        This study is focused on the importance of the aged and family life according to social change have been affected by information telecommunication technology. Korean society has been rapidly changing to the aged and information society. In our society, the aged person needs for money, health, psychological solitude, and leisure to keep the successful family life and aging. The telecommunication technology may apply to a lot of fields in the aged life. In particular, the surpass of time and space limit by the telecommunication could supply on-demand service for the acted needs. But, the strategies for enhancing information of the aged are insufficient in our society. Therefore, for enhancing the quality of living of the aged, It is needed to develop internet slues and contents which are focused on the population.

        골반내에 발생한 Proximal-type 유상피성 육종 1예

        유상피성 육종은 매우 드문 악성 연조직 육종으로, 전형적인 경우들은 주로 젊은 남성의 수부, 전완부와 같은 신체의 원위부에 피하 혹은 심재성 피부 종괴로 발생하며, 조직학적 소견상 적은 비정형성을 나타내는 유상피성 세포와 방추형 세포의 증식에 의한 다발성 결절 형태의 배열을 보인다. 최근에 전형적인 유상피성 육종과 조직학적 유사성을 가지나 더 공격적인 형태인 proximal-type 유상피성 육종이 보고되었으며, proximal-type은 전형적인 유상피성 육종에 비하여 현저한 유상피성 세포의 발현과 매우 심한 비정형성을 나타내며, 세포가 매우 크고, 소포성 핵과 뚜렷한 핵소체를 보이며, 자주 rhabdoid 세포의 양상을 띈다. 임상적으로는 전형적인 형태에 비하여 호발 연령이 조금 늦고, 주로 체간부에, 특히 골반, 회음부, 생식기 등과 같은 심부에 발생하고, 더욱 공격적인 양상을 나타낸다. 저자들은 13세 소녀에서 원발부위를 알 수 없는, 골반내에 발생한 proximal-type 유상피성 육종 1예를 경험하여, 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Epithelioid sarcoma is a rare malignant soft-tissue sarcoma with an unknown histiogenesis, typically presenting as a subcutaneous or deep dermal mass lesion in the distal portions of the extremities of young adults. Recently, a more aggressive, so-called 'proximal-type' epithelioid sarcoma has been reported. In contrast to conventional epithelioid sarcoma, the proximal type is characterized by a predominantly large cell epithelioid cytomorphology, marked cytologic atypia, and frequent occurrence of rhabdoid features in most patients. Proximal-type epithelioid sarcoma has a predilection for appearing in the genitalia, especially the vulva, penis, pelvis and buttocks. Also this lesion appears to be somewhat more aggressive or at least metastasizes earlier than the conventional epithelioid sarcoma. We report a 13-year-old girl who presented with a buge mass filling the pelvic cavity which was painful, hard and fixed on palpation, and was radiologically diagnosed as a malignant germ cell tumors on the CT scan. The mass was surgically excised and pathologically proved to be an proximal-type epithelioid sarcoma of unknown origin.

        This study explores explanations for family services for the elderly and adult daughters' relationships with their mothers. Reserach on families and older adults has consistently documented that families. especially adult children, are the predominant services and health care providers to the elderly parents. In our socity, to say "providers" is usually to mean the eldest son. Demographic trends and changes of family structure. however. suggest that the future availability of sons to serve as primary care-givers to their older parents may be limited. For example, the trend towards smaller families, the increase in the proportion of women in later market. the decrease of birth rate, attitudinal change with regard to responsibility for care of aged parents and revision of family law have influence on relationship between elderly parents and adult children. Adult daughters are specialty perceived to be and perceive themselves as emotionally closer to their parents than are sons. Therefore. when daughters have high affectional solidarity to their mothers and women survive their husbands. to examine adult daughters relatinships with their mothers is very important.

