        모듈개념을 적용한 가변형 실내조명 디자인개발

        본 논문에서는 실내 인테리어에 적용 가능한 조명 디자인을 기본으로 생각하고 연구하였으며 나아가 근린공원에 설치될 공익시설물을 대상으로 공공디자인의 목적도 함께 연구하여 합리적 사용을 추구하는 모듈형 가변식 실내조명 제품디자인을 연구하고자 한다. 이러한 연구를 위하여 모듈의 기본적인 개념을 알 수 있는 선행연구 고찰과 실내디자인에 적용 가능한 조명과 실내에 대한 선행사례를 분석하였다. 이러한 분석을 토대로 본 연구에서는 모듈개념을 적용한 조명디자인의 새로운 컨셉을 도출을 위해 제품실무 개발을 위한 디자인 방향과 프로세스, 제품보관, 조립, 관리가 편리한 모듈 조립형 디자인을 제시하여 향후 조명디자인 개발에 관련된 합리적 유지관리 방향을 살펴보고 새로운 제품디자인개발에 반영할 수 있는 디자인 개발사례를 제시하였다. 또한 인지전략 프로세스를 통해 디자인을 진행하였으며 이러한 프로세스는 개념적 전략으로 실내환경 분석단계, 조명유지 보수단계, 가변형 메커니즘단계, 감성활성화 단계를 적용하여 연구를 진행하였다. 이러한 단계적특성은 디자인적인 조형적 아름다운과 접목시켜 MLD(Module Lamp Design) 전략을 제시하여 인간이 느낄 수 있는 공간에 대한 자유로운 적용을 모듈제품과 접목시키고 인간의 시각적접근과 바라보며 자유롭게 생각하는 개념적 가치를 담아 MLD인지전략 디자인 프로세스에 적용시켜 개발 하고자 하였다. It is necessary to produce and maintain interior lighting design reasonably and actively. Based on the lighting design applicable to interior design, the purpose of this study is to take into consideration the public design of public facilities installed in neighborhood parks and thereby to suggest a module-type variable interior lighting product design for reasonable use. To achieve that, relevant studies were reviewed to find the basic concepts of a module and the best cases of interior lighting applicable to interior design. To draw a new concept of the lighting design to which the concept of a module is applied, this study suggested the design direction for practical product development and a module-type design featuring easy process, product storage, assembly, and management, analyzed the reasonable maintenance direction for the development of lighting design, and proposed a case of design development applicable to the development of a new product design. Through cognitive strategy process, the design was made. This process, as a conceptual strategy, included the step of interior environment analysis, the step of lighting maintenance, the step of variable mechanism, and the step of emotional activation. These steps were connected with formative beauty of design so as to suggest a MLD(Module Lamp Design) strategy. In this way, this study tried to connect humans free application for a space to a module product and to apply humans visual approach and free conceptual value to MLD cognitive strategy design process for development.

        계획칸 모듈을 통한 BIM 기반 신한옥 설계 방법론 연구

        The purpose of this study is to enhance accessibility to Hanok design by presenting a new BIM-based design methodology for New-Hanok that is highly practical for all users, ultimately achieving the dissemination and revitalization of Hanok. In this study, the ‘Planning-Kan module’ was proposed as the key library unit for the design methodology, which is a scaled-down concept of New-Hanok’s ‘Kan’ referring only to the body structure, separated from the roof frame structure and room. The Planning-Kan module is provided in three types: 1st floor Kan module, Upper floor Kan module, and Attached-Kan module. This study analyzes the advantages of the new design methodology of Planning-Kan module by comparing to the previous methodologies. The Planning-Kan module itself offers a mid-low level of design difficulty while the whole design process of the Planning-Kan module provides a wide range of design freedom, which makes it the most efficient way of designing Hanok for all users. The significance of this study is as follows: Firstly, the study found the need to redefine the concept of ‘Kan’ and adopted the newly defined ‘Planning-Kan’ as the key library unit for the new design methodology, allowing users to approach the design process in a more user-friendly way. Secondly, the study sequentially provided the appropriate LOD for each design phase of Hanok, making it practical for the entire design process from the early design stage to the final. Thirdly, the study indicated that researchers should shift the center of the discussion from Hanok ‘modeling’ methodologies to Hanok ‘design’ methodologies to find ways to revive the Hanok construction industry.

        대학교 건축학과 설계, 표현 및 기술의 통합교과 모듈개발

        This study is to design the integrated module in architecture program to reduce the gap between academy and practice, and to advance student's ability in application and integration of architectural knowledge. The work process activities of architectural design practices are limited from pre design, schematic design, design development and to working drawing. Design, document and engineering works are applied to the integrated module, a unit of study, which is composed with some subjects for enhancing the interrelation and integrity of knowledge. ENSAPLV shows the module design components as strands, learning activities, teaching and learning, courses and module objectives. Design process based integrated modules are designed with three strands, architectural design, communication and technology. Firstly, integrated modules of design, communication and technology are designed variously up to the priority of architecture program and department. Secondly, integrated module objectives are designed with design theme and learning objects from comprehensive understanding and basics gradually to inhabiting, techtonic, urbanism, complexity, sustainability. Thirdly, learning activities and teaching methods of unit subjects are designed with knowledge lecture and practice tutorial. Fourthly, courses of subjects are composed from introduction and basics to advancement along with grade in a same strand. Furthermore, it is requested to keep paces with planning and proceeding report of self appraisal, teaching strategy and benchmarking for more appropriate module design.

