      • An Investigation on the Life of Master Won Guk Lee, the Creator of Chung-Do-Kwan

        The purpose of this study is to review (or, investigate) the life of Won Guk Lee. He is the creator of Chung-Do-Kwan, which is one of the five original Taekwondo kwans. Data was gathered from advanced research, newspapers, documentaries, the Internet, magazines, and journals etc. Thus, we were able to create a sequence of events based on the research data. First, we can say that in Won Guk Lee``s career, he created Chung-Do-Kwan and brought Dangsoodo to Korea. These events have had a significant development on Taekwondo. Second, Taekwondo curriculum, which was published by Won Guk Lee, established the foundation of Taekwondo poomsae, as well as giving us the pure spirit of Korean martial arts.

        Therapeutic Effect of Dioctahedral Smectite on Diarrhea Caused by E. coli and Salmonella in Calves

        The objectives of the current study were to evaluate the therapeutic effect of dioctahedral smectite (smectite) against calf diarrhea caused by pathogenic E. coli and/or Salmonella typhimurium. In this study, 20 calves (aged 2~3 months) with diarrhea were used for evaluation of the efficacy of smectite on calf diarrhea with 20% smectite suspension in PBS. Calves received 10 ml smectite suspension three times per day after feeding, and fecal samples were collected at the gate of treatment and on the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth day after administration. On the fifth day after treatment with smectite suspension, the diarrhea index showed a significant decrease in the treated group, compared to the control group (P<0.001). The number of pathogenic E. coli in feces of the treated group was significantly decreased, compared to each control group from the second day after treatment (P<0.001), and that of Salmonella typhimurium was significantly decreased from the first day after treatment (P<0.05). According to the results of the current study, 20% smectite suspension had a therapeutic effect on diarrhea caused by E. coli and/or Salmonella in calves.

      • 압출성형에 의한 국산 무연탄 활성탄의 세공구조 변화

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the variation of pore size distribution of the coal-based extruded activated carbon. The extruded activated carbon was prepared by extruding the mixture of coal powder and coal tar. Pore size distribution of the extruded activated carbon was compared with that of the extruded coal and the extruded char. Also it was compared with that of the crushed activated carbon, raw coal and char. The extruded coal had coarser surface than that of raw coal. Macropores of the extruded coal were funned near 10,000Å in diameter during carbonization process and steam penetrated easily between particles and were growing between 3,000Å and 20,000Å in diameter during activation process.

      • 가속수명 시험을 통한 PWB의 제품 신뢰성 평가 연구

        This paper describes a highly accelerated life test (HALT, USPCBT) method for rapid qualification testing of STH PWB(Silver Through Hole Printed Wire Boards). This method was carried to be an alternative to the present time-consuming standard 1344 hours life testing(THB). The accelerated life test conditions were 121℃ 95%R. H. at 50V bias and without bias. Their results are compared with those observed in the standard 1344 hours life test at 40℃/95%R.H. at 50V bias and without bias. The studied were focused on the samples' time-to-failure as well as the associated conduction and failure mechanism. The abrupt drop of insulation resistance is due to the absorption of water vapour. And the continuous drop of insulation resistance is due to the Ag migration. The ratio of time-to-failure of HALT(USPCBT) samples to THB was 25 and 11 at 50V bias and without bias respectively.

      • 신경망 확산망을 이용한 항만물류 연속 음성인식시스템에 관한 연구

        항만 물류 시스템의 인간공학적인 설계가 요구되고 있다. 특히 물류(컨테이너)의 선, 하적시 컨트롤 문제는 인간에게 과부하를 주고 있어 시스템의 음성화가 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 연속음에서 음성구간을 추출하여 각 음성을 확산필터뱅크를 통해 특징을 추출하고 신경망 인식기에서 인식하여 인식결과를 항만물류 음성인식시스템에 사원번호 인식에 사용하였으며 사원번호 입력화면에서 숫자로 디스플레이 되도록 설계하였다. 인식결과는 각 숫자음과 "확인", "삭제" 등으로 나타내었다. 전체적으로 인식률은 96%을 보이고 있으며 100% 인식결과를 나타내는 음도 있었지만 숫자 "사"의 경우 인식률 80%로 약간 낮은 결과을 나타내었다. 추후에는 패턴의 다양화와 전 처리에서의 개선 등으로 문제점을 보완 하여야 할 것이다.

      • 자동차용 실리콘 가속도센서의 개발(Ⅱ)

