        The development of robotic welding process is a very complex assignment because the system is affected by a number of process parameters which are very difficult to determine or predict in practice. The full automation welding has not yet been achieved partly because the mathematical model for the process parameters of a given welding task is not fully understood and quantified. Several mathematical models to control welding quality, Productivity, micro structure and weld properties in arc welding processed have been studied. However, it is not an easy task to apply them to the various practical situations because the relationship between the process parameters and the bead geometry is non-linear and also they are usually dependent on specific experimental result. Practically, it is difficult, but important to know how to establish a mathematical model that can predict the result of the actual welding process and how to select the optimum welding condition under a certain constraint. In this paper, an attempt has been made to develop an neural network model to predict the back-bead width as a function of key process parameters in the GMA (Gas Metal Arc) welding and to compare the developed models with the experimental results

        기대-불일치 패러다임에서 예상의 영향력에 관한 연구 : 브랜드 경험유무와 측정시점 시간간격의 조정적 역할

        소비자 만족결정 과정을 설명하기 위하여 기대 - 불일치 패러다임이 개발된 이후 이 패러다임내의 연구단위들 간의 관계에 관해 많은 연구들이 수행되었다. 이러한 관계들 중에서 기대(본 연구에서는 예상)의 영향력은 여러 연구들에서 다르게 나타났다. 본 논문은 기대 - 불일치 패러다임 내에서 예상의 영향력이 브랜드 경험과 측정시점 시간간격에 따라 어떻게 달라지는지를 조사하기 위하여 수행된 두 연구결과를 보고한다. <연구 1>에서 특정 브랜드 유경험 소비자의 경우 예상은 지각된 성과에 정(正, +)의 영향을 미치지만 무경험 소비자의 경우 그 영향은 나타나지 않았다. 또한 유경험 소비자의 경우 예상은 지각된 성과와 예상일치성의 매개에 의해 만족에 영향을 미치지만 무경험 소비자의 경우 예상은 만족에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. <연구 2>는 예상이 지각된 성과, 일치성, 그리고 만족에 미치는 영향이 예상 측정 시점과 지각된 성과, 일치성, 그리고 만족 측정 시점 간의 시간 간격에 따라 어떻게 달라지는지를 조사한 것이다. 이 연구에서 예상이 일치성에 미치는 영향력은 기대대로 시간간격이 긴 경우보다 짧은 경우에 더 크게 나타났다. 예상이 지각된 성과와 만족에 미치는 영향은 시간간격이 긴 경우보다 짧은 경우에 더 크게 나타났지만 그 차이는 통계적으로 유의적이지 않았다. After expectancy-disconfirmation paradigm was developed to explain the process of consumer satisfaction decision, a lot of studies were performed for the relationships of constructs in this paradigm. Among the relationships of those constructs, the influences of expectation(anticipation in this study) did not appear to be consistent in several studies. Two studies were conducted to investigates how brand experiences and measuring time interval moderate the influences of anticipation in the expectancy-disconfirmation paradigm. In the first study, (1) in the case of experienced consumers, anticipation appeared to positively influence perceived performance whereas in the case of unexperienced consumers, anticipation did not; and (2) in the case of experienced consumers, anticipation appeared to influence satisfaction with the mediation of perceived performance and congruency whereas in the case of unexperienced consumers, anticipation did not. The second study was regarding how the influences of anticipation on perceived performance, congruency, and satisfaction vary with the time interval between the time of measuring anticipation(t1) and the time of measuring perceived performance, congruency, and satisfaction(t2). In this study, as expected, anticipation appeared to influence congruency more in the case that the time interval was short than it was long. Although anticipation appeared to influence perceived performance and satisfaction more in the case that the time interval was short than it was long, the difference was not statistically significant.

        침윤성 난소암의 경우 생식력의 보존이 중요한 도전이라고 할 수 있다. 20대 중반의 여성에서 거대 한 난황낭종이 발견되어 생식력의 보존을 위해 보존적 수술과 복합항암화학요법을 시행한 후 임신 및 출산에 성공한 증례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고한다.

      • DSP칩을 이용한 고속 스펙트럼 분석 장치개발에 관한 연구

        Signal analysis in frequency domain attracts many electrical engineers in sense that a viewpoint of the problem is puted to other direction. So, spectrum analyzer has become essential equipment as a measurement device. Because the FFT theory which becomes base of the digital spectrum analyzer, has to process many calculation, the real time processing is very difficult, and so the engineers of this field has continued to research reduction of calculation or fast processing in the FFT operation. In this paper, DSP(Digital Signal Processor) chip by development of novel semiconductor technology applys in general FFT theory, and is processed in real time. For these, this paper proposed an algorithm of the software and a configuration of hardware. In conclusion, this proved that 128 point FFT operation was able to process in real time(4,257ms).