        Currently the evaluation of high school science and mathematics learning has been too much knowledge-centered without concerning the inquiring ability or scientific attitude. This study, therefore, was made for the purpose of establishing of evaluation model for high school science (biology and earth science) and mathematics learning and its evaluation items. In this paper, the research was done about three fields, biology, earth science and mathematics. 1. For the biology, the evaluation methods of inquiry learning were studied with the foreign references, and proper evaluation items were suggested. 2. For the earth science, after analizing 5 kinds of earth science textbook of current using in high school, essential 19 items were selected. 5 of them were tested in test group and control group, then, the results were analized. 3. For the mathematice, the teaching elements of「Set」and「Flow chart」in mathematics (Ⅰ) were selected and structured. Detailed teaching objects were established and evaluation items were introduced.

        노년기 준비교육 프로그램

        본 연구의 목적은 노후에 직면하는 현실적인 문제인 건강, 경제, 고독과 고립, 역할상실 등에 적극적으로 대처하도록 하기 위해서는 보다 통합적인 노년기 준비교육이 필요하다는 인식하에 효과적인 노년기 준비교육 프로그램을 개발하여 중ㆍ노년기의 노후적응능력을 향상시키는데 있다. 프로그램의 개발은 노년학 분야의 선행연구들에서 노년기 준비교육에서 고려되어야 할 분야로 지적되고 있는 건강, 가족관계, 경제, 여가 등 네 영역에 초점을 맞추어 이루어졌으며, 각 주제별로 구성하였다. 본 프로그램은 중ㆍ노년기를 대상으로 실시되었으며, 그 효과를 평가하기 위하여 사전검사와 사후검사를 시행하였다. 프로그램 실시 후 평가를 분석한 결과, 전반적으로 참석자들의 노후생활준비를 위한 태도와 행동의 계획 등에서 의식이 향상되었다. 또한 참석자들의 주관적인 평가에서도 그들의 현실적인 문제에 대한 욕구를 반영해주었다는 점에서 좋은 평가를 내리고 있다. 따라서 본 '풍요로운 노후 가꾸기' 프로그램은 노년기 준비의식과 준비행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 효과적인 프로그램이라고 할 수 있다. The purpose of this study were to develop and evaluate family life education program for the middle-aged and older. This program was grounded in the current gerontological research; topics such as health difficulties, financial affairs, isolations, and the loss of role need to be incorporated into programs for middle-aged and older. So, this program was composed of four 2-hour sessions; health care, enhancing relationships with spouses and children, financial planning, and the use of leisure time. The effectiveness of the program was evaluated by taking pretest and posttest. Overall, the participants rated the program as helpful. The middle-aged and older also reported making significant improvements in their attitudes and behaviors of preparation toward later life.

      • 보육 공무원들의 보육정책 업무역량 향상을 위한 교육프로그램 개발을 위한 교육요구도

        The purpose of this study is to investigate educational needs to develop standard educational programs that will improve the work accomplishment ability of nurture charge employees. The subjects of this study are thirty nationwide local self-governing groups. They are working business charge government employees and a questionnaire was used. The result shows that the greatest educational need for the improvement of work accomplishment ability of nurture charge employees was knowledge and information about the operation of nature management facilities. The subjects also answered that out of currently existing programs, the most effective one is the nurture support program. Finally, the subjects listed necessary changes for a smooth accomplishment of nurture affairs: construction of a post that is fully in charge of nurture operations, professionalization of nurture operations, improvement of labor conditions of the public nurture personnel and staff, reinforcement of nurture education, support for nurture charges, etc. The education program for public nurture personnel consists of a basic curriculum that aids the overall flow of nurture policies and a professional curriculum for the improvement of executive ability in reality. The educational procedure of the basic curriculum is composed with two sessions including "Gender Perspective and the Understanding of Infantile Nurture Law" and "Department Systems and Changes in Infantile Nurture Law." Professional curriculum is consisted of six sessions including "Operational Management by Nurture Facility Type," "Nurture Worker Management and Education," "Understanding of Nurture Administration I: Evaluation Authentication System and Nurture Administration Communication System," "Understanding of Nurture Administration II: Accounting Management and Standard Administration," and "Actual Training for Civil Appeal Unit."

