        An Improved Parametric Estimation Method of High-Resolution Bispectrum

        측정된 신호의 길이가 짧은 경우, 높은 해상도의 전력스펙트럼을 추정하는 매개변수 방법으로 최대 엔트로피 방법이 있다. 바이스펙트럼을 추정하기 위한 매개변수 방법은 최근에 제안되었는데 표본화한 데이터의 길이가 약 1000 정도의 비교적 짧은 신호에 적용할 경우 좋은 해상도를 얻기 어렵다. 이 논문에서는 위와 같은 비교적 짧은 신호에 대해서도 높은 해상도의 바이스펙트럼을 추정할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. The maximum entropy method is a well-known parametric estimation method of the power spectrum with high-resolution for short-time signals. Although a parametric estimation method for the bispectrum was proposed in recent years, it is not easy to estimate the bispectrum with high resolution for relatively short-time signals of which the total length is about 1000 data points. In this paper, a bispectrum estimation method is proposed to estimate the high-resolution bispectrum even for the relatively short-time signals.

        인삼(人蔘)과 홍삼(紅蔘)의 네트워크 약리학적 분석 결과 비교

        Objectives : Network pharmacology analysis is commonly used to investigate the synergies and potential mechanisms of multiple compounds by analyzing complex, multi-layered networks. We used TCMSP and BATMAN-TCM databases to compare results of network pharmacological analysis between White Ginseng(WG) and Red Ginseng(RG). Methods : WG and RG were compared with components and their target molecules using TCMSP database, and compound-target-pathway/disease networks were compared using BATMAN-TCM database. Results : Through TCMSP, 104 kinds of target molecules were derived from WG and 38 kinds were derived from RG. Using the BATMAN-TCM database, target pathways and diseases were screened, and more target pathways and diseases were screened compared to RG due to the high composition of WG ingredients. Analysis of component-target-pathway/disease network using network analysis tools provided by BATMAN-TCM showed that WG formed more networks than RG. Conclusions : Network pharmacology analysis can be effectively performed using various databases used in system biology research, and although the materials that have been reported in the past can be used efficiently for research on diseases related to targets, the results are unreliable if prior studies are focused on limited or narrow research areas.

        처음 진단받은 여성 유방암 환자와 갑상선암 환자에서 나타나는 불안, 우울 및 불면 증상

        Objectives In this study, we identified the symptoms of insomnia, anxiety, and depressed mood in newly diagnosed women breast and thyroid cancer patients. Methods The subjects of this study were 1794 women patients who visited the Ewha Womans University Cancer Center for Women. They included 1119 newly diagnosed primary breast cancer patients and 675 newly diagnosed primary thyroid cancer patients. The patients completed the National Cancer Center Psychological Symptom Inventory (NCC-PSI) during their first follow-up visit after surgery, before starting chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The NCC-PSI is composed of the modified distress thermometer (MDT) and the modified impact thermometer (MIT) for insomnia, anxiety, and depressed mood. Results Anxiety severity was found to be greater in breast cancer patients than in thyroid cancer patients. Significant levels of anxiety, depressed mood and insomnia were present in 28, 24.5, and 20.7% in all the subjects, respectively. Moreover, anxiety symptoms, depressed mood and insomnia interfered with the daily lives of 20, 18.4, and 14.2% of all the subjects, respectively. Dealing with anxiety (18.8%) was found to need the most help, followed by dealing with insomnia (8.9%) and depressed mood (8.7%). Conclusions A significant level of distress was found in about 40% of the total subjects. Nearly 30% of newly diagnosed breast cancer patients reported significant anxiety symptoms and interferences with daily living caused by anxiety, which most commonly needed special care. Early assessment and management of psychological distress, especially anxiety, in breast and thyroid cancer treatment are very important to establish integrated cancer care.

        Objectives : The propose of this study is to find out the clinical application of conservative treatment for SLAP lesion. Methods : We examined 2 patients with SLAP lesion who admitted Jaseng Hospital of Oriental Medicine. The patients were treated by conservative treatments including herbal mixture, acupuncture, pharmacupuncture. Results : In this study, in the end of continuous conservative treatment, patient's shoulder pain has improved. Visual Analog Score(VAS) were also decreased. Conclusions : A conservative treatment for SLAP lesion was effective in restore of functional activities, but usefulness of this treatment needs more study.

