Ⅰ. 서 론 Ⅱ. 실험재료 및 방법 Ⅲ. 실험성적 Ⅳ. 총괄 및 고안 Ⅴ. 결 론 참고문헌 영문초록 The purpose of this paper was to study the effects of delayed condensation of dental amalgams on the residual mercury content and creep. In this study, seven kinds of conventional lathe cut alloys, four of which were manufactured in Korea, and six kinds of high copper amalgam alloys, one of which was manufactured in Korea were used. The cylinderical specimens of 4 mm in diameter and about 8 mm in length were prepared according to K.D.A. specification No. 4 and manufacturers' recommendations. Time intervals between the end of trituration and beginning of condensation were divided into 30 seconds, 2 minutes, 4 minutes, 6 minutes, and the prepared specimens were stored in water for seven days at 37 ℃. The creep rates of each specimens were determined by applying 36 Mpa load with compression tester. From the experiments the following results were obtained: 1. In all studied amalgams, the residual mercury contents were increased by delayed condensation. 2. As the residual mercury contents increased, the creep rates were also increased. 3. The creep rates of the conventional amalgams were higher than that of the high copper amalgams. 4. The creep rates of conventional amalgams exceeded the 3.0% limit set by K.D.A.Specification, even though they were condensed within 30 seconde after trituration. 5. In high copper amalgams the creep rates did not exceed 3.0% although the condensation was delayed after trituration except two kinds of amalgams.

The depressive patients can be divided into two subgroups by presence and absence of pain symptoms. Those without pain symptoms have blunted pain sensitivity whereas those with pain have normal range of pain sensitivity, and are clinically characterized by anxiety and irritability. The aim of the study is to test if these clinical profiles of the depressives with pain symptoms are related with reduced level of brain serotonin(5-HT). Forty four mice were randomly divided into two groups : one group to be bred with tryptophan free diet and the other with normal control diet, each for 4 weeks. Before the beginning of the breeding period, measured were locomotor activity by open field test, anxiety by elevated plus maze and nociceptive sensitivity by tail flick test, before and after forced swimming(FS). During each FS, duration of immobilization was also measured. The sable sets of measurements were repeated at the end of the breeding period. The brain 5-HT and 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid(5-HIAA) were measured by high performance liquid chromatography. The results were as follows 1.Four weeks of tryptophan free diet reduced significantly body weight, brain weight, and levels of 5-HT and 5-HIAA in the whole brain. 2.Tryptophan depletion did not influence basal nociceptive sensitivity as measured by tail flick latency before FS. The normal blunting of the pain sensitivity induced by forced swimming was preserved in the tryptophan depleted group. 3.Tryptophan depletion did not influence general locomotor activity in open field. 4.Tryptophan depletion increased significantly time spent on the open arms at the elevated plus maze test done before FS. This anxiolytic-like effect was reduced by FS. 5.Tryptophan depletion did not influence duration of immobilization during FS. From these results, it is suggested that the genesis of the depression with pain symptoms is not medicated by quantitative reduction of brain serotonin

The present study was designed to clarify whether scuba diving at 5 meters of seawater influences cerebral hemodynamics, hematological and biochemical variables. Twenty healthy young men well trained scuba diving participated in this study. The blood flow velocity in the right and left middle cerebral arteries (L-MCAV and R-MCAV), blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR), CBC and differential count, prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT), biochemical variables, D-dimer and interleukin-8 (IL-8) levels were determined before, immediately after scuba diving for 30 min, and after 30 min of rest (Pre-scuba, Scuba and R-30m, respectively). L-MCAV and R-MCAV tended to increase, but the only significant increase was in L-MCAV in Scuba. SBP and HR significantly declined in R-30m compared with those of Pre-scuba and the Scuba. IL-8 levels were elevated in Scuba and R-30m compared with that of Pre-scuba. In Scuba and R-30m, hematological variables except PT and biochemical parameters excluding glucose and lactic acid did not significantly changed in comparison with those of Pre-scuba. PT level at Scuba and glucose level at R-30m significantly declined in Scuba, while lactate level at R-30m increased compared with each in Pre-scuba. However, PT level at Scuba was within a normal range. These results suggest that scuba diving at 5 m of seawater for 30 min has no adverse effects, is safe and useful for improving health. However, further study must be performed to clarify the mechanism of elevated IL-8 level following scuba diving.

The optimum synthesis conditions for carbon nanotube (CNT) fibers were investigated using the Design of Experiment (DOE) technique. Direct spinning processes are governed by a variety of experimental factors: the methane flow rate, ferrocene flow rate, sulfur flow rate, hydrogen flow rate, water flow rate, and reaction temperature. The process was optimized in two stages that addressed first the Fractional Factorial Design (FFD) and then the Response Surface Methodology (RSM). Results from each experiment were classified according to a 6-step rating system: nothing(1), black gas(2), dust(3), ribbon or film(4), fiber(5), or continuous fiber(6). In the first step, three major factors (methane, sulfur, temperature) were identified as important among the six experimental factors tested using FFD. The effects of the major factors and the interactions were analyzed through the main effect plot and the interaction plot. In the second step, the experimental conditions were optimized using a model equation derived from Box-Behnken design experiments. Finally, the CNT fibers were continuously synthesized under the optimum conditions. The synthesized CNT fibers mainly consisted of single-walled CNTs (SWCNTs) 1.2 -3.8 nm in diameter. The I-G/I-D ratio of the CNT fibers was 48. This work provides a useful methodology for synthesizing the CNT fibers. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Crude synaptic membrane fractions from the frontal cortex, striatum, brain stem and whole brain of rat were prepared to assay the effects of ginseng total saponin (GTS) on [$^3$H]DAGO bindings of the opioid $\mu$-receptors. Scatchard plots analysis binding data demonstrated that GTS (0.1 mg/ml) decreased the affinity of specific [$^3$H]DAGO bindings without changes in B$\_$max/ in the frontal cortex and striatum. On the other hand, GTS did not affect the [$^3$H]DAGO bindings iii the brain stem and whole brain. These results suggest that the regulation of [$^3$H]DAGO bindings by GTS may play roles in the change of the pharmacological responses of $\mu$-opioids.

Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) is widely used in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinomas. We report a case of multiple liver abscess with bile duct necrosis following gallbladder infarction after TACE in a patient with hepatocellular carcinoma. A 62- year old man, wit h four cm sized hepatocellular carcinoma in right lobe, was treat ed by TACE for six times during 18 months. Two days after the last TACE, acute cholecystitis occurred and antibiotics were used until the recovery of cholecystitis. After two months, abdominal CT scan revealed a gas containing liver abscess and percutaneous transhepatic drainage was performed. Cholangiography via drainage cathet er showed findings of bile duct necrosis. Ant ibiotics sensit ive to the causative organism were administered intravenously. However, the abscess persisted despite of treatment for three mont hs. (Korean J Hepatol 1999;5:348-352)
