Biliary Papillomatosis is an extremely rare pathologic entity. Only about 40 cases of intrahepatic or diffuse intra- and extrahepatic papillomatosis have been described since the first report in 1959 by Caroli. Although this is a histologically benign lesion, its course is unfavaurable because of its tendency to extend to the entire biliary tract, high recurrence rate following local excision and the probability of progression to malignancy. We described herein a case of biliary papillomatosis associated with diffuse bile duct dilatation. The patient, a 59-year-old male, was admitted to our hospital because of right upper abdominal pain and weight loss. Cholangiogram revealed multiple round filling defects in common hepatic duct with intrahepatic bile duct dilatation. The patient underwent Whipple's operation with right lobectomy. Grossly, multiple small pin-head sized polypoid masses were seen in common bile duct, common hepatic duct and right intrahepatic duct. Microscapically, papillary epithelial hyperplasia with moderate cellular atypia was seen and there was no evidence of stromal invasion. He is healthy with a follow-up for 7 months.

The objective of this study was to establish an optimized 1D $^1H$ quantitative nuclear magnetic resonance (qNMR) analytical method for analyzing polar metabolites in meat. Three extraction solutions [0.6 M perchloric acid, 10 mM phosphate buffer, water/methanol (1:1)], three reconstitution buffers [20 mM 3-morpholinopropane-1-sulfonic acid, 2-[4-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazin-1-yl]ethanesulfonic acid, phosphate buffer], and two pulse programs (zg30, noesypr1d) were evaluated. Extraction with 0.6 M perchloric acid and 20 mM phosphate resulted in a stable baseline and no additional overlap for quantifying polar metabolites in chicken breast. In qNMR analysis, zg30 pulse program (without water-suppression) showed smaller relative standard deviation (RSD) and faster running time than noesypr1d (water-suppression). High-performance liquid chromatography was compared with qNMR analyses to validate accuracy. The zg30 pulse program showed good accuracy and lower RSD. The optimized qNMR method was able to apply for beef and pork samples. Thus, an optimized 1D $^1H$ qNMR method for meat metabolomics was established.

PURPOSE. This study compared the effect of three intraoral repair systems on the bond strength between composite resin and zirconia core. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Thirty zirconia specimens were divided into three groups according to the repair method: Group I-CoJet$^{TM}$ Repair System (3M ESPE) [chairside silica coating with $30{\mu}m$ $SiO_2$ + silanization + adhesive]; Group II-Ceramic Repair System (Ivoclar Vivadent) [etching with 37% phosphoric acid + Zirconia primer + adhesive]; Group III-Signum Zirconia Bond (Heraus) [Signum Zirconia Bond I + Signum Zirconia Bond II]. Composite resin was polymerized on each conditioned specimen. The shear bond strength was tested using a universal testing machine, and fracture sites were examined with FE-SEM. Surface morphology and wettability after surface treatments were examined additionally. The data of bond strengths were statistically analyzed with one-way ANOVA and Tamhane post hoc test (${\alpha}$=.05). RESULTS. Increased surface roughness and the highest wettability value were observed in the CoJet sand treated specimens. The specimens treated with 37% phosphoric acid and Signum Zirconia Bond I did not show any improvement of surface irregularity, and the lowest wettability value were found in 37% phosphoric acid treated specimens. There was no significant difference in the bond strengths between Group I ($7.80{\pm}0.76$ MPa) and III ($8.98{\pm}1.39$ MPa). Group II ($3.21{\pm}0.78$ MPa) showed a significant difference from other groups (P<.05). CONCLUSION. The use of Intraoral silica coating system and the application of Signum Zirconia Bond are effective for increasing the bond strength of composite resin to zirconia.
