        모노레일은 그동안 과좌식과 현수식으로 분류 되어 왔으나 세계 최초로 도입한 중앙 안내 방식의 인천 월미은하레일은 신개념의 Y Beam을 가이드 레일로 사용한 새로운 형식의 모노레일이라 할 수 있다. Y Beam 은 안내륜을 통해 모노레일의 수평 하중을 전달하는 역할을 담당하고 있기 때문에 수직 하중을 타이어를 통해 전달 받는 콘크리트 바닥 및 강재 Beam과 함께 모노레일의 주행 안전에 없어서는 안 될 가장 중요한 구조물이다. 본 연구에서는 수평 하중을 감당하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 모노레일의 안정과 안내를 함께 보장 하면서 급전선을 지지하는 역할도 동시에 담당하고 있는 Y Beam과 Y Beam을 고정하는 클램프의 특성과 안전성에 대해 고찰하였다. Monorail has been classified as straddled type and suspended type. However, Inchon Wolmi Eunha rail, a center guide type first ever introduced in the world, uses a new concept Y-Beam as guide rail. Since Y-Beam takes horizontal loads of monorail through guide wheels, it is an essential structure for the safe operation along with concrete surface and steel beam which take vertical loads through main tires. This study presents the characteristic and reliability of Y-Beam and Y-Beam fixture, clamp, which are not only taking horizontal loads but also guarantying both guiding and stability of monorail and holding power supply line.

        A phase II study of everolimus (RAD001), an mTOR inhibitor plus CHOP for newly diagnosed peripheral T-cell lymphomas

        <P>Everolimus plus CHOP is effective for newly diagnosed, chemotherapy-naive peripheral T-cell lymphoma patients with acceptable toxicity.Everolimus, an oral mTOR inhibitor, has single-agent activity against relapsed lymphomas. Thus, we carried out a phase II study of everolimus in combination with CHOP (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone) as a first-line treatment for patients with peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) based on our phase I study results. Participants (n = 30) received CHOP with 5 mg everolimus per day from day 1 to 14 every 21 days for a total of six cycles. The primary end point was the overall response rate (ORR), which included complete response (CR) and partial response (PR) to this regimen. Immunohistochemistry was used to evaluate the expression of phosphatase and tensin homology (PTEN) and phosphorylated S6 kinase (pS6K) as a response. The objective response rate was 90% with CR (n = 17) and PR (n = 10). The CR rate was different among subtypes; angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL, n = 3) had a CR whereas PTCL-not-otherwise specified and ALK-negative anaplastic large-cell lymphoma (ALCL) patients showed 63% (12/19) and 29% (2/7) of CR rate, respectively. This difference in CR rate among subtypes was associated with PTEN loss because PTEN loss was not seen in AITL but 33% of ALCL patients. The most common toxicity was hematological, with 80% of patients experiencing at least one event of grade 3/4 neutropenia, and 60% of patients had grade 3/4 thrombocytopenia. The everolimus plus CHOP was effective for PTCL patients, and its efficacy might be related with the preservation of PTEN.</P>

        열처리에 따른 Y₂O₃박막의 미세 구조 변화와 전기적 특성 변화에 대한 고찰

        p-type Si (100) 기판 위에 습식 산화법으로 SiO₂ 층을 형성한 후, Ionized Cluster Beam(ICB) 증착 방법으로 200 Å 두께의 Y₂O₃ 박막을 증착 하였다. Y₂O₃ 박막이 증착 된 시편을 산소, 아르곤 분위기에서 열처리한 후, Atomic Force Microscopy(AFM)과 Transmission Electron Microscopy(TEM)을 사용하여 Y₂O₃ 박막의 표면과 계면을 관찰하였다. 열처리를 수행한 후 Y₂O₃ 박막과 Si 기판 사이에서 SiO₂층이 성장하고, 이트륨실리 케이트 층이 형성되는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다. 산소 분위기에서 열처리를 수행한 시편의 Y₂O₃ 박막 표면을 관찰한 결과, 표면 상부에 아르곤 분위기에서 열처리한 시편에서는 보이지 않았던 새로운 상이 형성되었음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 전기적 특성을 측정하기 위하여 Al/Y₂O₃/p-type Si (100) 의 캐패시턴스-전압 특성을 관찰하였고, 그 결과 Y₂O₃ 박막의 유전 상수 값이 약 9정도임을 알 수 있었다. We investigated the interfacial reactions between the Y₂O₃ film deposited by ICB processing and p-type (100) Si substrates upon annealing treatments in O₂ and Ar gas ambients. We also investigated the evolution of surface morphology of ICB deposited Y₂O₃ films upon annealing treatments. We observed that the root-mean-square (RMS) value of surface roughness measured by AFM increased with annealing time at 800℃ in O₂ ambient, while the change of surface roughness was not observed in Ar ambient. We also found the growth of SiO₂ layer and the formation of yttrium silicate layer. From the capacitance values (C_(acc)) measured by C-V measurements, the relative dielectric constant of Y₂O₃ film in metal-insulator-semiconductor (MIS) structure was estimated to be about 9.

