        한,일 기업문화의 비교연구 -갈등관리 관점을 중심으로-

        The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of Korean and Japanese corporate cultures on internal communication, conflict management, and performance, thereby seeking an understanding of the two countries`` corporate cultures and ways to establish good strategies for future corporate management. To this end, corporate culture was used as the independent variable, while group culture, innovative culture, hierarchical culture, and rational culture were set as its sub-dimensions. Moreover, internal communication and conflict management were used as parameters. Internal communication was composed of shared values, work communications, and campaign, while conflict management consisted of prevention, resolution, and stimulation. Management performance was used as the dependent variable, which was comprised of non-financial and financial factors. The non-financial factors included employee performance, process performance, quality performance and customer performance, while financial performance perceived by employees was used as the only financial factor. The following results were obtained through this research model. First, the comparison between Korean and Japanese corporate cultures revealed that Korean companies had stronger tendencies of group culture, innovative culture, hierarchical culture, and rational culture. Second, according to the analysis of the effects of corporate culture on internal communication, Korean companies with group and innovative cultures displayed smooth internal communication. In contrast, Japanese companies with an innovative culture showed smooth internal communication, while those with a rational culture did not. Third, according to the analysis of the effects of corporate culture on conflict management, group, innovative, and hierarchical cultures were positively associated with conflict resolution in Korean companies. In Japanese companies, on the other hand, rational and hierarchical cultures negatively influenced conflict management. Fourth, the analysis of the effects of corporate culture on management performance revealed that group and innovative cultures led to a high level of non-financial performance in Korean companies. In Japanese companies, group and innovative cultures resulted in a high level of non-financial performance, while rational and hierarchical cultures decreased non-financial performance. When it comes to financial performance, in both Korean and Japanese companies, group and innovative cultures had positive effects, while a rational culture had an adverse effect in Japanese companies. Fifth, the analysis of internal communication on conflict management showed that shared values, work communication, and campaign, which are the sub-factors of internal communication, positively influenced conflict management in Korean companies. In Japanese companies, however, campaign had a positive effect in many ways, while work communication was negatively related to conflict management. Sixth, according to the analysis of the effects of internal communication on management performance, all of the sub-factors of internal communication―shared values, work communication, and campaign―had positive effects on management performance in Korean companies. In japanese companies, on the other hand, shared values and campaign positively influenced non-financial performance, while work communication did not have any direct impact. Seventh, according to the analysis of the effects of conflict management on management performance, in Korean companies, prevention among the sub-variables of conflict management had a positive influence on employee performance, process performance, and quality performance. Moreover, prevention and stimulation positively influenced customer performance and financial performance. In contrast, in Japanese companies, conflict management through prevention stimulation had a positive effect on management performance. Instead, conflict management through resolution negatively influenced management performance.

        관리자의 성별과 조직우선주의가 의사소통애로에 미치는 영향

        The current study used 2008 and 2010 Korean Women Manager Panel(KWMP) to examine the interactions between submissive loyalty to organization and gender on communication difficulty of company managers. The sample of the present study includes 2,358 managers from 2nd KWMP in 2008 and 1,784 managers from 3rd KWMP in 2010. Company managers’ submissive loyalty to organization is positively related to communication difficulty of company managers. Manager gender significantly influences the effects of submissive loyalty to organization on communication difficulty of company managers. Specifically, compared to female managers, male managers experience communication difficulty with female colleagues and subordinates. Male managers also experience communication difficulty with subordinates. The results of current study suggest that improving communication abilities of male managers may ameliorate communication difficulty when they need to collaborate with colleagues and subordinates to achieve team and organizational outcomes. 현 연구는 2008년과 2010년에 조사된 여성관리자패널을 대상으로 관리자의 성별이 조직을우선시하는 문화와 부하직원과 직장동료와의 의사소통애로에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 지 조사하였다. 2008년 2차여성관리자패널조사 2,358명 2010년 3차관리자패널조사 1,784명의 관리자를 대상으로 분석한 결과 조직우선시문화가 높은 직장에서 관리자는 동료부하직원과의 의사소통에 있어서 애로사항을 경험하게 되었다. 조직우선주의가 높은 직장에서 여성관리자는 남성관리자와 비교하여 여성동료부하직원과 유의미하게 낮은 수준의 의사소통애로를 경험한다고나타났다. 여성관리자가 팀 그리고 조직의 리더로서 동료부하직원들의 요구를 세심하게 개별적으로 배려하면서 이들의 직장생활과 업무성과를 적극적으로 지원하는 관계지향적 리더십을발휘하면 조직 내에서 조직우선주의문화를 개선시키는 중심적 역할을 수행할 수 있다. 따라서, 여성관리자가 관계지향적 리더십을 발휘할 수 있는 환경을 조성하여 조직우선주의의 부정적측면을 효과적으로 통제할 수 있는 방안을 모색하여야 한다.

