        교사들의 공통과학 실험 · 실습 선호도 조사 분석

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the status of the experimental and practical education in high school general science. The present status and reasonable management of the experimental and practical education in high school general science were evaluated by the questionaires. To do this, 146 science teachers in Korea are administered questionaires. The frequency of the experimental and practical items in the seven kind of general science text books were investigated. The problems and the reasonable management for experimental and practical education were proposed in this paper.

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the status of the experimental and practical education in high school earth. The present status and reasonable management of the experimental and practical education in high school earth science have been grasped from the questionaires. To do this, eighty eight earth science teachers in Korea are administered questionaires. The frequency of the experimental and practical items in the seven kind of earth science text books were investigated. The problems and the reasonable management for experimental and practical education were proposed in this paper.

      • 파종시기가 다른 일미찰의 등숙 중 호화 특성 비교

        This study was conducted to investigate the pasting properties of waxy corn ‘Ilmichal’ during ripening with different sowing date. Starch content of Ilmichal was increased as matured (p<0.05). Analysis of pasting properties with waxy corn starch using a rapid visco analyser (RVA) showed linear changes in peak viscosity, trough viscosity, final viscosity, breakdown and consistency according to ripening. There were significantly positive correlation between starch content of Ilmichal and peak viscosity (0.39*), trough viscosity (0.58***), final viscosity (0.58***), and consistency (0.57**). Differential scanning calorimerty (DSC). The enthalpy of gelatinization was increased as ripening. But onset and peak temperature were decreased. There were significantly positive correlation between starch content of Ilmichal and onset temperature (0.44*), peak temperature (0.38*), and completion temperature (0.59***), on the other hand, crude protein content presented significantly negative correlation between completion temperature (-0.41*).

        현행 중학교 과학 실험·실습교육에 대한 교사들의 견해와 개선방안

        The status of facilities, management of the experiment, practices, and Science education teaching method in middle school have been investigated. The present status and reasonable management of middle school science education have been grasped from the questionaires. The results are as follows : The reasonable management for expeiments and practices of science education were scanty in the middle school around the urban and rural schools owing to the shortage of facilities and equipments, crowded class, excessive classes, work for teachers, excessive contents of present textbook and insufficience of administrative support etc. The current teaching method of middle school science has emphasized knowledge. This fact does not satisfy the objective of learning due to lack of teaching method. Desirable directions for the improvement of present status of middle school science education were proposed in this paper.

        Comparative phenolic compound profiles and antioxidative activity of the fruit, leaves, and roots of Korean ginseng (Panax ginseng Meyer) according to cultivation years

        Background: The study of phenolic compounds profiles and antioxidative activity in ginseng fruit, leaves, and roots with respect to cultivation years, and has been little reported to date. Hence, this study examined the phenolic compounds profiles and 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free-radical-scavenging activities in the fruit, leaves, and roots of Korean ginseng (Panax ginseng Meyer) as a function of cultivation year. Methods: Profiling of 23 phenolic compounds in ginseng fruit, leaves, and roots was investigated using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography with the external calibration method. Antioxidative activity of ginseng fruit, leaves, and roots were evaluated using the method of DPPH free-radical-scavenging activity. Results: The total phenol content in ginseng fruit and leaves was higher than in ginseng roots (p < 0.05), and the phenol content in the ginseng samples was significantly correlated to the DPPH free-radical-scavenging activity ($r=0.928^{****}$). In particular, p-coumaric acid ($r=0.847^{****}$) and ferulic acid ($r=0.742^{****}$) greatly affected the DPPH activity. Among the 23 phenolic compounds studied, phenolic acids were more abundant in ginseng fruit, leaves, and roots than the flavonoids and other compounds (p < 0.05). In particular, chlorogenic acid, gentisic acid, p- and m-coumaric acid, and rutin were the major phenolic compounds in 3e6-yr-old ginseng fruit, leaves, and roots. Conclusion: This study provides basic information about the antioxidative activity and phenolic compounds profiles in fruit, leaves, and roots of Korean ginseng with cultivation years. This information is potentially useful to ginseng growers and industries involved in the production of high-quality and nutritional ginseng products.

      • Comparison of isoflavones in soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merill) germplasms by different origins

        Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill] is one of the world’s most major crops as not only an important source of oil and protein, but also secondary metabolites. Intake of soybean is associated with decreased risk of cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis, as well as cancer, including breast and colon cancers. Seventy soybeans germplasms collected from 4 different countries, America (6 varieties), China (15 varieties), Japan (16 varieties), and Korea (33 varieties), were distributed by Chungbuk National University (Cheongju, Chungbuk, Korea) and cultivated in Konkuk University farm. This study investigated the isoflavones in seventy soybeans according to 4 different origins (America, China, Japan and Korea). Between 4 different origins, Korea showed highest concentrations of total isoflavones (1292.6 ± 438.6 ㎍ g-1) and China showed the lowest concentrations of total isoflavones (843.8 ± 365.7 ㎍ g-1). The total isoflavone contents in soybean of America and China ranged from 572.3 ㎍ g-1 to 2001.9 ㎍ g-1 and from 275.8 ㎍ g-1 to 1521.8 ㎍ g-1, respectively. And the isoflavone contents of Japan and Korea ranged from 473.3 ㎍ g-1 to 2314.6 ㎍ g-1 and from 419.0 ㎍ g-1 to 3010.7 ㎍ g-1, respectively. Malonylgenistin (356.9 ± 158.8 ㎍ g-1) was the major isoflavones among 12 isoflavones. Specially, glycoside and malonylglycosides constituted 49.2 % and 45.3 % of total isoflavones in soybeans, respectively.

