      • 무침주사기를 이용한 구제역 백신 접종과 이상육 발생

        일반적으로 구제역 백신 접종은 유침주사기를 사용하고 있다. 유침주사기 사용 시 근육 조직 및 림프구에 병변이 생기는 이상육이 발생하고 이는 소비자의 불만제기와 국내산 돼지고기(한돈)의 이미지 악화와 관련된다. 그 대안으로 무침주사기 개발이 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 무침주사기를 이용한 구제역 백신 접종 시 이상육 발생빈도를 조사하여 무침주사기의 활용성을 검증하기 위해 실시했다. 실험결과 무침주사기 사용 시 이상육의 발생이 유침주사기 사용 대비 유의적으로 낮았다(36 vs. 16%, p < 0.05). 따라서 무침주사기를 이용한 구제역 백신 접종 시 이상육 발생을 낮춰 돈육 품질을 높이고 소비자 불만을 감소시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 추가 연구로 무침주사기의 항체형성률, 작업효율성, 경제적 비용 등을 조사하고 무침주사기의 활용성을 검증할 필요가 있다. Vaccination for swine food and mouth disease (FMD) has been using needle injection. Needle injection can cause lesions of injection site on muscle and lymph node, leading to consumer's complain and Korea Pork's image deterioration. Needle-free injections have been developing to solve this issues. The current study performed to evaluate the frequency of muscle and lymph node lesions after vaccination using needle-free injection. Needle-free injection significantly decreased the lesions on the injection site compared with the needle injection(36 vs. 16%, p < 0.05). Based on the result, needle-free injection can enhance the quality of pork and decrease consumer's complains. Further study should perform to validate potential of needle-free injection by investigating antibody formation rate, work efficiency, and economic cost.

      • 개시체중과 Synbiotics 첨가가 이유자돈의 성장에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 개시체중 차이와 사료 내 신바이오틱스 첨가에 따른 이유자돈의 성장특성을 비교하는 것이다. 공시 돈은 총 80두로 4 처리 4 반복(반복당 5두)로 난괴법 배치를 하였고, 처리구는 1) 개시체중이 높고 아무것도 첨가하지 않은 사료 급여, 2) 개시체중이 낮고 아무것도 첨가하지 않은 사료 급여, 3) 개시체중이 낮고 항생제 0.2% 첨가 급여, 4) 개시체중이 낮고 신바이오틱스 0.2% 첨가 급여 등 4처리구 이다. 실험기간은 총 28일로 Phase I (d 0~14)과 Phase II (d 14~28)로 구분하여 진행하였다. 개시체중이 낮고 사료 내 항생제 및 신바이오틱스 첨가 급여한 AB 그룹과 Syn 그룹은 개시체중이 낮고 아무것도 첨가 급여하지 않은 NC 그룹에 비해 일당증체량이 유의적으로 높았으나 실험종료 시 체중은 유의적 차이가 없었다. 개시체중이 높고 아무것도 첨가 급여하지 않은 PC 그룹은 개시체중 및 종료 체중이 다른 그룹에 비해 유의적으로 높았고, 전체 실험기간 일일사료섭취량은 적고 일당증체량은 유의적으로 높아 사료요구율이 낮은 경향을 나타냈다. 따라서 항생제 또는 신바이오틱스의 사료 내 첨가는 개시체중에서 이미 유의미한 차이가 있는 경우, 이 차이를 극복할 수 있을 정도의 성장 촉진을 이루기는 어려울 것으로 판단된다. 그러나 더 정확한 결론을 도출하기 위해서는 생시체중 및 이유체중의 구간별 비교, 항생제와 신바이오틱스의 종류별, 농도별 비교, 육성 및 비육기간까지의 성장특성 비교 등 추가적인 실험이 요구된다. The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of initial body weight and synbiotics supplementation in the diet on growth performance of weaned pigs. A total of 80 crossbred pigs (Landrace×Yorkshire×Duroc, d 28±3, body weight 6.40±1.70 kg) were randomly distributed 4 treatments (4 replication, 5 pigs/replication). The treatments were 1) high initial body weight group (PC), 2) low initional body weight group (NC), 3) low initial body weight with 0.2% antibiotics (amoxicillin) supplementaion group (AB), 4) low initial body weight with 0.2% synbiotics (AllTech<sup>®</sup> Bio-Mos 0.3%, 0.3%, Bacillus subtillis 0.1%, formic acid 0.1%) supplementation group (Syn). AllTech<sup>®</sup> Bio-Mos is consist of at least 25% of glucomannanprotein extracted from the cell wall of Saccaromycess cerevisae. Growth performance was measured during 28 d. Average daily gain (ADG) of AB and Syn groups were significantly (p<0.05) higher than that of NC group. However, final body weight at the end of experiment were not different among NC, AB, and Syn groups. Initial body weight and final body weight of PC group were statistically (p<0.001) higher compared to those of other groups. Additionally, PC showed the tendency of lower average daily feed intake and higher ADG, thereby lower feed conversion ratio compared with other groups. Therefore, the current results imply that supplementation of antibiotics and synbiotics in diets for weaned pigs could not catch up with significant differences in initial body weight.

