        양극성 장애 환자에 있어서 Tyrosine Hydroxylase 유전자의 VNTR 다형성

        목 적: Tyrosine Hydroxylse는 대뇌 카테콜아민 합성에 관여하는 속도 제한 효소로서 양극성 장애의 주요원인 유전자로서 관심의 대상이 되고 있다. 이에 저자들은 tyrosine hydroxylse 유전자의 첫 번째 intron내 VNTR 다형성 부위와 양극성 장애와의 유전적 연관성을 알아보고자 본 연구를 시행하였다. 방 법: 115명의 양극성 장애 환자와 85명의 정상 대조군을 대상으로(TCAT) 반복 염기 서열을 포함하는 VN-TR 다형성 부위를 중합효소연쇄 반응을 이용하여 증폭한 후 유전자를 동정하였다. 분리된 4종류의 대립 유전자를(TCAT) 반복 횟수에 의한 다형성에 의거하여 각각 A : (TCAT)6, C ; (TCAT)7 C : (TCAT)a, 그리고 D : (TCAT)9로 나누어 대립유전자와 유전자형에 따른 빈도 차이를 비교하였고, 환자군을 가족력유무와 발병 연령에 따른 임상 아형으로 나눈 후 각 대립유전자의 빈도를 조사하여 비교하였다. 결과 1) 환자군과 대조군 사이의 대립유전자 비교에서는 환자군이 대조군보다 A형의 빈도가 유의하게 낮았고 D형의 빈도는 유의하게 높음을 보였다. 또한 유전자형에 따른 비교에서 BD형이 환자군에서 유의하게 높았다. 2) 환자군을 가족력 유무에 따라 가족력이 있는 군과 가족력이 없는 군으로 나누어 각각 및 대조군과 대립유전자 빈도를 비교하였을 때 가족력이 있는 군과 가족력이 없는 군 사이에서는 차이가 없었으나. 대조군과 비교시 가족력이 있는 군에서 A형이 유의하게 낮았고 D형이 유의하게 높은 빈도를 보였다. 3) 환자군을 발병 연령에 따라 조기 및 만기 발병 군으로 나누어 각각 및 대조군과 대림유전자 빈도를 비교하였을 때 조기 발병군이 만기 발병군에 비해 D형이 유의하게 높았고, 대조군과 비교시 조기 발병군 에서 A형이 유의하게 낮았고 D형이 유의하게 높은 빈도를 보였다. 결 론: 본 연구를 통하여 저자들은 TH 유전자 첫 번째 intron내의 VNTR 다형성 좌위가 양극성 장애와 유전적 연관이 있음을 추정할 수 있었으며, 특히 대림유전자 A형과 D형이 양극성 장애와 관련된 유전자로서 작용할 가능성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. Objectives :Tyrosule hydroxylase(TH) is a rate-limiting enzyme in the synthesis of catecholamines, and could be a candidate gene for causing the bipolar disorders. Therefore, we designed this study to investigate the association of the VNTR(variable number of tandem repeats) polymorphic locus in the first intron of the TH gene with bipolar disorders. Methods: We typed VNTR polymorphic region of the TH gene using PCR in 115 bipolar patients and 85 normal controls. Four types of alleles(A, B, C, D) were typed according to the difference of the repeat(TCAT)6-9 number. The frequencies of allele and genotype were compared between patients and normal controls, and in patients and normal controls allelic frequencies were compared respectively in terms of family history of affective disorders and age of onset. Results . 1) The allelic frequencies were significantly lower in type A, and significantly higher in type D in patient group compared to control. The genotype frequencies were significantly higher in type BD in patient group than in control group. 2) In comparing the allelic frequencies among patient group with and without family history and control group, there were no significant differences between groups with and without family history, whereas patient group with family history showed lower significance in type A and higher significance in type D compared to control group. 3) In comparing the allelic frequencies among patient groups with early onset and late onset and control group, patient group with early onset showed higher significance in type D than patient group with late onset and showed lower significance in type A and higher significance in type D compared to control group. Conclusions : The authors conclude that the VNTR polymorphic region of the TH gene might be associated with bipolar disorders, and type A and type D alleles might be susceptibility genes of bipolar disorder.

        A practical method is proposed to construct a slide-way joint structure as an equivalent stiffness matrix element in the methematical modeling of structural dynamic characteristics. At first, the detail finite element model of a slide-way joint structure was buildup. From the finite element model, the equivalent stiffness matrix element was constructed by using the influence coefficient method and Guyan condensation concept. The proposed method was applied to finite element modeling and analysis of a double column gate type grinding machine structure. And the analysis results were compared with those from the equivalent spring element modelling method by Yoshimura??. Both results are in good agreement.

        Existing manufacturing system has consumed too much energy, space and resource in micro parts manufacturing. To improve this, micro factory system is suggested. But it is difficult to get the high reliability in the assembly, production and inspection of the minute parts because the construction of the micro factory has been started just before. In this study, we will build the digital manufacturing simulation on the micro factory's process and verify the production and assembly process using this simulation.

