      • 황산염저부하조건에서 순양한 혐기성오니에 있어서 황산염환원균의 역할

        황산염 저부하조건에서 순양한 혐기성오니에 있어서 황산염환원균의 역활을 명확히 하기 위해 메탄생성과 황화물생성에 대한 황산염, 황화물 및 휘발성지방산의 영향을 검토했다. 메탄생성은 황화물과 황산염의 첨가에 의해서 증가되는 경향을 보였다. 동시에 황산염의 환원에 의해 황화물이 생성되었으며, 그 생성속도는 0.30 μ mol·g VSS^-1·hr^-1이고 첨가한 휘발성 지방산의 종류와 관계가 있었다. 그리고 메탄생성속도는 Acetate를 제외한 휘발성지방산이 산화됨과 동시에 황화물생성속도와 함께 증가하였다. 따라서 황산염환원균은 황산염저부하 혐기성오니하에서 Acetate를 제외한 휘발성지방산을 발효적 대사에 이용하여 서식하는 것으로 판단된다. 그리고, 발효적 대사에 의해 생육하는 황산염환원균은 황산염저부하조건에서 Hydrogen-producing acetogens의 역할을 하는 것으로 추측되었다. The effect of sulfate, sulfide and volatile fatty acids on methane production and sulfide production in anaerobic sludge acclimated with sulfate-poor medium was investigated to clarify the role of sulfidogens. Methane production was shown to be stimulated by the addition of sulfide or sulfate. At the same time, sulfide production was measured in serum bottle test in which the sulfate reduction was measured during incubation. The production rate was 0.30 μ mol·g VSS^-l·hr^-1, and was related to the kinds of added volatile fatty acids. And methane production rate was increased with increasing with sulfide production rate in which oxidation of volatile fatty acids exception of acetate was measured during incubation. These results shows that many sulfidogens should inhabit by their fermentation from volatile fatty acids exception of acetate In sulfate-poor anaerobic sludge. And, fermentative-sulfidogens appear to assume the a role of hydrogen-producing acetogens in sulfate-poor condition.

      • 사람과 쥐에서 식이내 n6 와 n3 불포화지방산이 혈장 지질조성에 미치는 영향

        To compare the plasma lipid-lowering effect of dietary n6 and n3 polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFA) in human and rats, ten college women were divided into 5 groups and treated for 5 weeks with 1 week interval between treatments and subjects serving as their own controls. Male Sprague Dawley rats were divided into 3 groups and fed the experimental diets for 6 weeks. The experimental diets were corn oil diet for n6 linoleic acid, perilla oil diet for n3 α-linolenic acid and fish oil diet for n3 eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid(DHA). Dietary fat was supplied at 30% Cal and modified to give the total amount of satu-rated fatty acid(SFA) and monoenoic acid(MEA)at constant level. In human, there was no significant effect on plasma cholesterol (Chol)level by different PUFA. However, on a gram­for­gram basis, there was a trend that the decrease in plasma Chol was proportionate to the degree of fat unsaturation. HDL―Chol content was significantly increased only in fish oil diet but no change in the relative proportion of its chemical components of HDL. In rat, plasma Chol and HDL―Chol levels were significantly lowered by fish oil than corn oil and perilla oil. Plasma Chol―lowering effect in human and rats was greater by n3 EPA and DHA than n6 linoleic acid. Plasma triglyceride(TG)level in human was significantly lowered only in fish oil diet but no significant effect on the relative proportion of TG in VLDL. Plasma TG in rats was significantly decreased by both perilla oil and fish oil than by corn oil. Therefore, plasma TG―lowering effect was in the order of n3 EPA+DHA>n3 α­linolenic acid >n6 linoleic acid. In conclusion, perilla oil and fish oil which contain n3 series PUFA may have important nutritional benefit in the prevention and treatment of atherosclerotic disease.

