Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were treated with ultrasonic (40kHz) and microbubble. The organic serum components, glucose were decreased compared to control at microbubble single treatment (M) and ultrasonic treatment (UL), but glucose concentrations in fish serum of all experimental groups analyzed in this study were also within the normal range. The organic serum components, cholesterol and total protein were no significant change by ultrasonic and microbubble treatment. There were no significant changes in the lysozyme activity on ultrasonic and microbubble treatment. Serum bactericidal activity decreased on ultrasonic single treatment (UL) compared to the control (P<0.05), but the numbers of bacterial colonies were significantly lower than those in the negative (PBS). The results of this study indicate that ultrasonic and microbubble treatment did not have a critical effect on the serum composition and innate immunity of O. mykiss, and that it is a way to do not significant stress on the fish body as a countermeasure against sea lice.

서울지역에 유통되고 있는 국내산 및 수입산 건조농산물 58건을 대상으로 다성분 등시분석방법에 따라 GC-NPD, GC-μECD, HPLC-UV와 HPLC-FLD로 분석가능한 총 253종의 농약잔류량을 분석한 후 GC-MSD로 확인한 결과 총 14건의 건조농산물에서 잔류농약이 검출되어 24.1%의 검출률을 나타내었고, 이 중 건조 채소류의 검출률은 25.5%였다. 품목별 잔류농약의 검출률은 건조과채류, 간조엽채류, 건조엽경채류 순으로 높았으며, 특히 건조과채류 중 건조고추의 잔류농약 분포가 다양하고 검출빈도가 상당히 높았다. 건조농산물의 기준에 없는 12종의 잔류농약이 검출되었으며, 합성피레스로이드계, 유기염소계, 유기인계 순으로 검출빈도가 높았고, 특히 합성피레스로이드계 중 cypermethrin의 검출횟수가 가장 많았다. 또한 대상목적에 따라 분류하면, 살충제, 살균제, 제초제, 살선충제 순서로 검출건수가 많았다. 산지별로 보면, 국내산, 중국산, 북한산, 미국산, 베트남산의 순서로 잔류농약의 검출건수가 많았으며, 국내산은 과채류에서 수입산은 엽경채류에서 산류농약의 검출빈도사 높았다. The purpose of this study was to investigate 253 kinds of pesticide residues in 58 commercial dried agricultural products in Seoul. The determinations of the pesticide residues were performed using multiresidue methods and were carried out by a gas chromatography-nitrogen phosphorus detector (GC-NPD), an electron capture detector (GC-μECD), a mass spectrometry detector (GC-MSD) and high performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet detector (HPLC-UV), and a fluorescence detector (HPLC-FLD). The pesticide residue detection rate in the commercial dried agricultural products was 24.1% (14 of 58 samples). Twelve pesticide residues without maximum residue limits (MRLs) were detected. In the vegetable groups, the frequency of pesticide residues was found to be in the increasing order of dried fruiting vegetables > dried leafy vegetables > dried stalk and stem vegetables. The pesticides used on dried red pepper in the dried fruiting vegetables were varied (7 kinds) and numerous (4 of 8 samples). The pesticide types detected in the commercial dried agricultural products were in the order of pyrethroid > organochloride > organophosphorus and insecticide > fungicide > herbicideㆍnematicide. The primary pyrethroid pesticide detected was cypermethrin. According to the producing areas of products, large numbers of pesticide residues were found in the order of Korea, China, North Korea, USA, and Vietnam.

Benign tumors of the liver are rare, and Henson and associates collected only 34 hemangiomas between 1907 and 1954 at the Mayo Clinic. Most of the cavernous hemangiomas of the liver are small in size, and produce no symptoms during life, but some can reach massive proportions and often present as abdominal masses or causes symptoms by encroachment on adjacent viscera. We have recently been confronted by two case of those large tumors, which has prompted this report with a review of this relatively rare condition. 1) A 32-year-old woman was admitted because of anorexia and indigestion associated with headache, myalgia, mild elevation of fever and weight loss of 5kg in two months. Examination of the abdomen disclosed one finger breadth palpable liver which was slightly tender. A large intrahepatic space-occupying lesion was discovered on radionuclide scan, ultrasonography and computed tomography of the abdomen. Selective hepatic angiography revealed characteristic features of puddling of contrast media along the branches of right and middle hepatic arteries throughout the arterial and venous phase of the angiograms. The resected specimen using Cavitron Ultrasonic Surgical Aspirator was proved to a giant cavernous hemangioma of the liver on microscopic exam. A 32-year-old man came to the hospital because of abdominal pain and a extremely huge mass nearly occupying the whole of his belly. The lesion was found to be a multiloculated highly echogenic mass in the left lobe of the liver on ultrasonography, and a huge hypodense, well-circumscribed homogeneous one with central low density component in the liver on computed tomography of the abdomen. Extensive pooling of contrast media was found throughout the markedly enlarged liver with persistence of tumor stain wliich was measured to be about 25cm in diameter until the late venous phase of the selective hepatic arteriograms. The tumor was considered to be an unresectable one, and we recommended radiation therapy.

