        세단뛰기 지지국면 시 사지의 각운동량과 운동수행과의 관계

        J. K. RYU, H. C. YEO. The Relationship between the Angular Momentum of the Limbs and the Performance during Support Phase of the Triple Jump. Korean Journal of Sport Biomechanics, Vol. 14, No. 1, pp. 65-81, 2004. The purposes of this study were to determine the functions of actions of the limbs during each of the three support phases of the triple jump and their relationships with the performance of the triple jump. Four elite male triple jumpers were participated as subjects. The Pearson product moment correlation coefficient were used to determine and compare the relationships between the change in each component of the normalized angular momentum of the whole body about center of gravity and the actions of the extremities during different support phases. A level of significance at a=.05 was set. After analyzing the angular momentum and correlation during support phase of the hop, step, and jump, the following findings are obtained: The actions of the arms created a side-somersaulting angular momentum about the whole body center of gravity toward the side of the free leg during the support phase of the step, and a somersaulting angular momentum about the whole body center of gravity during each support phase. The action of the free leg created a somersaulting angular momentum about the whole body center of gravity during the support phases of the hop and step.

        fmGA를 이용한 하수관거정비 최적화 모델

        A long-term sewer rehabilitation project consuming an enormous budget needs to be conducted systematically using an optimization skill. The optimal budgeting and ordering of priority for sewer rehabilitation projects are very important with respect to the effectiveness of investment. In this study, the sewer rehabilitation optimization model using fast-messy genetic algorithm is developed to suggest a schedule for optimal sewer rehabilitation in a subcatchment area by modifying the existing GOOSER model having been developed using simple genetic algorithm. The sewer rehabilitation optimization model using fast-messy genetic algorithm can improve the speed converging to the optimal solution relative to GOOSE , suggesting that it is more advantageous to the sewer rehabilitation in a larger-scale subcatchment area than GOOSER .

      • 忠北 『生命의 숲』 造成成果와 環境性 提高를 爲한 "새천년손자숲"造成方案

        Since 1996 the government of Chungbuk province has established and managed "Forest for Lif" to enhance the environmental effects of forest on human life. In the year of 1998, "the National Campaign for Establishing Forests for Life" in initiated nationally as a civil movement. In this study, the achievements of "Forests for Life" in Chungbuk province and "Forests for New Millenium Grandson", a new movement driven by the provincial government, were reviewed in terms of environmental science, public economy, forest policy and planning to maximize their environmental effects. The followings are suggested. Four ways of financial supports(fund-raising, donation of seedlings, provincial bond, and public fund) are suggested for running the movement. Among these methods, fund-raising is considered the most proper one. The establishment of model "Forests for New Millenium Grandson" is proposed in public land rather than private land in every city and county in Chungbuk area, after consideration of environmental factors such as soil and wind direction. Three type of "Forests for New Millenium Grandson", forested park, ecology Park, and urban park, are recommended to develop, and each park should have its optimum size due to the own environmental characteristics. Tree species recommended by Chungbuk Forestry Authorities and showing low susceptibility to pollutants are recommended to be planted for "Forests for New Millenium Grandson" movement. The following suggestions are recommended for better "Forests for New Millenium Grandson". 1) Environmental education should be spread to the general public for effective volunteering participation in tree planting. 2) As for enterprises, total control system combining afforestation performance and carbon dioxide output to induce to participate the movements. 3) In the case of selecting "the model company for environmental quality control", the Ministry of Environment authorities has suggested to include afforestation effort as a selecting criteria, Otherwise, the governor of the province should have full authority to select the winning company for environmental quality control.

      • 頭鍼이 中風患者의 단기간 NIHSS와 MBI에 미치는 영향

        Objective ; The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Scalp acupuncture on recovery of motor disorders in stroke patients. Methods ; Twenty two patients with poststroke-hemiplegia were randomized into two groups. Ten patients(test group) treated by 2 methods-Scalp acupuncture and body acupuncture. The other twelve patients(control group) treated only by body acupuncture. The activity of daily living was measured with a National Institutes of Health stroke scale(NIHSS) and Modified Barthel Index(MBI). The therapy was performed one a day for 2 weeks. Results ; In terms of score of NIHSS, the test group showed statistically meaningful decrease after 2 week treatment, but the control group showed statistically meaningful decrease after 1 week(p<0.05). And in terms of score of MBI, the test group did not show statistically meaningful increase but the control group showed statistically meaningful increase after 1 week(p<O.05). There was no statistically meaningful difference after 1 and 2 week treatment between the groups. Conclusions ; These results support that test group has almost same effectness compared with control group in improvement of the activity of daily living of poststroke-hemiplegic patients.

