        타액분비 및 선혈류 조절에 대한 내인성 산화질소의 역할

        The present study was designed to investigate whether endogenous nitric oxide(EDNO) is involved in submandibular vasodilation and salivation induced by parasympathetic nerve stimulation. Effects of $N^w$-nitro-L-arginine-methyl ester (L-NAME) which blocks the synthesis of EDNO from L-arginine on the submandibular vasodilation and salivation induced by chords stimulation or administration of various vasodilators were examined in anesthetized cats. Effect of L-NAME on $K^+$ efflux induced by carbachol was also examined using the excised submandibular slice in vitro. In the submandibular slices, acetylcholine$(10^{-5}\;mol/L)$ or vasoactive intestinal polypeptide$(VIP,\;10^{-5}\;mol/L)$ increased $NO_2$ contents, which was Prevented by pretreatment with L-NAME. Salivary secretion in response to the chords stimulation$(3\;V,\;1\;msec,\;10{\sim}20\;Hz)$ was completely blocked by treatment with atropine(1 mg/kg). Increased blood flow response to the low frequency(1, 2, 5 Hz) stimulation was significantly reduced, whereas the blood flow induced by the higher frequency(10,20 Hz) stimulation was not affected. Lingual-arterial infusion of L-NAME(100 mg/kg) significantly diminished the vasodilatory and salivary responses to the chorda stimulation at all stimuli frequencies used. Intra-arterial infusion of L-NAME(100 mg/kg markedly diminished the vasodilatory responses to acetylcholine$(5\;{\mu}g/kg)$, VIP$(5\;{\mu}g/kg)$ or bradykinin$(5\;{\mu}g/kg)$. In the excised submandibular slice, $K^+$ efflux in response to carbachol$(10^{-5}\;mol/L)$ was significantly decrease by pretreatment with L-NAME$(10^{-5}\;mol/L)$. In the isolated submandibular artery precontracted with phenylephrine$(10^{-5}\;mol/L)$, the vasorelaxation induced by ACh$(10^{-7}\;mol/L)$ was reversed into a contraction by methylene blue$(10^{-4}\;mol/L)$. These results suggest that EDNO may play an important role in vasodilation and secretion of the submandibular gland.

        흰쥐의 Nucleus Raphe Magnus로부터 분리된 신경세포의 전기생리학적 성질

        Neurons in the nucleus raphe magnus are involved in descending modulation of nociceptive transmission. In this study, we attempted to investigate electrophysiological properties of the NRM neurons dissociated from the postnatal rat medulla. The NRM neurons in the coronal slices of and the dissociated neurons from the postnatal rat medullae were immunohistochemically identified using antibody against serotonin. Relatively small number of neurons were positively stained in both preparations. The positively stained neurons displayed large cell body with double or multiple neurites. Using whole-cell patch clamp configuration ionic currents were recorded from the dissociated NRM-like neurons selected by criteria such as size and shape of cell body and cell population. Two types, high- and low-threshold, of voltage-dependent calcium currents were recorded from the dissociated NRM-like neurons. Some neurons displayed both types of calcium currents, whereas others displayed only high-threshold calcium current. Voltage-dependent potassium currents were also recorded from the dissociated NRM neurons. Some neurons displayed both transient outward and delayed rectifier currents but others showed only delayed rectifier current. These results suggest that there are at least two types of calcium currents and two types of potassium currents in the dissociated NRM neurons.

        12주간의 태권체조를 이용한 음악품새훈련이 비만아동의 랩틴과 체력에 미치는 영향

        This study was to analyze the effects of leptin and physical fitness on two different types of??Poomsae exercise with 20 obese children. They were divided into 2 groups such as 10 children with music??Poomsae training group and the other group with general Poomsae training group. Both groups took the 60minutes of??exercise with 60~70%HRmax intensity for 4 times a week during 12 weeks. The results are as follows. First??of all, the music Poomsae training group showed significant changes in weight rather than general Poomsae??training group. Second, the music Poomsae training group showed significant changes in agility, flexibility, muscle??endurance and muscle strength rather than general Poomsae training group. For the balance and power didn't show??any differences. In conclusion, It is considered that the participation in music Poomsae training program with??taekwon-exercise during 12 weeks can helps obese children improve physical fitness, weight.

        다한증 환자에서 흉부교감신경 절단술 시술 전 심박수가 빠른 환자가 술 중 심박수 변화가 심하다

        Background : Thoracoscopic sympathicotomy was thought to be a simple and safe method for hyperhidrosis. There is a significant decrease in heart rate during the procedure, Also it has been suggested that the effect of the degree of sympathetic block on cardiac function was affected by the preoperative level of sympathetic activity. Our hypothesis was that the higher heart rate before sympathicotomy the more heart rate change during the procedure because heart rate is one of the indicators of sympathetic activity. Methods: Sixty two patients with essential hyperhidrosis undergoing thoracoscopic sympathicotomy were studied. During the procedure, we recorded blood pressure at left arm and heart rate after anesthetic induction as baseline values, immediately after left side sympathicotomy, and after right side sym- pathicotomy. Patients were divided by median value of preoperative heart rate (83 beats/min) into group I (n = 32), preoperative heart rate below 83 beats/min, and group II (n =30), above 83 beats/min. Results : The preoperative mean heart rates of group I and 1I were 72 ± 7.9 beats/min and 100 ± 12.5 beats/min respectively. After sympathicotomy, the decrease of heart rate compared to the pre-operative value in Group I was 6.6%, which was significantly lower than that of Group II, 17.6%. After left sympathicotomy, the number of cases of heart rate decreasing more than 10% was higher in Group II (20/30 cases) than Group I (13/32 cases). Conclusions: The main result of this study showed that the higher heart rate before sympathicotomy the more heart rate change during procedure. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2000; 39: 67~71)

