        류마치스성 제1-2경추 아탈구 : 증례보고 Report of A Case

        Authors report a case of one-stage transoral decompression and posterior fusion in rheumatoid atlantoaxial subluxation. A 63-year-old man developed a rheumatiod atlantoaxial subluxation with mild weakness of all extremities which developed relatively suddenly 3 months after the initial symptom of neck pain. Skeletal traction followed by transoral decompression and occipitocervical fusion was performed on the same day. Postoperative course has been uneventful and revealed favorable fusion state of occipito-atlanto-axis. The pertinent literature on theumatoid atlanto-axial subluxation is reviewed and discussed.

        카드뮴 장기간 투여에 따른 흰쥐의 신장내 카드뮴 축적량과 뇨중 배설량의 변화

        This study was performed to compare the cadmium accumulation levels in kidney with urinary cadmium excretion levels according to the duration of cadmium exposure in rats. Total 120 male rats, 6 weeks of age, were administered 0.5 mg/day of Cd to subcutaneously, intraperitoneally and orally 6 times per week for 12 weeks. The animals were sacrificed in the 1st day of 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th week after beginning of cadmium administrations. Body weight, hematologic values, enzyme activities, renal Cd levels, urinary Cd and proteins were calculated and each value was compared according to the Cd administration routes. The Cd accumulation levels in the kidney of rats increased remarkably for 6-8th weeks which were experimented and urinary Cd excretion levels and urinary protein levels showed the tendency of increasing with the Cd accumulations in kidneys, especially in the subcutaneous injected rats. On the other hand, there was a significant positive correlation among the total Cd administration, the Cd accumulation in the kidneys, the urinary Cd excretion and protein.

        In this paper, reflex RGB data captured from WebCam is stored to HDD through USB port at every 5 seconds intervals. Also, if strangers are detected through Motion Detection routine, warning voice message is broadcasted and invasion message is transmitted by e-mail and transmit the e-mail title to mobile phone through WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) Push. The detected image is stored to hard-disk in 'month - day - hour - minute - second . jpg' data type. And the image data is transmitted to web server through FTP(File Transfer Protocol) because invader can deletes or destroys the image data on hard-disk. We implement a surveillance system which is able to utilize through internet regardless of time and space.

        뇌동맥류의 진단에 대한 전산화단층촬영 뇌혈관조영술과 고식적 뇌혈관조영술의 비교

        Cerebral angiography has been essential for the diagnosis of the intracranial aneurysms but. is sometimes accompanied by serious complications. Resolution of CT angiography was up-graded greatly to represent the three-demensional structure of vesseles since helical CT had been introduced. We have compared 26 cases of CT angiography and 28 cases of conventional angiography in terms of specificity and sensitivity for the diagnosis detectable aneurysm diameter. configurational diagnosis and diagnostic confidency. All results showed no statistical difference between CT angiography and conventional angiography. These should suggest that CT angiography could be replaced with conventional angiography for the diagnosis of ruptured aneurysms and even of unruptured aneurysms. resulting in the introduction of first screening modality of unruptured aneurysms.

        Background: Dendritic cells (DCs) are rare leucocytes that are uniquely potent in their ability to capture, process and present antigens to T cells, and so selectively migrate through tissues to reach lymph nodes and spleen where initiation of immune responses takes place. It has been reported that a dense infilteration of dendritic cells correlates with a favorable prognosis in several types of cancer. A similar correlation also has been noted in patients with papillary carcinoma of thyroid. The purpose of this study is to determine whether DCs are generated from peripheral blood monocytes by using cytokines such as GM-CSF, TNF-α, and IL-4 and whether cytotoxic T cells activated by DCs attack the papillary carcinoma tissues. Methods: Peripheral blood was obtained from 2 patients with thyroid papillary cancer. DCs were established from monocytes by culturing in the presence of GM-CSF, Flt-3 ligand. TNF-α , and IL-4 for14 days. At day 14, expression of surface markers typical for DCs was analyzed morphologically. The immunophenotypic features of DCs such as CDla, CD83, and CD86 were analyzed by phase contrast microscopy. At day 15 DCs were incubated with thyroid cancer tissues and normal thyroid tissues for 7 days. Results: DCs were generated from the peripheral blood monocytes. The generated cells had the classic morphology of DCs. Activated cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) were observed. Veiled cell known as circulating DCs attached to the thyroid cancer tissues were observed. The CTLs activated by DCs were observed to attack the papillary carcinoma tissues by scanning electron microscope. However, normal tissues were not attacked by CTLs. Conclusion: DCs can be generated from the peripheral blood monocytes. Futhermore, the CTLs activated by DCs also can attack the papillary carcinoma tissues. These results that DCs can be used as adjuvants for adoptive immunotherapy of papillary thyroid cancer.

