This article aims to analyze the philosophical themes of hayy b. Yaq Zan, which is considered the first Arabic philosophical novel written by Ibn Tufail(1105~1185), a Muslim philosopher and physician in early 12th century Islamic Spain. hayy b. Yaq Zan occupies an important position in the world history of philosophy and literature, because it is one of the first works that used a fictional narrative for the treatment of philosophical themes. hayy b. Yaq Zan tells the story of a man, a self-taught philosopher of perfect intelligence, growing up on an equatorial island without parents, language or culture, who discovers for himself all phases of knowledge, from the technical and physical to the spiritual truths underlying scriptural religions. A significant feature of this philosophical novel is the attempt to show that humans are endowed with reason and free will. In this novel, hayy, who lives on a desert island, has no family, no religion, no history and no religion. In spite of these circumstances, he learns how to be self-sufficient. Reason, which has been bestowed upon him, helps him to learn everything himself. Finally hayy comes to attain metaphysical truth including the heavenly bodies and the Mover of the Universe, without any help of teachers, prophets and religious institutions. On the other hand, this novel makes two attempts to make the harmony between philosophy and religion. Firstly, it deals with the problem of the eternity or creation of the world. For centuries, Muslim theologians such as al-Ghazali criticised philosophers of insisting on the eternity of the world. In this novel, hayy tries to settle this problem by saying that the eternity of the world dose not deny the existence of the creator. Secondly, it tries to show that the teachings of reason and revelation are ultimately the same. In the latter part of the novel, hayy learns to speak and knows the religious teaching of the human society from his friend Asal, who visited the island. Through conversations both men realized that the teachings of prophets are mere representations in sensible terms of the spiritual realties hayy perceived on his own. Ibn Tufail`s Hayy b. Yaq Zan had a significant influence on Arabic literature and European literature after it was translated in the 15th century into Latin and then into several other European languages. In the 13th century, hayy b. Yaq Zan inspired Ibn al-Nafis to write the first theological novel, Al-Risalah al-Kamiliyyah fil Sira al-Nabawiyyah. This novel was written as a critical response to hayy b. Yaqzan. In 1719, one of the English translations of hayy b. Yaq zan inspired Daniel Defoe to write Robinson Crusoe, which was also set on a deserted island and was regarded as one of the first novels in English.
중학생의 학업스트레스와 학업열의의 관계에서 지각된 사회적지지와 기본심리욕구의 순차적 매개효과

This study aims to examine the sequential mediating effects of perceived social support and basic psychological needs in the relationship between academic stress and academic engagement among middle school students. Data from 323 students were analyzed using SPSS 28.0 and PROCESS macro 4.0. The results showed that perceived social support and basic psychological needs each partially mediated the relationship between academic stress and academic engagement. A significant sequential mediating effect was found, such that higher academic stress was associated with lower perceived social support, reduced basic psychological needs, and lower academic engagement. These findings emphasize the role of social support and basic psychological needs in academic engagement. 본 연구는 중학생의 학업스트레스와 학업열의 간의 관계에서 지각된 사회적지지와 기본심리욕구의 순차적 매개효과를 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 중학생 323명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, SPSS 28.0과 PROCESS macro 4.0을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 학업스트레스와 학업열의 간의 관계에서 지각된 사회적지지는 부분 매개효과를 보였다. 둘째, 기본심리욕구 역시 학업스트레스와 학업열의 간의 관계를 부분적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학업스트레스와 학업열의 간의 관계에서 지각된 사회적지지와 기본심리욕구의 순차적 매개효과가 통계적으로 유의미하게 확인되었다. 즉, 학업스트레스 수준이 높을수록 청소년은 사회적지지를 낮게 인식하는 경향을 보였으며, 이러한 인식은 기본심리욕구 충족 수준과 부적으로 관련되고, 결과적으로 학업열의 수준과도 부적인 관련성을 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 학업스트레스와 학업열의 간의 관계를 이해하는 데 있어 청소년이 지각하는 사회적지지 환경과 기본심리욕구 충족을 함께 고려할 필요성을 시사한다.
음악극 경험을 통해 나타나는 유아들의 음악적 반응 변화

본 연구는 유아들이 음악극을 경험을 통해 나타나는 음악적 반응의 변화를 살펴보고 그 의미를 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 2009년 3월부터 7월까지 약 5개월 동안 20명으로 구성된 만 5세 한 반을 대상으로 주 2~3회에 걸쳐 총 37회의 참여관찰을 실시하였다. 교사교육을 병행한 참여관찰, 면담, 참여자와 연구자의 저널, e-mail, 녹음 및 녹화, 사진, 문서자료 등을 이용하여 자료를 수집하고 전사한 뒤 이를 분석하였다. 그 결과 음악적 반응은 감각적 반응, 창조적 반응, 내면적 반응의 범주로 나타났다. This study is for the change of musical response of young children on empirical process of music drama and for Participatory observation has come into effect in with teaching education 2-3 times a week, for about 5 months from May to July, 2009. The research method is to collect data from participatory observation, interviews, journals of participant and researchers, e-mail, voice and movie recordings, photos, documents and to analyze them. These are the observed results according to the above three definitions – sensible response, creative response, internal response. The results above indicate the evidence that musical environment offered to the young children was internalized in their lives. In conclusion, these musical responses gave the macroscopic mean that they enjoy music if there is music, that they enjoy the music from their internal mind if there is not any music, and that the of young children therefore will be filled with music.

The author reported 2 cases of schizophrenia anteceded mainly by clinical pictures of hysterical neurosis bofore more apparent pictures of full blown schizophrenia emerged, by describing their symptomatology, course of illness, life histories, psychological test results and other laboratory data. Focussing upon points of differentiation between simple hysteria and unnsual hysteria developing eventually into schizophrenia, the followings were observed in the reported cases; a. Pan-neurotic or mixed syndrome like pictures of predominantly hysterical symptoms together with overtly manifested anxiety, obsessive-compulsive tendencies and depression. b. Aggravation of intensity and diffusion of distribution of the somatic symptoms, finally becoming generalized and unbearable. c. Somehow bizarre ways of complaining their somatic symptoms. d. Obscure and vague precipitating events and factors. e. Schizophrenogenic possiblities of the personalities of the parents during patient's infanthood and/or childhood. f. Co-existence of schizoid and compulsive personalities prior to the emergence of hysterical tendency and continuous failure of all the defenses that the patients resorted to. g. Several differential points in the psychological test results. The author does not deem any one of the above findings as providing any evidence, but when all or many of them are observed, he does expect the hysterical symptoms to develope into schizophrenia.
