This case report aims to inform about the side effects of oral appliances and discuss ways to improve them. The patient is a 68-year-old female with occlusal changes caused by using an oral appliance that does not cover all teeth. She has been treated with an oral appliance for one year to improve her pain in the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) area. After treatment, the pain in the TMJ was released, but occlusion changed. Because of her left posterior open bite, she was advised to avoid wearing an oral appliance and to exercise for masticatory muscle strengthening. After one year and six months, occlusal stability improved. It is recommended to wear a complex type of oral appliance that covers all teeth as much as possible only during sleep to avoid side effects.
R-FLHE: 계층적 엣지 컴퓨팅에서 비표적 모델 중독 공격에 강건한 연합학습 프레임워크

연합학습은 데이터 프라이버시를 보장하고 통신 비용을 절감하기 위해 학습된 모델만 수집하는 서버-클라이언트 기반의 분산 학습 방법이다. 최근 엣지 컴퓨팅과 연합학습을 결합하여 미래의 IoT 생태계를 대비한 연구가 진행되고 있지만, 취약성 및 위협을 고려한 연구는 부족하다. 본 논문에서는 비표적 모델 중독 공격으로부터 글로벌 모델이 강건하기 위한 연합학습 프레임워크인 R-FLHE (Robust Federated Learning in Hierarchical Edge computing)를 제안한다. R-FLHE는 클라이언트로부터 학습된 모델을 수집하여 엣지 서버에서 평가하고, 산출된 모델의 손실값을 기반으로 score를 부여한다. R-FLHE는 가장 좋은 score를 가진 엣지 서버의 모델만을 클라우드 서버로 보냄으로써 글로벌 모델의 강건함을 유지한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 R-FLHE는 공격이 발생하더라도 평균 0.81%, 1.88%의 성능 저하만 있을 뿐, 각 연합학습 라운드마다 일정한 성능을 유지하는 강건함을 보인다.

본 연구에서는 소동물의 심근에서 68^Ga-BAPEN PET 영상분석을 통해 심혈 영상 추적자로서의 적용가능성을 보고자 하였다. 소동물용 PET/CT에서 쥐 9마리를 대상으로 120분간의 68^Ga-BAPEN PET/CT 스캔을 시행하였다. 특별히 킷트를 통해 간편하고 저비용으로 68^Ga-BAPEN을 합성이 가능하였다. PET 영상은 쥐의 몸통부분에서 68^Ga-BAPEN의 생체 동적분포를 나타낸다. 68^Ga-BAPEN PET 영상은 처음 수분간 대동맥과 간에서의 섭취가 나타났고 점차 심근에서의 섭취가이루어졌다. 관심영역은 좌심근, 심혈, 폐, 간에 그렸고 시간-방사능 곡선을 얻었다. 시간-방사능 곡선에서 68^Ga-BAPEN 이 쥐 심근에 잘 결합하는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 정확한 약동학적 파라미터 도출을 위한 최소 PET 스캔시간은 타장기와의 영상 대조도가 일정비에 이르는 주사 후 60분이 적합하였다. 이때 심근의 섭취를 심혈, 간, 폐에서의 섭취로 나누어 얻은 영상 대조도는 각각 1.66, 0.60, 2.82였다. 결론적으로 68^Ga-BAPEN은 심근 혈류 질환을 진단하기 위한 추적자로서 적합하며 지속적인 연구가 이루어진다면 임상에서의 진단활용에 도움이 될 것이라 예상된다. The purpose of this study was to analyze 68^Ga-BAPEN dynamic PET image in rat myocardium to evaluate potential of this radiotracer as a perfusion imaging agent. Animal PET/CT scan was done in 9 rats during 120 minutes. Especially we synthesized 68^Ga-BAPEN with kit which is simple and low cost method. PET images showed the in vivo dynamic distribution of 68^Ga-BAPEN in the chest region of rats. Initially 68^Ga-BAPEN PET images showed aorta and liver activities and a few minutes later, 68^Ga-BAPEN moved to myocardium. Regions of interest were drawn on myocardium, liver, lung and blood pool. Time-activity curves showed significant uptake of 68^Ga-BAPEN in myocardium. The contrast ratios of myocardial to blood pool, lung and liver at 60 minutes after injection were 1.66, 2.82 and 0.60. To estimate accurate kinetic parameters, 60 minutes after injection was required to PET scan as myocardium image contrast ratios reached to constant values. As a result, 68^Ga-BAPEN would be suitable radiotracer for PET which can applied to diagnosis of myocardial perfusion diseases after further preclinical and clinical investigations.

Histopathological studies were carried out on the mouse liver and excretory portion of the pancreas after local X-ray irradiation on the liver, and partial hepatectomy. Mice weighing of about 20 gm. were subjected to the experimental work. They were divided into 4 batches: 1,000 R irradiation group, 2,000 R irradiation group, partial hepatectomy group and Sham operation group. Animals were sacrificed according to the scheduled time table of 1, 3, 6, 10, 12, 15 hours, and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 15 days after the above mentioned procedure. Slices of the right lobe of the liver and the entire pancreas were fixed, and the sections were stained with H-E and P. A. S. method. Results obtained are as follows: 1. The most prominent degenerative changes of the liver cells are observed 10 hours after X-ray irradiation in the both X-ray irradiation groups. 2. The most prominent regenerative changes in the liver cells are seen 2-3 days after surgery and then gradually return to normal in the partial hepatectomy group. 3. Degenerative changes in the pancreas are observed 6-10 hours after X-ray irradiation in the both X-ray irradiation groups. 4. The most pronounced degeneratve changes in the pancreas are observed 2 days after surgery in the partial hepatectomy group. 5. The above mentioned findings are suggestive of the possibility of a close relationship between the degenerative changes of the excretory portion of the pancreas and derangement of the hepatic cells.

Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with more rigid hard segments and more flexible soft segments exhibitsstronger microphase separation and stronger microphase separation leads to the better mechanical properties ingeneral. In this study, to obtain TPU with low hardness without sacrificing abrasion resistance and tensile properties,TPU was blended with ethylene-propylene-diene monomer rubber (EPDM) or polybutadiene rubber (BR), which havemore flexibility than the soft segments in TPU. Also, more rigid nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) than the soft segmentsin TPU was blended with TPU for comparison. Even though NBS abrasion resistance, tensile strength and tensile modulusof TPU are much higher than those of EPDM and BR, TPU/EPDM (90/10) and TPU/BR (90/10) blends exhibit thehigher NBS abrasion resistance, tensile strength and tensile modulus, than does of TPU. For TPU/NBR blends, themechanical properties of the blends continuously decrease with increasing content of NBR. Since Tg of EPDM (or BR) islower than that of the soft segments in TPU used in this study, TPU/EPDM (90/10) and TPU/BR (90/10) blends mayresult in the increase of flexibility of the soft segments in TPU, and show the stronger microphase separation, whichis confirmed by the dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA) results.