        자동차의 air-bag 장치에 실용될 수 있는 압저항형 단결정 실리콘 가속도센서 칩을 개발하기 위하여 결정 실리콘 미세구조의 제조방법을 확립하고, 단위공정의 검증을 통하여 일괄공정에 의한 PROTO-TYPE 칩을 만드는 기술을 연구하였다. 단결정 실리콘 미세구조는 선택확산법을 이용하여 정확히 선택된 영역에만 air-gap을 형성하여 미세구조의 측면식각을 방지하는 선택확산법에 의한 실리콘 마이크로머시닝 기술로 제조하였다. 일괄공정을 위한 단위공정확립을 위하여 PROTY-TYPE 8빔 브릿지형 가속도 센서를 제조하였다. 제조된 칩의 가속도에 따른 출력전압은 선형성을 나타내고 있으며, 감도는 약 50 ㎶/V·g로 나타났다. 이 감도는 50G용 가속도센서의 사양을 만족하지 못했다. 이는 공정에 의한 문제라기 보다는 가속도센서의 시뮬레이션에 의해 설계한 구조가 이미 원하는 감도에 못 미친다는 것으로 생각된다. 따라서 2차 공정으로 제조될 가속도센서의 파라미터를 SuperSAP 유한요소 패키지를 이용하여 실리콘 미세구조부의 파라미터에 따른 특성을 시뮬레이션하였다. 설계된 50G용 가속도센서의 mass Pad의 반경 및 빔 길이, 빔 폭, 빔 두께, 그리고 mass의 각 파라미터 값은 700 ㎛, 120 ㎛, 5 ㎛, 1.0 ㎎ 이었다. 반도체 공정기술, 관성질량 제조법 및 선택확산을 이용한 마이크로머시닝을 사용하여 일괄공정으로 8빔 브린지형 가속도센서를 제조하였다. We researched the establishment of the silicon microstructure fabrication technique to develop a piezoresistive type silicon acceleration sensor chip and the technique to make a proto-type chip by the verification of the unit-process. Silicon microstructure is fabricated silicon micro-machining by selective diffusion method. This method prevent a side-etching of microstructure because selective diffused region is only formed an air-gap. We fabricated a proto-type 8-beam bridge-type acceleration sensor to establish the unit-process for the batch-process. The output voltage of the chip represented linearity with acceleration, and the sensitivity was about 50 ㎶/V·g. But this sensitivity dosen't satisfy the requirements of a practical acceleration sensor. The cause of this result is assumed not process problem, but the structure designed by simulation isn't suitable already. Threfore, the characteristics of parameters of the acceleration sensor that will be fabricated by 2nd-process is simulated by SuperSAP finite-element package. The determined parameter values of beam length, beam width, beam thickness, mass, and mass radius are 120 ㎛, 5 ㎛, 1.0 ㎎, and 700 ㎛, respectively. We fabricated 8-beam bridge-type acceleration sensor by batch-process using a semiconductor process technique, proof-mass fabrication method, and micromachinig using selective diffusion.

      • 번계전탕액 投與가 생쥐의 腫瘍致死細胞 및 抗炎症細胞의 活性度에 미치는 影響

        This study carried out to know the effects of Tetragonia on tumor immunities and the inflammatory responses. The tumor immunities were measured by checking the antibody dependent on cellular cytotoxicity(ADCC) and natural killer(NK) cell activity. The effects of Tetragonia on inflammatory responses were measured by evaluating the amount of reactive oxygen intermediate(ROI) in the neutrophils and macrophages. The innate immunity was evaluated by measuring the phagocytic activity of macrophages. The results obtained were as follows : 1. Tetragonia increased the antigen specific ADCC without affecting antigen non specific NK cell activity in tumor immunities. 2. Tetragonia severely decreased such ROI as O^-_2 and H_2O_2 in both neutrophils and macrophages. 3. Tetragonia increased the phagocytic activity of macrophages. The results of this study suggest that tetragonia might be effective on tumor immunity and such inflammatory diseases as rheumatoid arthritis and allergic diseases.

      • 자외선에 의하여 유발되는 염색체 이상과 자매 염색 분체 교환에 미치는 calmodulin의 영향

        The present study was performed to elucidate not only the effects of clamodulin (calcuim receptor) on the damages and their recovery processes at the chromosomal level, but also the possible relationship between chromsome aberration and sister chromatid exchange(SCE). To obtain a clear understanding of them ,the experiment were undertaken to the effects of trifluoperazine (Tfp; calmodulin inhibitor) on chromosome aberrations and sister chromatid exchchanges induced by ultraviolet light(UV). The results obtained were as follows: 1)Both the chromosome aberrations and sister chromatid exchanges were not induced by the treatment of various concentration and hours of Tfp. 2) Tfp inhibited chromosome aberrations induced by UV-light regardless of the concentration and hours of treatment. 3) In the groups treated with 5μM Tfp for 1 hour after exposure to UV-light, sister chromatid exchanges induced by UV-light were little effected. However, in the groups treated with 10μM or 20μM Tfp, sister chromatid exchanges induced by UV-light increased with Tfp unlike chromosome aberrations. 4) Treatment of Tfp for 36 hours after exposure to UV-light increased the sister chromatid exchanges UV-light. The aspects of increase were proportional to the concentration of Tfp. These data indicate that Tfp itself dose not induce chromosome aberrations and sister chromatid exchanges, but is concerned in chromosome aberrations and sister chromatid exchanges induced by UV-light; that is, it has the ability to decrease chromosomal aberrations but to increase sister chromatid exchanges. In conclusion, calmodulin has an effect on the damages and their recovery at the chromosome level, the induction pathways of chromosome aberrations and sister chromatid exchanges seems to be controlled by the different mechanisms.

      • 칼슘 및 燐酸鹽이 메탄生成菌의 早期粒狀化에 미치는 影響

        Results of examined effect of calcium and phosphate on granular sludge of methane production bacteria in treating paper and pulp making wastewater by up-flow anaerobic sludge blanked reactor were summarized as follows: 1. Generally granulated month of granular sludge was taked five and six months in case of not dose calcium and phosphorus ion but when artificial dosing calcium and phophorus concentration ratio 80mg/l versus 192mg/l was appeared 75 day on the granulated day. 2. Perfection of granular sludge by scanning electron microscope mere photo-graphed in COD loading rate 6.0kg COD/㎥ day and granular sludge diameter mas from 1.2mm to 3.9mm and settling velocity was 60cm/min. 3, Results of analysis calcium and phosphorus of one gram granular sludge were obtained 33.81 mg, 17.14 mg. so that artificial dosing calcium and phosphorus of chemical factor were effected in granulation process. 4. Methane production per kg COD removal was obtained from 0.2㎥CH4/kg CODrem to 0.31㎥CH4/kg CODrem, so that this study is not reached 0.35㎥ theoretical methane production per kg COD removal for nonbiodegradable substrate of wastewater.
