        This study develops the mixed structure joint which could improve the strength, deformation, and energy dissipation capacities compared to existing mixed structure joints. The type of joint developed in this study is called "the beam penetration joint" where the web of steel beam penetrate into the column confined by the concrete. This paper describes the cyclic test on the RC column-steel beam joint for investigating the hysteretic behavior of the joint. From this test its strength. stiffness and ductility capacity are discussed.

      • 양방향 2차로 도로의 기하구조에 따른 서비스수준 분석에 관한 연구

        Ⅱn this study, the Highway zones that have a passing lane or a concession lane out of annexed lanes to bi-directional two lane Highway were investigated. Characteristics of the highways according to geometrical structure were analyzed and LOS analysis was performed for each zone. The results are as follows; 1. The correction index for existing heavy vehicles should be considered in field limit speed because of the enhancement of the vehicle speed. 2. When analyzing traffic flow, it is more desirable to establish concession zones rather than to have more passing lanes, which are easily influenced by opposite side traffic flow. As this study investigated annexed lanes of highways only, those of local roads should be studied further.

      • 灌漑 用水路 組織의 構造化에 대한 經濟的 妥當性 檢討

        This paper is the final stage to evaluate economic feasibility of concrete bench flume for irrigation conveyance systems. The two different methods of economic evaluation in this paper were used; Comparison of Internal Rate of Return and Cost Comparison. The former is considered benifits and costs, the latter only costs. Five irrigation districts were selected near Pyongtack and Ansung to evaluate these methods. The results from this study are summarized as follows: 1. The concrete bench flumes were found to be the most economical types in consequence of the comparison of internal rate of return, where estimated benifits were considered the irrigation area enlarged by conveyance systems, and costs included the assumed costs for conveyance losses. 2. As a result of cost comparison, the total expenses for concrete bench flumes were cheaper than those for earth canals within five years, and the bench flumes for main canals were more profitable than those for branch canals. 3. In case that existing earth canals were improved to concrete bench flumes, cost comparisons were used to analyze their economic evaluations. These results show that improving to bench flumes is economically feasiable when the construction costs improving to bench flumes are not exceeding 320,000won/m (190,000won/m at present) for main canals and 70,000won/m (42,000won/m at present) for branch canals. 4. The results from these study including Koh and Rhee (1983) and Choi et. al. (1985) demonstrate that it is to be desired that irrigation corveyance systems are constructed as concrete bench flumes and existing earth canals are improved to concrete bench flumes.

      • 사판형 가변행정 압축기의 커넥팅 로드의 동역학적 해석

        Connecting rods of variable displacement compressor(V-5 compressor) in high speed motion may undergo high stresses and strains due to increased dynamic forces. Fluctuation of the induced stress must be considered to predict fatigue fracture and service life in design of this compressor. Dynamic analysis is performed for V-5 compressor using constrained Newton-Euler equations of motion, considering the effects of friction and load. Dynamic stress fluctuation of connecting rod is investigated particularly. Connecting rod is assumed to be linear Euler-Bernoulli beam. When the equation of motion of connecting rod is derived, effects of rotatory inertia and shear deformation are neglected. Safety factor is calculated using maximum distortion energy theory and service life is predicted using Modified-Goodman criterion.

      • Digital Signal Processor를 이용한 유도전동기의 벡터제어

        This paper is described a method which performs an on-line minimization of the inverter switching sequence. Input quantities of a Digital Signal Processor are the stator current vector components and angular frequency of rotor. These are used to control the current vector trajectory in the complex plane such that a minimum spatial error with respect to the reference vector is maintained. A predictive algorithm is implemented in the switching frequency of PWM inverter system. The optimization is effective under all operating conditions including transients and steady-stated. Also, this predictive control implemented a Digital Signal Processor is proposed for the application of real time control with the Induction Motor.

        한국어판 병동매일행동척도 개발

        Objectives : Patient's behavior features are important factors which influences the clinical judgement including diagnosis. However, most psychiatrists build up a picture of patients' behavior from an amalgamation of their own brief observations and nurses' reports, which often lack in the objectiveness. Several behavioral scales have been developed to alleviate this difficulty, but the poor efficiency and reliability of these scales have made them less useful. The recently developed Ward Daily Behavior Scale is an objective tool for evaluating all the daily noteworthy behaviors of patients, and is easily applicable to wide ranges of diagnoses and ages. This study tried to prove the reliability and validity of the Ward Daily Behavior Scale-Korean version. Methods : The 112 patients, 63 males and 49 females, at a chronic psychiatric inpatient ward were selected as subjects. Experienced and unexperienced nurses rated patients' behaviors independently with the Ward Daily Behavior Scale-Korean version, after observing behaviors of subjects for 8 hours during day duty time. And then we tested the inter-rater reliability, internal consistency, and concurrent validity of this scale. Results : The Ward Daily Behavior Scale-Korean version proved to be both reliable and valid for measuring of behaviors of psychiatric inpatients. Conclusions : The Ward Daily Behavior Scale-Korean version will be a valuable tool to observe and quantify patients' behavior in psychiatric wards.