        운동과 태음조위탕 처방이 흰쥐의 간기능 효소와 간내 지방축적에 미치는 영향

        윤진란, 류성환, 정경훈, 최덕구, 정일규, 이희혁, 김종오, 정진욱. 운동과 태음조위탕 처방이 흰쥐의 간기능 효소와 간내지방축적에 미치는 영향. 운동과학, 제11권 제2호, 345-358, 2002. 본 연구는 태음조위탕과 운동처방이 비만치료에 생리학적, 조직학적으로 미치는 영향에 중점을 두고 흰쥐 체중, 효소활성도를 비롯해 인체내 대사가 가장 활발한 기관인 간의 조직을 살펴봄으로서 비만치료법으로서의 효과에 대해 알아보기 위하여 실시하였다. 본 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 운동+태음조위탕군이 다른 그룹(운동군, 태음조위탕 처방 군, 대조군) 보다 체중의 증가가 가장 낮게 나타났으며, 태음조위탕군과 운동군의 비교에 있어서는 운동군에 있어서 체중의 증가가 더 낮게 나타났다. 간 무게는 운동+태음조위탕군이 다른 그룹(운동군, 태음조위탕 처방 군, 대조군)에 비해 가장 낮았으며 운동과 태음조위탕군의 비교에 있어서도 운동군의 간무게가 더 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 총 콜레스테롤, LDL-C, 중성지방, Al의 수준은 운동+태음조위탕군이 다른 그룹(운동군, 태음조위탕 처방 군, 대조군)에 비해 더 낮게 나타났으며{각각 [F(3.36)=3.190 P=.035], [F(3.36)=123.544 P=.000], [F(3.36)=565.624 P=.000], [F(3.36)=193.935 P=.000]}, HDL-C는 운동군, 태음조위탕 처방 군, 대조군에 비해 운동+태음조위탕군이 더 높게 나타났다[F(3.36)=327.767 P=.000]. 혈중 GOT와 GPT수준은 운동군, 태음조위탕 처방 군, 대조군에 비해 운동+태음조위탕군이 낮게 나타났다. Hematoxylin-eosin은 간세포질 모두를 염색하는 방법으로 본 연구에서는 세포질 구성물질 정도가 대조군>태음조위탕 처방군>운동군>운동+태음조위탕 처방군 순으로 나타났다. Sudan Black B는 간세포내 지방성분을 알아보기 위하여 행해지는 염색법으로 본 연구에서는 다음과 같이 지방성분 함량이 대조군>태음조위탕 처방군>운동군>운동+태음조위탕 처방군 순으로 나타났다. PASS 염색을 실시한 결과 당함량이 대조군에서 가장 많고 태음조위탕 처방군>운동군>운동+태음조위탕 처방 군 순으로 나타났다. 이상과 갈이 태음조위탕과 운동의 처방은 간기능에 부정적 영향을 주지 않고 간내 지방 축적을 감소시켜 비만치료에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. Taeyeumjoweetang is associated with improving liver function as wall as improving lipid profile. These factors are known to reduce body fat mass in re Taeyeum person'. Exercise also can improve liver function in patients with fatty liver. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of both Taeyeumjoweetang and exercise on enzymes and fat accumulation in rat's liver cells. 40 Sprague-Dawley rats(14weeks old)were randomly assigned into four group; the control group(n=10), the herb tea group(n=10), the exercise group(n=10) and the herb+exercise group(10). The herb tea group were given the consumption of 50㎖ of the herb tea a day for 8weeks. The exercise protocol consisted of treadmill running for 8 weeks. The data fof TC, LDL, HDL and Al were measured in plasma Wood, and GOT and GPT were measured in liver tissue. An alpha level of .05 was used as the criteria for significance. The Obtained results are as follows: 1. There were significant differences in body weight among three groups. The herb+exercise group was lower significantly than other group. 2. There were significant differences in liver weight among three groups. The herb+exercise group was lower significantly than other group. 3. There were significant differences in TC, LDL and Al among three groups. The herb+exercise group was lower significantly than other group. But HDL levels in the herb+exercise group was highly significantly than other group. 4. There were significant differences in GOT, GPT among three groups. The herb+exercise group was lower significantly than other group, showing lowest liver cell damage. 5. In composition material quantity of liver' cell cytosol shown by Hematoxylin-eosin stain, The herb+exercise group was lower significantly than other group. 6. As results of lipid and glucose stain, The herb+exercise group was lower significantly than other group in fat accumulation and glucose levels. These findings demonstrate that both the herb tea and exercise have an effect to reduce fat and glucose accumulation but exercise effects is higher than these of the herb tea. Also these effects is highest brought about by the herb+exercise.
