      • 고속 활주형 선의 선형 개발에 관한 연구

        This study has been carried out for the development of 25knots class planing boat. Totally 5model ships were manufactured and resistance test and trim sinkage measurement has been carried out. The tests up to 15knots were performed and selected 3 forms in the CWC(Circulating Water Channel) of Chosun university. Further test in the rage of high speed were carried out in WJFEL(West Japan Fluid Engineering Lab). The deep V formed P-4 model was proved as best formed for the resistance and other performances.

        각파(Edge wave)와 그에 관련된 여러 가지의 특성들을 오래 전부터 관심의 대상이었다. 요즈음 각파에 관한 이론들은 연안 유체역학에서 중요한 부분으로 인식되어지고 있으며 여러 과학자들에 의해 지난 수집여년동안 광범위하게 연구되어져 왔다. 지배 방정식을 풀기위한 각파의 명백한 해에 대한 연구는 각파가 구조적으로 사각지대에 위치함으로 인해 관찰이 어렵기 때문에 더욱 관심의 대상 되어 왔다. 더욱이 근사 수학식들에 대한 해는 이제까지 간주 되어왔던 실상들에 반증 할 수 있는 자료를 제공해준다. 본 논문에서는 부수적인 접근방법으로 각파의 공명간섭에 관한 변조 수식을 정의하기 위하여 느린 파의 이론을 사용하였다. 본 연구에서는 시간과 y 방향의 변하에 대한 공조에 만족할만한 결과를 얻었으며 이 결과는 쇄파와 이에 영향을 미치는 인자들 간의 발생하는 각파를 분석하는데 사용되어졌다. 각파의 간섭에 대한 비선형 해는 일반적으로 잘 알려진 Sine-Gordon 모델을 사용하였다.

      • 활주형선의 고속어선 적용에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 25노트급 활주형 어선의 기본선형을 도출하기 위해 수행되었다. 대상선형은 총톤수 10톤급으로 자료조사 결과로부터 길이 15m, 폭 3.5m, 깊이 1.32m로 정하였다. 총 5척의 선형에 대하여 저항 및 트림, 침하량 계측시험을 수행하였다. 15노트까지와 저속역에 대한 모형시험은 조선대학교 회류수조에서 수행되었고, 이로부터 3척의 선형에 대하여 서일본유체기술연구소 고속회류수조에서 고속역에 대한 모형시험을 수행하였다. 연구결과 볼록-오목 단면형 선형의 선수를 DeeP V 형으로 개선한 P-4선형이 저항 및 기타 성능 면에서 가장 우수한 결과가 나왔다. This study was carried out to get a basic hull form planning fishing boat. Some principal characteristics of the object hull form of G/T 10ton class are selected as length 15m, breadth 3.5m, depth 1.32m from a result of data research. For 5 models, resistance, trim and sinkage were tested. The model tests at low speed zone were performed in Chosun University, and at high speed zone were performed in CWC at WJFEL. From test results, P-4 which inverted-bell type modified to deep V type was the most excellent with respect to resistance and the other performance

        Design of Anti-Rolling Tank(ART) has been carried out cooperatively with the West Japan Fluid Engineering Laboratory(WJFEL). The model for the developed ART has been performed in the square basin of WJFEL for the fourth sea wave conditions.

        In order to investigate the variation of meteological factors induced by construction of dam, the prediction model, WQRRS, is used. As a result, the effect of Dam construction showed that the amount of evaporation increases because of broad water surface area. Therefore, nighttime relative humidity is raised, and annual foggy days are increased more than 7days and sunshine hours are decreased.

        A Study on the Nuclear Powered Vessels

        The concept of nuclear-powered merchant ships has been blooming in the naval architecture community for more than four decades now. But the recent developments in commercial shipping include bigger, faster and more powerful ships, where nuclear propulsion may prove an option worth considering. The development of advanced ship deigns along with the nuclear power opens an opportunity for high-speed maritime transportation that could create new markets and recover a fraction of the high value goods currently shipped only by air. Despite perceived hazards, inherently safe nuclear propulsion plants can be deigned for next generation merchant ships employing the newest technology. Combining an existing and well proven gas turbine plus heat exchangers with inherently safe nuclear technology for energy conversion promises a viable alternative propulsion solution for various tonnage typed vessels. This paper is an effort to reveal the advantageous position of nuclear propulsion over conventional propulsion methods for merchant vessels.

        Salt and Sand Transport from Aral Sea Basin

        Model for dust and salt transportation from the dried bottom of the Aral Sea is suggested. Theoretical analysis is based on the turbulent diffusion equation for the averaged function of passive impurity concentration. One-layer model of the atmospheric boundary layer is assumed. Impurity precipitation rates are calculated as the functions of the particle size and the distance source of particles. Analytical solutions for the point and two-dimensional sources of impurities are found. Model calculations for salt and sand transport from the Aral Sea basin are made on the basis of 2D source model with a constant intensity.

        Surface Gravity Waves with Strong Frequency Modulation

        Modulation theory describes propagation of surface waves with deep wave number and frequency modulation. Locally spectrally narrow wave packet can have accumulated large scale frequency shift of carrier wave during propagation. Some important nonlinear modulation effects, such as negative frequencies, phase kinks, crest pairing, etc., often observed experimentally at long fetch propagation of finite amplitude surface wave trains, are reproduced by the proposed theory. The presented model permits also to analyze the appropriately short surface wave packets and modulation periods. Solutions show the wave phase kinks to arise on areas of relatively small free surface displacement in complete accordance with the experiments.

      • METHOD OF MEASURING OF SEA WAVE PARAMETERS BY REFLECTED LASER SIGNAL STATISTICS

        A new methodolgy of laser remote sensing is proposed, based on sensing the sea surface by a narrow laser beam (2-3 cm) and analyzing statistically specular reflections. Construction of the angular dependency of the average density of specks versus the aircraft flight horizontal azimuth allows calculation of both intensity and azimuthal properties of the sea surface spectrum. The paper contains the examples of calculated main statistical parameters of sea waves.
