This paper is to analyze a steel member under fire based on the classical plastic hinge theory and to present an analysis method different from the FEM. With the temperature rising, the moment capacity is reduced and restraint forces additionally occur. If you know the reduction of the moment capacity with time and the sum of restraint moment and moment by load, you can find out the hinge-developing time by matching those two values. You can call that time the hinge-developing time or the collapse time. You could also find out where the hinges occur.
국내 VAN(부가가치 통신망)서비스의 활성화 방안에 관한 연구

After beginning with an agricultural revolutino ten thousand years ago, we mankind have made a living in the intdustrializaion society given from the Industrial Revolution in the middle of the eighteeth century, nowadays made a living in the informationized society given from the technical civilization of the twentieth century. The informationized scoiety is a high level of the informationnal system, which means that the communication network for cobmining every fields of society should be built, and manifold services should be supplied all over the world through computers. Like this, the informationized scoiety could be able for us to use the communications from the phonetic ones of the past to the enhanced letter ones, pioture ones, and bring up-to-date civillzation witch would have the same oultural benefit at the same time regardless of either place or time of the etrth. That is to say, the advent of computer opened a simplified method which would lead to the information societh for mankind. The computer always take its place at the middle of this benefit, nowadYS VAN service is appeared, which is the one of hybrid service forms of combining computer se-rice and communication service. This VAN service is not the obvious entity. According to nation's environment, time, an angle of view, this VAN service makes great service these days. Already the VAN service was introduced to developed countries including U.S.A and Japan ten years ago, and became fixed as the form of enhanced service, showing signs of life. But weare still in an early stage of VAN service, so that it necessary that more time and pains are needed until becoming fixed on high level of service. Like this VAN service becomes inevitable form of the fo rthcoming informationized society, and it is assured that VAN services will be developed into more high level of the information system. Therefore according to this study, the summay of aotivationoheme of VAN service is as follows ; 1. Putting in good order of a law and the system. 2. Establishing the standards. 3. Minimizing the reverse-function. 4. Propelling mind diffusion and enlargement of the lowest stratum of society of users. 5. Necessary for lawful, systematic, technical support on the government level powerfully. 6. Making specialists into high class and improvement of education effect. It is pointed out that VAN service is the inevitable problem for becoming fixed as high level service in our society by above result of this study. But phased procedures are needed for VAN service activation in Korea, and a long-term sense of disorimination is needed. At present we are barely in a introduction stage, and approach to the imitation stage of the level of developed countries, so that it is expected that VAN service of Korea would show signs of life in the nineteen hundred nineties.

Objective: Occupational medicine specialists in the Busan, Ulsan and Kyung-Nam areas established an area-based occupational disease surveillance system and used this system to collected case information for the purpose of preventing occupational diseases Methods: l l hospital participated in this system. The authors selected five main diseases, which were hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), work-related musculoskeletal disorder (WRMSD), occupational asthma, occupational skin disease and occupational and occupational lung cancer and established their case definitions. All cases were reported on the web, and real time analysis was conducted. Results: Between April 2001 and April 2003, 192 cases of HAVS, 118 cases of WRMSD, 33 cases of occupational asthma, 17 cases of occupational skin disease and 17 cases of occupational lung cancer (for a total of 377 cases of these five main diseases) were reported. most of the HAVS cases came from shipbuilding, and 172 of them (92.7%) were associated with grinding. Of the four main types of WRMSD, carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) was the most prevalent with 46 cases and shipbuilding was also the main industry involved (83.9%). The ergonomic risk factors involved mainly associated with the hand. In 19 (57.6%) and 4 (12.1%) cases of occupational asthma, the agents involved. The causative agents of occupational lung cancer included Cr, welding fume, PAH, Ni, etc. 10(58.8%) of the cases were diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma and 5(29.4%) as adenoma. Conclusion: This result showed that an area-based occupational disease surveillance system might provide an effective method of evaluating the prevalence of such diseases, however the Busan, Ulsan and Kyung-Nam provinces are too large to be treated as individual areas. Therefore, the authors suggest that each province should establish its own surveillance system.