        Effects of mating age at first parity of sows on backfat thickness, litter performance and weaningto- estrus interval over three consecutive parities

        The present study investigated the impacts of mating age of gilts (A1, < 230 days; A2, 230 - 249 days and A3, 250 ≤ days) on reproductive performance and litter size of sows at farrowing to weaning. A total of 102 crossbred gilts (Yorkshire × Landrace; average days old, 90 days) were purchased from a commercial breeding company. After identification of third estrus, the gilts were artificially inseminated using semen of Duroc boars. Pregnant pigs were allotted to one of three groups including A1, A2, and A3. Experimental diets and water were fed ad libitum during each experimental period which included the first, second, and third parities. Backfat thickness (BFT) of sows was higher in A3 at farrowing in the first parity than in others. At weaning time in the second parity, sows in A3 group showed a numerically higher BFT than those in A1. There was no effect of mating age on the total number of piglets born and total weaned piglets. There was a tendency to decrease the wean-to estrus-interval in the first parity as age increased at mating. Results obtained in the present study indicate that the first mating age does not affect the subsequent parites’ reproductive performance; however, weaned to estrus interval tended to decrease in A2 at the first parity.

        In this paper, we surveyed the service system disclosed by the government and self-governing province to analyze the status of IoT data service. Survey conditions were focused on data generated from objects such as sensors, OpenAPI that can utilize the generated data and data having a data update cycle of less than 1 month. As a result of the survey, the ratio of IoT data to data released by the government, self-governing province and the private sector was only 1.2%. Therefore, in order to increase the utilization with the development of IoT technology, a dedicated organization that can manage the IoT data service is needed.

      • 사료 내 섬유소의 첨가가 자돈의 성장 성적에 미치는 영향

        본 실험은 자돈 사료 내 섬유소 공급원 및 첨가 수준의 차이가 이유자돈의 성장 능력에 미치는 영향을 평가하고자 수행되었다. 섬유소 공급원으로 sugar beet pulp와 oat hull을 각 2%, 8% 첨가 수준을 달리하여 자돈에 급이하였으며, 처리구는 사료 내 항생제를 0.1% 첨가한 PC 처리구의 성장 성적에 비해 낮았으나, 항생제를 첨가하지 않은 NC 처리구에 비해 높게 나타났다. 또한 sugar beet pulp 8%를 급이 한 처리구는 PC 처리구와 유사한 성장 성적을 보였으며, 이는 섬유소 공급이 이유 후 자돈의 장내 환경에 긍정적 영향을 미친 것으로 사료된다. This study was undertaken to evaluate the effect of feeding with fiber diets on growth performance in weaned piglets. A total of 240 pigs with an averge weight of 8.69±0.45 kg at 28±2 days of age were allocated into a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with a total of 6 treatments and 5 replications per treatment in the pig barn. The experimental treatments were as follows: 1) Negative control (NC: Basal diet), 2) Positive control (PC: Basal diet+antibiotic), 3) SBP2 (Basal diet+2% sugar beet pulp addition), 4) SBP8 (Basal diet+8%diet+8% sugar beet pulp addition), 5) OH2 (Basal diet+2% sugar beet pulp), and 6) OH8 (Basal diet+8% oat hull addition). The pigs were fed phase I diets for 2 weeks and phase II diets for 3 weeks, with the average daily gain (ADG) and average daily feed intake (ADFI) measured on days 14 and 35. During 2 week the growth performance of the PC treatment, with 0.1% antibiotic addition, showed a significant increase (P<0.05). In 0~5 weeks, the growth performance in the PC treatment was the highest. Treatments with dietary fiber additions exhibited lower daily gains compared to the PC treatment but were higher than the NC treatment. SBP8, with 8% sugar beet pulp addition, showed growth performance comparable to the PC treatment (P<0.05). Additionally, the 8% fiber addition level demonstrated significantly higher daily gains compared to the 2% addition level (P<0.05). The addition of fiber to pig diets resulted in lower growth performance compared to treatments with antibiotic additions. However, the pigs fed SBP8 showed growth performance equivalent to those in the PC treatment, suggesting the potential of sugar beet pulp as a substitute for antibiotics in pig feed. The growth attributed to sugar beet pulp addition in the feed is speculated to occur while the immature gut of the pigs is developing and due to the positive influence of sugar beet pulp's fiber source on the gut environment.

