This thesis also describes an interactive software tool named Model-Box, Which supports the construction and analysis of requirements models via textual and graphical representations. Model-Box allows users to define appropriate new models for the aspects they want to describe, without restriction to a single modeling methodology.

        <B>Graphic Abstract</B> <P>The cover shows a schematic illustration of patterned colloidal photonic crystals with different bandgap positions. When an unknown light source impinges on the patterned photonic crystals, the light information can be identified from the reflection intensity profile of the constituent photonic crystals.       • 기하광학영역에서의 능동소나 표적신호합성

        능동소나 시스템에서 표적신호의 근거리 정보가 중요해짐에 따라, 표적 음향산란 신호의 고유한특성을 분석하기 위해 실험적인 방법과 시뮬레이션 기법이 사용된다. 본 논문에서는 표적신호 합성을 위해 축소표적 반향실험을 수행하였고, 자료의 분석 결과 축소표적의 음향산란은 거울면 반사의 영향이 큰 것으로 분석되어, 표적신호 합성에서 기하광학이론을 응용하였다. 복잡한 형태의 표적을 여러 표본형상으로 분리하고, 각 표본형상의 기여도를 신호의 위상과 강도를 줌으로써 계산하였으며. 표적신호 합성모델의 검증을 위해 실제 축소표적 실험 결과와 비교하였다. 혁심용어: 기하광학이론. 음향산란, 거울면반사. 축소표적, 능동소나 투고분야: 수중음향 분야 (5.2) Since the near field iformation of target signal is important in the development and verification of active sonar system experimental method and simulation technique are widely used in order to analyze the detail characteristics of target scattered echoes. Therefore, in this paper, the scale target experiment is performed to develope and improve the target signal simulation model. Since the experimental results show that the specular reflection is the major component among scattering mechanisms, the target signal simulation model based on the Geometric Optics Theory (GOT) is developed. Complex target is separated into simple shapes, known as canonical shape. The contribution from individual canonical shapes are summed with proper phase and amplitude to produse the target strength of the whole complex body. Simulated target signal is compared with the experimental results fed discussed.

        This paper deals with structural behavior of reinforced concrete beams under fire. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of concrete covers and exposure time to fire on the structural behavior of the beams under high temperature condition. The structural behaviors of RC beams with ordinary and high strength concrete under high temperature are compared. For this purpose, twelve beam specimens are fabricated and experimented. Twelve specimens are exposed to the fire for 60 and 90 minutes and to the failure. The research result shows that the main variables of the test, concrete cover and exposure time to fire influence the structural behavior.

        광주광역시 치매의 유병률과 위험인자의 도시-농촌 지역 비교

        연구목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 광주광역시의 도시 및 농촌 지역에 거주하는 노인에서 치매의 유병률과 위험인자를 조사하고자 하였다. 부가적으로 이 두 지역간에 치매의 유병률과 위험인자를 비교하고자 하였다. 방 법 : 광주광역시의 전형적인 도시와 농촌지역의 65세 이상의 노인(N=1,598)을 대상으로, 2단계의 역학연구를 수행하였다. 1차 선별 단계에서는 38명의 훈련된 연구보조원이 대상노인을 면담하여, 사회인구학적 특징을 조사하고 한국판 간이정신상태검사(Korean version of Mini-Mental State Examination ; MMSE-K)로 평가하였다. 2차 임상 진단 단계에서는 1차 단계에서 MMSE-K 점수가 24점 이하인 노인(N=431)을 대상으로, 전문연구팀의 임상적 평가를 통해 치매를 진단하고 원인질환별로 알쯔하이머병(Alzheimer's disease ; AD), 혈관성 치매(vascular dementia ; VaD) 및 기타 치매로 분류하였다. 대상노인에서 치매의 유병률을 측정한 후, 광주광역시 전체 노인의 연령보정 유병률을 산출하였다. 전체 대상에서 AD의 위험인자를 조사한 후, 도시와 농촌군으로 나누어 분석을 다시 시행하였다. 결 과 : 1차 및 2차 단계의 참가율은 각각 71.0%(N=1,134) 및 83.2%(N=410) 였다. 연구 참여 노인(N=1,134)에서 전체 치매, AD 및 VaD의 유병률은 최소 각각 9.7%, 5.2%, 1.8%였다. 광주광역시 전체 노인의 연령 보정 유병률은 각각 10.7%, 5.7%, 1.9%인 것으로 산출되었다. AD의 독립 위험인자는 고령, 여성, 무학이었다. 도시와 농촌에 따른 유병률의 차이는 파악되지 않았다. 그러나 AD의 위험인자는 지역에 따라 차이가 있었다. 도시 노인에게는 무학만이, 농촌 노인에게는 고령과 여성인 경우가 독립 위험인자였다. 결 론 : 광주광역시 노인에서 치매의 유병률은 높았고, 이는 국내 다른 지역에서 수행된 선행연구 결과와 유사하였다. 알쯔하이머형 치매의 위험인자는 도시와 농촌에 따라 다른 결과를 보였다. 본 연구 결과는 한국에서의 치매의 실태를 반영하며, 치매의 적절한 관리와 예방을 위해서는 지역성 특성이 고려되어야 함을 시사한다. Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence rate and risk factors of dementia in an urban and a rural sample of older persons in the metropolitan Kwangju area, Republic of Korea. In addition, the prevalence rate and risk factors of dementia between the two samples were compared. Methods : A two-phase epidemiological study of residents aged 65 or over(N=1,598) was conducted in a highly developed, urban and a non-contiguous, poorly developed, rural area of metropolitan Kwangju. In the first(screening) phase, 38 trained research assistants collectively peformed in-home interviews for all participants. Detailed sociodemographic characteristics were gathered and the Korean version of Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE-K) was administered. In the second (diagnosing) phase, diagnosis of dementia was established for those scoring 24 or less on the MMSE-K in the screening phase(N=431), and etiological types of dementia were classified to Alzheimer's disease(AD), vascular dementia(VaD) or miscellanous type by two teams of experts. Prevalence rate of dementia was determined in the participants, and age-standardized prevalence rate adjusted by age distribution in metropolitan Kwangju was estimated. For AD, the risk factors were investigated in all participants, and analyses were repeated for the urban and rural samples separately. Results : The participating rates in the first and second phases were 71.0%(N=1,134) and 83.2%(N=410), respectively. In the participants, the prevalence rates of dementia(all types), AD and VaD were 9.7%, 5.2% and 1.8%, respectively. The age-standardized prevalence rates were 10.7%, 5.7% and 1.9%, respectively. Aging, female gender and no education(complete lack of formal education) were identified as independent risk factors for AD. No difference between the urban and rural samples was observed in the prevalence rates of dementia(all types), AD and YaD. However, risk factors for AD differed between these areas. In the urban sample, no education was the only significant factor ; whereas, aging and female gender were identified as risk factors in the rural sample. Conclusion : A high prevalence rate of dementia was observed among old persons in metropolitan Kwangju, consistent with previous studies conducted in other Korean areas. The risk factor profi1es for AD differed between urban and rural settings. The results of this study reflect the current status of dementia in Korea and suggests that appropriate management and prevention strategies for dementia should be tailored toward the geographic settings.