        도서지역 호텔 관리자의 커뮤니케이션 스타일이 종사원의 상사신뢰, 상사충성도 및 직무몰입에 미치는 영향

        This paper examines the influence of hotel employer's organizational communication on his employees' trust in the supervisor, and the relationship between hotel workers' trust in their supervisor and their commitment to work or the supervisor. This paper also provides support for hotel employer's good decision in human resource management. This is because employers and employees at hotels on the islands of South Korea need to increase labor-management cooperation to achieve their personal goals as well as organizational objectives. One of the most common cooperative efforts is communication between a hotel employer and his employees. Hotel employer's careful attention to organizational communication affects myriad factors, such as corporate culture, level of trust in supervisors and job satisfaction. Hotel employer's role in organizational communication largely determines a change in the attitudes and values of employees, such as employees' commitment to organization. To explore the relationship between hotel employer's role in organizational communication and hotel employees' attitudes, a survey of employee perception was conducted in this paper. The purpose of the survey is to examine perception and reactions of 242 workers at four hotels located on islands area of South Korea. Thus, this paper categorizes four different communication styles of hotel employers: trust-type, professional-type, cooperation-type and control-type communication style. The following are the results of this paper. First, the result of this paper presents that both professional-type and trust-type communication style of hotel employers are positively correlated with hotel employees' trust in their supervisors. On the other hand, either cooperation-type or control-type communication style of hotel employers does not have any impact on hotel employees' trust in supervisors. Second, hotel employees' trust in their supervisors is positively correlated with hotel workers' loyalty to their superintendents. Third, hotel employees' trust in their supervisors is positively correlated with the workers' commitment to work. Hence, the findings of this paper suggest that hotel employees show a higher level of trust in their supervisors when they are satisfied with their supervisor's communication style and fully informed of the tools and knowledge to work in the hotel industry. Therefore, one major implication of this study is to clarify the effect of hotel employer's communication styles on his workers' trust in supervisors and the relationship between hotel employees' trust in supervisors and their loyalty to work or supervisors with the perspectives of hotel workers. Another significant implication is to provide the basis for specific research propositions and suggestions for human resource management in the hotel industry.

        도서관 관리자의 커뮤니케이션 능력이 직원들의 주관적 직무성과와 역할갈등에 미치는 영향

        The library manager’s communication ability can influence organizational management because the types and ways of organizational management is carried out can be determined by the manager’s communication ability. In that, this study intends to examine the influence of the library manager’s communication ability on job performance and role-conflict of the library staff. To do so, on top of the conceptual framework of communication and the library as an organization, this study builds theoretical underpinnings on the library manager’s communication ability, job performance and role-conflict of the library staff. Using a questionnaire survey method, this study surveys 127 library staff from 8 public libraries in Seoul, statistically analyzes the response through the SPSS20 statistical package, and examines the relationship between and among the variables. Based on the analysis, a discussion on the influence of the library manager’s communication ability on job performance and role-conflict of the library staff follows. 도서관 관리자의 커뮤니케이션 능력은 조직의 운영에 영향을 미치는 것으로, 관리자가 어떠한 커뮤니케이션 능력을 보이느냐에 따라 조직의 구성원들을 독려하거나 조직을 운영하는 방식이 달라질 수 있기 때문에 중요한 의미를 가지게 된다. 이에 본 연구는 도서관 관리자의 커뮤니케이션 능력이 직원의 직무성과와 역할갈등에 미치는 영향에 대해서 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위하여 경영조직으로서의 도서관과 커뮤니케이션에 관한 개념적 배경을 바탕으로, 도서관 관리자의 커뮤니케이션 능력, 직무성과 그리고 역할갈등에 대한 이론적 근거를 마련하였다. 그리고 본 연구는 설문조사법을 이용하여 서울시에 소재한 8개 공공도서관에 근무하는 사서 127명을 대상으로 조사를 실시하였다. 조사된 설문내용은 SPSS 20 통계패키지를 이용한 통계분석으로 처리하여 각 변인간의 관계를 분석하였다. 그리고 이러한 분석결과를 바탕으로 도서관 관리자의 커뮤니케이션 능력이 직원의 직무성과와 역할갈등에 미치는 영향에 대한 토론을 전개하였다.