        사료 내 에너지 수준 및 비테인 첨가 급여가 고온기 육성돈의 영양소 소화율 및 생리학적 변화에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to determine the effects of supplementary levels of dietary betaine and energy on nutrient digestibility and physiological responses in growing pigs exposed to heat stress. A total of 12 barrows (L×Y×D; initial BW, 67.1±0.98 kg) were allocated into individual metabolic crates. Experimental design was a 4×4 Latin square with dietary energy and betaine levels (3,300 and 3,400 kcal/kg; 0 and 0.5%, respectively) and the experimental period (n=4). Feeding trial was performed during summer season (July and August). Digestibility of crude fat was higher (p<0.01) in the ME 3,400 kcal/kg than the ME 3,300 kcal/kg, but did not differ by betaine (p>0.05). Blood corpuscles and biochemical components were not influenced by dietary energy and betaine levels (p>0.05). Serum IgG was greater (p<0.05) in the ME 3,400 kcal/kg than the ME 3,300 kcal/kg, but cortisol was not differ among the treatment groups (p>0.05). In conclusion, our results showed positive effects by energy levels rather than betaine. Thus, further study need investigation of effects of high energy level in the pigs exposed to heat stress.

        복합효소제 첨가 및 고체상태 발효가 채종박의 in vitro 소화율및 단쇄지방산 생성에 미치는 효과

        본 실험에서는 외인성 효소 첨가제 및 혼합 세균 배양을 통한 고상발효(Solid-state fermentation, SSF)가 채종박(Rapeseed meal, RSM)의체외건물소화율(In vitro dry matter digestibility, IVDMD) 및 단쇄지방산(Short chain fatty acid) 생성에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위해 수행되었다. 외인성 효소 칵테일(첨가 및 미첨가) 및 RSM에 대한 SSF(발효 및 비발효)를 나타내는 2 x 2 요인 설계가 적용되었다. 3-step 돼지 소화율 모델을적용하여 채종박의 건물 소화율을 분석하였으며, 72시간 대장발효 후 상층액을 수집하여 단쇄지방산 생성량을 분석한 후 칼로리 단위로 변환하여가소화에너지 소화율을 분석하였다. 소장 (IVDMDh) 및 전장 (IVDMDt) 건물소화율에서는 고상발효된 채종박이 더 높게 나타났다 (각각 p <0.01). 마찬가지로, 외인성 효소 첨가제 처리구에서 채종박의 소장 소화율(IVDMDh)이 증가하는 경향을 나타냈다(p = 0.06). Acetic acid 및butyric acid의 생산은 대조구에 비해 고상발효 처리 시 유의하게 더 생산되었으며 (각각 p < 0.01), 이는 총 단쇄지방산의 생산 증가 경향을나타냈다(p = 0.09). 에너지 소화율에서는 채종박의 고상발효 및 외인성 효소제 첨가가 유의적으로 높게 나타났다 ( p < 0.01). 그러므로 채종박의고상발효 처리는 단백질 이용성을 비롯한 영양적 가치를 향상시키는데 효과적이라고 사료된다. An experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of exogenous enzyme supplementation and solid-state fermentation (SSF)with a mixed bacterial culture on in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD) and short chain fatty acid (SCFA) production of rapeseedmeal (RSM). A two-factor factorial design was applied indicating 1) exogenous enzyme cocktail (supplemented and non-supplemented),2) SSF (fermented and non-fermented) applied to RSM in vitro. After 48 hours at 37°C of SSF process, fermented RSM was collectedand hydrolyzed in two steps using pepsin and pancreatin to calculate IVDMD. In the following step, the hydrolyzed residues were filtered,dried, and pooled before being incubated in a mineral-buffered solution with fresh feces. Upon filtering fermentation residues, SCFA concentrations in the supernatant were determined and residues were determined for total tract IVDMD. The IVDMD from simulatedgastric and small intestinal hydrolysis (IVDMDh), and total tract IVDMD (IVDMDt) were greater for SSF in RSM (p < 0.01, respectively). Similarly, there was a trend for increasing IVDMDh for Multi-Enz in RSM (p = 0.06). Production