      • 全南 珍島의 淡水漁類

        1987년 6월과 8월 2회에 걸쳐 珍島內의 7개 調査地点에서 淡水魚類의 분포, 生態 및 形態등을 조사하였다. 총 採集個體數는 2,753個體로 同定 결과는 9科 24屬 30種으로 밝혀졌으며 Pseudorasbora parva, Hemiculter eigenmanni, Abottina rivularis, Aphyocypris chinensis, Acanthorhodeus gracilis, Misgurnus mizolepis 등 6種의 1次 淡水魚와 Trachydermus faciatus, Tridentiger obscurus, T. trigonocephalus, Acanthogobius elongata, A. hasta, A. lactipes, A. flavimanus, Acentrogobius pflaumi, Pseudogobius masago, Mugilogobius abei, Chaenogobius annularis, C. mororanus, Periophthalmus cantonensis, Fugu niphobles 등14종 2次 또는 周綠性 淡水魚가 珍島에서 처음으로 그 분포가 확인되었다. 본 지역에서 採集된 1차 담수어 중 Abottina rivularis, Acanthorhodeus gracilis는 지금까지 어느 島嶼地方에서도 分布가 확인된 적이 없는 種이며, Cobitis longicorpus, A. gracilis는 韓國特産種으로 그중에 C. longicorpus는 珍島가 육지로부터 분리되기 전에 分布되었던 種으로 그리고 A.gracilis는 2次的인 이동에 의해 분포된 種으로 생각된다. 쌍계천 상류지역인 st.1(쌍계천계곡)과 st.3(창포교 일대)에서는 섬의 상류ㅣ지역의 전형적인 특징종인 M.oxycephalus, O. latipes가 st.4(송정저수지)와 st.7(둔전저수지)에서는 혼탁한 수질상태에서 주로 서식하는 H.eigenmanni, P.parva, C.auratus, A.rivularis 등이, st.6(금갑리)와 st.7(벽파리)에서는 汽水域에서 주로 서식하는 망둥어科 어류들이 서식하고 있는 특징을 보였다. 우점종인 M.oxycephalus와 H.eigenmanni의 全長組成과 分布上 特異한 種인A.gracilis, A.rivularis, C.longicorpus의 生態와 측정치 등을 밝혔다. Distributional, morphological and ecological characters of the freshwater fishes were investigated at the seven stations in Jin-do on June and August, 1987. In this survey, 9 families, 24 enera and 30 species (totally 2753 individuals) were collected and indentified. Among them, Pseudorasbora parva, Hemiculter eigenmanni, Abottina rivularis, Aphyocypris chinensis, Acanthorodeus gracilis, Misgrurnus nizolepis were primary freshwater fishes, and Trachydermus fasciatus, Tridentiger obscurus, T. trigonocephalus, Acanthogobius elongata, A. hasta, A. lactipes, A. flavimanus, Acentrogobius pflaumi, Pseudogobius masago, Mugilogobius abei, Chaenogobius annularis, C. mororanus, Periphthalmus cantonensis, Fugu niphobles were pheripheral fishes. It was remarded in the view point of zoogeography of island freshwater fish of Korea that A. rivularis and A. gracilis were observed in the present studied areas for the first time. Two endemic species of C. longicorpus and A. gracilis were found in the present studied area and the former was belived to be the originally distributed species, however the latter might be considered secondary distributed species originated from elsewhere. The abundant species of this studied area were M. oxycephalus, O. latipes at st.1 and st.3, and H.eigenmanni, P. parva, C. auratus, A. rivularis at st. 4 and st. 7 and the gobiid fishes were at st.5 and st.6. The total length of M. oxycephalus and H. eigenmanni, the dominant species of present studied area, were measured and analyzed. Morphological and ecological characters of A. rivularis, A. gracilis and C. longicorpus which were the characteristic species of the distribution were compared with those species reported previously by others.

