Oligomeric epoxy or urethane acrylate was mixed with monomer, photo-initiator and crosslinker to prepare UV-curable resins for applications as a protection layer to cutting process of tempered glass. Physical properties of cured films such as hardness, transparency and thermal property were investigated with compositions of the UV-curable resins. Effects of inorganic additives such as calcium carbonate and talc on the hardness will also be reported.
RFIC를 위한 실리콘 기판에서의 고품질 본드와이어 인덕터 구현

Today, because a quality factor of the inductor fabricated on silicon substrate for RFIC is under 12, the realization of inductor haying high-Q is essential. In this paper, two inductors having improved Q-factor are proposed and fabricated using a bondwire on silicon substrate. Also for the PGS is applied to the same inductors, four inductors are fabricated finally The bondwire Inductors have the relatively low conductor loss due to wide cross-section area and they can reduce the parastic capacitance very much because they are located in the air. Simulation and measurement results show that the proposed inductors have much more improved Q-factor, 15, than a conventional spiral inductor at 1.5 GHz. Because of the use of an automatic bonding machine, we can fabricate the high - Q inductors very easily, repeatedly. 현재 RFIC를 위해 실리콘 기판상에 구현되는 인덕터의 Q 값은 12 이하로 알려져있기 때문에, 고성능 회로설계를 위해서는 더욱 높은 Q 값을 갖는 인덕터의 구현이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 본드와이어를 이용하여 높은 Q 값을 가지는 두 개의 인덕터를 제안하였고, 동일한 인덕터에 PGS를 적용하여 총 4가지 형태의 인덕터를 구현하였다. 제안된 본드와이어 인덕터는 일반적인 금속선로보다 넓은 단면적 때문에 상대적으로 작은 도체 손실을 갖고, 인덕터의 상당부분이 공기 중에 위치하므로 기생 캐패시턴스 성분을 줄일 수 있다. 해석 및 측정결과 1.5 GHz 에서 기존의 나선형 인덕터보다 상당히 개선된 15이상의 Q 값을 가짐을 확인하였다. 또한 자동 본딩 머신을 사용하여 구현하기 때문에, 동일한 형태의 인덕터를 반복적으로 쉽게 만들 수 있다.
2P-518 Fabrication of ZnO μ-rods and photovoltaic properties of solar cells with them

ZnO microrods with a thickness of about 8 ~ 18 μm have been prepared by chemical bath deposition technique for applications to photoelectrodes of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). With increasing the thickness of ZnO microrods, the open circuit voltage (Voc) values of the DSSCs were increased, but a decrease in the short circuit current (Jsc) was observed in over 8hr of dipping time in zinc nitrate solution. By monitoring changes in dark current and electrochemical impedance, it was revealed that the increase in Voc was attributed to the suppression of the charge recombination between injected electrons and I<sub>3</sub><sup>-</sup> ions, probably due to an reduction in the surface area of ZnO microrods. This reduction of the surface area would lead to a decrement of dye contents adsorbed on ZnO microrods, resulting in the decreased Jsc value.

Purpose Some recent studies on bendable sensors havereported the reduction of distortion in X-ray shots caused bythe patient’s physical structure. In the field of diagnosticradiology, images are nowadays captured using flat paneldetectors, but it is difficult to take the geometrical body typeand physical characteristics of patients into considerationwith flat panels; this may distort images. This studyevaluates the bending and electrical properties of bottomelectrode-based sensors with bending capability. Methods This study evaluates the bending and electricalproperties of bottom electrode-based sensors with aluminium,copper, and indium tin oxide films. These sensors are fabricated,and their performance concerning bending resistance, sensitivity,and signal-to-noise ratio are evaluated and compared with areference sensor. Results These sensors are shown to provide similar results tothe reference sensor in what concerns the cubic functionality(of approx. 99%) of their response to tube voltage variations. The Al film-based sensor shows he lowest SNR value; theCu film shows excellent sensitivity, but with a slightly highdark current, resulting in a low SNR value. Conclusions Bendable detectors are possible solutions tomitigate the distortion in X-rays obtained with flat paneldetector. The results of this study can potentially be used asbasic research to support the next-generation bendabledetectors, and thus improve these distortions, caused by theX-ray patient’s physical structure.