        To find elements which enable improving Quality of image of chest radiography, we attempted to make comparison between chest radiography used currently with that of the past, and following conclusion was reached: 1) It could be confirmed that a dependance on chest radiography was declining, because proportion of chest radiography against overall radiography decreased. 2) There was a change of kVp to a high voltage in a chest radiography, and use of high kVp became a generalization 3) Exposure time was reduced and exposure dose was curtailed accordingly. 4) Apparatus was mainly comprised of 3-phase rectifier circuit and inverter type. 5) It could be confirmed that frequency of applying additional filters for high kVp radiography was insufficient. 6) There was almost no difference in the condition of exposure between hospitals using film/screen and hospitals using CR. But when CR is used for radiography, it was increase in exposure dose due to increase in tube current and it will be necessary to have continuous study on exposure dose by an increase use of CR in the future.

        Estrogen is believed to decrease coronary artery disease. Protein kinase C-α(PKCα)appear to be important in signal conduction pathways. Estrogen treatment increases catalytic activity of PKCα,and activation of PKCαcan modulate estrogen receptor levels and responsiveness. And it was reported that activation of PKC can protect cells from apoptosis induced by Fas ligation. But the beneficial effect of estrogen on PKCαwas not clearly demonstrated. The objective of this study was to evaluate the role of PKCαafter ovariectomy and estrogen therapy in rat aorta. The results were summarized as below: 1. The significant pathological changes were not observed in the rat aorta irrelevant to ovariectomy and estrogen therapy. 2. The expression of Fas was decreased in the aorta of estrogen-treated rats than that of ovariectomized rats without estrogen therapy. 3. Increased expression of PKCαwas more marked in the aprta of estrogen-treated rats than that of ovariectomized rat without estrogen therapy. In conclusion,PKCαmay be important in signal conduation pathway on the effect of estrogen. Activation of PKCαby estrogen reduced Fas expression, suggesting that PKCαactivation may play a role in protection against atherasclerosis. Further studies are needed to elucidate the role of PKCαafter estrogen therapy.

        ZBTB7A suppresses glioblastoma tumorigenesis through the transcriptional repression of EPB41L5

        Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), the most aggressive and malignant glioma, has a poor prognosis. Although patients with GBM are treated with surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, GBM is highly resistant to treatment, making it difficult and expensive to treat. In this study, we analyzed the Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis dataset, the Cancer Genome Atlas dataset, and Gene Expression Omnibus array data. ZBTB7A (also called FBI1/POKEMON/LRF) was found to be highly expressed in low-grade glioma but significantly downregulated in patients with GBM. ZBTB7A is a transcription factor that plays an important role in many developmental stages, including cell proliferation. The activation of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is a key process in cancer progression and metastasis. Erythrocyte membrane protein band 4.1 like 5 (EPB41L5) is an essential protein for EMT progression and metastasis in various types of cancer. We found that ZBTB7A depletion in U87 cells induced GBM progression and metastasis. Based on RNA sequencing data, ZBTB7A directly binds to the promoter of the EPB41L5 gene, reducing its expression and inhibiting GBM progression. We demonstrated that ZBTB7A dramatically inhibits GBM tumor growth through transcriptional repression of EPB41L5. Thus, both ZBTB7A and EPB41L5 may be potential biomarkers and novel therapeutic targets for GBM treatment. Overall, we discovered the role of a novel tumor suppressor that directly inhibits GBM progression (ZBTB7A) and identified EPB41L5 as a therapeutic target protein for patients with GBM.

        Ascochlorin, a non-toxic prenylphenol compound derived from the fungus Ascochyta viciae, has been shown recently to have anti-cancer effects on various human cancer cells. However, the precise molecular mechanism of this anti-cancer activity remains to be elucidated. Here, we investigated the effects of ascochlorin on hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression in human epidermoid cervical carcinoma CaSki cells. Ascochlorin inhibited epidermal growth factor (EGF)-induced HIF-1α and VEGF expression through multiple potential mechanisms. First, ascochlorin selectively inhibited HIF-1α expression in response to EGF stimulation, but not in response to hypoxia (1% O(2)) or treatment with a transition metal (CoCl(2)). Second, ascochlorin inhibited EGF-induced ERK-1/2 activation but not AKT activation, both of which play essential roles in EGF-induced HIF-1α protein synthesis. Targeted inhibition of epidermal growthfactor receptor (EGFR) expression using an EGFR-specific small interfering RNA (siRNA) diminished HIF-1α expression, which suggested that ascochlorin inhibits HIF-1α expression through suppression of EGFR activation. Finally, we showed that ascochlorin functionally abrogates in vivo tumor angiogenesis induced by EGF in a Matrigel plug assay. Our data suggest that ascochlorin inhibits EGF-mediated induction of HIF-1α expression in CaSki cells, providing a potentially new avenue of development of anti-cancer drugs that target tumor angiogenesis. 113: 1302-1313, 2012. ⓒ 2011 Wiley Periodicals.
