Microsatellite DNA Somaclonal Variation of Regenerated Plants via Cotyledon Culture of Hot Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.)

In this study, microsatellite DNA markers were utilized to characterize somaclonal variation in regenerated plants from cultured cotyledons of Capsicum annuum L. cv Subicho. Twenty five microsatellite primer pairs were utilized in the screning of 41 regenerated plants derived from the cotyledons. Microsatellite DNA variation was detected among the regenerated plants a t t w o S S R l o c i . T h e p r i m e r p a i r s f o r t h e S S R l o c i HpmsF15 and HpmsF037 revealed somaclonal variation in 5 out of the 41 plantlets (12%). However, 23 microsatellite markers evidenced no nuclear DNA polymorphisms. Nevertheles, the microsatellite marker technique can be sucessfuly employed to assess genetic variations in somaclonal variants of the hot pepper.

Crystallization annealing effects on ferroelectric properties of Al-Doped HfO2 thin film capacitors using indium–tin–oxide electrodes

To investigate the effect of indium-tin-oxide (ITO) electrode on the Al-doped HfO2 (Al:HfO2) ferroelectric thin films, we fabricated and characterized the ITO/Al:HfO2/ITO and ITO/Al:HfO2/TiN capacitors by changing the annealing conditions. The ferroelectric remnant polarization (2Pr) was obtained to be 13.25 μC/cm2 for the ITO/ Al:HfO2/TiN capacitors with the post-deposition annealing, which was termed T1. The 2Pr decreased after the post-metallization annealing due to the interface degradation between the Al:HfO2 and ITO electrode. Alternatively, the switching time and activation field of the T1 for the ferroelectric polarization switching were 1.25 μs and 1.15 MV/cm. These parameters were sensitively influenced by the interfacial dead layer formation and the amounts of ferroelectric orthorhombic phase. Furthermore, the fatigue endurance of the T1 were improved by preventing the crowding of oxygen vacancies at interfaces between the Al:HfO2 and top electrodes, in which the polarization values did not experience marked variations even after the fatigue cycles of 108.

Modern public libraries have been changing as libraries by focusing on users such as exhibition, watching videos, taking cultural classes and leisure etc except its own general roles such as reading and lending materials of public libraries in the past according to development of economy and culture, and the boundary of libraries has been expanding, so the trend various cultural contents for its role is in the form of complex cultural space. In addition, it is more than just complexation with facilities including simple cultural functions and combines with facilities of commercial purpose and public cultural welfare facilities. Due to this trend, studies on complexation of public libraries, but most of the studies are on the complex relations simply. Thus, This study selected a total of 14 libraries, 4 libraries before 2000, 10 libraries after 2000, depending on the area by size among public libraries combined on the equivalent position in the library, in combination with at least one facility according to "Public culture and welfare facilities" through the analysis of vertical type, horizontal type and vertical·horizontal mixed type for 58 libraries of public libraries in 2011. The study analyzed the selected public libraries in four aspects such as combination forms of the building, classification according to the entrance, correlation analysis with complex facilities, types of internal circulation by deriving the characteristics by type by analyzing the form of a combination according to libraries combined with their other facilities and by stereotyping them depending on the features of each type. Based on the above investigation, combination forms of domestic mixed public libraries were obtained from the six types of A~F, this researcher examined the advantages and disadvantages about each type. Upon further research, it is proposed as data of construction guidelines in planning public library combination through in-depth analysis by reflecting area combined ratio in accordance with each room of mixed libraries and users" interviews needs assessment.

As a cultural complex, today"s public libraries include a variety of cultural programs. Along with the flow and changes of the times, a public library changed from a material-centric library to a users-centric one, accepting a diversity of cultural functions as well as the functions of collecting and opening materials. As a result, a public library expands its roles to a community facility. Additionally, a variety of mixed uses, such as display, watching a video, participating in a cultural program, and leisure, occur in a public library. As such, since a public library changed to a place including pluralistic culture, much research on complexation of a public library has been conducted. However, they often focused on complexation of simple cultural programs. Therefore, this work analyzed the trend of public libraries that have more than one functions except for the spatial component described in "Manual of Establishment and Operation of Public Libraries" and have complexation in the equal position with a library, and thereby drew complexation libraries and classified the complexation types of the libraries. This researcher conducted literature study to look into the definition of complexation and analyzed the complexation state of 57 study objects in Korea to investigate their general characteristics, the combination structure of the facilities mixed with libraries and the association with the facilities. Based on the analysis, this work looked into the types of domestic public libraries and combination characteristics of facilities.