        국내 Holstein 종의 유생산에 미치는 환경효과 보정계수 추정

        This study was carried out to estimate the coefficients for the adjustment of environmental effects on milk yield. The 2,438 lactation records of Holstein Cows which had raised at National Animal Breeding Institute from (1969 to 1985 were used in this analysis. The parities, the season within parity and the month of age within parity at parturition of cows were included to the environmental factors for the adjustment. 1. The parity, season and year showed highly significant(p (0.01) effects on milk yield. 2. The total milk yield of the season Ⅰ (Nov.-Apr.) appeared about 300㎏ higher than those of the season Ⅱ (May.-Oct.) within each parity. The coefficients for the season`s were estimated on the basis of the season Ⅰ . The factors for season 11 were 1.09, 1.07 and 1.04, in 1st, 2nd and 3rd to 4th parity, respectively. 3. The adjustment factors on different parities were 1.00, 0.932 and 0.817 on the basis of the first parity and 1.147, 1.069 and 1.00 on the basis of the third and fourth parity. 4. The linear regression of milk yield for ages at calving were estimated Y₁= 2,272.6 + 72.7 X₁,Y₂= 3,701.0 + 23.5 X₂, Y₃= 3,827.3 + 19.3 X₃, in 1st, 2nd and 3rd and 4th parity respectively. The adjustment factors were made on the basis of 26 month for the first parity and it ranges from 1,024 at 24 month to 0.85 at 36 month. The factors for 2nd parity which ranged from 1.03 at 34 month to 0.93 at 54 month were based on 40 month and those of third and fourth parity which ranged from 1.05 at 46 month to 0.93 at 77 month were based on 59month. 5. The milk yield adjusted by proposed factors were estimated 5,011㎏ for the first parity, 5,087㎏ for the second and 5,018㎏ for the third and fourth. On the other hand when same data were adjusted by DHIA factors the milk yield were estimated 5,384㎏, 5,167㎏ and 5,072㎏ respectively. This showed that the proposed factors adjusted raw data more uniformly among parities than those of DHIA factors.

        Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the correlations big five personality traits, abnormal eating behavior, depression and, life satisfaction among female university students. Methods: The subjects for this study were female university students in Seoul, Korea. The data were collected from 151 female university students from August 13, 2019 to August 22, 2019. They were asked to fill out Big Five Inventory- Korean version(BFI-K), The Korean Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale(KCES-D), The Korean Version of Eating Attitudes Test-26(KEAT-26), and, Satisfaction With Life Scale(SWLS). The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, T-test, ANOVA, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Result: First, College students’ nervousness among the five personality traits was significantly associated with depression and life satisfaction. Second, College students’ agreeableness among the five personality traits was significantly associated with abnormal eating behavior and life satisfaction. Third, College students’ abnormal eating behaviors were significantly associated with depression. Conclusion: These results suggest that female university students with higher level of nervousness are vulnerable to depression. And, it suggests that female university students with higher level of agreeableness are vulnerable to abnormal eating behavior. The intervention to consider five personality traits may improve mental health among female university students.