        The authors in the Dept. of Oral & Maxillo-facial Surgery.J.N.U Hospital could have the following results after treatment of eight mandibular fractures patients with the E.C.T.(European Compression Technic)System. 1. Accurate reduction of the fractured bone. 2. Minimization of the soft tissue injury during operations. 3. No post-operative intermaxillary fixation was necessary. 4. Good recovery of the occlusion.

        화재대피용 방독마스크 정화통 적용을 위한 Co₃O₄/γ-Al₂O₃ 촉매 특성 연구

        Co₃O₄/γ-Al₂O₃ catalysts were reported high activity on the low temperature CO oxidation. The effects of the calcination temperature, the loaded amount of cobalt and the oxygen concentration on the characteristics of CO oxidation have been investigated for a emergency escape mask cartridge. Co(NO₃)₂·6H₂O was used as cobalt precursor and the catalysts were prepared by incipient wetness impregnation. TGA shows that enough calcination is accomplished at 450℃ and cobalt phase is Co₃O₄ after calcination in the temperature range of 300~500℃. The specific surface area and pore volume of catalysts are decreased with increasing of loaded amount of cobalt. And with the increase of loaded amount of cobalt and the oxygen concentration, the catalytic activity is increased.

      • 한국개비자(Cephalotaxus koreana)의 Harringtonine 과 Homoharringtonine에 관한 연구

        한국산 개비자로부터 alkaloid계통의 성분인 harringtonine과 homoharringtonine의 혼합물을 추출하여 한국산 개비자의 잎, 줄기, 뿌리에서의 harringtonine과 homoharringtonine의 함량은 고속 액체 크래마토그래피에 의해 결정하였다. 두물질의 함량은 서식지, 식물의 부위에 따라 상이하였다. Harringtonine의 함량은 줄기보다 잎과 뿌리에서 높았고, homoharringtonine의 함량은 harringtonin 함량보다 낮았다. 팔공산, 덕유산, 백양산, 지리산 및 남해에서의 잎의 homoharringtonine 함량은 줄기와 뿌리에서 높게 나왔으며, 조계산과 진도에서는 잎의 함량이 뿌리와 줄기에서 보다 낮았다. Harringtonine and homoharringtonine known as anti-cancer agents were isolated from Korean native plumyew (Cephalotaxus koreana). The contents of harringtonine and homoharringtonine in the needles, stems, and roots of Korean native plumyew were determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The contents of both compounds varied with the site of location and the part of plant. The content of harringtonine was higher in needles and roots than in stems, whereas the content of homoharringtonine was lower than harringtonine. Homoharringtonine contents in needles at Mt. Palgong, Mt. Dukyu, Mt. Baekyang, Mt. Jiri, and Namhae were higher than in stems and roots. But homoharringtonine contents in needles at Mt. Jokye and Jindo were lower than in stems and roots.

        The effect of shift work on high sensitivity C-reactive protein level among female workers

        Background: This study assessed the association between shift work and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) level, a risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD), in female workers in electronics manufacturing services (EMS). Methods: Female EMS workers who received special medical examinations for workers in Gyeongnam, Korea between January 2017 and December 2017 were enrolled in this study. Their age, marital status, education level, alcohol consumption, smoking habit, regular exercise, quality of sleep, work stress, and depression were investigated, and blood tests were conducted. The t- and χ2 tests were conducted to compare the general and biochemical characteristics between daytime and shift worker groups. Age-adjusted partial correlation analysis was performed to examine the linear relationship between hs-CRP level and other risk factors for CVDs. In addition, the difference in hs-CRP levels according to work schedule was analyzed by ANCOVA after adjusting for variables that could affect the hs-CRP level. Results: Although the average hs-CRP levels did not differ significantly between daytime and shift workers (0.92 ± 1.87 and 1.07 ± 2.20 mg/dL, respectively), shift workers tended to show a higher hs-CRP level (p = 0.067). After adjusting for variables that can affect the hs-CRP level, the estimated average hs-CRP level was significantly higher in shift workers (1.325 ± 0.156 mg/dL) than that in daytime workers (0.652 ± 0.350 mg/dL) (p = 0.003). Conclusions: The results of this study identified a relationship between shift work and hs-CRP level increase in women. Because multiple studies have reported associations between increased hs-CRP and CVD, follow-up of hs-CRP may help early detection of CVD in shift workers.