        뇌졸중환자의 사회적 재적응과 관련요인

        Social readjustment is very important in rehabilitation of stroke survivors. The purpose of this study was to examine the level of social readjustment and related factors in stroke survivors. Especially, to find the most useful predictor for social readjustment is a major point of this research. The study included 254 outpatients who were given follow-up care after discharge from. Occupational rehabilitation and resumption of the perceived meaningful social activity prios to the stroke were used to measure social readjustment. The resumptions of first meaningful social activity was the best predictor for life satisfaction in stroke survivors(r=.245, p<.01). The substance of perceived meaningful social activities were job, meeting with friends, hobby and activities for the family. The sum of meaningful social activities (r = 175. p<.01) and occupational rehabilitation (r= 116, p<.05) were significantly related to life satisfaction. There were significant difference in IADL, depression and life satisfaction according to resumption of meaningful social activity. But, occupational rehabilitation was not related to depression. The level of social readjustment was different between occupational rehabilitation and resumption of meaningful social activity. It was 45.7% in the first meaningful social activity and 36.6% in occupational rehabilitation. The related factors with resumption of the first meaningful social activity were that of IADL, depression, illness intrusiveness and cognitive function. And the level of IADL, illness intrusiveness, cognitive function, and age were significantly related to occupational rehabilitation. In conclusion, we suggest that the resumption of the first meaningful activity in stroke survivors is the best predictor of social rehabilitation. Thus. nurses need to work for resumption of meaningful activity as well as occupational rehabilitation.

      • 자동판매기 기호식품에서의 미생물 분포

        1991년 9월부터 11월에 걸쳐 상명여자대학교 서울 캠퍼스의 학생회관 2층, 도서관 2층 및 남관에 설치되어 있는 커피 자동판매기를 대상으로 블랙 커피, 프림 커피, 밀크 커피에서 검출되는 세균의 종류 및 생균수를 조사하였다. 일반 세균으로는 Neisseria lactamica, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, Flavimonas oryzihabitans, Lactobacillus sp. 및 Pediococcus sp.가 검출되었으며, 대장균군과 살모넬라균에 속하는 세균은 발견되지 않았다. 일반 세균의 생균수는 블랙 커피에서 7.0×10 exp(5)-6.2×10 exp(6)cells/㎖, 프림 커피에서 8.0×10 exp(5)-6.4×10 exp(6)cells/㎖, 밀크 커피에서 1.1×10 exp(6)-7.0×10 exp(6)cells/㎖ 수준으로 나타났다. 이상에서 교내의 특정공간에 설치되어 있는 커피 자동판매기의 커피 제품에는 상당수에 달하는 여러 종류의 일반 세균이 검출되어 철저한 위생적 관리가 필요하다고 판단된다. Bacteriological infection level was investigated for black coffee, frime coffee and milk coffee for automatic vending machines installed on 2nd floor of the Students' Hall, of the Library and of Namkwan in Seoul campus of Sangmyung Women's University from September till November of 1991. Viable cells such as Neisseria lactamica, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, Flavimonas oryzihabitans, Lactobacillus sp. and Pediococcus sp. were detected, while bacteria belonging to Coliform or Salmonella group were not isolated. Number of viable cells counted to be 7.0 × 10 exp(5)-6.2 × l0 exp(6) cells/㎖ in black coffee, 8.0 × 10exp(5)-6.4 × 10 exp(6)cells/㎖ in frime coffee and 1.1 × 10 exp(6)-7.0 × l0 exp(6)cells/㎖ in milk coffee. From these results, it can be concluded that coffee of automatic vending machines is significantly infected by various viable bacteria and that a thorough hygienic control is needed.

