        Electronic Structure of Organic/organic Interface Depending on Heteroepitaxial Growth Using Templating Layer

        The electronic structure at organic-organic interface gives essential information on deviceperformance such as charge transport and mobility. Especially, the molecular orientation oforganic material can affect the electronic structure at interface and ultimately the deviceperformance in organic photovoltaics. The molecular orientation is examined by the changein ionization potential (IP) for metal phthalocyanines (MPc, M=Zn, Cu)/fullerene (C60)interfaces on ITO by adding the CuI templating layer through ultraviolet photoelectronspectroscopy measurement. On CuPc/C60 bilayer, the addition of CuI templating layerrepresents the noticeable change in IP, while it hardly affects the electronic structure ofZnPc/C60 bilayer. The CuPc molecules on CuI represent relatively lying down orientationwith intermolecular π-π overlap being aligned in vertical direction. Consequently, in organicphotovoltaics consisting of CuPc and C60 as donor and acceptor, respectively, the carriertransport along the direction is enhanced by the insertion of CuI templaing layer. In addition,optical absorption in CuPc molecules is increased due to aligned transition matrix elements. Overall the lying down orientation of CuPc on CuI will improve photovoltaic efficiency.

        부모의 양육효능감이 발달장애인 자녀의 자립에 미치는 영향 : 가족역량강화의 매개효과

        The purpose of this study was to verify whether strengthening family competency plays a mediating role in the influence of parents' parenting efficacy on the independent life of children with developmental disabilities. The subjects of the study were 146 parents with developmental disabilities, and data analysis using the SPSS 22.0 program was conducted. The mediating effect was Baron and Kenny Hierarchical regression analysis and sobel-test were conducted. As a result of the study, the positive effect of parents' parenting efficacy on the level of self-reliance and strengthening family competency of children with developmental disabilities was verified. In addition, the positive mediating effect of strengthening family competency was verified between the parenting efficacy of parents and the level of independence of children with developmental disabilities. As a result of the study, it is important to support parents' parenting and family capacity enhancement to support the independence of children with developmental disabilities. 본 연구는 부모의 양육효능감이 발달장애인 자녀의 자립생활에 미치는 영향으로 가족역량강화의 매개역할을 검증하기 위한 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 발달장애인 부모 146명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 활용한 자료분석을 실시하였다. 매개효과는 바론과 케니의 위계적 회귀분석과 sobel-test를 진행하였다. 연구결과 부모의 양육효능감이 발달장애인 자녀의 자립수준과 가족역량강화에 정(+)적인 영향을 검증하였다. 또한 부모의 양육효능감과 발달장애인 자녀의 자립수준 사이에서 가족역량강화의 정(+)적인 매개효과를 검증하였다. 연구결과 발달장애인 자녀의 자립지원을 위한 부모의 양육강화지원과 가족역량강화를 위한 제도와 실천이 중요함을 시사한다.

        복부비만과 허혈성 뇌졸중

        Objective: The purposes of this study are to know the relations of abdominal obesity and ischemic stroke and to know what index could represent the abdominal obesity appropriately. Methods. We have done case-control study and recruited 97 ischemic stroke patients and 117 controls. Case is matched by control by individual matching. All participants had questionnaire, interview and then were examined waist-hip ratio, waist circumference and body mass index. Results : WC, WHR and Hypertension history had differences in two groups, case and control groups. But BMI and other factors weren't significant. According to Quartile of Waist Circumference, the two groups had the differences in hypertension history, diabetes history, smoking status, WHR, BMI, and weight and in the Quartile of Waist-Hip Ratio Quartile, past history of hypertension and diabetes, WC, BMI and weight had the significances. Sex, Age Adjusted and Multivariate Odds Ratio (95% Confidence Interval) of WC Quartile are 2.083, 1.628, 4.491 and 4.418, 4.964, 12.306, and in WHR, the Ors are 2.252, 5.743, 15.776 and 2.632, 8.918, 23.596. Conclusions: We knew from these results that abdominal obesity is very important risk factor of ischemic stroke and WHR more than WC is a good indicator of abdominal obesity, so we should reduce the WHR to prevent of ischemic stroke.

