A<sup>2</sup>/O공정과 수정 Phostrip공정과의 질소 및 인제거 특성비교

An experimental study for the comparison of nitrogen and phosphorus removal efficiencies between $A^2/O$ and modified Phostrip (M-Phostrip process) were carried out with bench-scale reactors. In case of nitrogen removal efficiencies both of processes showed similar ones when influent organic loadings were high. However, M-phostrip process was more effective than $A^2/O$ at low organic loadings. This is why M-phostrip process consumes the whole mass of influent organics as a carbon sources for denitrification in anoxic reactor but the anoxic reactor of $A^2/O$ process utilizes the residual carbon followed by consumming a part of influent carbon for phosphorus release in anaerobic reactor. $A^2/O$ process required the influent COD/T-P and COD/TKN ratios were more than 56 and 10, respectively, to take place the phosphorus release in anaerobic process and phosphorus uptake in oxic process. However, the luxury uptake of phosphorus in M-phostrip process was not affected by influent COD/T-P and COD/TKN ratios and the adverse effect of nitrate in return sludge introduced to the p-stripper from the 2nd clarifier was not significant due to the configurational advantage of the p-stripper.

In order to study on the variational characteristics of water quality and chlorophyll a concentration, the water samples were collected daily or three times a week during the period from April 1990 to November 1991 at Kukdong port located in the Northern Kamak bay of Southern Korea I made an analysis on biological factor as chlorophyll a concentration as well as physico-chemical factors such as water temperature, salinity, sigma-t, dissolved oxygen, nutrients (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, and silicate), N/P ratio and chemical oxygen demand. In Northern Kamak bay seasonal variations in physical factors such as water temperature, salinity and sigma-t were very marked. On the other hand, chemical factors such as nutrients concentration and COD were not so. Chemical factors, in particular, silicate were influenced by input of freshwater. And the roles of silicate on the seasonal succession of phytoplankton species composition was very low. Phytoplankton biomass as measured by chlorophyll a concentration was very high all the year round, and it was controlled by the combination of several factors, especially of N/P ratio determined by dissolved inorganic nitrogen.

This study was focused on the investigation of the characteristics of organics and nitrogen removal with the recycle ratio in anoxic/oxic(A/O) packed bed process that consisted of the anoxic reactor and the aerobic reactor. As increasing the recycle ratio by 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, the COD removal efficiency increased by 94.0%, 98.5%, 98.8% respectively. The aerobic reactor showed the perfect nitrification efficiency by 98.5% 99.2%, 98.0% respectively. the T-N removal efficiency with the recycle ratio, increased by 56%, 67%, 70% respectively. As increasing the recycle ratio by 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, T-P removal efficiency decreased by 62.1%, 57.4%, 51.3% respectively. The process by releasing the stored phosphours in the anoxic reactor and uptaking the excess phosphours in the aerobic reactor, occurred well comparatively when recycle ratio is 0.5. But this process did not occur when the recycle ratio is 1.0 and 2.0. And optimum pH of nitrification was about 6~7 and alkalinity decreased as nitrification rate increased. As increasing the recycle ratio in the anoxic reactor, DO concentration and ORP increased.

We compared the nutritional requirements of whole larvae of the black seabream Acanthopagrus schlegeli, sweet fish Plecoglossus altivelis, olive flounder Paralichthys olivaeus and rock fish Sebastes schlegeli. The larvae were 20, 30, 14and 5 DAH (or spawning) of black seabream, sweet fish, olive flounder and rock fish, respectively. Specific α-amylase activity (mU/mg protein) was highest (8,324.9 mU/mg protein) in rock fish larvae (P<0.05). Specific trypsin-like protease activity was highest (11,330.1 mU/mg protein) in black seabream larvae (P<0.05), which also exhibited the highest activity, 685.5 mU/mg dry weight (P<0.05). The specific activities per mg protein and mg dry weight of black seabream were the highest (187.4 mU/mg protein and 11.3 mU/mg dry weight, respectively) (P<0.05). A/P, P/L and A/L ratios of rock fish were 1.47, 90.3 and 133.1, respectively (P<0.05). We present here basic larval digestive enzymatic nutritional requirement data.
한의학적 치료로 호전된 경추척수증 환자의 영상의학적 변화 1례