      • Magnetron sputtering법으로 제조된 Al-1%Cu/Tungsten Nitride 다층 박막

        표면 탄성파 디바이스의 전극재료로 사용되는 Al-1%Cu(4000Å)/tungsten nitride 박막을 magnetron sputtering법으로 제조하고 전기저항을 평가한 결과 비정질상의 tungsten nitride 박막을 제조할 수 있었고, 비정질 형성을 위해서 질소비 (R = N2/(Ar+N2))가 10∼40% 정도 필요하였다. Tungsten nitride 박막의 잔류응력은 비정질이 형성되면서 급격히 감소되었다. 이러한 비정질 박막위에 Al-1%Cu합금막이 형성되었다. 다층막은 453K에서 4시간 동안 열처리함으로써 3.6μΩ-cm의 저항를 나타냈는데, 이는 박막내 결정립 성장과 결정 결함의 감소에 기인하였다. As a power durable-electrode in SAW filter. Al-1%Cu/tungsten nitride multi-layer thin film was fabricated by magnetron sputtering process. Tungsten nitride films had the amorphours phase at the nitrogen ratio, R, ranging from 10~40%. The amorphization could be controlled by nitrogen ratio. R = N2/(N2+Ar) as a sputtering process parameter. Residual stress in tungsten nitride abruptly decreased with the formation of amorphous phase. Al-1%Cu thin film was deposited on the amorphous tungsten nitride. After the multi-layed thin film was annealed for 4 hours at 453K, the resistivity decreased as 3.6 μΩ-cm, which was due to grain growth and reduced crystal defects.

        회장에 장폐색을 유발한 Anisakiasis 1예

        Anisakiasis refers to the infestation of humans by species of marine nematode larvae belonging to the subfamily Anisakiae. An acute abdominal symptom may occur after ingestion of raw marine fish containing nematode larvae of the genus Anisakis. Migration of the parasite into the wall of gtomach, small intestine or, less commomly, the colon elicits a striking eosinophilic granulomatous tissue response. A 39 year old man was visited St. Vincent Hospital because of abdominal distension and tenderness. The plain abdominal X-ray showed ileus pattern suggesting intestinal obstruction. Hence we presented a case of intestinal Anisakiasis combined with intstinal obstruction.

        Breeding of New Ever-bearing Strawberry “Doha” Variety

        “Doha” is a new strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa Duch.) variety, which was released by the Highland Agriculture Research Institute in 2021. The “Doha” variety originates from a 2014 cross between “Saebong No. 3” and “Yeolha,” both of which exhibited excellent ever-bearing characteristics, including continuous flowering and large fruits under long-day and high temperature conditions. This new cultivar was initially named “Saebong No. 13” after examining its characteristics and productivity during summer cultivation between 2015 and 2018. After regional adaptability tests, “Doha” was selected from “Saebong No. 13” as an elite cultivar. The general characteristics of “Doha” include spreading, elliptic leaves, and strong growth. The fruits are long and conical and of a red color. The plant height of “Doha” was similar to that of “Goha,” but the number of leaves was lower. The number of flower clusters of “Doha” was 8.6, which was 2.8 fewer than that of the control variety, “Goha,” with 11.4. The average fruit weight of “Doha” was 13.9 g, which was 4.9 g heavier than that of “Goha.” The fruit hardness of “Doha” was 35.5 g·㎜−2, which was 9.4 g·㎜−2 harder than that of “Goha.” The marketable yield of “Doha” was 26,971 ㎏·㏊−1, 125% more than that of “Goha” with 21,479 ㎏·㏊−1. The findings of this study suggest that “Doha” is a hard fruit and high-yielding variety of ever-bearing strawberries that could increase farming income when distributing to farmers.

        <p>A novel and stereo-controlled method for the preparation of functionalized macrolactams was developed. The process involves stereoselective enol ether formation, followed by an azacyclic ring expansion <I>via</I> an aza-Claisen rearrangement. Herewith, we describe a systematic investigation of an aza-Claisen rearrangement-induced ring expansion of azacycles prepared by appending <I>E</I>/<I>Z</I>-enol ethers to the medium-sized lactams as well as the stereochemical outcome. In addition, the strategy was successfully applied to the total synthesis of fluvirucinine A<SUB>1</SUB> and 3-<I>epi</I>-fluvirucinine A<SUB>1</SUB>.
