It is ten years since the volume based waste free system carried out. This aimed to analysis and estimate about the achievement of the volume based waste free system of the Ministry of Environment and Damyang-Gun. According to the analysis of its result, it is still unsatisfied to use the plastic bags of the volume based waste free system and to separate and throw away the wastes. The Public Opinion says that the Government needs to further step up publicity activities on the volume based waste free system by making good use of TV, newspaper, and magazine, and should offer the incentives to people who observe the volume based waste free system, In addition, it says that people in Damyang-Gun incinerate illegally(60.5%). Therefore. the study and supply of waste disposal method is necessary to people in Damyang-Gun, manufacturers themselves should collect wastes, and Damyang-Gun should expend the systematical device of collecting wastes. If these things go on, the volume based waste free system will be fixed.
염화철코팅 활성탄을 이용한 지하수 중의 질산성질소 제거를 위한 연구

A laboratory experiment was performed to investigate the nitrate removal from groundwater using Iron chloride(III) coated activated carbon (ICCAC). The breakthrough profiles of two ionic species, such as nitrate and sulfate showed that nitrate was selectively exchanged with chloride in ICCAC. The $FeCl_3$-coated activated carbon produced about 26 BV (Bed volume) of throughout when treating groundwater containing about $25\;mg/\iota\;of\;NO_3-N$. The regeneration of ICCAC with 1M KC1 was effective at a flow rate of 4 BV/hr. The ion exchange technology seems to be suitable technology for the treatment of small volumes of groundwater polluted by nitrate.

Benzyl chloride 및 bromide와 chloride 및 bromide ion 간의 반응을 90% ethanol 용액에서반응속도론적으로 연구하였다. 반 정량적인 결과의 해석은 bond-formation 이 bond-breaking보다 더 중요하고 또 결합형성 과정에서는 형성으로 얻은 energy보다는 nucleophile의 electron affinity의 증가로 인한 차이가 더 중요함을 보여주고 있다. Kinetics of reactions of chloride and bromide ions with benzyl chloride and bromide have been investigated in 90% ethanol solution. Semi-quantitative analysis of the results shows that the bond-formation is more important than the bond-breaking and furthermore in bond-formation the energy gain due to bond-formation is less than the increase in electron affinity of the nucleophile.