        전두엽 기능장애를 동반하는 알쯔하이머병은 보통의 알쯔하이머병과 구분될 수 있는가?

        Background:Some Alzheimer's patients exhibit frontal lobe dysfunction early in the course of the disease. We compared this subgroup of Alzheimer's disease(AD) with usual AD to see if there is any neuropsychological or anatomical differentiation. Methods:Twenty patients diagnosed with probable AD using NINCDS-ADRDA criteria underwent a comprehensive neuropsychological test (Seoul Neuropsychological Screening Battery), neuropsychiatric inventory (NPI), and brain MRI. All patients were supposed to be in the early stage of dementia and their clinical dementia rating (CDR) score belonged to either 0.5 or 1. The presence of frontal dysfunction was defined when more than 2 of the 6 test categories were abnormal. Brain MRI was reviewed with regard to the severity of associated leukoaraiosis. Results:Eleven patients belonged to "AD with frontal dysfunction" group, whereas 9 belonged to "AD without frontal dysfunction"group. There were no group differences in the age, CDR score, education level, NPI score, and associated leukoaraiosis on MRI. Mini-Mental State Exam score was lower in the frontal group than in the usual AD group (21.2 vs. 24.9). With respect to neuropsychological performance, naming (p=0.005) and calculation (p=0.04) were significantly impaired in the frontal group than in the usual AD group. There was also a difference in digit span and delayed verbal recall. Conclusion:AD patients with frontal dysfunction tend to show a more severe cognitive impairment with some of the cognitive functions preferentially affected. This study suggests that AD with early involvement of frontal function may be a neuropsychologically distinct subgroup of Alzheimer's disease. Further longitudinal study is warranted to look at whether these patients are a clinically identifiable subgroup of AD.

        The problems in valve-train system are valve bouncing, high seating, velocity jumping, surge, valve acceleration and overshoot in high-speed running. It is essential to estimate them accurately in designing the shape of cam. In this paper, the method for measurement of contact load, which is applied between rocker arm and valve, using strain gauge is provided. In the result of this research, contact load and dynamic characteristics between rocker arm and valve is verified, and the design data for improving the engine performance are provided.

        도마 손 짚고 몸펴 앞 공중 돌아 540도 비틀기의 운동역학적 분석

        H. C. YEO, J. K. RYU. The Mechanical Analysis of the Hand spring forward and Salto forward straight with 3/2 Turn on the Vault. Korean Journal of Sport Biomechanics, Vol. 14, No. 1, pp. 13-26, 2004. The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of the kinematical and the kinetical factors that calculated from preflight to postflight of salto forward straight 3/2 turn motion between skitters and less-skillers. Four S-VHS video cameras operating at 60Hz were used to record the performances. Five elite male gymnasts were participated in this study as subjects. Three-dimensional coordinates of 21 body landmarks during each trial were collected using a Direct Linear Transformation method. The raw 3-D coordinates of the 21 body landmarks were smoothed using a second order lowpass, recursive Butterworth digital filter and a cutoff frequency of 10Hz. Load cells attached on the beneath of a board were used to attain the kinetic variables. It was found that the more angular momentum in the longitudinal axis, the less vertical velocity and these angular momentum effected the height of peak in the preflight. Also, it was revealed that the larger angular momentum in the medio-lateral axis was rather than it in the longitudinal axis to increase vertical height and rotation force of the body. For the reaction force of springboard, the vertical and the horizontal reaction force were 16.52BW and 3.45BW, respectively. It was found that the higher value of the vertical reaction force induced the faster vertical velocity and the higher angular momentum. of the whole body center of gravity.