        모듈시스템을 활용한 한글디자인

        우리나라의 활자는 고려의 금속활자를 비롯하여 기술적, 심미적으로 훌륭한 전통 활자체의 유산을 자랑하며, 활판인쇄에서 볼 수 있는 시각적 구성에 대한 이해력을 바탕으로 문자의 본질인 내용을 전달하는 의사소통과 기록을 담당하였다. 이러한 한글디자인의 다양한 자료와 함께 김진평의 한글디자인에서 그리드와 사각형 모듈개념이 적용됨을 살펴보았으며, 한글 활자에 사용된 규칙적인 수평, 수직의 그리드 시스템을 통해 구조적 체계를 살펴보았다. 한글디자인에서 모듈시스템은 한글 글자체를 규칙화시킴으로써 효과적인 활자제작을 가능하게 하며, 일정한 단위의 형태로 공간을 나누어 시각적으로 정리되어 보이게 하고 균형을 잡아 준다. 따라서 모듈시스템의 사용은 20c 중 후반에 호평을 받으며 시각적 구성력을 가진 구조적 체계를 가능하게 하였다. 연구자는 한글의 자음과 모음을 정사각형, 원형, 삼각형모듈시스템을 적용함으로써 문자를 배치할 수 있는 표준 단위인 모듈시스템이 독특한 형태를 가지고 있는 한글의 배경을 정리하여 주며, 엄격한 질서를 통해 명확성과 함께 기능적, 조형적 의미를 더해 문자를 배치할 수 있는 표준 단위임을 알 수 있었다. 특히 정사각형모듈의 질서적 표현과 각이 없어 안정감을 주는 원형모듈, 독특한 형태의 조형성을 보인 삼각형모듈은 한글을 의사 전달 수단 뿐 만아니라 시각 요소의 역할로써 충분히 활용되어 그래픽 디자인과 제품에 응용함으로써 한글글자체가 갖는 기능성과 조형성에 대한 가치를 알 수 있었다. 따라서 이 연구를 바탕으로 한글디자인의 무한한 가능성을 인식하며, 앞으로 한글의 꾸준한 개발과 함께 산업발전에 기여할 수 있도록 다양한 디자인을 개발하고자 한다. Our letter is proud of the heritage of technically and aesthetically wonderful traditional print type as shown in metal type of Goryeo. Hangeul charged the roles of communication and recording transmitting contents which are essence of letters based on understanding about visual composition shown in type printing. With such various material of Hangeul design, this study explored that concepts of grid and square module were applied to Hangeul design by Kim Jinpyung. And structural system was investigated through regular horizontal and vertical grid system used in Hangeul alphabet. Module system in Hangeul design makes production of effective type possible by regulating Hangeul letter type and makes one see in visually arranged shape and gives balance by dividing space in a form of certain unit. Accordingly, module system got a favorable review in the middle and later period of the 20th century and made structural system with visual composition possible. The author could know that by applying Korean consonant and vowel to module system of perfect square, circle, and triangle, module system which is a standard unit for arrangement of letter makes background of Hangeul be arranged. And it was known that module system is a standard unit where letter can be arranged adding functional and formative meaning along with clarity through strict order. Especially, these modules-perfect square module expressing good order, circle module giving stable feeling by line without angle, triangle module showing plastic beauty in peculiar form-play the roles not only as a tool of communication but also as a visual factor. By utilizing this advantage and applying to graphic design and products, values of function and formative aspect of Hangeul letter type could be known. Accordingly, based on this study, the author recognized the infinite possibility of Hangeul design and would give efforts to develop various design for industrial development along with continued development of Hangeul forwards.