An 51-year-old woman presented with microscopic hematuria without protenuria for long time. Laboratory studies demonstrated the presence of red blood cells in urine, a normal serum IgM level, the absence of antinuclear antibodies, and a normal complement level. Renal biopsy revealed that some glomeruli are enlarged with endocapillary cell proliferation and a few glomeruli exhibit prominent vascular pole of the tufts and segmental increase in mesangial cell and matrix. Immunofluorescence studies demonstrated segmental granular deposits for IgM. Electron microscopy showed well-preserved foot process associated with focal effacement. Biopsy findings were consistent with IgM nephropathy. We present this case to promote understanding of the pathogenesis of IgM nephropathy. (Korean J Nephrol 2002;21(2):317-321)

<P><B>Objectives</B></P><P>Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a common cancer with high rate of recurrence and mortality. Diverse aetiological agents and wide heterogeneity in individual tumours impede effective and personalised treatment. Tonicity-responsive enhancer-binding protein (TonEBP) is a transcriptional cofactor for the expression of proinflammatory genes. Although inflammation is intimately associated with the pathogenesis of HCC, the role of TonEBP is unknown. We aimed to identify function of TonEBP in HCC.</P><P><B>Design</B></P><P>Tumours with surrounding hepatic tissues were obtained from 296 patients with HCC who received completion resection. TonEBP expression was analysed by quantitative reverse transcription–quantitative real-time PCR (RT-PCR) and immunohfistochemical analyses of tissue microarrays. Mice with TonEBP haplodeficiency, and hepatocyte-specific and myeloid-specific TonEBP deletion were used along with HCC and hepatocyte cell lines.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>TonEBP expression is higher in tumours than in adjacent non-tumour tissues in 92.6% of patients with HCC regardless of aetiology associated. The TonEBP expression in tumours and adjacent non-tumour tissues predicts recurrence, metastasis and death in multivariate analyses. TonEBP drives the expression of cyclo-oxygenase-2 (COX-2) by stimulating the promoter. In mouse models of HCC, three common sites of TonEBP action in response to diverse aetiological agents leading to tumourigenesis and tumour growth were found: cell injury and inflammation, induction by oxidative stress and stimulation of the COX-2 promoter.</P><P><B>Conclusions</B></P><P>TonEBP is a key component of the common pathway in tumourigenesis and tumour progression of HCC in response to diverse aetiological insults. TonEBP is involved in multiple steps along the pathway, rendering it an attractive therapeutic target as well as a prognostic biomarker.</P>

Recently, there are many commercialized applications which exploit body signals in non-invasive manner. For instance, body signals are frequently applied in the field of surveillance such as face recognition, iris recognition, and finger print recognition. Furthermore, the health inspection by analyzing body signals becomes also a potential application since subtle body motion signals such as heart rate can intuitively show human health state. In this paper, we propose a method that estimates such subtle body motion by magnifying the signal of human skin. First, the specific region of interest(ROI) is cropped to reduce the computational complexity. Then, HSV color space conversion is conducted to extract the color information. In the converted color space, hue(H) signal is magnified based on Eulerian video magnification. Finally, subtle body motion is estimated by analyzing inflection points of the magnified hue(H) signal. Experimental results validate the proposed method can estimate the human motion (e.g. heart rate) with high accuracy.

본 저지들은 성인에서 체중 조절을 목적으로 이뇨제를 장기간 오용하여 발생한 신석회화증을 경험하고 이에 대한 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Nephrocalcinosis in the adult has many causes, some of which reflect serious renal disease. The major abnormal imaging pattern is the large, diffusely hyperechoic kidney with abnormal architecture. Its differential diagnosis includes hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, hyperparathyroidism, sarcoidosis, uremia, increased Ca×P, metastatic calcification. The ultrasonic screening of the patients is essential in the evaluation. Other causes of the enlarged hyperechoic kidneys with abnormal architecture include chronic diuretics abuse, medullary sponge kidney and gouty nephropathy. Furosemide and acetazolamide are often used concurrently to control weight in young woman. We experience a case of nephrocalcinosis associated with chronic furosemide abuse. We report that long-term furosemide abuse can cause medullary nephrocalcinosis in adults.
