Electro-rheological fluid is recently used for the micro polishing of 3-dimensional micro-aspherical lens. It's also used for polishing small area defects on the wide flat wafer. Since ER fluid shows a behavior of viscosity changing under certain electric fields, micro polishing efficiency may be enhanced for certain cases. In this paper, a perfluorinated carbonyl fluoride oil based ER fluids was used to improve surface polishing rate and submicron-scale accuracy. As the polishing electrodes, micro size cylindrical tools had been used for maximizing the electric field. An experimental device, which was applied for micro polishing a number of wafers of 4 inches in size and other workpieces, was made on a precision polishing system. It consisted of a steel electrode, a wafer fixture, 10mA current and DC 5kV power supply unit, and a controller unit. From the Experiments, the ER fluid is applicable for micro polishing of small parts.

In order to design continuous-time filter, active RC filters are used as the basic configurations. Starting from this design method, we encounter two main problems that large resistor areas consumed and device or component match required. To solve these problems, this paper explores the design and application of the CMOS differential difference amplifier(DDA). The applications of the DDA, particularly in continuous-time filters, may result in economic and compact structures with no matching requirements for MOS nolinearity cancellation. In this paper, the design of DDA with a wide linear input range is used two linear transconductance element and a MOSIS 2㎛ CMOS parameter. In order to test the performance of the designed DDA, the DDA based application circuits which connected as a voltage inverter, level shifter and modulator are simulated by SPICE.

A strengthening technique for reinforced concrete beams using external unbonded reinforcement offers advantages in speed and simplicity of installation over other, established, strengthening techniques. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the capabilities of a new retrofitting technique, namely external prestressing(Bow), for flexural strengthening of beams. The paper provides a general description of structural behavior of beams strengthened using the technique. Results of 2 physical tests on strengthened reinforced concrete continuous beams are reported and compared. It is shown that the technique can provide greater strength enhancement to lightly reinforced sections and that provision of deflectors enhances efficiency.

In this treatise, make anaphora can present ideal dies basis design using CFdesign that is heat & flow analysis programs so that can produce detailed product through pipe channel flow analysis of stable dies applying anaphora value of do polymer raw material in Screw.
Changes in Brain Activity of Rats due to Exposure to Fine Dust Using ¹⁸F-FDG PET

Fine dust threatens human health in various forms, depending on the particle size, such as by causing respiratory, cardiovascular, and brain diseases, after entering the body via the lungs. The aim of this study was to correlate fine dust exposure with changes in brain blood flow in Sprague Dawley rats by using micro-positron emission tomography and elucidate the possibility of developing cerebrovascular diseases caused by fine dust. The subjects were exposured to an average fine dust (particulate matter 2.5) of 206.2 ± 7.74 to ten rats four times a day, twice a day for 90 min. Before the experiment, they were maintained at NPO to the maximize the intake of 18F-fluorodeoxy glucose(18F-FDG) and minimize changes in the 18F-FDG biomass depending on the ambient environment and body temperature of the rats. PET images were acquired in the list mode 40 min after injecting 18F-FDG 44.4 MBq into the rats tail vein using a micro-PET scanner pre and post exposure to fine dust. We found that the whole brain level of 18F-FDG standardized uptake value in rats averaged 5.21 ± 0.52 g/mL pre and 4.22 ± 0.48 g/mL post exposure to fine dust, resulting in a statistically significant difference. Fine dust was able to alter brain activity after entering the body via the lungs in various forms depending on the particle size.

This paper is an experimental study on the freezing protection valve used for solar water heating, air-conditioning systems, and plumbing systems. When the phase change occurs from liquidto solid, most of the substances except water volumetrically shrink. And referred to as PCM(Phase Change Material)a substance with such properties, the phase change temperature varies depending on the material. To prevent the freezing of the plumbing system, such as air-conditioning system in the winter season, we developed a several types of freezing protection valve using PCM whose freezing temperature are 2-4℃. The working principle of the freezing protection valve is that the fluid inside the pipe is released to prevent the system-collapse when fluid temperature reaches the freezing temperature of the PCM. And then the valve is closed and returned to the original position automatically when the temperature of the operating fluidrises. In this paper, the operating temperatures, discharge flow rate and the response characteristics of the valve during the operation are tested and investigated. From the results of this research the freezing protection valves employing PCM are expected to be commercialized in the near future.

