Air quality monitoring is a primary activity for industrial and social environment. The government push for pollutants that must be monitored. Especially, the VOCs(Volatile Organic Compounds), which are very harmful for human and environment, should be controlled under the government policy. We have been developed a VOCs measurement system which recognize various kinds and quantities of VOCs, such as benzene, toluene, and xylene(BTX). Especially, we designed sensor array with various kinds of gas sensor and ANN(Artificial Neural Network) algorithm. The measured values for BTX have errors of 1~4ppm.

The present paper describes the results of the cooperative experimental study organized by the Resistance Committee of the Korea Towing Tank Conference, which aims to improve model testing technique and accuracy and to self-evaluate their own capabilities. A Series 60, $C_b=0.60$ model was tested at the towing tanks of Korea Institute of Machinery & Metals, Hyundai Maritime Research Institute, Seoul National University, and Inha University. Results for total resistance, wave pattern analysis, wave pattern analysis, wave profile, trim & sinkage and wake measure ments are presented.

The domestic product of a non-depolarizing muscle relaxant, Metuben, was studied on its effect in rabbit. Twenty four rabbits of either sex weighing 2~3kg were divided into four groups (consisting of 6 animals each) to administer Metuben in doses of 0.05 mg/kg, O.l mg/kg, 0.2 mg/ kg and 0.4 mg/kg, respectively. All animals were anesthetized with 20% urethane 5 ml/kg given intraperitoneally and 2.5% pentothal sodium 10 mg/kg intravenously. ECG was monitored by Physio-contro1(lifepak 7)model. The animal lungs were mechanically ventilated through a tracheostomy and Shinano animal respirator set to deliver a 30 ml/kg tidal volume at 30 breaths/min. This ventilatory pattern resulted in the PaCO2 values within the range of 30-40 mmHg. Twitches of the tibialis anterior muscle were elicited at 0.1 Hz, $quot;Train of four$quot; via the peroneal branch of the sciatic nerve, and the Myotest stimulator were applied at supramaximal voltage. Twitch recording was done via Biophysiograph. Results were as follows: 1) The effect of Metuben as a dose-dependent long lasting non-depolarizing muscle relaxant was confirmed. Their relaxant effect in rabbits were quite different from man. 2) In rabbits, Metuben showed great individual differences in its effect even with the s'ame dosage. The length of muscle relaxing activity.and the occurence of recurarization after neostigmine reverse were extremely variable suggesting its safety margin is quite narrow.
술후 정맥 자가통증조절에서 Nalbuphine 의 용량에 따른 효과 비교

Background: The management of postoperative pain with traditional narcotic analgesic regimen is associated with an unacceptably high failure rate and at best has represented a cautious compromise between adequate analgesia and the risk of complications, particularly that of respiratory depression. The purpose of this investigation was to compare the efficacy and safely of nalbuphine given by patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) with differential dosages after total knee replacement. Methods: A double-blind clinical trial of 75 patients who received intravenous nalbuphine with patient-controlled analgesia during the postoperative first 48 hours after total knee replacement, was carried. Patients were assigned to three groups by the concentration of nalbuphine: Group 1 (n = 25), 2 mg/ml; Group 2, 4 mg/ml; Group 3, 6 mg/ml. The settings of PCA in three groups were same. Results: Visual analog scale (VAS) scores were used to assess pain. Group 2 and 3 patients reported significant lower VAS over the postoperatively 6 hours and 12 hours at either rest or movement compared to group 1. PCA demands, delivered doses and PCA nalbuphine dosage per hours except supplemental analgesic doses in the first 48 hours were lower in group 2 and 3 compared to group 1. There were significant differences among groups at postoperatively 6 and 12 hours in nausea, vomiting and sedation of the side effects. Conclusions: IV PCA with nalbuphine is thought to be potent and safe for postoperative pain relief without the major morbidity like respiratory depression, in addition the careful observation and treatment on the side effect like nausea, vomiting and sedation, is surely needed.
