      • Cadmium Chloride가 흰쥐 신장에 미치는 영향에 관한 조직화학적 연구

        중공업의 발달에 따라 공장등지에서 중금속인 cadmium을 이용한 제품의 생산이 증가함에 따라 자연계내 토양, 물, 식물 등에 함유된 cadmium 뿐 아니라 공업제품과 공업 쓰레기에 함유된 cadmium은 쉽게 인체에 폭로되어 인체에 유해한 결과를 초래하게 된다고 알려져있다. 이에 저자는 cadmium이 생체내 신장에 특히 오랜기간 축적된다는 보고와 또 반감기가 긴 중금속이란 점에 착안하여 신장의 피질과 수질내 조직학적 변화를 관찰하고자 하였다. 실험동물은 사육실에서 순종 분리고 4년간 사육한 Wistar계 흰쥐를 사용하였다. 흰쥐에 체중 kg당 0.6mg의 cadmium chloride를 식염수 0.2ml에 용해하여 복강내로 10주간 매주 1회씩 투여한 후 희생기켜 신장조직을 paraffin 표본으로 제작하고 Mallory-Azan 염색을 시행하여 광학현미경으로 관찰한 후 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. Cadmium chloride 10주간 투여후 1일 경과군에서 신장의 피질과 수질에 강한 Azan 염색반응을 보였으며 신사구체의 괴사와 수질 일부에서 간질성 섬유증식 및 울혈이 관찰되었다. 2. Cadmium chloride 10주간 투여후 1주 경과군에서는 신장의 피질과 수질에 중등도의 Azan 염색반응이 관찰되었고 신사구체의 국소적 괴사가 관찰되었다. 3. Cadmium chloride 10주간 투여후 2주 경과군에서는 신장의 피질에 중등도의 Azan 염색반응이 관찰되었으며, 4주 경과군에서는 피질과 수질에 약한 Azan 염색반응만 관찰되었다. 이상과 같은 결과로 미루어 cadmium chloride의 흰쥐에 장기간 투여는 미량이라도 신장의 신사구체의 괴사, 섬유화 등이 유발되나 투여후 4주 경과시는 손상이 회복되는 것으로 사료된다. The peritoneal injections of cadmium chloride(0.6mg/kg) per 1 week for 10 weeks were made. The cadmium chloride treated rats were sacrificed on 24 hours, 1 week, 2 weeks and 4 weeks after 10 weeks administration. And each of renal tissues from cadmium treated rat kidney was stained with Mallory Azan. 1. The severe glomerular necrosis, fibrosis and congestions in 1 day group were seen in the cadmium chloride treated rats medulla. 2. The moderately positive reaction for azan stain was seen in cortex and medulla of 1 week group in the cadmium chloride treated rats medulla. 3. The weakly positive reaction for azan stain was revealed in cortex and medulla of the rat kidenys on 2 weeks and 4 weeks after cadmium chloride administration for 10 weeks. It is concluded that the renal damage of rat resulted with administration of cadmium chloride may be recovered 4 weeks after injection.

        모형식품의 해동방법에 따른 물성변화

        Optimal thawing conditions of frozen model foods containing protein and starch were investigated at various thawing conditions such as room temperature, hot air, and microwave heating. Hardness of the frozen model foods was getting higher as the water content increased. Thawing rates at room temperature, hot-air heating at 50℃, and microwave heating were 0.02Kg/min, 0.08Kg/min. 0.01 Kg/min. respectively. Final thawing time was as follows; control 60min, 5% sucrose: 50min, 10% sucrose: 30 min, 5% NaCl: 30 min. Total drip loss was as follows; room temperature thawing: 22.5%, 200W microwave thawing 1.3%, and 50℃ hot air thawing nearly negligible.

        In this study, the effect of heat treatments on the mechanical properties was investigated in martensitic stainless steel for gauge. The experimental results showed that the hardness was decreased but the impact value was increased with increasing tempering temperature after solution teatment. Therefore, in the view-point of the hardness and impact toughness, it is better to temper at low temperature, 250℃. In isothermal transformation treatment, the hardness in martempering treatment was higher, but the impact value was lower than in marquenching treatment. The wear resistance was propor-tional to the increase in hardness and the wear mechanism was changed from mechanical abrasive wear to adhesive wear with increasing speed change. The wear loss was increased almost linearly with increasing load and the wear resistance in martempering treatment was better than any other heat treatments.

