        For the purpose of preparing the basic data evaluate health status and to improve health levels of the community, authors analyzed the motality pattern with subject of 15,492 certified deaths and 16,975 certified deaths of Pusan city from January to December 31, 1991 and 1996 registred on the National Statistical office to Korea. 1. The total numbers of certified deaths were 15,492(1991Yr) and 16,975(1996yr), and they were corresponded to 7.7%(199,673 deaths) in 1991, and 7.2% in 1996(236,234 deaths). 2. Crude death rate were 4.1(M:5.0, F:3.4) in 1991 and 4.7(M:5.7, F:3.7) in 1996, and These were lower than the Crude death rate 4.5(1991) and 5.3(1996) of whole country. 3. Leading five cause of deaths were in order of cancer(22.6%), cerebrovascular disease(13.3%), heart disease(11.3%), accident(8.9%), Liver disease(7.0%) in 1991. The relative frequency of leading five disease among total deaths marked 67.2% in 1991 and 65.8% in 1996, and cancer(24.6%), cerebrovascular disease(16.3%). heart disease(11.3%), accident(8.0%), Liver disease(5.6%) in 1996. 4. The major disease in male was cancer(24.4%), cerebrovascular disease(14.1%),accident(11.5%), Liver disease(9.5%), heart disease(9.3%) in 1991. And cancer(27.2%), cerebrovascular disease(14.1%), accident(10.8%), heart disease(10.8%), Liver disease(7.9%) in 1996. The relative frequency of leading five diseases among total deaths marked 68.8% in 1991 and 70.8% in 1996. 5. The major disease in female was cerebrovascular disease(21.9%), cancer(20.1%), heart disease(14.1%), accident(5.3%), diabetes(3.5%) in 1991. And cancer(21.1%) cerebrovascular disease(19.1%), heart disease(11.9%), accident(4.4%), liver disease(2.7%) in 1996. The relative frequency of leading five diseases among total deaths marked 64.7% in 1991 and 59.2% in 1996. 6. Specific death rate per 100,000 populations in leading five disease was cancer(93.7), cerebrovascular disease(71.9), heart disease(46.7), accident(36.8), Liver disease(29.4) in 1991, and cancer(109.4), cerebrovascular disease(72.7), heart disease(50.2), accident(35.7), Liver disease(25.0) in 1996. 7. The first of deaths by cancer was liver cancer of Pusan city in 1991 and 1996, but the first of deaths by cancer was stomach cancer in 1991 and 1996 of whole country.

      • 한반도 지진에 대한 원인 및 대처방안

        지진안전지대라고 불려왔던 한반도에 최근 지진이 자주 발생하여 전례없는 인적·물적 피해가 발생하였 다. 이는 3층 미만의 건축물에 대해서는 내진설계가 되어있지 않고, 일부 전문가 및 단체를 제외하고는 지진에 대한 심각성 및 대피요령에 대해서 숙지하지 못하고 있어 피해가 가중된 것으로 사료된다. 이상과 같이 국민 대부분이 대피요령이나 생존법, 비상물자 등을 인지하지 못하고, 각종 필요한 지진대비 교육이 없는 실정이다. 따라서 지진에 대해서 준비가 전무했던 우리가 이제 지진에 대해 정확한 실체와 원인을 알아보고 준비와 대책을 세워야 할 시점이라 사료된다. 본 연구에서는 빈번하게 발생하는 한반도 지진에 대하여 원인에 대해서 조사하고 우리정부와 지자체, 민간 단체, 언론 및 개인의 대처방안에 대해서 체계적으로 정리하고자 한다. The recent earthquakes in the peninsula ve called safe areas prone to earthquakes occurred the unprecedented human and material damage. It does not have the seismic design of buildings for less than three layers, with the exception of some experts and organizations, and it does not have to read about the seriousness and evacuation tips for earthquake damage is thought to have been weighted. As mentioned above, most people are unaware of the evacuation tips or saengjonbeop, emergency supplies, such as earthquakes compared to a situation without the various needs education. So we were prepared for an earthquake is now managing investigate the cause and correct entities for the earthquake is considered as the time to prepare and formulate a policy. In this study, we investigated the cause to frequent earthquakes with respect to the Korean Peninsula and to organize for our government and local governments, NGOs, the media and individuals on how to proceed.

        경골 및 비골 간부 동반 골절에서 비골 고정이 미치는 영향

        Many authors have been discussed effects of fibular stabilization in the healing of the tibiofibular shaft fracture. A-O group recommand fixation of the fibular shaft fracture in treatment of tibio-fibula shaft fracture with rationale of more stability of tibial fracture site and anatomical restoration of tibio-fibula relationship and so better effect on ankle motion. The purpose of this study is to indentify the effect of fibula stabilazation on reduction state of tibial fracture site, change in ankle mortise and healing period of tibial fracture site. Authors performed fibula stabilization with 1/3 plate and screws in 8 cases of tibio-fibula shaft fracture and compare with 40 cases of tibio-fibula fracture without fibula stabilization in point of above mentioned three effects. The results were as follows. l. 0/R & I/F of the fibular fracture, had no effect on the reduction state of the tibial shaft fracture site but it was somewhat helpful to restoration of the ankle mortise owing to the restoration of the fibular length. 2. There were no significant differences in the weight bearing time and the union time of the tibial fracture between two groups. 3. We experienced 2 cases of implant failure on the fibular fixation site, due to shortening of the tibial fracture site and overloading of the fibular fixation site. In these 2 cases, ankle pain was debeloped before the implant-failure. From the above result, we suggest that fibula stabilization have no benefit in treatment of tibio-fibular shaft fracture.