      • Strengthening of Zircaloy-4 using Y<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> particles by a laser-beam-induced surface treatment process

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The mechanical strength of Zircaloy-4 was enhanced by surface treatment consisting of laser beam scanning of an oxide-coated Zircaloy-4 sheet. An yttrium oxide (Y<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>) coating 7–55μm thick was applied to Zircaloy-4 sheets. Then, a laser beam was used to form a dispersed oxide layer on the Zircaloy-4 metal surface. The thickness of the dispersed oxide layer varied from 80 to 200μm depending on the process parameters. Tensile tests of samples having both surfaces treated were conducted at room temperature and 380°C. The tensile strength of Zircaloy-4 at room temperature was increased by up to 20% with the formation of a thin dispersed oxide layer with a thickness<10% of that of the Zircaloy-4 substrate. However, the tensile elongation of the samples decreased drastically. The decreased ductility became insignificant as the testing temperature increased to 380°C. The strengthening of the fabricated samples could be explained by two mechanisms: (i) oxide particles dispersed in the metallic matrix and (ii) the phase transformation in Zircaloy-4.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Laser beam treatment technology was developed for producing the oxide-dispersion-strengthened (ODS) Zircaloy-4. </LI> <LI> ODS Zircaloy-4 with increased strength was obtained by surface treatment to form a dispersed oxide layer. </LI> <LI> The strengthening was more effective at elevated temperature revealing the high toughness without brittle failure. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

      • Fabrication and mechanical properties of an oxide-dispersion-strengthened FeCrAl alloy

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In the present work, oxide dispersion is used to improve the high-temperature strength of FeCrAl alloys, which have excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance. Laser-beam scanning is introduced as a new method for manufacturing oxide-dispersion-strengthened alloys. Various oxide powders were initially coated on the surface of the FeCrAl alloy, which was then surface-treated by a laser beam to cause the oxides to penetrate and disperse into the metal matrix. The microstructure of the dispersed oxide layer was investigated by scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy to reveal the mechanisms involved in oxide dispersion during the laser-beam scanning process. The effect of the different powder materials on the strengthening of laser-beam-scanned FeCrAl was examined by tensile tests, which were carried out at room temperature, 380 °C, and 500 °C. Regardless of the powder material, the thin oxide-dispersed-strengthened specimens showed similar tensile strengths to that of untreated samples at room temperature, but showed improvements of up to 24% at elevated temperatures. The total elongation of the surface-treated samples was considerably lower than that of the untreated sample at 380 °C; however, this loss of ductility was not significant at 500 °C.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Successful incorporation of oxide particles into FeCrAl by laser beam scanning. </LI> <LI> Dispersion of yttria and ceria strengthens the FeCrAl alloy at elevated temperature. </LI> <LI> Ductility drops by 10–11% at 380 °C, yet does not change significantly at 500 °C. </LI> </UL> </P>

        Microstructure and mechanical behavior of Zr substrates coated with FeCrAl and Mo by cold-spraying

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>FeCrAl and Mo layers were cold-sprayed onto a Zr surface, with the Mo layer introduced between the FeCrAl coating and the Zr matrix preventing high-temperature interdiffusion. Microstructural characterization of the first-deposited Mo layer and the Zr matrix immediately below the Mo/Zr interface was performed using transmission electron microscopy, and near-interface elemental distributions were obtained using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The deformation of the coated Mo powder induced the formation of microbands and mechanically interlocked nanoscale structures. The mechanical behavior of Zr with a coating layer was compared with those characteristic of conventional Zr samples. The coated sample showed smaller strength reduction in the test conducted at elevated temperature. The hardness and fracture morphology of the Zr matrix near the interface region were investigated to determine the effect of impacting Mo particles on the matrix microstructure. The enhanced hardness and cleavage fracture morphology of the Zr matrix immediately below the Mo/Zr interface indicated the occurrence of localized deformation owing to Mo particle impact.</P>
