶骨,G39), 足三里(S36) in hemiplegic upper and lower extremity, once a day for 6 weeks. The effect of treatment on functional recovery was assessed using the Functional Independence Measure scale. Statistical significance was achieved if the probability was less than 5%(p<0.05). Result : These 2 groups had comparable clinical characteristics; sex, age, lesion, and pre-treatment FIM score. After 6 weeks, patients in the moxibustion group performed better on FIM. The differences were significant(P=0.001). Conclusion : These results suggest that moxibustion is an effective treatment for functional recovery in stroke patients.

        High Pressure Freezing (HPF)을 이용한 조류 Ptilota filicina의 미세구조 관찰:HPF 고정법과 화학 고정법의 비교

        In preparation of the biological samples for electron microscopy, the chemical fixation by glutaraldehyde, paraformaldehyde, and OsO4 has been generally used for a long time. However, the chemical fixation method has some problems: the infiltration time is a little bit long and the ultrastructure of cell or tissue transforms before complete fixation of sample. So, recently, cryo-fixation is considered more often in biomedical field. In this study, we compared High Pressure Freezing (HPF) method with chemical fixation method using a algal sample (Ptilota filicina J. Agardh), which was difficult to fix using chemical fixation method. In chloroplast, the ultrastructure of thylakoid lamella and phycobilisome can not show clearly by chemical fixation. In this study we could observe the ultrastructure of thylakoid lamella and phycobilisome of chloroplast very clearly using HPF fixation. An improved images of ultrastructures of nucleus, mitochondrion and floridean starch could obtain. These results suggest that HPF method is very useful method in algal specimen for electron microscopy.

        계류 척수 증후군에 의한 야뇨증과 신부전 1례

        저자들은 야뇨증을 주소로 내원한 12살 남아에서 천추 부위의 피부 보조개를 발견하여 정밀 검사를 통한 계류 척수 증후군을 확인하였고 이에 따른 신경원성 방광과 만성 신부전을 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰을 통한 증례 보고를 하는 바이다. The tethered cord syndrome is characterized by sensory and motor disturbances of the lower extremities and incontinence. We report a 12-year-old boy with sacral lipoma and a tethered cord syndrome, whose chief complaint is enuresis. This complication of tethered cord syndrome was most likely due to a renal failure and hydronephrosis secondary to a neurogenic bladder. Thus, the spinal lesions have to be considered in patients with enuresis.(J Korean Soc Pediatr Nephrol 2002 ;6 : 109-13)

        스프레이코팅법에 의한 패시베이션 박막이 플렉시블 CIGS 태양전지의 특성에 미치는 영향

        $Cu(In,Ga)Se_2$ (CIGS) 휨성 태양전지의 셀을 보호하기 위하여 스프레이 코팅방법에 의해 수분과 공기로부터의 보호막을 형성하고 그 전기적, 광학적 특성을 평가하였다. 일반적으로 CIGS 휨성 태양전지의 소자층을 보호하기 위해서 EVA(ethylene-vinyl acetate) 필름을 라미네이션 장비를 통하여 여러 겹 보호막을 형성함으로써 복잡한 공정으로 인해 원가상승의 요인으로서 작용한다. 본 연구는 휨성 CIGS 태양전지의 보호막을 라미네이션 박막공정 대신에 간단한 스프레이 코팅공정을 통한 패시베이션(passivation) 박막층을 형성함으로써 CIGS 태양전지 무게의 경량화와 공정시간 단축 연구를 진행하였다. 패시베이션 박막층으로는 PVA(polyvinyl alcohol), SA(sodium alginate) 물질에 $Al_2O_3$ 나노 입자를 첨가하여 유 무기 복합 용액을 사용하였다. 스프레이 코팅된 소자에 비해 에너지 변환 효율특성 62.891 gm/[$m^2-day$]의 비교적 양호한 습기 차단 특성을 나타내었다. In order to protect the solar cells from the moisture and oxygen, we evaluated the electrical and optical properties for the $Cu(In,Ga)Se_2$ (CIGS) solar cells which were prepared by the spray coating method. Generally, the EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) films are laminated to protect the CIGS flexible solar cells, which results in a high cost process due to complicated devices. In this study, we tried to prepare the protection layers of the flexible CIGS flexible solar cells by using spray coating method instead of conventional laminating films in order to reduce the device weight as well as the process time. The CIGS solar cells with spray coating method showed an enhanced efficiency than the before treated sample (2.77% to 2.93%) and relatively proper water vapor transmission rate of the solar cells about 62.891 gm/[$m^2-day$].

        그물형 하천에서의 용존산소 시뮬레이션

        A water quality modeling study was performed for network stream located at western part of Lower Nakdong River. Model construction was based on SNSIM(Stream Network Simulation Model which was developed by United States Environmental Protection Agency. The study area includes Western Nakdong River, Joman River, and their tributaries. The area was divided into 22 reaches according to the model structure. Each reach was then subdivided into uniform computational element of 0.1km. In order to characterize study area, two synoptic field surveys were performed during February 6∼7 and March 29∼30, 1991 periods at network stream and input tributaries. The model was calibrated to the February survey data and verified to the March survey data. The water quality parameters simulated in the model included dissolved oxygen(DO), carbonaceous biochemical oxygen demand(CBOD), and nitrogenous biochemical oxygen demand (NBOD). Computer code of SNSIM model was modified in this study to be executable on IBM PC or comparable with metric input/output unit. The study indicated that the modified SNSIM model would be an effective tool to simulate the water qualities in the complicated stream network. The predicted water qualities displayed reasonable agreements with the field measurements during both surveys.

