The Goos-H¨anchen shift of p wave beams incident on a metal-nonlinear dielectric bilayer in the Kretschmann configuration is studied theoretically. The reflectance, the phase of the reflection coefficient and the Goos-H¨anchen shift are calculated in a numerically precise manner by using the invariant imbedding method. The Goos-H¨anchen shift has been found to be able to take both extremely large positive and negative values due to surface plasmon excitations and very strong bistability and unique hysteresis phenomena appear. In addition, several previous results on the intensity dependence of the Goos-H¨anchen shift are pointed out to be erroneous.
k-ε 모형에 의한 2차원 균질분류장의 해석에 관한 연구

A numerical study on the homogeneous jets has remained of requiring more intensive investigation for problems due to the treatments of free surface, Reynolds stress /flux terms in turbulent flow. The verification of predicted results from the numerical study continues to be in the qualitative study, because of the lack of experimental data, due to the difficulties in measuring the turbulent fluctuations in flow. In this study, the computer program of k-ε model being widely used for the simplicity of computation has been developed to compute the characteristics of two-dimensional homogeneous jets with the free surface boundary condition. By comparing these results with Gaussian distribution, it is found that this model can predict fairly well the characteristics of two-dimensional homogeneous jets in the momentum region.

Enforced environmental regulations call for extending the domain of manufacturers’ responsibility to the entire product life cycle. To comply with the environmental regulations, manufacturers have constructed reverse logistics networks to re-collect their leftover waste for recycling consumed resources. However, the operational activities associated with storage, loading and transportation processes within the networks inevitably impose environmental burdens. Particularly, the transportation process largely influences environmental performance due to perpetual uses of transportation vehicles. Therefore, there is a need to develop an environmentally- conscious transportation model that can efficiently manage the uses of transportation vehicles. Additionally, it is vital to analyze its significances of environmental performance to compare quantitatively it with existing models. This paper proposes a transportation model for improving environmental performance in a reverse logistics network. This paper also presents a case study to perform its comparative analysis using Life Cycle Assessment that evaluates potential environmental impacts of a product system.
