Demodulation wants to adaptive equalizer to minimize interference of intersymbol which generate in multipath fading channel results from signal time and variety multi propagation through channel in digital radio network systems. Therefore using transition ratio of transfer and receiver system and the number of forward and backward using existing individual taps, we study improvement algorithms which generated bit error ratio by signal in frequence select fading. We analysis and compare linear equalizer and decision feedback nonlinear equalizer. Proposed algorithm is more efficent in fading environment when compared of step size by channel character which estimated existing least square and ITLMS algorithm. In this paper, using ITLMS algorithm by decision feedback BER is reduced for intersymbol interference by narrowband TDMA multipath fading in invironment without individual tap weight overlay.

<P>Adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AdMSCs) represent an attractive and ethical cell source for stem cell therapy. With the recent demonstration of MSC homing properties, intravenous applications of MSCs to cell-damaged diseases have increased. In the present study, the toxicity and tumorigenicity of human AdMSCs (hAdMSCs) were investigated for clinical application. Culture-expanded hAdMSCs showed the typical appearance, immunophenotype, and differentiation capacity of MSCs, and were genetically stable at least 12 passages in culture. Cells suspended in physiological saline maintained their MSC properties in a cold storage condition for at least 3 days. To test the toxicity of hAdMSCs, different doses of hAdMSCs were injected intravenously into immunodeficient mice, and the mice were observed for 13 weeks. Even at the highest cell dose (2.510(8) cells/kg body weight), the SCID mice were viable and had no side effects. A tumorigenicity test was performed in Balb/c-nu nude mice for 26 weeks. Even at the highest cell dose (210(8) MSCs/kg), no evidence of tumor development was found. In a human clinical trial, 8 male patients who had suffered a spinal cord injury >12 months previous were intravenously administered autologous hAdMSCs (410(8) cells) one time. None of the patients developed any serious adverse events related to hAdMSC transplantation during the 3-month follow-up. In conclusion, the systemic transplantation of hAdMSCs appears to be safe and does not induce tumor development.</P>

상엽과 상심자, 구기자, 인삼 등은 당뇨에 효능이 있는 것으로 널리 알려진 약재들이다. 본 실험에서는 기본 실험을 통하여 상엽, 상심자, 구기자, 인삼, 차가버섯의 최적 배합비와 최적의 추출방법으로 엑기스 형태로 만들어진 소당엑스™와 이를 특허 출원한 방법으로 백미에 코팅한 소당미™를 사용하여 시험한 결과 Alloxan으로 당뇨를 유도한 마우스, 정상인, 그리고 당뇨환자 모두에서 혈당이 저하되었음을 확인하였다. 따라서 소당엑스™와 소당미™는 당뇨환자의 혈당 조절 및 합병증 예방에 효과적이므로 당뇨 식이요법제로서 이용될 수 있는 건강 식품으로 사료된다. Mulberry, Mori folium leaves and fruits, Lycii fructus, and Panax ginseng have been known to maintain normal blood sugar levels in folk medicine. Here we investigated the effects of coated rice (Sodangmi™) with these herb extracts to diabetes mellitus patients. Alloxan-induced diabetic mice (80 ㎎/㎏ bw, i.v.) separated into 4 groups. 2 groups received the mixed extracts of these plants (Sodang Extract™) orally everyday for 4 weeks. Positive control received Alloxan except Sodang Extract™. Negative control received neither Alloxan nor Sodang Extract™. Blood sugar levels, volume of water consumed, body weights of each group were measured and compared. Blood sugar levels in the Alloxan and Sodang Extract™-received groups got close to normal levels on 4th week after starting the experiments. Volume of water consumed also showed similar pattern. Blood sugar levels in positive control remained high through the experimental periods. Body weights in positive control remained low, but those in the extracts-received groups recovered to normal levels. The clinical trials for both of healthy volunteers and diabetes mellitus patients also showed Sodangmi™ could control blood sugar level. The blood sugar level decreased since 3rd week after starting to receive Sodangmi™, and the difference between the blood sugar level before and after the meal was decreased significantly by receiving Sodangmi™. From these results, we suggest that the functional rice with herb extracts could be used as a new alimentotherapy for diabetes mellitus patients.