        결핵 발병과 CD44 유전자 다형성사이의 연관성 연구

        Tuberculosis, a chronic bacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB), differs in its status latency and activity because of the characteristics of MTB, immune status of the host, and genetic susceptibility. The host defense mechanism against MTB is caused mainly by interactions between macrophages, T cells, and dendritic cells. CD44 is expressed in activated T cells when infected with MTB and regulates lymphocyte migration. In addition, CD44 mediates leukocyte adhesion to the ECM and plays a role in attracting macrophages and CD4+ T cells to the lungs. Therefore, genetic polymorphism of the CD44 gene will inhibit the host cell immune mechanisms against MTB. This study examined whether the genetic polymorphism of the CD44 gene affects the susceptibility of tuberculosis. A total of 237 SNPs corresponding to the CD44 genes were analyzed using the genotype data of 443 tuberculosis cases and 3,228 healthy controls from the Korean Association Resource (KARE). Of these, 17 SNPs showed a significant association with the tuberculosis case. The most significant SNP was rs75137824 (OR=0.231, CI: 1.51∼3.56, P=1.3×10‒4). In addition, rs10488809, one of the 17 significant SNPs, is important for the tuberculosis outbreak can bind to the JUND and FOS transcription factors and can affect CD44 gene expression. This study suggests that polymorphism of the CD44 gene modulates the host susceptibility to tuberculosis in a variety of ways, resulting in differences in the status of tuberculosis. 결핵균에 의한 만성 세균성 감염인 결핵은 결핵균의 특성, 숙주의 면역상태와 유전적 감수성의 차이에 의해 잠복성과 활동성으로의 진행정도에 차이가 있다. 결핵균에 대한 숙주 방어 기전은 주로 대식세포, T 세포 및 수지상 세포 사이의 상호 작용에기인한다. CD44는 결핵균에 감염되면 활성 T 세포에서 발현되며 림프구 이동을 조절한다. 또한 CD44는 ECM에 대한 백혈구의 부착을 매개하여 대식세포, CD4+ T cell 등을 폐로 불러모으는 역할을 한다. 따라서, CD44 유전자의 다형성은 결핵균에 대한 숙주세포의 면역기전 저하를 유발할 수 있다. 이 연구의 목적은 CD44 유전자의 유전자 다형성이 결핵의 감수성에 영향을 미치는지 조사하는 것이다. 결핵균과 CD44의 연관성에 대하여대한 한국 협회 자원의 443명의 cases와 3228명의 control을이용하여 CD44 유전자의 237개의 SNP를 분석하였다. 이 중17 개의 SNP가 결핵과 통계적으로 유의한 관련성을 보였다. 가장 유의성 있는 SNP는 rs75137824였다(OR=0.231, CI: 1.51∼ 3.56, P=1.3×10‒4). 또한 결핵 발병에 유의성이 있는 SNP중rs10488809의 경우는 전사인자 JUND 및 FOS에 결합하는 부위로써 CD44 유전자 발현에 영향을 줄 수 있는 것으로 확인할수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 결핵 발병이 CD44 발현 차이에 의한숙주 면역반응에 차이에 의해서 감수성의 차이가 있을 수 있음을 나타 낼 수 있다. 이번 연구 결과는 결핵균 감염에 대한 숙주면역의 유전적 차이가 결핵 진행정도의 차이를 유발할 수 있다는 유전적 배경에 대한 기반을 마련해 줄 수 있을 것이라고 기대한다.

        시점 간 순사육두수 변화를 고려한 한우의 사육두수 전망 모형 분석

        Decision-making on the number of slaughtered heads considering the change in the number of breeding heads is an important issue for Hanwoo-breeding farmers. While previous studies treat breeding heads of Hanwoo in terms of supply function, this study differs in the way that it develops a model for breeding heads that incorporate both supply and demand sides. The number of cattle raised is forecasted using the estimates of slaughtered heads, the estimates of breeding cattle under one year of age, and the actual number of breeding cattle in the previous period. The result of the precision of the model for estimating the number of cattle raised indicates that the accuracy of the model is very high.

        식품군별 생산비의 GM 원료비 비중 추정

        There has been an ongoing debate on the strengthening of the GM food labeling system in Korea. In order to effectively assess the impacts of strengthening GMO labeling policy from the production side, the fundamental research on the rise of the expected cost in food production is needed. In this study, the input ratio of GM raw material costs within production costs, which are variable costs in the production of food, is analyzed by classifying the GM raw material cost for food products into 22 categories. Scenario analysis is carried out to make reasonable assumptions on how much GM soybeans and corn is demanded by food manufacturing companies that are sensitive to the acceptability of GM food by domestic consumers. Three scenarios are designed in such a way that the input ratio of GM raw material cost is assumed to be 100%, 75%, and 50%. As a result of scenario analysis, the food product with the highest GM input ratio in the final goods is found to be edible oils (28.2%), and the input ratios of GM for tofu or jellied food, soy milk, and paste are relatively low at 2.4%, 1.7%, and 3.4%, respectively. The results of this analysis suggest that if GM raw materials are replaced with non-GM raw materials, the effect of cost increase will be concentrated on the food products with a high GM raw materials input ratio.
