The effects of welding speed were investigated on penetration characteristics, defects and mechanical properties including formability test in Nd:YAG laser welded 1000MPa grade DP steels. A shielding gas was not used and bead-on-plate welding was performed with various welding speeds at 3.5kW laser power. Defects of surface and inner beads were not observed in all welding speeds. As the welding speed increased, the weld cross-section varied from the trapezoid having wider bottom bead, through X type, finally to V type in partial penetration range of welding speeds. The characteristic of hardness distribution was also investigated. The center of HAZ had maximum hardness, followed by a slight decrease of hardness as approaching to FZ. Significant softening occurred at the HAZ near BM. Regardless of the welding speed, the weld showed approximately the same hardness distribution. In the perpendicular tensile test with respect to the weld direction, all specimens were fractured at the softening zone. In the parallel tensile test to the weld direction, the first crack occurred at weld center and then propagated into the weld. Good formability over 80% was taken for all welding conditions.

This study examines whether engine fuel efficiency is improved by optimization of the exhaust valve timing in a state where the intake valve timing has been optimized in a small turbo gasoline engine that has intake cams and exhaust cams with fixed valve opening periods. When the exhaust valve is opened late, the expansion stroke is longer, and the efficiency can be improved. A 2-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with 0.8 liters of displacement and an MPI (Multi Point Injection) fuel system was used. The engine was operated at 1,500 and 3,000 rpm, and the load conditions included a partial load of 50 N·m and a high load of 70 N·m. Data was recorded as the exhaust valve timing was controlled, and this was used to calculate the efficiency of combustion using a heat release, the fuel conversion efficiency, and the pumping loss. Results and the hydrocarbon concentrations in the exhaust gas were compared for each condition. Experiment results confirmed that additional fuel efficiency improvements are possible through exhaust valve timing control at 1,500 rpm and 50 N·m. However, in other operating conditions, fuel efficiency improvements could not be obtained through exhaust valve timing control because cases where the pumping loss and fuel/air mixture slip increased when the exhaust valve timing changed and the fuel efficiency declined.
대형 디젤 엔진에서 HP EGR을 이용한 저온연소 가능성에 대한 연구

In this study, the feasibility study of low-temperature combustion using high-pressure exhaust gas recirculation (HP EGR) without modification was evaluated in heavy-duty diesel engine. Test engine has six cylinders was equipped with HP-EGR, variable turbine geometry (VTG) and high-pressure common rail injection system. 1400 and 1800 rpm with 20% and 40% of maximum injection quantity were selected as a test condition due to maximum torque and rated power engine speed respectively. At the same time, EGR valve duty, VTG duty and injection timing were varied to examine the effect of those parameters on engine performance. Especially, EGR valve duty was set over 50% to supply enough EGR. To find the advantage of LTC with HP-EGR, results were compared with those from ECU based operation. EGR rate was increased under higher duty of EGR valve operation. Nitrogen oxide and smoke emissions, which were chronic problem of diesel engine, were reduced by early and higher EGR rate. And also, hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emissions were decreased a little at some cases. Increasing hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emissions were considered as side effect of low temperature combustion in diesel engine due to lower combustion temperature. However, in this study, EGR rate was not reached over 60%, which was known as EGR rate for low temperature combustion, with present HP EGR system. Therefore, test engine needs to modify EGR system or install the additional system for increasing EGR rate such as LP EGR system.
췌관내유두상점액종과 췌장 점액성낭종의 감별을 위한 분자생물학적 지표의 탐색

Purpose: Although intraductal papillary mucinous tumor (IPMT) and mucionus cystic tumor (MCT) share many common features, they are 2 clinically different disease entities. The aims of this study were to compare the clinicopathological characteristics of IPMT and MCT and to find molecular markers for making the differential diagnosis between IPMT and MCT Methods: Forty-one patients with IPMT and 29 MCT patients who all underwent resection between 1994 and 2003 were enrolled in this study. After one gastrointestinal pathologist reviewed the pathological slides, we compared the clinico-pathological features of the two diseases. Immunohistochemical staining with using 17 biological markers was performed to find useful molecular markers for making the differential diagnosis. Results: Besides the clinical features like gender, the tumor size and location, the patient’s age and the radiological images, we found differences of the expressions of PR(p<0.001), ER(p<0.001), MUC2(p=0.038) and MUC5A(p=0.001) between IPMT and MCT. Conclusion: PR, ER, MUC2 and MUC5A can be useful in making the final differential diagnosis between IPMT and MCT. Considering the different gene expressions, further studies are needed to clarify the different pathogenesis of these two diseases entities.
해장(海藏) 신석우(申錫愚) 문학의 지방지적(地方誌的) 성격 -지방관 재임기 작품을 중심으로-