        기업 간 거래망에 기초한 기능적 경제권의 설정

        본 연구는 기업 간 거래망을 활용하여 지역 간 경제적 연계를 확인하고 경제적 상호의존성에 기초한 기능적 경제권을 설정하는데 그 목적이 있다. 기존의 경제권은 이미 알려진 행정도 경계나 문화적 동질성을 기준으로만 설정되거나 실증자료를 활용하더라도 통근, 인구이동, 화물흐름 등 경제활동을 충분히 설명하지 못하는 자료에만 의존하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해 한국기업데이터의 CRETOP+ 데이터베이스를 활용하여 실제 기업 간 거래망을 구축하고, 커뮤니티 발견법을 적용해 우리나라의 기능적 경제권을 파악하였다. 분석결과 거래망에 따라 6~7개의 경제권이 도출되었다. 특히 수도권, 충청권, 강원권을 통합한 하나의 거대한 경제권역이 형성되어 있었으며, 전북, 전남은 서로 간의 기업 간 거래빈도가 매우 낮아 호남권으로 묶이기보다 별도의 경제권을 형성하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 대구, 경북의 경제권과 부산, 경남의 경제권이 각각 존재하는 것으로 나타났지만 울산, 경주, 포항은 도 경계를 넘어서 별도의 권역을 형성하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 향후 국가균형발전정책에서 실증 자료에 기반한 정책공간의 설정이 필요함을 주장한다. The study aims to identify economic interdependencies between regions and define functional economic areas of Korea by analyzing inter-firm transaction networks. Previous research has relied on pre-given administrative boundaries or cultural homogeneity and used data such as commuting, population movement, and cargo flows which could not fully explain economic activities. To overcome the limitations, this study applies a community detection method to inter-firm transaction networks derived from the CRETOP+ database of Korean corporate data. The novel dataset and the network analysis enables us to identify Korea's functional economic areas based on actual inter-firm linkages. The result shows that there are six to seven economic blocs in the networks as of 2018. In particular, one huge economic bloc is formed integrating the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong, and Gangwon provinces. Meanwhile, North Jeolla and South Jeolla provinces form two economic blocs separately rather than being tied up in one bloc due to the low frequency of transactions between each other. The two big economic blocs of Daegu-Gyeongbuk and Busan-Gyeongnam exist, and interestingly, Ulsan, Gyeongju, and Pohang form a separate middle-sized bloc across the administrative boundaries. The results reveal that the future balanced national development policies should be implemented based on functional economic areas derived from empirical data.

        Evaluation of the Secondary Particle Effect in Inhomogeneous Media for Proton Therapy Using Geant4 Based MC Simulation

