Cytauxzoonosis is caused by Cytauxzoon felis (C. felis) in wild and domestic cats. However, cytauxzoonosis is uncommon in Asia. Additionally, clinical reports of C. felis infection along with associated complications are rare. A seven-year-old neutered male Maine Coon cat was presented with acute dyspnea and lethargy despite the absence of a history of overseas travel. Mild regenerative anemia and autoagglutination were detected in hematological investigations. The parasitic and viral PCR assays revealed infection with C. felis and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Thoracic radiographs showed pleural effusion with secondary bacterial infection. Ultimately, a diagnosis of infection-induced secondary immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA) and pyothorax was established. The cat was treated with a combination of atovaquone, prednisolone, and cyclosporine over 6 months and the final treatment was completed 8 months after initiation of therapy. This is the first report of its kind demonstrating successful management of feline IMHA and fatal pyothorax induced by FIV and C. felis in South Korea.

In order to research the water quality of artificial BOSUNG river which is now constructing for multi-purpose dam and water source Chuam DAM and its branch we did in May 1991, Dec. 1991 and the result were as follows: 1. In everywhere pH was 6.6-7.6 and very similar to our general rivers and there is no evidence to change the pH 2. In the investigation DO was 7.4-9.7(May-Oct.) and it was lower than 8.7-12.2 ppm(Nov.-Dec.) 3. BOD was 0.30-2.70 so it was estimated good quality 4. The values of average T-N and T-P showed up 0.131㎎/l, 0.028㎎/l during May, 0.141㎎/l, 0.033㎎/l during June But the analyzed results showed Poor-middle stage below the Eutrophication standard value of RV.Vollenweider. 5. In order to control the water quality of Chuam Dam thoroughly, it needs to minimize the upper inflow pollutants through sewage treatment, farming wastewater treatment, composting, usage decrease of chemical fertilizers and agricultural medicines, and so on For this, it is necessary to assign the waterworks protection area and to establish the special counterplan and the whole responsibility concerning body for control constantly as soon as possible.
장기배양(Organic Culture)을 이용한 건(Tendon) 치유에 관한 실험연구

Repair of the severed flexor tendons within the digital sheath is often followed by the development of dense, unyielding adhesions between the site of repair and the surrounding tissues despite of the meticulous suture technique. The biological principles of flexor tendon healing has been known that tendons lack any intrinsic potential to repair themselves and that vascular adhesions from the surrounding tissues constitute an essential part of it. But recently, there have been many reports to reveal the intrinsic tendon cell capacity for repair and the efficacy of early passive exercise after tendon suture of severed one. The aim the investigation was to study the repair process of tendon specimens in an in vitro environment thus eliminating any possible influence to tendon itself. Digital flexor tendons from the forepaws of the New Zealand white rabbits, weighing 2-3kg, under ether anesthesia were sectioned. The healing process of the sectioned and subsequently sutured tendon segments was studied over a period of 6 weeks, using an organ culture technique. In light micuoscopic (Hematoxylin-Eosin stain & van Gieson stain) and transmission electron microscopic examination on 1,2,4 & 6 weeks after tendon repair, the following results were obtained. : 1. Tendon showed a definite intrinsic capacity for healing. 2. The epitenon cells exhibited proliferation and migration of active fibroblasts with collagen syntheses in the suture sites of severed tendons.

본 논문에서는 연속류 영역과 미끄럼류 영역의 유동을 수치계산하기 위한 혼합 비정렬격자 압력기반해법을 제안한다. 압축성 효과를 반영하는 수정된 SIMPLE법을 비정렬격자 격자점 중심법에 적용하였다. 대류항은 2차의 중앙차분법을 지연수정법으로 이산화 하였으며, 확산항은 2차 정화도의 유사 정렬격자 기법을 사용하였다. 또한, 혼합 비정렬격자에서 기억장소의 절약과 계산 효율을 저하여 모서리 자료구조와 격자점 중심법을 사용하였다. 연속류 영역 뿐 만 아니라, 미끄럼 유동의 벽면에서의 미끄럼 현상을 해석할 수 있도록 미끄럼 경계조건을 부과하였으며, 여기에는 널리 쓰이는 Maxwell 경계조건과 명에 의해 새로이 제안된 Langmuir 경계조건을 사용하였다. 제안된 수치기법을 이용하여 연속류 영역의 유동과 미끄럼류 영역의 유동에 대해 수치 계산을 수행하였으며, 본 기법의 정확도와 효율성을 입증하였다. This paper proposes a pressure based method to compute both continuum flow and slip flow on hybrid unstructured grids. The compressible version of SIMPLE algorithm is extended to unstructured grids. Convection terms are discretized using second order central differencing with deferred correction approach and diffusion terms by second-order structured grids analogy. This method also uses cell vertex scheme with edge based data structure in order for memory savings and computing efficiency for arbitrary grid topologies. As well as continuum flow, slip flows are solved by adopting slip boundary conditions, which are well known Maxwell condition and Langmuir condition recently proposed by Myong.(30) The flows in both continuum regime and slip flow regime are calculated using the above methodology, which shows that the proposed method is well-devised with respect to accuracy and efficiency.

This study investigates the measurement and analysis of aircraft noise around Kwang-ju airport the results were as follows: The Flights per day at the Kwangju Airport are about 20 for civilian passenger airliner and about 40 for military plane but since military planes have irregular flight schedules and frequency, their operation is flexible according to military operations and other conditions. The noise of airplane around the populated area of the Airport indicates a serious situation of around 85 WECPNL in Woosan-dong, Songdae-dong and Shinchon-dong. Noise levels are within the expected noise pollution limits in dukheung-dong, Chipyung-dong and Bonduk-dong. Airplane noise in the density populated areas is lower than 80 WECPNL, the expected the noise pollution levels, and that for military planes is higher than that of civilian passenger airliners by 10 WECPNL and that of Woosan district is the highest of the three districts. In general, the frequency spectrum of military planes is around the 1000~2000Hz band, compared to that of civilian passenger airliners and noise level is higher by over 20dB. This is why the sound of the military plane is much louder and sharper, and it occurs in the frequency band causing sensitive response upon being heard.