        자발성 뇌지주막하출혈 환자에서 Cardiac Troponin Ⅰ를 이용한 심근손상의 발생율

        Background : More than 90% of acute stroke patients have measurable cardiovascular sequelae, but we have been often overlooked in formal discussions of treatment. If we estimate the incidence of myocardial injury in patients with spontaneous SAH, we may figure the possibility of cardiac dysfunction in such patients. This study was designed to investigate the incidence of myocardial injury in patients with spontaneous SAH using cardiac troponin I(cTnI). Methods : A prospective single emergency center study was performed to determined preoperative incidence of unrecognized cardiac injury in patients suffering spontaneous SAH. We include the spontaneous SAH patients who underwent serum measurements of the cardic troponin I immediately upon admission last six month period. ECG, CK, CK-MB and myoglobin were also performed at admission. We excluded the spontaneous SAH patients who had past history of myocardial ischemia and ECG abnormality. Results : Fifty-two patients(34 females, 18 males) with spontaneous SAH were studied prospectively. 18 patients(34.6% of the total study population) had cTnI level above 0.5ng/ml. ECG was performed in 52 patients and was abnormal in 15 of the 52 patients(28.8%). Conclusion : The measurement of cTnI has provided physicians with a myocardial marker that has a cardiac sensitivity for cardiac injury equal to that of CK-MB yet with greater specificity. So, cardiac troponin I is useful to estimate the incidence of myocardial injury in patients with spontaneous SAH. And we may estimate the possibility of cardiac dysfunction in such patients. This knowledge will hopefully aid in the care and improve the outcome.

        To investigate processes of solute transport, the Navier-Stokes equation was used to represent flow structure and then advection-diffusion equation was used to simulate distribution of solute concentration. The QUICK and the central difference schemes were used to treat advective and diffusion terms. The QUICK (Quadratic Upstream Interpolation for Convective Kinematic) difference scheme, based upon assuming quadratic upstream interpolation rather than linear interpolation between the grid points, has a stable convective(advective) sensitivity. The distribution of COD concentration was simulated based on discharge and COD level of riverine inflower, with coastline given before and after reclamation respectively.

        유한요소법을 이용한 용접부의 열전달 및 잔류응력 해석에 관한 연구

        This paper represents to develop a computer software system which is capable to analyze the phase transformation of high strength steel(BV-AH32) and to predict heat transfer and welding residual stress due to phase transformation during Gas Metal Arc(GMA) welding. The developed model was considered temperature dependent properties such as young's modules, coefficient of thermal expansion and yield stress as well as the double ellipsoidal heat distribution by the moving arc. From the results, it was found that the longitudinal and transverse residual stresses calculated by the coupled analysis of heat transfer, residual stress and phase transformation showed good agreement with the experimental data. In addition, the temperature distribution as well as longitudinal and transverse residual stresses of weldment by the 1-pass and 2-pass of welding were also determined.

      • 운전조건에 따른 멀티-히트 펌프의 신뢰도에 관한 연구

        본 연구의 목적은 두 실내공간을 가변적으로 냉난방하기 위해 모세관을 이용한 2실 히트펌프를 개발하는 것이다. 멀티형 히트펌프의 다양한 부하변동을 극복할 수 있는 새로운 냉매 회로를 구성하기 위해 전자팽창 밸브와 여러 개의 모세관을 조합한 냉매 제어회로를 설계하였다. 모세관을 이용한 냉매 제어회로를 구성하여 한 대의 압축기로 각기 다른 용량대의 두 공간을 제어할 수 있는 2실 멀티형 히트펌프의 성능 및 신뢰도를 평가하고자 고성능 멀티 칼로리미터를 사용하였다. 정격시험을 통해 얻어진 멀티형 히트펌프의 냉난방능력은 설계기준의 약 93% 정도를 그리고 냉방시험에서는 단독시험이 설계기준의 약 13%정도, 난방시험에서는 동시시험 시 설계기준의 약 5%정도가 향상되었다. In order to develop the multi-heat pump system for two zones with different capacity, the optimum refrigerant control circuit using capillary tubes was designed. The system characteristics of multi-heat pump was investigated from the rating test and the reliability test, by using the multi-calorimeter with a high performance. The results of the rating test showed that the capacity of the multi-heat pump system satisfied about 93% of the design value. In particular, the capacity of cooling single mode increased about 13% and the capacity of heating multi mode increased about 5%, compared to the design value. And the rating refrigerant, the compressor capacity and the accumulator capacity for the multi-heat pump were obtained.

        Cytochrome ?? was separated from the mitochondrion of bovine heart. The spectrum of the cytochrome was that of oxidized one and reduced one was produced on reducing it with sodium hydrosulfite. The reduced cytochrome b? showed its absorption bands of alpha, beta and gamma. A surfactant Triton X-100 facilitated the isolation of the cytochrome from the mitochodrion.

        강산 및 강알칼리 음독에서 냉각 용액을 사용한 희석 요법과 중화 요법의 가능성

        Background: There is no effective treatment modality for caustic agent ingestion. Dilution and neutralization are prohibited because of the risk of secondary thermal injury. This experiment is designed to evaluate the amount of dilution and neutralization heat and to gauge the applicability of dilution and neutralization therapy using cold solutions to suppress the peak temperature. Methods: This is an in-vitro chemical experiment. HCl, CH3COOH, NaOH, and NH4OH are selected as representatives of strong and weak acids and strong and weak alkali, respectively. 20℃, 11.6M, 5.8M, and 2.9M solutions of each acid and alkali are made and mixed using a magnetic stirrer at a room air temperature of 28℃. The peak temperature, the duration above 40℃, and the heat amount are measured or calculated. Results: When a 11.6M HCl or NaOH solution is diluted with same amount of water, 32 or 18cal. per mL of HCl or NaOH is produced, respectively. HCl produces a significant peak temperature, but NaOH does not. The lower the concentration, the lower the amount of heat production. 11.6M CH3COOH and NH4OH solutions don't produce dilution heat.11.6M and 5.8M solutions of all acids and alkali produce destructive neutralization heat. However, 2.9M solutions produce neutralization heat which might be controllable. When a 11.6M HCl or NaOH solution is neutralized with a -10℃ 2.9 M NaOH or HCl solution, respectively, the peak temperature produced is below 40℃ and seems to add little thermal damage to viable tissue. Conclusion: Dilution and neutralization with a cold solution in cases of strong acid or alkali ingestion is a promising method to avoid thermal injury.