      • 적혈구 유무에 따른 벤젠, 스티렌, 트리클로로에틸렌에 의한 림프구 중 자매염색분체 교환 빈도

        This study was performed to investigate the possible role of oxyhemoglobin in the metabolic activation of benzene, styrene and TCE by observing the difference of the SCE frequency between isolated lymphocyte and whole blood lymphocyte cultures exposed to these chemicals. Isolated lymphocyte and fresh heparinized peripheral whole blood samples from a healthy donor(male, smoker) were cultured in the phytohaemagglutinin stimulated culture media for 72 hours. The cells were treated with 100, 300, 1000, 3000 μM benzene, 250, 500, 100, 2000 μM styrene or TCE respectively. Slides were stained with Giemsa's solution for SCE. SCE was analyzed for each subject from coded slides by one researcher. The results were as follows : 1.The frequency of SCE increased dose-dependently with concentration of benzene in isolated lymphocyte and whole blood lymphocyte cultures, however there were no significance. There was no significant difference of SCE frequency between isolated lymphocyte and whole blood lymphocyte cultures. 2.The frequency of SCE in whole blood exposed to sytrene significantly increased in dose-dependant relationship, but not in isolated lymphocyte. The difference of SCE frequency between isolated lymphocyte and whole blood lymphocyte of 2000μM styrene exposure was marginally significant(P=0.0540). 3.In TCE, the frequency of SCE did not increase at any concentration used in this study of isolated lymphocyte and whole blood lymphocyte. Above results suggested that oxyhemoglobin in erythrocytes play an important role in the metabolic activation of styrene but not in benzene or TCE.         In this study seismic response of a base-isolated bridge for soil types is compared. Bilinear model is used for lead rubber bearing(LRB). Accelerograms Whose response spectrum matches the design spectrum for soil types are used as earthquake ground excitation. Nonlinear time history analyses using the SAP2000 program are performed. The results show that the seismic response of a base-isolated bridge is increased as the soil types.

      • 혈액 종양환자에서 Tobramycin의 임상약동학

        항암화학요법을 받고 있던 중 감염으로 tobramycin을 투여받은 36명의 혈액종양 환자에서 tobramycin의 약동학적 특성을 비종양환자군에서의 population 값과 비교 검토하였다. 이들은 모두 정상 신기능을 가진 16세 이상의 성인남녀(21:15)백혈병 환자들이었다. 36명의 혈액종양 환자에서 산출된 tobramycin의 청소율 및 체내분포용적은 각각 120.3± 27.2ml/lg/hr 및 0.386± 0.11 L/㎏로 population 추정 치보다 유의하게 큰 값을 보였다.(P. <0.05).청소율과 체내분포용적을 해당 population 추정치로 나눈 비율치(ratio)의 평균값은 각각 1.47± 0.34 및 1.20± 0.34였다. 연령, hematocrit치, 혈청albumin치, 발열 및 항암화학요법기간과 tobramycin의 청소율 및 체내분포용적 사이에 유의한 상관관계는 발견할 수 없었다. 본 연구결과 혈액종양 환자에서 tobramycin 투여시는 적정혈장농도를 유지하기 위해 일반 환자군에 비해 용량의 증가 및 투여간격의 조정이 필요하며 지속적인 혈장농도 monitoring을 통하여 용법의 재적정화가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. The pharmacokinetics of tobramycin were evaluated in 36 hematologic malignancy patients undergoing anticancer chemotherapy and compared to the expected values from the population parameters. Total body clearance(mean : 12.3±27.2㎖/㎏/hr) and volume of distribution (mean : 0.386±0.11 L/㎏) in hematologic malignancy patients with normal renal function were significantly greater than those of estimated from population parameter distribution(P<0.05). The ratios of total body clearance and volume of distribution to the population estimates were 1.44±0.37 and 1.20±.034, respectively. No relationships were found between age, hematocrit, serum albumin, fever or duration of anticancer chemotherapy and pharmacokinetic parameters. It is suggested that the increment of tobramycin dose regimen wold be considered in patients with hematologic malignancy, and dose readjustment followed by close monitoring of plasma drug concentration would be required.