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effecacy of Korean medical treatments on cervical myelopathy patient diagnosed by magnetic resonance imaging(MRI). Methods : The patient was treated by Korean medical treatments including acupunture, pharmacopuncture, herbal medicine, cervical traction technique of Chuna treatment. To evaluate the change of MRI view, slipped disc ratio and A-P compression ratio were used. The improvement of the clinical symptoms was observed by Score of pain part and Nurick grade. Results : After treatment, patient’s score of pain part, Nurick grade were decreased and slipped disc ratio, A-P compression ratio were also improved. Conclusions : The Korean medical treatments might be an effective method to improve the clinical symptoms and radiological view of cervical myelopathy.

This study was conducted to evaluate the adequacy of an alternative ㏂-㏘ testing scheme for milk yield in comparison with the official test method based on weighing two milkings within 24 h. A total of 8,309 ㏘ milking weights and 6,767 ㏂ milking weights from 72 Holstein cows raised at N.L.R.I. were collected between October 2000 and November 2001. Ratios were computes for daily milk yield to ㏂ and ㏘ milking weights(direct yield ratios) and ratios of ㏂ and ㏘ milking weights to daily milk yield (inverse yield ratios). Analysis of variance indicated that the milking interval is the most important source of variation for yield ratios. Adjustment factors for estimating daily milk yield from single milking weights were derived through regression analysis of direct and inverse yield ratios on the length of the milking interval. Daily milk yield was estimated more precisely and accurately when adjustment factors were used than when single milking weights were doubled. In conclusion, alternative recording of ㏂ and ㏘ milking weights led to reliable estimates of milk yields.

This study presents a series of experimental investigations on buckling strength of eccentrically compressed cold-formed stainless steel CHS(circular hollow section) columns. The principal parameters in this study are slenderness ratios(Lk/r = 30, 50, 70) and magnitude of eccentricity e(one way : 0, 25, 50, 75, 100㎜, the other way : 0, 12.5, 25, 37.5, 50㎜) for single-curvature asymmetrical end moment. Objectives of this study are to obtain the maximum loads by performing an experimental work and to compare the experimental behaviors with analytical results. The ultimate buckling strength of CHS members is evaluated by a numerical method for axial force-bending moment(P-M) interaction curves. The behavior of each specimen is displayed in the form of strength-displacement and moment-angle(M-θ) relationship. The numerically obtained ultimate buckling interaction curves of beam-columns show a reasonably good agreement with the available experimental results for slenderness ratio 30. But experimental results for slenderness rations 50, 70 were below M-Pinteraction curve.

The objectives of this study were to determine the effects of stream nutrient regime, N:P ratios and suspended solids on fish tolerance/trophic compositions and stream ecosystem health, based on multi-metric model, during 2008-2013. Also, stream ecosystem health was evaluated in relation to chlorophyll-a (CHL) as a measure of algal productivity or indicators of trophic state to water chemical parameters. Total number of sampled fish species were 50 and showed a decreasing trend from 2008 to 2013. The minnow of Zacco platypus, based on the catch per unit effort (CPUE), was the most dominant species (25.9%) among the all species. Spatial heterogeneity was evident in the fish tolerance guilds that showed the dominance of sensitive species (89%) in the headwaters (S1) and the dominance of tolerant species (57%) in the urban. These conditions were directly influenced by concentrations of nutrients and organic matter (COD). The N:P ratios, as a barometer of water pollution, had a negative linear function (R<sup>2</sup> = 0.40, P < 0.01) with CHL, and the ratios had an important role in changes of COD concentration (R<sup>2</sup> = 0.40, P < 0.01). Under the circumstances, the N:P ratio directly influenced the relative proportions of fish trophic/tolerance compositions. According to the regression analysis of omnivore (O<sub>m</sub>) and insectivore sp. (I<sub>n</sub>) on total nitrogen and total phosphorus, nitrogen had no significant influences (P > 0.05) to the two compositions, but phosphorus influenced directly the two guilds [slope (a) = -32.3, R<sup>2</sup> = 0.25, P < 0.01 in the I<sub>n</sub>; a = 40.7, R<sup>2</sup> = 0.19, P < 0.01 in the O<sub>m</sub>]. Such water chemistry and fish trophic guilds determined the stream ecosystem health, based on the multi-metric fish model.