Objective: To determine whether the size of a perfusion defect seen at myocardial perfusion MR imaging represents the extent of irreversibly damaged myocardium in acute reperfused myocardial infarction. Materials and Methods: In nine cats, reperfused myocardial infarction was induced by occlusion of the left anterior descending coronary artery for 90 minutes and subsequent reperfusion for 90 minutes. At single-slice myocardial perfusion MR imaging at the midventricular level using a turbo-FLASH sequence, 60 short-axis images were sequentially obtained with every heart beat after bolus injection of gadomer-17. The size of the perfusion defect was measured and compared with both the corresponding unstained area seen at triphenyl tetrazolium chloride (TTC) staining and the hyperenhanced area seen at gadophrin-2-enhanced MR imaging performed in the same cat six hours after myocardial perfusion MR imaging. Results: The sizes of perfusion defects seen at gadomer-17-enhanced perfusion MR imaging, unstained areas at TTC staining, and hyperenhanced areas at gadophrin-2-enhanced MR imaging were 20.4±4.3%, 29.0±9.7%, and 30.7±10.6% of the left ventricular myocardium, respectively. The perfusion defects seen at myocardial perfusion MR imaging were significantly smaller than the unstained areas at TTC staining and hyperenhanced areas at gadophrin-2- enhanced MR imaging (p < .01). The sizes of both the perfusion defect at myocardial perfusion MR imaging and the hyperenhanced area at gadophrin-2-enhanced MR imaging correlated well with the sizes of unstained areas at TTC staining (r = .64, p = .062 and r = .70, p = .035, respectively). Conclusion: In this cat model, the perfusion defect revealed by myocardial perfusion MR imaging underestimated the true size of acute reperfused myocardial infarction. The defect may represent a more severely damaged area of infarction and probably has prognostic significance.

The likelihood of survival from folminant hepatic failure is extremely poor despite various therapeutic approaches. The liver transplantation has had the single test impact on the management of fulminant hepatic failure, but liver transplantation is risky and expensive. Moreover, a shortage of liver donors makes it difficult to procure an organ within a useful time frame. For these reasons, many efforts have been made to provide meticulous support to permit regeneration of liver parenchyme or to bridge patients to liver transplantation. One of them is the continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). Since the CRRT provides the greatest cardiac and intracranial stability, it becomes a preferred treatment for patients with hepatic failure which develop acute renal failure. We report a case of fulmlinant hepatic failure accompanying with acute renal failure. The patient in this case recovered during CRRT.

Effect of aqueous chlorine dioxide ($ClO_{2}$) treatment on quality change of mackerel during storage was examined. Mackerel treated with 0, 5, 10, and 50 ppm of $ClO_{2}$ solution, respectively was stored at $4^{\circ}C$. $ClO_{2}$ treatment decreased populations of aerobic bacteria in mackerel during storage. The number of total aerobic bacteria of mackerel treated with 50 ppm $ClO_{2}$ increased from 2.45 to 3.44 log CFU/g after 9 days of storage, while that of the control increased from 3.47 to 4.72 log CFU/g. The pH values of mackerel increased during storage, with no significant changes among treatments. Volatile basic nitrogen values of mackerel were decreased by $ClO_{2}$ treatment. Quality of mackerel treated with $ClO_{2}$ was better than that of the control during storage based on sensory evaluation. These results indicate that aqueous $ClO_{2}$ treatment could be useful for improving the microbial safety and qualities of mackerel.

육상 양식장 수질 모니터링 시스템의 데이터 신뢰도 향상 및 효율적 시스템 운영을 위하여 현재 시험 운영중인 육상 해수 양식장과 해양환경정보망(완도조위관측소)의 수질 데이터를 비교 분석한다. 또한 수질 모니터링 시스템의 데이터 오류를 제거하고, 측정 데이터의 신뢰도를 높이는 방법으로 데이터 유효성 검증, 데이터 범위 필터, 데이터 변위 검사를 적용하여 비교 분석한다. To improve the data on reliability of the onshore fish farm water quality monitoring system and operate the system efficiently, the water quality data of the onshore seawater fish farms which are progressing test operation, and the marine environmental information network(Wando tidal station) were compared and analyzed. Furthermore, data validation, data range filters, and data displacement checks were applied to analyze the data in a way that eliminates the data errors in water quality monitoring systems and increases the reliability of measurement data.