        한식레스토랑의 매니저리더십이 직무태도 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 한식레스토랑의 매니저리더십인 변혁적 리더십과 거래적 리더십이 직무태도인 조직몰입, 이직의도, 직무만족에 미치는 영향관계에서 의사소통의 매개역할에 대하여 분석하 였다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 조사한 내용을 바탕으로 구성된 표본은 서울, 경기지 역에서 운영하고 있는 H 브랜드 한식레스토랑에 근무하고 있는 종사원을 대상으로 하였다. 설문조사는 2016년 5월 6일부터 3주간 실시하였으며 총 200부의 설문지를 배포하여 184명이 응답을 하였으며 다음과 같은 결과를 발견하였다. 첫째, 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 요인분석과 신뢰도분석을 실시하여 매니저리더십과 직무태도를 변혁적 리더십, 거래적 리더십, 조직몰입, 이직의사, 그리고 직무만족으로 도출하였으며 이들 요인들의 신뢰도가 높은 것으로 나타났 다. 둘째. 변혁적 리더십이 직무태도(조직몰입, 이직의사, 직무만족)에 미치는 영향관계에 있 어서 의사소통이 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 매니저와 직원사이의 의사소통이 개방 적으로 활발히 개진된다면 직원의 직무몰입과 직무만족도가 자연스럽게 높아질 것이다. 셋 째. 거래적 리더십이 직무태도(조직몰입, 이직의사, 직무만족)에 미치는 영향관계에 있어서 의사소통이 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 매니저나 점장으로 대변되는 책임경영체제 아래서는 업무가 효율적으로 이루어지기 위해 의사소통이 더욱 긴요한 실정이다. 레스토랑 조직 내의 효과적이고 기만한 의사소통을 꼽을 수 있으며 이러한 효과적이 의사소통 과정 이 매니저의 거래적 리더십을 잘 발휘할 수 있게 하는 것이다. This study analyzed effects of Korean restaurant manager's leadership type on Job attitude, and turnover intention with the mediating effects of communication, Therefore, Inorder to achieve the object of the study, the samples configured based on the content examined, and were targeted at employees of H brand Korean restaurants in Seoul and Gy eonggi area. The survey was conducted three weeks from 6 May 2016, and a total of 2000 questionnaires were distributed and respondents were 166 people, The following was found as a result. Based on the theoretical background, conducted a factor analysis and reliability analysis, and managers leaders hip and job attitude was derived to the factors which were transformational leadership, transactional leadership and organizational commitment, turnover intention, job satisfaction. The reliability of those factors were higher. First, the effect s of transformational leadership on job attitude(organizational commitment, turnover intention, and jobs atisfac tion) communi cation was mediated by the role. If the communication between managers and employees actively put forward, the duties of the employee commitment and jobs atisfaction will in crease naturally. Second, The effects of transactional leadership on job attitude(organizational commitment, turnover intention, and jobs atisfaction) communication was mediated by the role. Under the management of the manager system, to get the duties done efficiently communication is a more criticals ituation. As most essential element to contribute to achieving objectives restaurants, effective and a deceptive communication with in organizations of restaurants. The process of effective communication will be able to show the transactional leadership manager's competence

