        인삼사포닌의 급성 및 아급성 독성에 관한 연구

        Acute toxicities of purified ginseng saponin (PGS) in mice, and subacute toxicities of PGS in rats were investigated. Average lethal doses (LD50) of PGS in male mice were 270mg/kg (i.v.), 342mg/kg (i.p.), 505mg/kg (i.m.), 950mg/kg (s.c.), and more than 5,000mg/kg (p.o.), respectively. Results of subacute toxicity of PGS was as follows. Body weight was markedly increased by administration of PGS 7.7mg/kg but side effects were shown by administration of 77mg/kg and above dose. Especially administration of PGS 240mg/kg caused a marked decrease of albumin/globulin ratio, and 28% increase of urea nitrogen in serum, as well as 33% increase of liver weight/body weight ratio.

      • 하천 관리 원격 모니터링용 RTU 설계

        본 논문은 하천 원격 감시 시스템에 주로 사용되는 RTU의 성능을 개선하기 위한 고속의 임베디드 시스템을 적용한 RTU시스템 설계에 관한 연구이다. 본 논문에서 제안한 하천관리용 RTU는 모듈단위로 구성되어 있으며 확장이 용이하도록 시스템을 구성하였다. RTU의 상태를 감시할 수 있도록 고장에 대한 진단기능 부가 하였으며 Web Sever 기능을 부가하여 원격지에서 하천의 상태를 쉽게 모니터링 할 수 있도록 시스템을 개발하였다. In this paper, we designed RTU of the remote monitoring system for performance to improve of RTU using the embedded system with high-speed. The proposed river management RTU system consists of a modular unit system was constructed to facilitate the expansion. RTU to monitor the status of the fault diagnostic capabilities for additional functionality and add Web Sever river in a remote location to allow easy monitoring of the state system has been developed.

        각종 간질환에서 HDL / Cholesterol 비와 HDL2 / HDL3 비에 대한 연구

        N/A High Density Lipoprotein has led to large number of observations regarding factors which influence their concentration. HDL are separated into 3 subfractions, HDL, HDL2 and HDL3, by ultracentrifugation methods. Total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and HDL2, HDL3 cholesterol were analysed in the serum of patients with chronic persistent hepatitis, chronic active hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, hepatoma, acute viral hepatitis, fatty liver, and coronary artery disease. Other parameters for liver dysfuction also were studied. The results ivere as follows. 1) The mean level of cholesterol in normal control group were 157.3+12.6 mg/dl in male, 152.3+ 14. 5 mg/dl in female group. In various liver diseases, there were no significant difference among the groups except liver cirrhosis (p<0.05). 2) There were significant decrease in the level of total HDL in liver cirrhosis and hepatoma (p < 0.05). 3) The level of HDL2, in normal control group were 13.52+3.84 mg/dl in male and 17.28+6.38 in female. There were significant decrease in the level of HDL2, in patients with chronic active hepatitis (p<0.05), liver cirrhosis (p<0.01), and hepatoma (p<0.01). 4) There were no significant difference in the level of HDL3, among the groups. 5) There were significant decrease in the ratio of HDL2/HDL3 in patients with chronic active hepatitis (p<0.05), liver cirrhosis (p<0.01), and hepatoma (p<0.01). We concluded that there were significant decrease in the level of HDL2, in patients with chronic active hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, hepatoma and these are probably due to change in apolipoprotein and decreased activity of lipoprotein lipase.

        N/A Bilirubin is a major component of gallstones and the solubility of unconjugated bilirubin (UCB) has been shown to play an important role in gallstone formation. The mechanism of gallstone formation and solubilization of UCB is, however, still unknown. Several investigators have attempted to determine the chemical nature of bilirubin which are thought to be closely related to its solubility. Hoivever, there is some controversy over the ionization constants and pK values of carboxyl groups of UCR. In the present study, the effect of pH, the type and concentration of bile salt on UCB solubility were studied and the pK values of bilirubin were calculated. The results were as follows: 1) There are more solubilities with higher bile salt concentrations and with increasing pH, and bile salt plays an important role in solubilizing UCB in bile. 2) Bile salt monomers, dimmers and micelles are equally effective in solubilizing bilirubin. 3) The bilirubin in bile is almost entirely in the monoanion (BH- ) form at physiological pH values.