한문학에 있어 19세기 중반기는 17∼18세기에 이룩된 성취에 가려 충분한 조명을 받지 못하였으나 근래에 새로운 문인의 발굴과 소개, 근대 문학과의 연결과 접속 가능성 모색 등 문학 동향을 폭넓게 이해하여, 이 시기가 지니고 있는 문학적 매력과 위상을 밝히려는 노력이 이어지고 있다. 海藏 申錫愚(1805∼1865)는 이러한 연구사적 흐름을 고려할 때 19세기 중반의 문학 실상을 구체적으로 규명하는데 유의미한 인물이다. 그러나 그의 문학에 대해서는 문학관의 대략이나 대표 저작인 『入燕記』에 대한 몇 편의 연구 성과만이 제출되어 있으며, 다루어진 경우라 하더라도 ‘北學’이나 ‘實學’의 관점에서만 주로 논의되었다. 물론 신석우의 문학에 있어 이러한 작품이나 속성은 결코 무시할 수 없는 중요한 부분이지만, 19세기 문단의 중심에 서서 평생 활발한 작품 활동을 전개한 그의 문학 세계를 몇 가지 단어나 개념만으로 규정짓기에는 곤란한 부분이 많다. 본고는 신석우 문학 세계를 총체적으로 규명하기 위한 하나의 과정으로서 그의 작품 전반에 짙게 배어 있는 ‘地方誌的 성격’에 주목해 보고자 한다. 그는 약 30여 년 동안 이어진 관직 생활 속에서 여러 차례 지방관을 역임하였는데, 이때 지어진 시문이 그의 작품 가운데 높은 비중을 차지할 뿐만 아니라, 당대 한층 고조되고 있던 지리ㆍ풍속ㆍ역사에 대한 관심과 맞물려 자신이 보고 들은 지역에서의 경험을 다양한 문학적 수단을 통해 표출해 내고 있기 때문이다. 따라서 신석우 문학에서 보이는 지방지적 성격을 확인하는 작업은, 그의 주요한 문학적 특질을 발견해 내는 과정이 됨은 물론, 19세기의 선명한 문학적 흐름을 확인하는 데 있어서도 유의미한 참조점을 제공해 줄 수 있을 것이다. In Chinese literature, the mid-19th century did not receive sufficient light due to the achievements achieved in the 17th and 18th centuries. However, in recent years, it has been widely understood, such as the discovery and introduction of new literary men, and connection with modern literature. Efforts are being made to reveal the literary charm and status of the company. Shin Seok-woo(申錫愚) is a significant figure in elucidating the reality of literature in the mid-19th century in view of this historical flow of research. However, for his literature, only a few research results on the representative work Ip-yeon-gi(入燕記), and even if it was dealt with, it was mainly discussed only from the perspective of 'Bukhak(北學)' or 'Silhak(實學)'. Of course, these works and attributes are an important part that cannot be ignored in Shin Seok-woo's literature, but there are many difficult parts to define his literary world, which was active throughout his life at the center of the 19th century literary arts, with only a few words or concepts. This paper attempts to focus on the local record that is deeply embedded in his work as a process to comprehensively investigate the literary world of Shin Seok-woo. He served as a local government office several times during his life as a government office for about 30 years, and the poems built at this time not only occupied a high proportion of his works, but he reported it in conjunction with his interest in geography, customs, and history, which was growing higher at the time. This is because they are expressing their local experiences through various literary means. Therefore, the work of confirming the local intellectual character seen in Shin Seok-woo's literature not only becomes the process of discovering his major literary characteristics, but also provides a meaningful reference point for confirming the clear literary flow of the 19th century.
3리터급 DME 엔진용 DOC, LNT 후처리 장치 연구

This study is developing aftertreatment system for DME engine. Modified DME engine, which is changed from diesel to current DME engine, was used for this research and is equipped common rail type injector and fuel supplying system. Aftertreatment system consists of DOC and LNT with reductant injector. DME is used as reducing agent. The maximum elimination of HC and CO emissions by DOC was over 80%. Especially reduction rate of CO was almost 100% at high exhaust temperature condition. The maximum diminution of NOx by LNT was over 50%. However HC slip was occurred by reducing agent. Second DOC was installed after LNT to decrease HC slip.Prototype aftertreatment system was made for vehicle.