        질병 낙인과 낙인 관리 커뮤니케이션이 건강소통의지에 미치는 영향: 비만 이슈를 중심으로

        Objectives The purpose of this study is to find out how prejudice against illness and social response to it affect the willingness to communicate about health. To this end, obesity was selected as stigmatized illness, and the types of stigma management communication was categorized theoretically guided by stigma management communication theory. Method A survey was conducted on research panels registered in an online research company. Based on the number of samples calculated by considering the ratio of obese and non-obese people in the overall population, proportional sampling was performed by gender and body mass index (BMI). The structural equation model was established, and the path difference between obese and non-obese people was examined. Result Stigma management communication for obesity stigma was categorized into six dimensions: challenging, avoiding, transcending, appeasing, provocating, and accepting. Prejudice against obesity affects challenging, avoiding, transcending dimensions and appeasing communication. As the obesity issues is perceived as a specific illness, avoiding, transcending, and appeasing communication are strengthened. As the transcendental communication for obesity stigma increased, the willingness to communicate about health decreased. And as the provocating and accepting communication increased, the willingness to communicate about health increased. By examining the similarities and differences between the obese and non-obese people, we discussed the implications of obesity as an illness, stigma, and stigma management communication. Conclusion In this study, obesity stigma management communication for enhancing the willingness to commuicate about health was typified by exploring the relationship between obesity and obesity as an illness. By examining the commonalities and differences between obese and non-obese people, it was suggested that the willingness to communicate about health can vary depending on how the obesity stigma is managed, and it is necessary to understand obesity as an illness in order to increase the willingness to communicate about health. 배경 및 목적 본 연구는 질병에 대한 편견과 이에 대한 사회적 반응이 건강소통의지에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위한 질병 이슈로 비만을 선정하고, 비만낙인에 대한 반응과 대처가 어떻게 나타나는지를 바탕으로낙인 관리 커뮤니케이션을 유형화했다. 비만인과 비비만인의 낙인 관리 커뮤니케이션이 건강소통의지에 어떤영향을 미치는지 그 차이 검토를 통해 긍정적 건강결과를 위한 건강소통에서 낙인과 낙인 관리 커뮤니케이션이갖는 의미에 대해 검토하고자 한다. 방법 온라인 조사회사에 등록한 연구패널을 대상으로 서베이를 실시했다. 인구전반 비만인과 비비만인의 비율을 고려하여 산출한 표본수에 기반하여, 성별과 체질량지수(BMI, Body Mass Index)에 의한 비례할당표집을 실시했다. 구조방정식 모형을 설정하고, 경로분석과 조절효과 분석을 통해 비만인과 비비만인의 경로 차이를 검토했다. 결과 비만 낙인에 대한 관리 커뮤니케이션은 도전, 회피, 초월, 회유, 도발, 수용이라는 6개 차원으로 유형화되었다. 비만에 대한 편견은 도전, 회피, 초월, 회유적 관리 커뮤니케이션에 영향을 미치고, 질병으로서 비만에 대한 인식이 클수록, 회피, 초월, 회유적 낙인 관리 커뮤니케이션이 강화되는 것으로 나타났다. 비만 낙인에 대한 초월적관리 커뮤니케이션이 증대될수록 건강소통의지는 감소하는 반면, 도발과 수용적 관리 커뮤니케이션이 증대될수록 건강소통의지는 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 비만 낙인 관리 커뮤니케이션에 대한 비만인과 비비만인의 차이를검토한 결과, 비만인은 비만 낙인이 클수록 초월적 관리 커뮤니케이션을 더 많이 하며, 비비만인은 비만을 심각한질병으로 인식할수록 도전적 관리 커뮤니케이션이 줄어드는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 및 논의 본 연구에서는 질병으로서 비만과 비만에 대한 낙인 관리 커뮤니케이션의 관련성을 탐구함으로써 건강소통의지함양을 위한 비만 낙인 관리 커뮤니케이션을 유형화했다. 비만인과 비비만인의 공통점과 차이점에 대한 검토를통해 비만낙인을 어떻게 관리하는가에 따라 건강소통의지는 달라질 수 있으며 건강소통의지를 높이기 위해서는질병으로서 비만에 대한 이해가 필요함을 제안했다.

        출판사 조직구성원의 체면민감성, 인상관리동기, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움이 커뮤니케이션 불안감에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 체면민감성, 인상관리동기, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움이 출판사 조직구성원의 커뮤니케이션 불안감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 밝히는데 목적을 두었다. 인상관리동기는 타인의식 인상관리, 자기의식 인상관리 유형으로 나누어 살펴보았으며, 커뮤니케이션 불안감은 대화불안, 스피치불안, 회의불안, 그룹불안으로 파악하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 체면민감성은 4가지의 모든 불안감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 체면민감성이 높을수록 커뮤니케이션 불안감이 높았다. 둘째, 인상관리동기의 경우 자기의식 인상관리 동기가 낮고 타인의식 인상관리동기가 높을수록 커뮤니케이션 불안감이 큰 것으로 밝혀졌다. 셋째, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움이 높은 조직구성원들이 상대적으로 커뮤니케이션 불안감이 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 넷째, 체면민감성, 자기의식 인상관리동기, 타인의식 인상관리동기, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움 중에서 자기의식 인상관리동기가 커뮤니케이션 불안감을 가장 잘 설명하고 예측하는 변인으로 밝혀졌다. 그 다음 체면민감성이 커뮤니케이션 불안감에 영향을 미치는 변인으로 드러났다. 따라서 자기의식 인상관리동기가 낮고 체면민감성이 높은 조직구성원일수록 커뮤니케이션 불안감이 높다고 볼 수 있다. The current study examined the relationship between the publishing industry followers" chemyon(social face sensitivity), impression management, and fear to the negative evaluation on their communication apprehension. Communication apprehension includes conversation apprehension, group apprehension, meeting apprehension, and speech apprehension. Results showed that chemyon(social face sensitivity), impression management, and fear to the negative evaluation affect communication apprehension. In detail, the more face sensitivity was, the more communication apprehension was. Secondly, the more ‘others-oriented impression management’ was, the more communication apprehension was. Whereas, the more ‘me-oriented impression management’ was, the less communication apprehension was. Thirdly, the more fear to negative evaluation of publishing industry followers was, the more communication apprehension was. Fourthly, ‘me-oriented impression management’ was the predictable variable which could explain the communication apprehension among chemyon sensitivity, ‘others-oriented impression management’, ‘me-oriented impression management’, and fear to negative evaluation. The chemyon sensitivity was another major predictable variable. Therefore, we could estimate that publishing industry followers who are low in ‘me-oriented impression management’ and high in chemyon sensitivity would show high communication apprehension.