      • 寒冷露出 및 X-線全身照射가 마우스 數種臟器의 蛋白量에 미치는 影響

        In an attempt to observe the possible radioprotective action of the low temperature in mammals, the albino mouse was subjected to cold exposure at -1±0.2℃, whole-body, X-irradiation with 900r, and the X-irradiation following the cold exposure for one hour. The levels of protein of the liver, brain and heart were measured at 1/2, 1 and 3 hours after the cold exposure and/or the X-irradiation, and the results were compared with the control, i.e., non-irradiated and non-cold exposed animal. Protein was measured by the method described by Lowry et al. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. The level of protein in the liver, brain and heart of the normal mouse was 101.13±17.57,62.79±6.89 and 87.08±6.68㎎/gm wet wt. respectively. 2. The protein content of the liver in the X-irradiated group showed a tendency of increase comparing with the control, though there was a slight decrease at ½hours post-irradiation. In the groups where the cold exposure alone or the combination of the cold exposure and X-irradiation were applied, there was no significant change from the control. 3. The protein content of the brain immediately after the X-irradiation produced no change from the control, but a slight increase was noted at three hours post-irradiation after a slight decrease at ½hours post-irradiation. In the cold exposure group, there was a general tendency of decrease throughout the experiment. When the cold exposure and X-irradiation were combined, there was a tendency of increase in the protein content comparing from the control. 4. The protein content of the heart in the X-irradiated group showed a tendency of increase throughout the experiment with the exception of decrease at ½hours post-irradiation. In the groups where the cold exposure alone or the combination of the cold exposure and X-irradiation were applied, a tendency of decrease in the protein content was observed from the control.

        동질분획에 의한 불포화 빌리루빈의 용해도와 이온화에 관한 연구

        Increases in unconjugated bilirubin (UCB) are found consistently in the bile of patients with pigment gallstones, even though total bilirubin concentrations are normal or low. We have publishied a study of the solubilization af UCB in simple aqueous and bile salt solutions, and the study revealed that the bilirubin in bile was almast entirely in the monoanion form at physiologic values and the two carboxyly in the monoanion form at physiologic values and the two carboxylic pKa values were widely separated. The data, however, were not ideal due to possible effects of crystal size, metastability and long incubation time. In the present study, the problems were minimized by rapid equilibrium partition of UCB from solutions in CHCl₃ into buffered aqueous NaCl, followd by a repeat aqueous partition of the residual UCB in the CHCl₃ phase. By determining the effects on partition ratios of varying the UCB in the CHCl₃ phase, we could assess self-association of UCB anions in the aqueous phase. Our study demonstrates that 1) aqueous solubility of UCB is less than 1% of its maximam concentration in normal plasma and bile, 2) the unbound ocncentration of HB^- woiuld decrease with decreaing bile pH, 3) the ion products of bile salts would increase with increasing bile pH, 4) defective acidification of bile in the gallbladder might favor precipitation of calcium bilirubinates.

        각종 위장관 악성 종양에 있어서 CA 19-9 의 임상적 의의

        We have studied the clinical significance of tumor marker CA 19-9 in various gastrointestinal malignancies compared with normal control, benign diseases, and other malignancies. The results were as followings; 1) There was no age and sex difference in CA 19-9 serum level in control and various gastrointestinal malignancies. 2) There was somewhat increase in CA 19-9 serum level in various gastrointestinal malignancies but not statistically significant. In metastatic cancer, the serum levels of CA 19-9 were increased significantly. 3) The specificity of CA 19-9 in various benign diseases was 86.1% 4) The sensitivity of CA 19-9 in various gastrointestinal malignancies including local and metasis was 42.5%, but in case of metastasis, the sensitivity increased to 78%. 5) When CEA and Calg-9 were checked simu1taneously in diagnosis of metastatic stomach ca., the sensitivity was 88.2%. 6) All cases of pancreatic cancer and cholangiocarcinoma studied, showed marked increase of serum level of CA 19-9.