Complexation of public library has occurred due to the political change of domestic public library and the change of social structural·cultural object, since 2000, and the number has rapidly increased from 8 to 58. Besides the function to merely satisfy cultural part, it provides users' cultural requirement and cultural contents of community, e.g. addition of various rooms which support community residents' culture and leisure activities as the complex cultural space beyond the basic role of the library such as reading and lending, etc., by combining with public cultural welfare facilities and commercially purposed facilities. Also, as the function and role are extended due to complexation of public libraries, users of the space are increasing, however they are not satisfying the users' convenience and requirements, and the standard of the majority researches on complexation of public library is treated being merely related to the complexation of cultural programs. Here, this research selected 38 libraries, excluding 28 libraries which are the separate type on the same land of the libraries before 2000 and which do not perform the function of library, among 66 public libraries which went through 'public cultural welfare facilities' and complexation, among 828 public libraries in the nation since 2012, and comprehended users requirement feature of the facilities besides the library and complex facilities as the research on space composition in accordance with various user requirements of library users, library managers, complex facility users, complex facility manager. This research is insufficient in respect of the research on the complexation of the existing facilities, this research is insufficient, also, it has limitation as the method of quantitative space composition, so that the researcher performed user requirement analysis in the in-depth approach of Focus Group Interview, which was formulaic analysis method, and derived analysis index which must be considered when composing the public library according to public service area, user area, manager area by 6 evaluation standards, i.e. accessibility, reciprocity, efficiency, vitality, diversity, functionality.

수도권 지하철 네트워크 확장이 아파트 월세 가격에 미치는 영향 분석 - 수정반복매매모형을 중심으로 -

Continuous subway line expansion over the years in Seoul metropolitan area has contributed to improved accessibility to public transport. Since public transport accessibility has a significant impact on housing decisions, quantitative analysis of correlation between housing prices and public transport accessibility is regarded as one of the most important factors for planning better housing policies. This study defines the reduction of traveling time resulted from the construction of new metro stations despite them not being the closest stations as 'Network Expansion Effect', and seeks to understand how the Network Expansion Effect impacts on housing prices. The study analyzes monthly rent data converted from upfront lump sum deposit, so called Jeonse in Korea, from 2012 to 2018, through 'A Modified Repeat Sales Model.' As a result, the effect of 'Network Expansion' on rental prices in Seoul has stronger during the period of 2017 to 2018 than the base period of 2012 to 2014, which suggests the 'Network Expansion' has a meaningful effect on rent. In addition, in comparison between the most and the least affected group of apartments by 'Network Expansion Effect', the most affected group has more price increase than the least affected group. These findings also indicate that different levels of 'Network Expansion Effect' have various influences on the value of residential real estate properties. 수도권 지하철 노선확장 사업을 통해 수도권 거주민의 대중교퉁 접근성은 지속적으로 향상되고 있다. 이러한 대중교통 접근성은 주거지 선택 시 가장 중요한 요소 중 하나로 지하철 노선확장에 따른 접근성 향상이 주택가격에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 추정하는 것은 주택정책에 있어 중요하다. 이 연구는 노선신설에 따라 최근접 지하철역의 변화없이 발생하는 다른 지하철역까지의 통행시간 단축을 네트워크 확장효과로 정의하고, 이것이 주택가격에 미치는 영향력을 확인하고자 한다. 이를 위해 2012년부터 2018년까지 서울시 아파트 전월세확정신고자료를 이용하여 월세로 전환 후, 수정반복매매모형을 통해 시계열적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 기준이 되는 기간(2012~2014년)에 비해 비교기간 (2017~2018년)에 네트워크 확장효과가 서울시 아파트 월세가격에 미치는 영향력이 상대적으로 더 증가했으며, 이는 지하철 네트워크 확장효과가 주택의 임대료 형성에 유의미한 영향을 미친다는 것을 시사한다. 또한, 분석과정에서 네트워크 확장효과의 상하위 아파트 그룹을 비교한 결과, 네트워크 확장 효과 하위그룹보다 상위그룹에서 영향력의 상승폭이 상대적으로 컸으며, 이를통해 네트워크 확장 효과의 정도에 따라 주택의 가치에 자본화되는 수준도 다르다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Background/Aims: Heart rate variability (HRV) is a method for evaluation of autonomic nervous system activity by expressing the balance of sympathetic and parasympathetic tones. Some studies of HRV in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) have been performed in Korea. However, few have examined kidney transplantation (KT) patients. Therefore, we investigated autonomic nervous system activity by means of HRV in patients with KT due to ESRD. Methods: We compared the pattern of cardiac sympathetic and parasympathetic activity by time- and frequency-domain analysis of HRV with 24-h Holter monitoring of 23 KT and 56 dialysis patients. Patients underwent KT between January, 2008 and June, 2011. Results: The mean ages of KT and dialysis patients were 54.2±12.3 and 53.7±12.6 years, respectively. The KT group showed increased time- and frequency-domain HRV (including HRV index), very low frequency (VLF), means and standard deviations of all normal R-R intervals for all 5-min segments of the entire recording (SDNNi), low frequency (LF), LF in normalized units (LF norm), and LF to high-frequency power ratio, compared with the dialysis group. Conclusions: Autonomic tone in patients with KT is higher than that in patients with ESRD on dialysis. (Korean J Med 2012;83:606-612)