        공정성이 지방자치단체 공무원의 성과관리제도 인식에 미치는 영향 : 의사소통의 조절효과를 중심으로

        Communication considered to be a major factor in influencing performance management relates closely to fairness. In this regard, the empirical analysis of the relationship between communication and fairness has not been conducted. Therefore, this study examined the various factors influencing the perception to the performance management system by focusing on the communication`s moderating effect among organizational members. According to the results we examined, the influential factors such as fairness, awareness to the system mechanism, education, job status and communication remained statistically significant in all models, whereas the departmental characteristics within organization were negatively influencing the perception to the performance management system only in terms of the distributive fairness model. This indicates too that the perception on the performance management system does not change, despite both conditions of the same level of distributive fairness and the active interaction in communication. Meanwhile, procedural fairness strengthened the staff`s positive perception on the performance management system, when considered in terms of activating the communication among organizational members. In conclusion, it is necessary to more strengthen the procedural fairness, in order to make the performance management system effective, by invigorating the interactive communication between the organizational staff in comprehensive operational process of the system.

      • 카지노 관리자의 커뮤니케이션 유형이 종사원의 자기효능감과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향

        Purpose: This study purposes how communication style affects self-efficacy and organizational commitment in casino manager. Method: In this empirical study, the survey was carried out targeting employee in casino questionnaires were collected for analysis using the SPSS(23.0) statistical package program and AMOS(23.0). Results: It studied whether the communication style does influence relation between the self-efficacy and the organizational commitment. First, as a result of validating whether the communication style directly affects the organizational commitment, the research finds that the communication style has a positive and statistically significant effect on the organizational commitment in casino manager. Second, as a result of validating the moderating effect of self-efficacy on the relationship between communication style in casino manager's and organizational commitment, the relationship between communication style and organizational commitment is statistically significant, but the relationship between self-efficacy and organizational commitment is not statistically significant. Conclusion: Consequently, it carried out examination about the effect on casino employee caused by communication style are effective system to enhance organizational commitment.

        Factors Affecting Manageability of L2 Communication Problems and Its Influence on the Choice of Achievement/Avoidance Communication Strategies

        Communication strategies (CSs) have been reported to play an important role in managing problems encountered during L2 communication. This qualitative study explored what factors affected L2 learners’ manageability of communication problems and how it influenced their choice between achievement and avoidance CSs. The participants were Korean students studying in a university in the USA with various student status. The data were collected from interviews, natural conversations recorded in various settings, and stimulated recalls on the recorded conversations. Through the inductive analysis of the data, this study found that L2 learners’ perceived manageability was affected by various factors: (1) the complexity of the problem, (2) message factors (the nature of the message, the illocutionary force of the message), (3) participant factors (the participant’s language proficiency, the participant’s experience with the problem and the expression), and (4) interlocutor factors (the interlocutor’s language proficiency, the interlocutor’s background knowledge). In addition, this study revealed that L2 learners’ manageability affected their choice of achievement and avoidance CSs. Drawing on the findings, this study also provided L2 educators with pedagogical suggestions that can contribute to increasing L2 learners’ manageability of communication problems, making them choose an achievement CS rather than an avoidance CS, and helping them manage their communication problems more successfully.