인원 계수 시스템은 산업 현장 등 복잡한 구조 내에서 다양한 형태의 작업자(짐을 지고 있는 경우, 양 방향에서 오가는 경우 등)의 출입 및 재실인원 정보를 파악하기 위해 만든 안전장치이다. 본 논문에서는 이 시스템의 정확한 작동을 위해 CMOS 이미지 센서를 활용한 영상데이터 라벨링 기법, YOLO를 통한 영상AI학습 방법(Making Box), People Counting 알고리즘을 소개한다.

Matrix metalloproteinases-9 (MMP-9) plays an important role in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) after an arterial injury. In this study, we investigated the potential molecular mechanisms underlying the anti-atheroscleroic effects ofmelittin, a major component of bee venom, in human aortic smooth muscle cells (HASMCs). Melttin significantly suppressed MMP-9 and MMP-2 secretion, as well as TNF-α-induced MMP-9 expression in the HASMCs. In addition, we found that the inhibitory effects of melittin on TNF-α-induced MMP-9 protein expression are associated with the inhibition of MMP-9 transcription levels. Mechanistically, Melittin suppressed TNF-α-induced MMP-9 activity by inhibiting the phosphorylation of p38 and ERK1/2, but did not affect the phosphorylation of JNK and Akt. Reporter gene and western blotting assays showed that melittin inhibits MMP-9 transcriptional activity by blocking the activation of NF-κB via IκBα signaling pathway. Moreover, the matrigel migration assay showed that melittin reduced TNF-α-induced HASMC migration. These results suggest that melittin suppresses TNF-α-induced HASMC migration through the selective inhibition of MMP-9 expression and provide a novel role of melittin in the anti-atherosclerotic action.ⓒ2012Elsevier Ltd. 가변 제어형 식용 풋옥수수 수확기 개발을 위한 적정 작업속도 분석

국민 식습관 변화로 인해 쌀 소비 감소에 따른 논 밭작물 재배 확대가 늘어나는 추세로 밭작물 중 식용 풋옥수수가 경쟁력 있는 품목으로 주목받고 있다. 하지만 풋옥수수 주요 재배작업 중 파종ㆍ정식 작업은 보급중인 농기계로 작업이 가능하지만 재배에 필요한 시간(58.6시간/10a) 중 가장 큰 비중(27.6%)을 차지하는 수확 작업은 인력으로 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 설계ㆍ제작한 가변 제어형 식용 풋옥수수 수확기의 적정 작업속도를 구명하는데 목적이 있다. 적정 작업속도 도출을 위한 성능시험은 경남 밀양시 국립식량과 학원 남부작물부 소재 포장에서 일미찰 품종을 대상으로 실시하였으며, 107 kW급 트랙터를 이용하여 PTO 540 rpm, 엔진 1,500 rpm으로 고정하고, 초저속 2단, 초저속 3단, 초저속 4단 3수준을 시험 요인으로 설정하였다. 수확기의 구동조건은 줄기 이송속도 0.25 m/s, 탈과용 롤러의 회전속도 180 rpm으로 고정하였다. 시험은 10 m 구간 작업 후 탈과율, 수집률, 손상률을 조사하였으며, 요인당 3반복 실시하였다. 작업속도에 따른 수확성능 유의성을 검정하기 위해 5% 유의수준에서 일원배치 분산분석(One-way Anova)을 실시하였다. 작업속도 측정 결과 초저속 2단은 0.10 m/s, 초저속 3단은 0.13 m/s, 초저속 4단은 0.17 m/s로 나타났다. 탈과율은 작업속도 0.10, 0.13, 0.17 m/s에서 98.20, 98.22, 97.37%로 나타났으며, 통계분석결과 작업속도에 따른 유의차가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 수집률의 경우, 0.10 m/s에서 89.03%, 0.13 m/s에서 92.44%, 0.17 m/s에서 88.60%로 나타나 0.13 m/s의 속도 요인이 다른 요인 대비 수집률이 3% 높게 나타났지만, 검정결과 유의성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 손상률은 0.10 m/s에서 1.80%, 0.13 m/s에서 1.78%, 0.17 m/s에서 2.63%로 나타났으며 탈과율, 수집률과 마찬가지로 작업속도의 영향은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 시작기의 수확성능을 고려하였을때, 0.13 m/s가 적정 작업속도라고 판단된다.
