        This study was undertaken to compare the storage characteristics between veal sausage and commercial pork and beef sausages in Korean domestic market. We manufactured 3_types of sausages and purchased 2_types of sausages in the market: T1(B-company product), T2(O-company product) and we made T3(smoked veal sausage), T4(smoked veal sausage with pepper) and T5(cooked veal sausage) products. During 20 days of storage at 4oC, T5 showed significantly higher in TBA value and VBN value (p<0.05). But TBA and VBN values showed normal range in all products. T3, T4, and T5 showed higher total microbial count than T1 and T2 (p<0.05). According to the result, beef and pork sausages in the market showed different total microbial count and VBN values from those made in laboratory. This result could be come from the different additives used and manufacturing processes. However, all products can be stored up to 20 days in the cooler.

        Today, in the industrial society, the urban park is the place for citizens' health, recreation, exercise, and education. It is a very important place as a fine sight and the maintenance of public security. As the results of rapid economic growth during the last thirty years, citizens are in the age of material civilization and are challenged with many serious urban problems such as pollution, noise, traffic congestion, human alienation, etc. Rapid material civilization resulted in citizens' mental and physical diseases. To some of the problems, it is necessary that we should have proper leisure and recreation facilities, and that we should have the active, positive posture to them. Especially, we need the outdoor recreational spaces and facilities. But nowadays the urban park is given little attention in spite of the necessity of the park which should be used as a recreational space in the urban areas. Thus, this study attempts to comprehend the function, quantity and quality of the urban park system in Taegu City. It is clear that the quantity is insufficient. Because of inappropriate disposition and management, its coefficiency of utilization is low.

      • 육우 비선호 부위를 활용한 육우햄의 품질특성

        This study was undertaken to compare the quality characteristics of dairy beef ham. Dairy beef hams were manufactured using non-preferred portion (top round). 5 treatments were prepared: T1(beef 50% + pork emulsion 50%), T2(beef 65%emulsion 35%), T3(beef 80%emulsion 20%), T4(beef 90%emulsion 10%), T5(beef 100%emulsion 0%). In chemical composition, dairy beef content increases, moisture content was increased, fat content was decreased. In the meat quality characteristics, T5 showed higher (p<0.05) water holding capacity value than the others. Dairy beef content increases, product loss and cooking loss were decreased. In hunter color, dairy beef content increases, redness was increased. In texture profile analysis, T4 and T5 were significantly higher than the others. As a result, dairy beef ham with 80~90% dairy beef and 10~20% pork emulsion has low fat content, high product yield and superior texture profile, which could be developed as a dairy beef hams using non-preferred portion.

        음경에 발생한 기저세포암 1예

        Basal cell carcinoma is the most common malignant skin cancer in Korea. The lesions are most frequently found in the head and neck region. But penile basal cell carcinoma is very rare and there are only 29 other reported cases. We report a rare case of basal cell carcinoma of the penis in a 76-year-old man. He had a well circumscribed 1.3㎝×1.3㎝ thick scaly plaque with central ulcer in right penile root area for 4 years. The lesion was completely excised and no recurrence for four months.       • 수중식물과 침전물에 의한 용존산소 변화량 결정 : 하천모델 이용법;a Stream Model Approach

