With the rapid spread of the practice of collecting and treating data by using a data base system, it's increasingly more critical to approach data sets in the same manner as general records in the collection, evaluation, preservation, and utilization process. Despite the importance, however, the interest level in data sets in Korea's records management is very low. In order to suggest basic items to regard data sets as records and manage them systematically, this study examined the descriptive elements of data set records. descriptive elements of data set records were suggested by comparing and analyzing those ones adopted by the agencies that regarded data sets as records and provided the concerned service as well as the descriptive rules of electronic records set by the advanced nations in records management based on the descriptive areas of ISAD(G).

A bolt-clamped ultrasonic viscometer was designed and fabricated using a pair of ring-shaped piezoelectric ceramic resonators. For its compactness and low operation frequencies, simulation of piezoelectric resonators was carried out using an ATILA program. Ring-shaped resonators using $0.05Pb(Mn_{1/3}Sb_{2/3})O_3-0.95Pb(Zr_{0.475}Ti_{0.525})O_3$ ceramics were prepared by a conventional ceramic processing, which were then clamped with a pair of metal caps. The fabricated sensor module with a small volume of less than 1 $cm^3$ and an operation frequency as low as 26.5 kHz showed a good relationship between its quality factor and the viscosity of oil.
Preparation of Lead-free (K,Na)NbO3-LiSbO3 Ceramics with High Piezoelectric Constants by FeO Doping

Lead-free 0.95(K0.52Na0.48)NbO3-0.05LiSbO3 (KNN-LS) ceramics doped with FeO were prepared by conventional solid sintering, and their dielectric and piezoelectric properties were explored. The results indicated that FeO-doping was highly effective in densification and growth of KNN-LS ceramics, leading to significant enhancement in both the dielectric and the piezoelectric constants. The 1-mol% FeO-doped KNN-LS ceramics sintered at 1050 ℃ for 2 h exhibited a piezoelectric constant, d33, of 311 pC/N, which is higher than the value reported so far for untextured KNN ceramics.

To accurately assess the potential hazard of exposure to ionizing radiation form portable radiographs taken in the emergency department, a study was performed to measure such radiation at different distances from the edge of an irradiated field during portable cervical spine, portable chest radiographs, and portable anteroposterior pelvis radiographs. For all three types of portable radiographs, radiation exposure is high at the edge from the beam. However, radiation exposure is decreased at 20, 40, 80, 160㎝ away from the beam. This study confirms and supports the evidence that although radiation exposure is dependent on distance from the primary radiograph beam, exposure in the ED is minimal. Medical personnel should not have to leave a patient care area for fear of undue acute and chronic radiation exposure while portable radiographs are performed in the ED. By using protective garment and standing appropriate distance away from the patient, continuous patient care can be maintained while portable radiographs are taken in the ED.