        In proton therapy, the analysis of secondary particles is important due to delivered dose outside the target volume and thus increased potential risk for the development of secondary cancer. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of secondary particles from proton beams on fluence and energy deposition in the presence of inhomogeneous material by using Geant4 simulation toolkit. The inhomogeneity was modeled with the condition that the adipose tissue, bone and lung equivalent slab with thickness of 2 cm were inserted at 30% (Plateau region) and 80% (Bragg peak region) dose points of maximum dose in Bragg curve. The energy of proton was varied with 100, 130, 160 and 190 MeV for energy dependency. The results for secondary particles were presented for the fluence and deposited energy of secondary particles at inhomogeneous condition. Our study demonstrates that the fluence of secondary particles is neither influenced insertion of inhomogeneties nor the energy of initial proton, while there is a little effect by material density. The deposited energy of secondary particles has a difference in the position placed inhomogeneous materials. In the Plateau region, deposited energy of secondary particles mostly depends on the density of inserted materials. Deposited energy in the Bragg region, in otherwise, is influenced by both density of inserted material and initial energy of proton beams. Our results suggest a possibility of prediction about the distribution of secondary particles within complex heterogeneity. 양성자 치료 시, 이차 입자는 암 부위 이외의 영역에 선량을 전달하고 이차 암 발생 가능성을 내재하기 때문에 이에 대한 정확한 분석은 중요한 역할을 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 불균질 물질에 의해 양성자 빔으로부터 발생 된 이차입자의 플루언스와 에너지 분포가 받는 영향에 대해 Geant4 (Geometry And Tracking) 전산모사를 통해 분석 하는 것이다. 불균질 조건은 브래그 커브 내에 최대 선량의 30% (플라토)와 80% (브래그 피크) 선량 지점에 두께 2 cm의 지방, 뼈 그리고 폐 등가 물질을 삽입하여 구성하였다. 또한, 양성자의 에너지는 100, 130, 160 그리고 190 MeV로 변화시켰으며, 이차 입자에 대한 결과는 불균질 물질에서의 이차입자의 플루언스와 에너지 분포로 나타내었다. 이차입자의 플루언스는 불균질 물질의 밀도에 적은 영향을 받지만, 삽입위치, 양성자의 초기 에너지에 따라서는 영향을 받지 않는다. 이차입자의 에너지 분포는 불균질 물질의 삽입 위치에 따라 다르다. 플라토 영역 내에서 이차입자의 에너지 분포는 물질의 밀도에 영향을 받지만, 브래그 영역 내에서는 불균질 물질의 밀도와 양성자의 초기 에너지에 영향을 받는다. 본 연구는 더욱 복잡한 불균질 물질에서의 이차입자의 분포에 대한 예측 가능성을 내제한다.

        조경업 출신으로 대한 전문건설협회 울산광역시회장에 선출된 이상걸 회장을 찾아서 취임소감과 앞으로 역점 사업 등 궁금한 점을 들어본다. 건설업의 20여개의 업종 중의 하나인 조경업 출신이 선출된 것은 극히 이례적인 일로서 약 20년 전 부회장직을 역임하신 김병오 회장에 이어 두 번째이다. 이상걸 회장은 현재 한국조경수협회 울산지회장이며, (주)월성조경 대표로서 지역사회발전에 부단한 노력을 경주하고 있다.

        해면 Callyspongia elegans에 서식하는 세균군집의 계통학적 다양성

        이 논문은 Callyspongia elegans에서 서식하는 세균군집에 관한 내용이다. 해양세균은 marine agar를 사용하여 해면동물 C. elelgans에서 분리하였다. 그 결과 112균주를 분리하였으며, 본 연구에 사용하였다. 현미경 및 그람 염색을 통해 형태학적 표현형질을 측정하였다. 분리균주의 집락 색소는 노란색, 갈색, 아이보리색, 흰색으로 나타났다. 그람염색 결과 37균주는 그람양성균이였으며, 75균주는 그람 음성균이었다. 균주의 형태는 분리균주 중 79균주는 구균형태로 관찰되었고, 16균주는 간균이었다. 16S rDNA 유전자 염기서열 분석을 통해 분리균주들의 계통학적 특성을 파악하였다. 그 결과, 분리된 112균주는 5개의 주요 계통군이 확인되었으며, Alphaproteobacteria는 39%, Gammaproteobacteria는 22%, Acinobacteria는 14%, Firmicutes는 9%, Bacteroidetes는 6%에 속하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 16S rDNA 유전자 염기서열을 통해 계통분석 결과 15균주가 새로운 속 또는 종으로 분류될 가능성을 나타났으며, 앞으로 추가적인 실험이 필요한 실정이다. The aim of this study was to investigate the bacterial community inhabited in Callyspongia elegans. Marine bacteria were isolated from the marine sponge C. elegans using marine agar. The resulting 112 isolated pure cultures were then used for further study. They were characterized by determining morphological characteristics through Gram's staining and morphological observation. The colony pigments of bacterial isolates were characterized as yellow, brown, ivory, and white. Thirty-seven strains were found to be Gram-positive and 75 strains were Gram-negative. Seventy-nine strains were coccus-shaped, while 16 strains were rod-shaped. On the basis of the results of the comparative analyses of 16S rDNA gene sequences, the 112 isolated bacteria were divided into 5 major groups: Alphaproteobacteria (39%), Gammaproteobacteria (22%), Actinobacteria (14%), Fimicutes (9%), and Bacteroidetes (6%). It is strongly suggested that fifteen isolates are candidates for a new genera or species, based on the analyses of 16S rDNA gene sequences.