Obesity is one of causes of the all adult diseases. We investigated the body weight decrease effect of the selected plants by digestive enzyme activity inhibition test. In a preliminary test, Inonotus obliquus and Rubus coreanus Miq. were found to be effective. Based on this result & previous result, we manufactured the mixture of plant extracts named as MisolTM. Misol is applied anti-obesity beverage and rice. When we administered MisolTM to rats, it was found to be effective in body weight decrease. Result that is experimented during 20 weeks, is effective body weight and total cholesterol, triglyceride decrease. In case of human, anti-obesity beverage administered group showed 5.65% body weight decrease, 4% waist length decrease and 6% abdomen length decrease respectively. And anti-obesity rice administered group showed 2.3kg body weight decrease, 2.9 cm waist length decrease and 3.74 cm abdomen length decrease respectively. This body control effect was<br/> supported by plant extracts in the Misol, anti-obesity beverage and rice - administered group. From these results, we suggest that this functional food could be helpful for body weight controlling<br/> obesity.

Aplastic anemia is a disease characterized by pancytopenia in the peripheral blood and hypocellular bone marrow with the fatty infiltration. The causes of the acquired aplastic anemia were usually related to drugs and immune-related diseases. A 34-years old man was admitted due to general weakness. He has been going hemodialysis for 2 years because of end stage renal disease (ESRD) due to chronic glomerulonephritis. At admission, laboratory tests showed hemoglobin 6.2 g/dL, hematocrit 18.0 %, WBC 5,710mm (neutrophil 71.8%, lymphocyte 19.1%, monocyte 5.9%), reticulocyte 1.9%, platelet 93,000/mm, Fe 12.8 ug/dL, TIBC 204 ug/dL, ferritin 941.47 ng /ml, haptoglobin 0.72 g/L, vitamin B12 508.17 pmol/L, folate 24 ng/mL, total protein 6.54 g/dL, albumin 3.76 g/dL, Alk. pohsphatase 79 IU/L, AST 30.0 IU/L, ALT 39.7 IU/L, total bilirubin 0.57 mg/dl, BUN 79.4 mg/dl and creatinine 10.18 mg/dl. Peripheral blood smear showed the normocytic normochromic anemia with anisocytosis. Anemia was diagnosed but it was irresponsive to the recombinant human erythropoietin (EPO) and blood transfusion. In the bone marrow aspiration smear were there the hypoplastic myeloid and erythroid precursors. The bone marrow biopsy section showed the hypoplasia of all components (10-20%) and the fatty infiltration. We have experienced one case of the idiopathic aplastic anemia in a patient going through hemodialysis and we just report it with documentary records. 저자들은 혈액 투석 중인 환자에서 약물, 면역계 이상등의 원인을 발견할 수 없었음에도 재생 불량성 빈혈이 발생한 1예를 경험하여 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Background: Psoriatic arthritis (PsA), associated with psoriasis (PsO), is a chronic inflammatory disease of the joints. The prevalence of PsA among the PsO patients is significantly different between previous studies, and there is little research on the prevalence in Korea. Objectives: To measure the prevalence of PsA among PsO patients and validate the PsA screening questionnaires. Methods: A cross-sectional observational study was conducted on 220 patients with PsO by using Psoriatic Arthritis Screening and Evaluation tool (PASE) and Psoriasis Epidemiology Screening Tool (PEST). To confirm the diagnosis of PsA, patients with possibility of PsA were finally referred to the rheumatologist. Results: Among 220 patients, 48 patients in PEST and 24 patients in PASE showed high scores in the screening questionnaires, and only 9 of these 52 patients were diagnosed with PsA by radiological and serological tests. In this study, the prevalence of PsA in PsO patients was 4% and the sensitivity was higher in PEST compared to PASE. Most PsA patients had polyarthritis, and joints on the fingers and knees are the most common. There was no association between PsA and current Psoriasis Area Severity Index(p=0.715), but 77% (n=7/9) of patients with PsA had nail involvement. Conclusion: Through this study, we have identified the low prevalence of PsA in Korean PsO patients and concluded that the PsA screening questionnaire might be helpful in the screening and treatment of PsA in dermatologists or PsO patient