of acetic acid, and butyric acid weregreater for SSF (p < 0.01, respectively) compared with non-SSF in RSM. SSF of RSM tended to increase total SCFA production (p= 0.09). In vitro digestibility of gross energy digestibility (IVDGE), and calculation of gross energy based on IVDGE were was greaterin both SSF (p <0.01), and Multi-Enz (p <0.01), respectively. The results of this study indicate that SSF enhances protein quality, whichmay be effective in improving IVDMD and IVDGE.

        Effect of Dry, Wet and Liquid Feeding on the Performance, Digestibility and Carcass Characteristics of Growing Pigs

        A total of 240 growing pigs were distributed in three treatment groups to investigate the influence of fermentation in different feeder type on the growing finishing pigs. The treatments were dry feeding (DF), wet feeding (WF) with dry-wet feeders and liquid feeding (LF) with freshly prepared 3:1 water to feed ratio fed three times a day throughout the experiment. The average daily gain (ADG) and body weight were consistently greater (p<0.05) in LF than the others. When the entire experimental period was taken under consideration the ADG and body weight was also found to be increased (p<0.05) in WF in comparison to DF. The average daily feed intake (ADFI) and growth to feed ratio (G/F) was not affected however the average daily water intake (ADWI) and water to feed ratio (W/F) were significantly reduced (p<0.01) in WF in comparison to DF and LF. The ATTD of DM, GE and CP was increased (p<0.05) in WF and LF in comparison to DF at both phase I and II (4th and 8th wk) of the experiment. Carcass characteristics and blood parameters were not affected (p>0.05) in any of the feeding type in growing finishing pigs. It can be concluded that wet feeding with dry-wet feeders is good for enhancing the growth performance in the later stages while fresh liquid feeding in ratio 3:1 is beneficial for the growing finishing pigs throughout the experiment.

        발효유의 급여가 포유자돈의 성장, 장내 미생물총, 분변내 유해가스배출에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to investigate effects of feeding fermented milk on growth, intestinal microorganisms and fecal noxious gas emission in suckling pigs. A total of a hundred birth piglets (Landrace×Yorkshire×Duroc) were randomly assigned into feeding group and control group during suckling period that ten pigs per sow. Fermented milk contained 3.0×108/g of Bacillus and 3.5×108/g of Lactobacillus, and was supplied by top dressing method. Fermented milk fed to the sulking pigs indicated tendency to increase weaning body weight (p=0.052) and average daily gain (p=0.094). Total microbial flora and Escherichia coli in the feces were lower (p<0.05) in the feeding group than the non-feeding group. Reversely, Lactobacillus was higher (p<0.01) in feces of the pigs fed fermented milk than the pigs of the control group. Hydrogen sulfide emitted in feces was decreased in feeding group compared with control group (p<0.05). Similarly, fecal total mercaptans was diminished in the feeding group than the control group (p<0.01). Therefore, the fermented milk fed to the sulking pigs may improved growth and can influence positively intestinal microorganisms and fecal noxious gas emission.