      • Plasma Secretin Concentrations in Fasting and Postprandial States of Normal Korean Subjects

        한국의 정상 성인 20 명에서 공복시 및 음식물 섭취후의 철장 secretin농도를 방사면역 측정법(radioimmunoassay)으로 다음과 같이 측정하였다. 20명중 12명은 단백질 음식물인 햄버거와 쌀밥을 일주일 간격으로 섭취하였다. 햄버거 섭취 추 평균 혈장 secretin농도$(12{\sim}16\;pg/ml)$는 공복시의 평균 혈장 secretin농도(10 pg/m1 이하) 보다 유의하게 증가하였으며 그 증가가 오랫동안 지속하였다. 쌀밥의 섭취 후에는 혈장 secretin농도$(9{\sim}13\;pg/ml)$가 공복시의 값보다 증가하는 경향이었으며, 단지 식후 30분의 값에서만 유의하게 증가하였다. 식후 혈장 secretin농도의 증가폭은 햄버거에서의 증가 값이 쌀밥에서의 값보다 더 컸다. 나머지 8명은 자당 용액과 생리 식염수를 마셨다. 자당 용액의 섭취후 평균 혈장 secretin농도$(10{\sim}14\;pg/ml)$는 공복시의 값보다 유의하게 증가하였으나 쌀밥의 값과 마찬가지로 일시적이었다. 그러나 생리 식염수를 섭취한 후에는 혈장 secretin농도에 이렇다할 변화가 없었다. 이상의 결과로 미루어 정상 한국 성인에서는 단백질 음식물은 물론 탄수화물 음식물의 섭취로도 혈장 secretin농도가 증가한다고 사료된다. This study was conducted to investigate fasting plasma secretin and postprandial secretin concentrations after ingestion of a protein meal or a sucrose solution in 20 healthy Korean subjects. In 12 subjects, ingestion of a protein meal, hamburger resulted in a significant and sustained increase in the mean plasma secretin concentrations, from mean fasting levels of less than 10 pg/ml to $12{\sim}16\;pg/ml$, and the mean plasma secretin concentrations, $9{\sim}13\;pg/ml$, after a rice meal increased significantly but transiently compared with mean fasting levels. The magnitude of postprandial increase in the Plasma secretin concentration after the hamburger was greater than that of the rice meal. In the remaining 8 subjects, drinking of a sucrose solution resulted also in a significant but transient increase in the mean Plasma secretin concentrations, from mean fasting levels of less than 10 pg/ml to $10{\sim}14\;pg/ml$ which were significantly greater than that after a physiological saline. Significant increase in the plasma secretin concentration was not observed during the postprandial period after the physiological saline. It is inferred from the above results that the Plasma secretin levels increase significantly after ingestions of a carbohydrate meal as well as a protein meal in the Korean race.

        신혈관성 고혈압 흰쥐 신장과 간자에서 Renin-Angiotensin계 유전자 발현 변화

        The present study was aimed at investigating the molecular regulation of the renin- angiotensin system (RAS) in two-kidney, one clip (2K1C) hypertension. The expression of renin, angiotensinogen and angiotensin II receptor genes was determined by Northern blot analysis in rats made 2K1C hypertensive for 2 or 4 weeks. The expression of renin gene was increased in the clipped kidney and decreased in the contralateral non-clipped kidney at weeks 2 and 4. The expression of angiotensinogen gene was not significantly altered at week 2, but increased at week 4 in the clipped kidney. However, it was not significantly altered in the contralateral kidney either at week 2 or 4. Nor was the expression of angiotensinogen gene significantly altered in the liver either at week 2 or 4. On the other hand, the expression of angiotensin II receptor gene was decreased at week 2, and increased at week 4 in the clipped kidney, whereas it was not significantly changed in the contralateral kidney either at week 2 or 4. In the liver, the expression of angiotensin II receptor gene was not significantly altered at week 2, but decreased at week 4. These results suggest that the components of RAS are transcriptionally regulated in 2K1C hypertension in a manner dependent on tissues and duration of hypertension.

        농촌 공공기반시설 현황 조사 및 문제점 분석

        This investigation aims to provide basic data for rural village planning and rehabilitation planning. Public infrastructures of forty selected villages have been surveyed. Provision of facilities, user satisfaction, perceived problems, and conditions of maintenance have been surveyed for three classified types of infrastructures; 1) public utility spaces such as community hall, and parking lots, 2) public production infrastructures such as warehouses, and irrigation facilities, and 3) public infrastructures for living environments such as roads, water supply, and sewage system. All twenty smaller villages (ki-cho-ma-ul) had problems of poor conditions and insufficient spaces with community halls. Most of the smaller villages suffered from lack of public production infrastructures, or had problems of insufficient spaces and poor maintenance conditions. They also lacked good access roads with adequate right of ways. Only three villages were provided with sewage systems. In the twenty larger villages (myun-so-ma-ul), though public utility spaces were provided for most of them (as an example, sixteen villages had welfare centers), they were not large enough and they were maintained in poor condition too. On the one hand twelve of the larger villages had farm machine service centers, only a few villages were equipped with warehouses. Many more public infrastructures for living environments were found in larger villages. However, only a few villages had pollution control facilities. Multidimensional scaling revealed groups of distinctive characteristics, in terms of public infrastructures, among smaller villages. It did not show any noticeable distinctions among larger villages.