        통영연안의 패류양식장 중단 이후 다모류 군집구조의 변화

        The recovery of the sedimentary environment around a fallowing shellfish farm during its rest period after 20 years of long-running operation, was explored in Tongyeong Bay of Korea. Seasonal survey on macrobenthos community was conducted from July 2016 to September 2018 at five stations, which included the fallowing shellfish farm after 20-year operation (FF), a newly installed shellfish farm (NF), a shellfish farm for comparison around the closed shellfish farm (CF), and control stations with no farming activities (Con1, Con2). The total number of species and the density of macrobenthos were higher at the shellfish farm stations than the non-shellfish farm station, and their seasonal changes were significant. The dominant species at the shellfish farm stations was Capitella capitata while Paraprionospio patiens was dominant at the non-shellfish farm stations. The two dominant species were potential organic contamination indicators usually inhabiting the areas with dense organic matter. This suggests that the overall survey area was highly polluted with organic matters. Multivariate analysis showed that the macrobenthic community of CF changed to a level similar to that of Con1 immediately after the investigation, but not to a state above the Con1 level. Furthermore, the changes in NF were not significant when compared to those in CF. 본 연구에서는 장기간 운영된 양식장에 휴지기가 주어졌을 때, 양식장 주변 퇴적 환경에서 나타나는 회복상태를 규명하고자 하였으며, 이를 위해 경남 통영의 수하식 굴양식장 일대에서 대형저서다모류 군집을 조사하였다. 2016년 7월부터 2018년 9월까지 20년간 운영된 후 폐쇄된 양식장(FF), 양식장의 이동으로 새롭게 설치된 양식장(NF), NF와 인접한 비교대상의 굴양식장(CF), 그리고 양식시설이 없는 두 개의 대조지역(Con1, Con2) 등 5개 정점에서 현장조사를 수행하였다. 출현종수와 서식밀도는 여름철에 감소하고 늦가을철 부터 증가하는 계절 변동을 보였으며, 양식장 정점들이 비양식장 정점들에 비해 높았다. 출현종의 상위우점종은 비양식장 정점에서는 Paraprionospio patiens, 양식장 정점에서는 Capitella capitata로 차이를 보였으나, 두 종 모두 유기물이 심한 지역에서 출현하는 잠재적 유기물 오염지시종으로 조사지역 저서환경의 유기물 오염이 상당히 진행되었음을 나타내었다. 다변량분석 결과, FF가 Con1과 군집구조가 유사한 수준으로 변화하였지만 Con1 이상의 상태로 회복을 나타내지 않았다.

        한의학적 치료를 받은 자폐 스펙트럼 장애 환아 63례에 대한 후향적 차트리뷰

        Objectives This study aimed to analyze the clinical characteristics of 63 patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) who received Korean medicine treatment. Methods This study identified and retrospectively reviewed the first visit records and clinical characteristics of all of the patients who visited the Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital and Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital at Gangdong in South Korea with ASD as their chief complaints. The herbal medicines that were prescribed according to the patient's symptoms were analyzed by separating them into categories. Results The data of 83 children with ASD were collected. Among them, the primary medical record charts of 63 patients were reviewed. Additional analysis was performed for 56 patients who were treated with herbal medicine. Through a retrospective chart review, the patients' clinical characteristics and the tendency of the prescribed herbal medicine was identified. Conclusions This study was conducted to provide preliminary data that proposes Korean medicine as a new alternative medical treatment. Our study is meaningful as it used the demographic and clinical records of 63 patients with ASD in Korea who visited an Korean medicine hospital in the last 11 years to identify tendencies and analyzed the prescriptions of two or more Korean medicine pediatricians.