        Key Features in the Operation of KSTAR

        <P>The Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR) device is aimed at advanced tokamak (AT) research. Three years have passed since it achieved its first plasma in 2008. Because it is a superconducting machine and is working toward AT research, it has unique features in terms of the machine engineering and operation. The toroidal field (TF) magnet coils are made of Nb<SUB>3</SUB>Sn, which provide high TFs up to 3.5 T, and have been fully tested. The poloidal field (PF) magnet coils, consisting of both Nb<SUB>3</SUB>Sn and NbTi, which have a maximum current of 25 kA in their design, were tested up to 15 kA. A thermal hydraulic analysis is being conducted for PF magnet coil operation. All plasma-facing components (PFCs) are equipped with water cooled graphite tiles and have the capability of being baked up to 350°C. A startup scenario, which considered both the effect of the ferromagnetic material in the cable in conduit conductor jacket of the magnet coils as well as a nonferromagnetic up-down asymmetry in the cryostat structure, was developed and demonstrated its effectiveness by the last two year's reliable operations. Passive stabilizers and in-vessel control coils (IVCCs) are key components to realize AT operation in KSTAR. The segmented IVCC coils were connected to form circular coils for internal vertical control in 2010, and diverted plasmas with high elongation (κ~1.8, δ>;0.6) were achieved. A neutral beam injection (NBI) system was developed aiming at 2 MW, 300 s per ion source which meets the long-pulse requirement of KSTAR. An NBI ion source with a power of 1.7 MW at 100 kV has been commissioned for 10 s. Finally, ELMy H-modes were successfully produced with 1.3-MW NBI power at a plasma current of 0.6 MA in the 2010 campaign. The first H-mode discharge (#4200) in KSTAR was achieved one year earlier than officially planned and was done at B<SUB>T</SUB> = 2 T with I<SUB>p</SUB> = 0.6 MA in a well-balanced double null configuration after boronization on the PFC. Successful operations in the early days of KSTAR including H-mode experiments revealed the capability of advanced and steady-state operation which is essential for the international thermonuclear experimental reactor (ITER) and future fusion reactors.</P>

        The objective of this study was investigated the drying characteristics of sewage sludge by rotary hot air dryer. The rotary hot air dryer was manufactured a lab-scale and designed to use the waste heat source in incinerator. This study was shown that the drying characteristics of rotary hot air dryer mainly depended on the inlet hot air temperature and impeller speed.

      • Direct Evidence of Allele-Specific Binding of CTCF and MeCP2 to <b><i>Tsix</i></b> in a HPRT-Deficient Female F<sub>1</sub> Hybrid Mouse Cell Line

        <P>Abstract</P><P>Mammalian dosage compensation requires silencing of one of the two X chromosomes in females and is controlled by the X inactivation center (Xic). Xic contains many of the regulatory elements for the mutual interplay of X-inactive specific transcript <I>(Xist)</I> and <I>Tsix</I>, the antisense counterpart of <I>Xist</I>. The regulatory elements control X chromosome inactivation (XCI) via the formation of DNA-DNA and DNA-protein complexes with <I>cis</I>- and <I>trans</I>-acting factors. However, the process-dependent regulation of <I>Xist/Tsix</I> by these elements in each XCI process remains largely unknown. In this study, a 6-thioguanine-resistant female F<SUB>1</SUB> hybrid mouse cell line (designated HOBMSKI2) was constructed from a cross between a female HPRT-deficient transgenic mouse (designated BM3) and a male wild type <I>Mus spretus</I> mouse (designated MS), which enabled the direct discrimination of both allele-specific expression of X-linked genes and allele-specific binding of proteins associated with XCI due to DNA polymorphisms between BM3 and MS. Using this cell line, we found that <I>Tsix</I> on the active X chromosome (Xa) was not expressed in somatic cells despite the fact that CTCF, which ensures <I>Tsix</I> expression in embryonic stem cells, was still bound to the 5′ end of <I>Tsix</I> on Xa, implying that CTCF may function differently during each XCI process and its <I>trans</I>-activating activity for <I>Tsix</I> expression may be lost in the maintenance process. In addition, the monoallelic expression of <I>Tsix</I> on Xa was inhibited by epigenetic modification of the chromatin in the maintenance process, which was mediated by protein complexes recruited by MeCP2. The results indicate the value of HOBMSKI2 in directly detecting the allele-specific binding of CTCF and MeCP2 to the 5′ end of <I>Tsix</I>. The HOBMSKI2 mouse line is a versatile and useful resource for studying the molecular mechanism of the XCI process.</P><P>Copyright © 2012 S. Karger AG, Basel</P>

        The influence of the growth rate on the eutectic spacings, undercoolings and microhardness of directional solidified bismuthe-lead eutectic alloy

        BiePb alloy at the eutectic composition was unidirectionally solidified upwards with five different growth rates (V ¼ 7.05e113.09 mm/s) at constant temperature gradient (G ¼ 2.18 K/mm) in a Bridgman type directional growth furnace in order to investigate dependency of eutectic spacing (l), minimum undercooling (DT) and microhardness (HV) on the growth rates (V). The values of l and HV were measured from the quenched samples and the minimum undercooling (DT) were determined from the JacksoneHunt eutectic theory. The dependency of eutectic spacings, microhardness and undercooling on growth rate was investigated. According to these results it has been found that the value of l decreases with increasing the value of V and that the values of HV and DT increase for a constant G. The values of l2 V, lDT and DTV0.5 were determined by using the values of l, DT and V. The results obtained in the present work have been compared with those predicted by the JacksoneHunt eutectic theory and with similar experimental results.