      • 청소년의 스포츠활동 참가유무와 학교생활 적응에 관한 연구

        This study in order to make sure the relationship between adolescents sports activity and the fitness of school life, at first I examine the difference of school life's fitness according to the sport activities experience. Second, this study was to examine the effect of sport activities on the fitness of school life. To make use of Stratified Cluster Random Sampling Method, all 320students(160 participants, 160 non-participants) being in middle & high school sin Seoul presently were selected as a sampling group, the only half of whom have the experience of sports activity participation. Questions are made up of such variables as a characteristic of a home back ground, sports activity participation and the fitness of school life. Dependability and appropriateness of questions were verified through improvement of question quality, preliminary inspection, investigation of literature studies and experts' conference. Especially as a result of questions about the fitness of school life by preliminary inspection those questions showed comparatively high dependability that the price of alpha comes to be 0.637. And statistics method used for data analysis in this study are Frequencies, ANOVA. By verifying experimentally an hypothesis about the relationship between sports activity participation of adolescents and the fitness of school life, acquired results are as follows. Participation in sports activity has an effect on adolescents the fitness of school life. In general the rate of the fitness by participants group in sports activity is higher than the rate of non-participants group.

      • 새로운 Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors의 합성

        노인성 치매의 일종인 alzheimer's disease의 효과적인 억제제를 합성하기 위해 우리는 분자 모델링에 의한 가장 적합한 물질인 m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid를 합성하였다. 출발물질인 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate의 경우 boronic acid의 작용기인 hydroxyl group을 protecting시킴으로써 반응의 안정성을 기하였다. Quarternary ammonium salt는 과량의 methyliodide와 염기 촉매인 potassium hydrogen carbonate를 사용하여 용매인 methanol에서 반응시켜 상당히 높은 수율을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 과량의 methyliodide와 염기촉매인 potassium hydrogen carbonate를 사용하여 용매인 methanol에서 반응시킨 결과 boronic acid의 protection없이도 안정하게 반응이 진행되어짐을 확인할 수 있었다. In order to syntheisize a effective inhibotor for alzheimer's disease, we synthesized m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4 which is designed by molecular modeling form. We protected the hydroxyl group of 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 with ethlyne glycol to remove the reactivity if hydroxyl group. To synthesize m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4, we reacted 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 with ezcess methyl iodide and potassium hydrogen carbonate as a base-catalyst in methanol. but On executed reaction without protection on hydroxyl group, we found out the result that the hydroxyl group of boronic acid group at 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 didn't react with excess methyliodide. Synthesized m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4 is in progress about biological tests as a plausible acetylcholinesterase inhibitor.

        제4경추의 형태와 초경을 통한 성숙지표에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 측모 두부 규격 방사선사진을 이용하여 성장 중인 아동의 제4경추 형태를 경추 몸체부 하연의 만곡 정도에 따라 분류하고 초경의 시기와 수완부 골 성숙 단계를 평가하여, 성장 중인 아동의 골격적 부정교합의 진단 및 악정형 치료를 위한 성장 시기 평가에 제4경추의 형태 변화가 진단의 참고자료로 활용될 수 있는지를 연구하였다. 11-14세 여자 환자 중, 같은 날짜에 촬영된 측모 두부 규격 방사선사진과 수완부 방사선사진이 모두 있는 81명을 대상으로 환자의 측모 두부 규격 방사선사진상 제4경추 몸체부 하연의 만곡 정도에 따라 세 그룹으로 분류하였다. (Group A - 제4경추 몸체부 하연의 만곡 정도가 1.05 mm 이하, Group B -제4경추 몸체부 하연의 만곡 정도가 1.05- 2.07 mm 사이, Group C -제4경추 몸체부 하연의 만곡 정도가 2.07 mm 이상)세 그룹에서 각각 제4경추 몸체부의 수직 길이, 수평 길이, 수직/수평 비율, 초경의 시기, 수완부 골 성숙 단계를 측정한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 평균 수완부 골 성숙 단계는 Group A가 SMI 5.67 ± 2.57단계, Group B는 SMI 8,73 ± 2.41 단계, Group C는 SMI 10.00 ± 1.47단계로 나타났다. GroupA에서 Group B, Group C로 갈수록 제4경추의 수직 길이, 수평 길이, 수직/수평 비율, 수완부 골 성숙 단계에 있어서 각각 유의하게 더 큰 값을 보였다. 본 연구대상 아동의 평균 초경 시기는 11.64 ± 0.92세를 보였다. 제4경추 몸체부 하연의 만곡 정도, 수직 길이, 수평 길이, 수직/수평 비율은 수완부 골 성숙 단계와 각각 서로 유의한 양의 상관관계를 나타냈다. 초경을 경험한 그룹이 초경을 경험하지 않은 그룹에 비해 제4경추의 수직 길이, 수평 길이, 수직/수평 비율, 수완부 골 성숙 단계에 있어서 유의하게 큰 값을 보였다. 연구 결과 측모 두부 규격 방사선사진상 제4경추 하연의 만곡 깊이가 2.07 mm 이상인 경우 성장의 완료 단계에 가까운 시기로 나타나 이 시기의 악정형적 치료는 큰 효과를 얻을 수 없을 것으로 사료된다. Objective: This study analyzed the morphologic changes of the fourth cervical vertebra body to determine the skeletal age of orthodontic patients during growth. Methods: Eighty-one female patients aged from 11 to 14 who had cephalograms taken on the same day were examined. The subjects were divided into three groups depending on the depth of the concavity of the lower border of the fourth cervical vertebra (Group A: less than 1.05 mm, Group B: 1.05 - 2.07 mm, Group C: greater than 2.07 mm). Menarcheal timing, SMI stage, length, width and ratio of length and width of the fourth cervical vertebra body were analyzed and the following results were obtained. Results: The average SMI stage of group A,B and C were 5.67 ± 2.57, 8.73 ± 2.41, and 10.00 ± 1.47, respectively. Length, width, ratio of length and width, and SMI stage were greater in group B than group A and in group C than group B. Mean menarcheal timing was 11.64 ± 0.92 years. Concavity depth, length, width, ratio of length and width showed a significant positive correlation with SMI stage, especially with the concavity depth. Conclusion: The results of this study propose a simple method for determining the timing of orthopedic treatment by measuring the concavity depth of the fourth cervical vertebra on the cephalogram.