        Crossing Dynamics of Leader-guided Two Flocks

        In field, one can observe without difficulties that two flocks are intersected or combined with each other. For example, a fish flock in a stream separates into two part by obstacles (e.g. stone) and rejoins behind the obstacles. The dynamics of two flocks guided by their leader were studied in the situation where the flocks cross each other with a crossing angle, ${\theta}$, between their moving directions. Each leader is unaffected by its flock members whereas each member is influenced by its leader and other members. To understand the dynamics, I investigated the order parameter, ${\phi}$, defined by the absolute value of the average unit velocity of the flocks' members. When the two flocks were encountered, the first peak in ${\phi}$ was appeared due to the breaking of the flocks' momentum balance. When the flocks began to separate, the second peak in ${\phi}$ was observed. Subsequently, erratic peaks were emerged by some individuals that were delayed to rejoin their flock. The amplitude of the two peaks, $d_1$ (first) and $d_2$ (second), were measured. Interestingly, they exhibited a synchronized behavior for different ${\theta}$. This simulation model can be a useful tool to explore animal behavior and to develop multi-agent robot systems.

        GAVQ를 이용한 음성인식에 관한 연구

        In this paper, we proposed a modofied genetic algorithm to minimize misclassification rate for determining the codebook. Genetic algorithms are adaptive methods which may be used solve search and optimization problems based on the genetic processes of biological organisms. But they generally require a large amount of computation efforts. GAVQ can choose the optimal individuals by genetic operators. The position of individuals are optimized to improve the recognition rate. The technical properties of this study is that prevents us from the local minimum problem, which is not avoidable by conventional VQ algorithms. We compared the simulation result with Matlab using phoneme data. The simulation results show that the recognition rate from GAVQ is improved by comparing the conventional VQ algorithms.

        타우린 처리에 의한 나리 기내 식물체 생산체계 최적화

        나리는 절화용으로 대한민국에서 인기 있는 작물 중 하나로 고품질의 우수한 나리 품종이 개발되어야 한다. 이러한 우수 품종이 개발된 후에는 고효율의 번식체계가 확립되어야 한다. 본 연구는 타우린 처리에 의해서 신초 및 구근형성, 생체중 증가 및 발근율 향상 등의 생장촉진 효과와 갈변율 감소효과를 통한 나리 '레드플레임' 품종의 기내 식물체 생육 조건 체계 확립을 위해 수행되었다. 타우린이 생장촉진물질로 효능이 있는지 검증하기 위해 타우린을 0, 2.5, 5. 10, 15 및 20 mg/l을 첨가하였다. 그 결과, 타우린 20 mg/l 처리구에서 85 %의 신초형성률을 나타내었고 생체중은 5.5배 증가로 무처리구에서의 4.35배보다 더 높은 증가를 보였다. 구근형성 및 발근율 촉진 효과로는 타우린 20 mg/l에서 80%의 multiple 구근 형성률과 82%의 발근율을 나타내었다. 무처리구는 각각 50%의 multiple 구근 형성률과 60%의 발근율로 타우린을 첨가한 처리구의 효율이 더높았다. 또한 타우린 2.5 mg/l 처리구에서는 10.6%의 갈변율을 보인 반면에, 20 mg/l 처리구에서 0.8%의 갈변율을 보여 갈변율 감소에도 효과를 나타내었다. 타우린 처리구가 생체중 증가, 신초 생성률, 발근율 및 구근 형성 등의 전반적인 생장요인 들에 있어서 긍정적인 효과를 보여 줌으로써 나리를 포함하는 식물조직배양에서 타우린이 구연산 및 비타민 C와 같은 항산화제 또는 아미노산 대체제로서 사용 가능성을 보여 주었다. Lilies as cut flowers are one of the most popular ornamental plants in South Korea. It is necessary to develop lily cultivars with high qualities. Therefore, highly efficient propagation systems are needed following release of elite cultivars. In this study, we used taurine treatment to improve the growth conditions including shoot and bulb formation, fresh weight gain, and reduction of rooting and browning. We experimentally evaluated the effect of taurine as a growth stimulator, at concentrations of 0, 2.5, 5, 10, 15 and 20 mg/l. The results showed that 20 mg of taurine enhanced shoot formation by 85% and increased fresh weight 5.5-fold, which was higher than the approximately four-fold increase in the control. In addition, multiple bulb formation rate was increased by 80% and rooting by 82% following exposure to 20 mg/l of taurine. The efficiency of taurine treatment was higher than that of control with 50% multiple bulb formation rate and 60% rooting rate. The browning was 10.6% at 2.5 mg/l of taurine when compared with 0.8% at 20 mg/l. Taurine showed a positive effect on the overall growth of lily plants in terms of increased fresh weight, shoot formation rate, rooting, and formation of multiple bulbs, indicating that taurine can be used as an alternative to amino acids or as an antioxidant such as citrate and vitamin C in plant tissue culture.