        하천모델을 이용하여 한강 지류인 탄천에서 수초와 침전물에 의한 용존산소 변화량을 측정하였다. 수질자료에 따르면 탄천은 상류의 부영양화 지역 (Eutrophic Zone)과 하류의 강부수성 지역 (Polysaprobic Zone)으로 구분되며 상류는 수초의 광합성과 호흡이, 하류는 침전물 산소요구량이 수중 용존산소 농도 결정에 주 역할을 하고 있다. 하천조사는 1990년5월과 10월 2회에 걸쳐 2일간 연속적으로 실시되었다. 조사 결과 상류의 경우 수초 광합성과 호흡에 의한 매우 큰 용존산소 일주변화가 관찰되었다. 그러나 하류의 경우 침전물 산소요구량이 크고 수초 성장이 없기 때문에 일주변화가 거의 나타나지 않는 매우 낮은 농도가 측정되었다. 1차 조사시 상류에서 수중식물의 광합성량과 호흡양은 각각 55~100g 0₂/m²/day, 30~70g 0₂/m²/day으로 측정되었으며, 2차 조사시 각각 40~80g 0₂/m²/day, 25~55g 0₂/m²/day으로 측정되었다. 하류에서는 침전물 산소요구량이 1차 및 2차 조사시 동일하게 4~100g 0₂/m²/day로 측정되었다. The dissolved oxygen changes caused by aquatic plants and sediments were comput-ed in the Tancheon, a tributary of the HanRiver, by utilizing a stream model. According to the collected water quality conditions, the Tancheon was classified into two distinc-tive zones which were eutrophic zone in upstream area and polysaprobic zone in downstream area. The dissolved oxygen levels of the stream were determined mainly by the photosynthesis and respiration of the macrophytes in upstream area and by the sediment oxygen demand in downstream. Field data were obtained from two synoptic stream surveys performed during May and October, 1990 for two consecutive days The high diurnal dissolved oxygen variation was observed in upstream area due to an excessive growth of aquatic plants. In downstream area, however, little diurnal varia-tion with low dissolved oxygen level was observed, which would be attributed to high sediment oxygen demand and no discernible aquatic plant growth. In upstream area, the dissolved oxygen changes caused by the photosynthesis and respiration were ranged from 55g 100g 0₂/m²/day from 30 to 70 g 0₂/m²/day, respectively, during the first survey. The changes were ranged from 40 to 80g 0₂/m²/day for the photosynthesis and from 25 to 55g 0₂/m²/day for the respiration during the second survey, In downstream area, the sediment oxygen demands were measured from 4 to 100g o₂/m²/day during both surveys.

        암모니아 및 아질산성 질소 산화세균의 분리 및 특성

        본 연구는 폐수 중의 질소 제거를 위한 생물학적 처리용 미생물 개발을 위한 목적으로 질소의 산화 능력이 뛰어난 균주를 분리하였다. 분리된 세균 중에서 질소 산화능과 생육 속도가 뛰어난 CH-N 균주를 선별하였으며, 생리, 생화학적인 특성 조사에 의해 Bacillus sp로 추정되어 Bacillus sp. CH-N이라 명명하였다. 분리 균주는 0.5% glucose가 포함된 초기 pH가 7.0인 암모니아 및 아질산성 질소 함유 배지에서 30시간 배양 후 가가 85%와 90%의 암모니아성과 아질산성 질소가 단시간에 질소의 감소율을 나타내었다. 폐수 및 생활하수에 분리 균주를 이용한 결과, 수질 속의 암모니아성 질소가 단시간에 크게 감소시키는 효과를 확인하였다. 균주를 고정시킨 담체의 질소산화 효과를 시험하고자 Bacillus sp. CH-N을 고정시킨 세라믹 담체를 이용한 결과, 배양 2일 후에는 암모니아성 질소가 전부 제거되었다. In order to improve the system for biological nitrogen oxidizing process in sewage and wastewater, a bacterium having high abilities to oxidize of nitrogen was isolated from wastewater and polluted soils. The strain was identified to Bacillus sp. CH-N, based on the physiological and biochemical properties. Characteristics and oxidizing ability of both ammonia and nitrite were examined for the strain, Bacillus sp. CH-N. The strain showed the oxidizing rate about 80% to 90% on the sewage and wastewater after 48 h culture. The nitrogen oxidizing rate was increased in proportion to the initial concentration of glucose. The microorganism, Bacillus sp. CH-N cell immobilized on ceramic carrier were evaluated for the oxidation of ammonia in culture media.