      • 꿩에서 분리된 Newcastle Diesase Virus 내열성주 (CBP)의 Fusion(F) 유전자 클론닝과 염기서열 분석

        The gene encoding F protein of CBP-1 strain, a heat-stable Newcastle disease virus (NDV) isolated from the diseased pheasants in Korea, was characterized by reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), nucleotide and amino acid sequences. Virus RNA was prepared from the chorioallatoic fluid infected with NDV CBP-1 virus and cDNA was amplified by RT-PCR, cloned and sequenced to analyze. The PCR was sensitive as to detect the virus titer above 2^5 hemagglutination unit. 1.7kb (1,707bp) size of the cDNA was amplified and cloned into BamHI site of pVL1393 Baculo transfer vector. The uncleotide sequences for F protein were determined by dye terminator cyclic sequencing using four pairs of primers, and 553 amino acid sequences were predicted. In comparison of the nucleotide sequence of F gene of CBP-1 with those of other NDV strains, the homology revealed 88.8%, 98.5% and 98.7% with Kyojungwon (KJW), Texas GB and Beaudette C strains, respectively. As the deduced 553 amino acid sequences of F protein of CBP-1 were compared with those of other NDV strains, the homology appeared 89.9%, 98.7% and 98.9% with KJW, Texas GB and Beaudette C strains, respectively. The putative protease cleavage site (112-116) was R-R-Q-K-R, indicating that CBP-1 strain is velogenic type. The amino acid sequences include 6 sites of N-asparagine-linked glycosylation and 13 cysteine residues. These data indicate that the genotype of CBP-1 strain is more closely associated with the strains of Texas GB and Beaudette C than KJW strain.

        뇌성마비 아동의 통합치료교육 사례 연구

        본 연구는 한 뇌성마비 아동의 언어치료와 물리치료의 통합치료교육에 대한 사례 연구이다. 연구대상은 전남 D대학교 언어ㆍ청각임상 센터에서 치료를 받고 있는 아동으로 치료를 시작하기 전 언어장애 진단과 발달 영역별 진단 결과 스스로 신변자립이 불가능하고, 호흡도 스스로 조절하기가 어려운 상태였다. 또한 머리 조절이 불가능하여 사물을 주시하거나 손을 움직여 지적하기도 어려운 상태였다. 치료 초기에는 호흡과 인지 능력의 개선을 위한 지도에 중점을 두었다. 그러나 머리 조절이 어려운 관계로 호흡 훈련에 큰 진전이 없어 물리치료적인 측면에서의 진단을 통해 언어치료와 물리치료에서 통합적인 치료가 이루어지도록 수행하였다. 그러한 통합치료적인 접근을 수행하여 현재 치료가 이루어지고 있으며, 머리조절 개선과 함께 호흡조절과 발성 시간의 증가가 향상되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 향후 치료에서도 통합적인 관점에서 치료교육이 수행될 수 있도록 계획하고 지속적으로 학생의 발달 진전 사항을 관찰할 예정이다. This study is a case study on the interdisciplinary team approach for therapeutic education of a child with severe cerebral palsy. The subject is a female elementary school student being registered in a Language & Audilogy Center, Chonnam province. She is a non-ambulatory and nonverbal student. Before starting therapeutic education it was impossible for her to control of her head, respiratory and had movement. Because of non-control of her head she can not move her arm and hand freely and control the visual-movement coordination. In the beginning of therapeutic education, it was focused to the speech therapy composed to respiratory and voice production. But it was not effective. After interdisciplinary team approach including speech therapy as well as physical therapy, she was able to control her head movement, respiratory and voice production a little. According to control her head movement she can control her hand movement a little and accept the possibility of Augmentative and Alternative Communication intervention. In Conclusion, this results represent the importance of interdisciplinary team approach in the therapeutic education for children with cerebral palsy. Based on the above conclusion, it is need for following studies to develop transdisciplinary team approach program for therapeutic education and adapt it to the field of special education. And following studies need to include more various therapeutic education area and include more subjects.

      • 카드뮴투여가 흰쥐 고환의 조직변화와 단백질변화에 미치는 영향

        This study was done to investigate histochemical and protein changes in the rat testis I WAT and 3 WAT with 4 mg/kg of cadmium, IP, single injection. A control group and 2 experimental groups were studied. Testes were processed routinely for H&E stain and agarose gel electrophoresis. The results were as follows ; 1. In the histochemical studies, death of all the spermatogenic cells and Sertoli cells in the seminiferous tubules, and decreased ground substance, decreased fibroblasts and interstitial cells and increased inflammatory cells in the interstitial tissues were found in the cadmium treated groups, and the degree of necrotic changes was more severe in the 3 WAT group. 2. In the biochemical studies, two kinds of proteins, 25 kDa and 45 kDa, were disappeared and one kind of protein, 100 kDa, was decreased after Cd treatment. 25 kDa and 45 kDa proteins were suggested as actin which consist the spermatogenic cells, but what's the protein 100 kDa is unclear. According to the above results, it is considered that there would be irreversible changes in seminiferous convoluted tubules and also in the interstitial tissues after cadmium treatment, and detecting amino acid sequences of these proteins would help understanding the mechanism of necrosis in the testis tissue after cadmium administration.
