This paper presents the fabrication method of a micro-riblet film (MRF) using MEMS technology and the experimental results of the drag reduction of an airfoil with MRFs. Riblets having grooved surface in the streamwise direction has been proven as an effective passive control technique of the drag reduction. A V-grooved pattern on (100) silicon wafer is etched with anisotropic bulk micromachining. The MRF is completed by replicating the V-grooved pattern with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). Experiments were performed by measuring a velocity field behind the trailing edge of a NACA 0012 airfoil with and without MRFs in a closed-type subsonic wind tunnel using particle image velocimetry (PlV) technique. The MRF provides about 3.8 % drag reduction compared to the drag on a smooth airfoil when the freestream velocity of wind tunnel is 3.3 m/s.
한국의 토지공급관련 정책변화가 주택시장에 미치는 영향분석

This paper aims to examine what extent government policy measures related to land have influenced on the stabilization of housing prices in Korea. For the purpose, first, a qualitative analysis on the changes of land policy measures in the mid-1990s and mid-2000s and their implications for the stability of land and housing market in Korea was carried out. Then a quantitative analysis mobilizing multiple-regression and correlation analysis with time series data representing internal factors of housing market led by land supply, demographic and household factors and macro-economic factors was conducted. The integration of these analyses was thought to provide informations to figure out the factors which have significant influence on the changes of housing prices. The result of analyses showed that, firstly, the completion of legal and institutional systems related to land supply in the mid-1990s has contributed to the housing price stability and, secondly, since then the influence of demographic and macro-economic factors has increased instead of the massive supply of lands in new towns, etc. in stabilizing housing prices. This result implies that specified strategies are necessary for the balance between the housings supplied in newly developed residential sites and those in redevelopment and reconstruction sites inside of cities.
토지 및 주택시장 안정에 대한 공영개발사업의 기여도 평가

This paper is to assess the contribution of Publicly Managed Land Development (PMD) project for the stabilization of land and housing market. PMD project was introduced in Korea in 1980 to conduct large-scaled land development by public sectors, contrary to land pooling program which is conducted by private landowners. During the last 30 years from 1980 to 2012, total 1,022.4㎢ of housing land was supplied, 38.2% of which was supplied through PMD projects. Total 9.36 million units of new housings were provided, 41.5% of which were supplied through PMD projects. PMD projects provided total 3 million units of mid- and low-income household’s housing and 1.28 million units of low-income rental housing. Land for midand low-income housing was supplied with 60%~100% of development costs, much lower than market prices. Thanks to PMD projects, urban land ratio has increased from 4% in 1975 to 9.3% of total national land in 2010; housing supply ratio has been improved from 71.2% in 1980 to 112.9% in 2010; public rental housing ratio has been enhanced from 1.3% in 1985 to 9.5% in 2010. Finally, as urban land and housing supply increased, land and housing market become stabilized and housing welfare become upgraded.

Prediction of warpage and residual stress in semiconductor chip devices play an important role in chip design. However, there are a few uncertainties in warpage prediction due to unknown patterning material properties, and moisture effect on polymer film. To estimate patterning material properties, we adopt a composite plate analysis and experimental techniques. and measure the warpage of chip after drying at about 250℃ for 30min to remove moisture. In 100㎛, 80㎛ chip cases, finite element analysis result shows a good agreement with measured values, but for 50㎛ and 60㎛ chip cases, there exist a substantial deviation from the measured values due to local deformation from imperfection and defects inherently embedded in the patterning layer and nonuniform bonding between PIcoating and silicon.

This study was performed to analyse the concentration of odorous compounds in the piggeries. Piggeries for different types of pigs include piglets, growing pigs, gestating and lactating sows. Slurry from these piggeries was sampled every month for chemical analysis. Short chain fatty acid (SCFA) was 9,862 ppm (piglet), 8,410 ppm (growing pigs), 6,791 ppm (fattening pigs), 3,508 ppm (lactating sows) and 1,687 ppm (gestating sows). Branched chain fatty acid (BCFA) was 1,634 ppm (piglet), 1,206 ppm (growing pigs), 868 ppm (fattening pigs), 493 ppm (lactating sows) and 185 ppm (gestating sows). Concentration of phenols was 209 ppm (piglet), 166 ppm (growing pigs), 127 ppm (fattening pigs), 85 ppm (lactating sows) and 36 ppm (gestating sows). Indoles was 18 ppm (piglet), 14 ppm (growing pigs), 8 ppm (fattening pigs), 6 ppm (lactating sows) and 4 ppm (gestating sows). Altogether, concentration of odorous compounds was decreased as pigs got aged.

In this experiment, we hypothesized that pre-conditioning pig manure with microwave radiation can effectively eliminate moisture and consequently, cut down a need for expensive sawdust. For the experiment, pig manure/sawdust mixture of water content 79% was divided into 4 groups and each of them were treated with microwave for predetermined time periods, 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes. Subsequently, they were transferred to chambers (20 L) and aerobically composted. During the 2 weeks composting, air was supplied using blower (150 L per $1m^3$) and temperature and other variables were monitored continuously. When the data were analyzed, it was found, (1) moisture content was significantly decreased as radiation period extended. (2) weight reduction of compost after completion of composting was noticeably bigger in 15 min radiated group(31%), compared with 5 min (24.6%), 10 min (21.4%), 20 min (27.2%) radiated groups.

The effects of successive increase of postnatal ages on the adrenal cortex from the normal albino mouse have been investigated by means of the microradioautographic technique after the intraperitoneal administration of single dose of 0.8 microcurie/mg of body weight of tritiated thymidine. Sixty-eight mice(of which 29 were male and the rest of them were 39 of female) were put into six age groups. The age range was from 4-day old suckling to the age more than 50-week old of mature adult. Each of the mice was sacrificed at 120 minutes after the administration of the radioactive i s6lope, and the stripping film method was adopted after the histological preparation of three micra section from the adrenal gland tissue. The microslides were stained with Ehrlich's acid haematoxylin after 28 days exposure in room temperature. 1. Regardless the sex,. high cell renewal frequencies from the suckling young age groups except the 3 week old group were contrasted with those of the adult groups of low. 2. Of the suckling young, successive increase of the postnatal age was induced decrease of the cell renewal frequencies of the fascicular zone. This fact was reversed in their glomerular zone. 3. Of the adult male, decrease of the cell renewal rates of the glomerular zone with increase of the postnatal age were accompanied by concommitant increase of those in their reticular zone. 4. It appears to be that the adrenocortical cell renewal frequencies were modified by the sex hormones through both the ovarian cyclic change and related postnatal ages. 5. The lowest cell renewal rate in the 3-week old group suggests further detection is needed.