      • 자동차 허브 내·외경 측정 시스템 개발

        An automobile hub is composed of a hollow cylindrical part with inner and outer diameters. These hub diameters must be precise, as any irregularities in them (diameters) can influence/degrade the motion of an automobile with this problem. Highly accurate and reliable hub inner and outer diameters measurement systems are therefore required for inspection of the diameters. In this research, an automobile hub inner and outer diameters measurement system has been developed and tested. The system consists of measuring heads with LVDT sensors, and associated software for automatic measurement and calibration of the diameters and the sensors respectively. The system has been evaluated in comparison with an existing measurement system, and the following outcomes have been achieved; ·Improved and guaranteed quality and reliability ·Increased productivity and cost reduction These results prove the system developed in this research to be suitable for automobile hub inspection.

      • 백서의 복강내에 투여한 Mitomycin-C-Polyglycolic acid 제형이 장기에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        To evaluate the in-vivo effects of mitomycin-C-polyglycolic acid composite(MMC-PGA) the disk: shaped composite were implanted into the peritoneal cavity of the Sprague-Dawley rats. The pathologic changes were examined at various time points up to 12 weeks. Initially the soft tissue around the inserted disks showed capillary congestion at 3 days. Inflammatory infiltrates with foreign body giant cells appeared from the 2nd week and reached peak response at 6-8 weeks. These reaction diminished prominently at 12 weeks. No specific pathologic change was found in the liver, the kidneys, and the heart. The above results suggest that the MMC-PGA composite can serve as a new device for intraperitoneal chemotherapy of various types of cancers.

      • 포진후 통증환자에 대한 신경차단술의 효능 : 예비적 보고

        Objectives : Of all the chronic pain syndromes postherpetic neuralgia ranks the most refractory to treatment. The eight postherpetic neuralgia patients have been treated with nerve blocks or neurolysis and obtained good result. We evaluate the therapeutic effect of nerve blocks for postherpetic neuralgia and reviewed the pathology, clinical consideration, treatments and prevention. Materials and Methods : Eight patients with established postherpetic neuralgia enrolled in pain clinic of Mokdong Hospital of Ewha Womans University from March,2004 to December. Average age at 58 and about 63% of patients were over 68 years. Affected area of forehead was two patients. They have been treated with stellate ganglion block (SCB), two times supraorbital and supratrochlear nerves blocks and neurolysis with absolute alcohol. Face affected patient has was one and has been treated with 5 times SGB, 2 times supraorbital and supratrochlear nerves blocks, infraorbital and mental nerves blocks, and then 2times maxillary and mandibular nerves blocks. Chest affected two patients were treated with intercostal nerve blocks. Thoracic wall affected one patient received 2 times thoracic epidural blocks and thoracic nerve block. Scapalur and thoracic wall affected patient has been treated with SGB and 2 times thoracic epidural block. The chest and thoracic wall affected patient received 10 times intercostal blocks,2 times thoracic epidural blocks,3 times thoracic root block and neurolysis of intercostal nerves with absolute alcohol. The injected agents were 1% mepibacaine or 0.25% mercain heavy and methylprednisolone succinated, and at weekly intervals the agents were injected. Results : All patient having been treated with nerve blocks were free of pain at 3-9 months. Conclusion : Although no controlled trial has been done of nerve blocks to treat postherpetic neuralgia, this technique is safe in experienced hands and, if effected, may be repeated. It suggested that local anesthetics and steroid are the effective components in nerve blocks. Data on the relief of acute pain with nerve blocks, however cannot be extrapolated to predict the prevention of postherpetic neuralgia. The best way to prevent herpes zoster becasuse of post herpetic neuralgia is so difficult to treat.
