Measuring levels of biogenic amines and their metabolites in rat brain tissue using high-performance liquid chromatography with photodiode array detection

We developed a method to detect biogenic amines and their metabolites in rat brain tissue using simultaneous high-performance liquid chromatography and a photodiode array detection. Measurements were made using a Hypersil Gold C-18 column (250 9 2.1 mm, 5 lm). The mobile phase was 5 mM perchloric acid containing 5 % acetonitrile. The correlation coefficient was 0.9995–0.9999. LODs (S/N = 3) and LOQs (S/N = 10) were as follows: dopamine 0.4 and 1.3 pg, 3, 4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid 8.4 and 28.0 pg, serotonin 0.4 and 1.3 pg, 5-hydroxyindolacetic acid 3.4 and 11.3 pg, and homovanillic acid 8.4 and 28.0 pg. This method does not require derivatization steps, and is more sensitive than the widely used HPLC–UV method.

청소년의 민주시민성 교육을 위한 DIE-논쟁 학습 모형의 개발과 그 효과에 관한 연구

A Study on Developing DIE-Debate Class Model and its Effect on Adolescent's Democratic Citizenship Jae Won, Kwon(Kodeok Middle School), Min Jung, Koo(Kangil Middle School) This study is about developing DIE-Debate Class model and experiment to test its effect on adolescent's democratic citizenship. To consolidate Democracy in Korea, the education to enlarge democratic citizenship of adolescents is very important. The debate class model has been recommended as the best class model for this purpose. But there have been several problems make it difficult to apply debate class in Korean classroom. DIE can fix these problems through supplying virtual experience to students and motivate their interest using Drama. In this study authors developed DIE-debate class model that combinate debate class and DIE, using debate as Follow up of DIE and operated an experiment to verify its effects on adolescents' democratic citizenship. The result is that DIE-debate class was more effective than debate class in fostering adolescents' democratic citizenship. 이 연구는 DIE-논쟁 학습 모형의 개발과 이것의 청소년의 민주시민성 교육에 미치는 효과를 검증하기 위한 실험이다. 한국 민주주의의 공고화를 위해 청소년의 민주시민성 교육은 매우 중요하다. 논쟁학습은 이를 위한 좋은 도구로 권장되었다. 그러나 이것의 적용을 어렵게 만드는 한국 교실 고유의 문제들이 있다. DIE는 연극을 이용하여 학생들의 흥미를 유발하고 가상의 체험을 제공하여 이 문제를 보완할 수 있다. 이에 이 연구에서는 DIE의 팔로우업 단계에 논쟁학습을 결합한 DIE-논쟁학습 모형을 개발하고 그 효과를 검정하기 위해 실험을 실시하였다. 240명의 청소년을 표본으로 실시한 실험결과 DIE-논쟁학습이 논쟁학습보다 청소년의 민주시민성 향상에 더 큰 효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

성폭력 전담기관 종사자의 DISC 행동유형에 따른 조직 몰입 및 직무 만족도

성폭력전담기관 종사자의 DISC 행동유형에 따른 조직몰입, 직무 만족도를 파악하고 그 변수간의 상관관계를 알아보기 위하여 전국의 해바라기센터에 근무 중인 종사자 196명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 통하여 자료를 수집 분석한 결과, 대상자의 DISC 행동유형은 사교형(I)이 가장 높았고, 안정형(S)과 신중형(C)이 그 다음이며, 주도형(D)이 가장 낮았다. 대상자의 평균 조직몰입은 3.1점, 평균 직무만족도는 3.4점으로 중간이상으로 나타났다. DISC 행동유형에 따른 조직몰입은 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었으나, DISC 행동유형에 따른 직무만족도의 DISC 행동유형(F= 3.14 및 p<.05)은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 대상자의 DISC 행동유형에 따른 조직몰입과 직무 만족도의 관계는 유의한 정적인 상관관계를 보였다. 따라서 본 연구결과는 종사자의 조직 몰입, 직무 만족을 높여 성폭력 피해자에게 보다 나은 서비스를 제공할 수 있으며, 기관의 효율적인 인적자원관리를 위한 기초자료가 될 것이다.

유치원 교사의 다문화 교육에 대한 인식과 요구

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze understanding and needs of kindergarten teachers for multi-cultural education, and to obtain preliminary data with which ways of effective multi-cultural education might be found. This research was carried out among 204 public․private kindergarten teachers in Pusan City, and the research method was questionnaire survey. Collected materials were processed with SPSS 18.0 for Windows. Data was processed into frequency, percentage, mean amd standard deviaton. Conclusions drawn with findings of this study are as follows. First, kindergarten teachers' understanding on multi-cultural education showed that multi-cultural education is necessary since it helps to accept the differences between oneself and other people, to live in a community and to develop a positive selfidentity. And The problems of multi-cultural education are the lacking of awareness of necessity and understanding on multi-cultural education, lacking of multi-cultural contents in kindergarten books. Second, as needs for multi-cultural education implementation, trainings were shown to be in need for various and specific means for lecturing, and in order to change the understanding of the teachers on the children from multi-cultural families, multi-cultural lecture & study cases were asked to be introduced.

Risk Factors Associated with Difficult Reversal of Heparin by Protamine Sulfate in Cardiopulmonary Bypass: An Ignored Issue

Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate risk factors associated with difficult heparin reversal by protamine after cardiopulmonary bypass. Methods: Data from 120 consecutive patients who underwent open heart surgery from 2009 to 2017 were retrospectively reviewed. Patients were divided into 2 groups: (1) those in whom complete heparin reversal was achieved after a single infusion of protamine (group A, n=89); and (2) those who required more protamine for heparin reversal (group B, n=31). Results: Female sex, prolonged bypass time (>200 min), long aortic cross-clamping time (>120 min), and a lowest rectal temperature <26°C were significant predictors of difficult heparin reversal. Larger amounts of fresh frozen plasma and platelet concentrate were transfused in group B than in group A. Conclusion: Surgeons’ efforts to reduce operative time and avoid deep hypothermia may be helpful for increasing the likelihood of easy heparin reversal, especially in female patients.

A Study on Agricultural Machine Sharing Application

The government has set the mechanization of paddy agriculture as a national task, aiming to achieve over 70% by 2025. The main objective is to stabilize the farming costs of rural households due to the aging and feminization of rural areas, as well as the shortage of agricultural labor. In response to this, the Korea Rural Economic Institute operates a farm machinery rental business. However, there are challenges in selecting and managing rental machinery, including issues related to labor, costs, verification, and time. Additionally, there is a limit to upgrades, and overseas models are being imported and used for transplanters and rice planters, which do not conform to domestic standards and face maintenance difficulties. In order to solve the difficulties of the agricultural machine rental business, we intend to develop an application that shares domestic and foreign machines purchased and used by individuals at a low cost and use them in gun-level administrative districts.