        자연대류 불안정 흐름에 의해 투과량을 증가시킨 전량여과 막모듈의 설계

        The permeate flux increments of a natural convection instability flow (NCIF) caused by the change of inclined angles (0~180°) to gravity of the commercial membrane module were tested in the dead-end membrane filtration of BSA protein solution. The NCIF are more generated as the inclined angle increased from 0° to 180°, and the occurred NCIF enhances permeate flux. However, the commercial module can only generate NCIF by completely removing the air gap in module. Since the custom design module designed in this study is permeated in a crossward direction (90°), NCIF is always generated even if there is the air gap in module. The results of membrane filtration of BSA and dextran solutions using a custom design module showed that the flux in the crossward direction is increased to about 3.8 times for BSA solution and 1.8 times for dextran solution after two hours of operation due to the occurrence of NCIF. Also, NCIF generation is continued during 20 hours filtration of BSA solution, increasing the permeate flux to about 7.5 times. Since the custom design module with a permeation in the crossward direction and NCIF is always generated within the module, so it is possible to expect an increase in permeate flux due to the suppression of fouling formation, and thus to be utilized as a superb dead-end membrane module. BSA 단백질 용액의 전량 막여과에서 상용(commercial) 막모듈의 경사각 변화에 따라 발생된 자연대류 불안정 흐름(NCIF)의 투과 플럭스 증가 효과를 측정한 결과, 막모듈의 경사각이 0°에서 180°로 증가하면 NCIF 발생이 커져 플럭스가증가하였다. 그러나 상용 막모듈은 모듈 내에 존재하는 공기층을 완전히 제거해야 NCIF를 발생시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서 설계 제작된 custom design 막모듈은 crossward 방향(90°)으로 막투과가 이루어져 모듈 상부에 공기층이 존재하더라도 항상NCIF가 발생된다. Custom design 막모듈에서 BSA와 dextran 용액의 막여과 실험을 수행한 결과, NCIF의 발생으로 2시간 조작 시 BSA 용액의 경우 약 3.8배, dextran 용액의 경우 약 1.8배까지 투과 플럭스가 증가하였다. 또한 BSA 용액을 대상으로한 20시간의 조작에서도 NCIF의 발생이 지속되어 플럭스가 약 7.5배까지 증가하였다. 본 연구에서 설계된 막모듈은 항상NCIF가 발생되므로 막오염 형성 억제에 따른 투과 플럭스 증가를 기대할 수 있어 전량여과 막모듈로서의 활용성이 있음을확인하였다.

        모듈과 웨어넷을 이용한 유비쿼터스 패셔너블 컴퓨터 디자인 연구- 탈ㆍ부착을 이용한 모듈러 시스템을 중심으로 -

        Design is related to every area including art, engineering, science, and humanics but has its focus areas alternate according to the technological advancements. The movement has been accelerated in the information era. Today design concentrates its attention to the user demands and needs rather than science and technology. Ubiquitous fashionable computer is one of the natural flows stemming from that paradigm change of the times. But even that kind of new design can't escape from the conventional framework if the modules and WearNet, which are the hardware of UFC, are not detachable. Thus there is a need for the structural design of multi-functional clothes by utilizing reconstructable modules and detachable WearNet that's communication route among modules. By taking advantage of detachable modules and WearNet, one can lead the infusion of next generation IT technology and fashion and open the door to a new UFC era that's human friendly and fashionable. Thus this study set the following goals; first, to develop UFC design guidelines by reflecting the user demands and needs and using detachable modules and WearNet; second, to take a survey to identify the evaluation items for the guideline items and suggest a new UFC design to meet the user needs based on the detailed improvements; and third, to suggest a UFC modular system using detachable and thus reconstructable modules and WearNet according to the user's taste. Chapter 4 covered the following sections of the entire design process: scenario development→concept development→design progress→prototype development→test of the integration between clothes and hardware→making UFC clothes→incorporating hardware into UFC clothes. The process of making UFC clothes was divided into clothes design and product design, and the research contents and design directions of each stage were examined in terms of technology and design. As a result, one piece of each male and female UFC clothes that could be worn on the college campus or at a conference was made using detachable modules and WearNet. The third generation UFC clothes is based on the modular system that can attach and detach modules, WearNet, and the constituents of clothes and presents the UFC design of a new concept as a flexible clothing system that can change many ways according to the situations of daily life. It's significant that it's a new design approach to establish a UFC design process in the viewpoint of fashion and define such UFC design elements as silhouette, material, color, and technical detail in terms of clothes and products design.

        체험마케팅이 적용된 UX디자인에서의 체험유형과 소비자 욕구론에 기반한 체험모듈의 확장 분석

        (연구배경 및 목적) 현대는 감성소비시대로 변모했고 소비자들은 이성과 감성을 동시에 추구하는 존재로 인식되고 있다. 이런 변화에 따라 체험마케팅과 이를 실현하는 주요 방법론인 UX디자인은 현대에 기업의 브랜드 자산을 높이는 중요 수단으로 인식되고 있다. 20세기 말에 슈미트는 체험마케팅과 이의 5가지 체험모듈을 제안했지만 최근의 UX디자인에서 사용자의 독창성, 주도성이 강화된 새로운 형태의 체험들이 등장하면서 확장된 체험모듈의 추가가 필요하게 되었다. 따라서 본고는 현대 UX디자인에 나타나는 사용자 체험의 유형과 확장된 체험모듈을 분석하고, 이들과 소비자 욕구론과의 연관성을 제시함으로써 현대에 지속적으로 강화되고 있는 사용자 주도형의 체험이 인간의 욕구위계에서 최상위에 있는 자아실현욕구와 연관성이 있음을 제안하고자 한다. (연구방법) 본고는 마케팅과 디자인학, 소비자심리, 디자인심리 관련 문헌들을 기반으로 문헌연구를 진행하였다. 그리고 각 분석내용에 대해 해당 디자인사례와 이에 대한 설명을 추가하였다. 5장에서는 연구결과의 적용성을 검토하기 위해 연구결과가 적용된 분석틀을 활용하여 최근 UX디자인 사례들에 대한 정성 분석을 실시하였다. (결과) 연구결과, 사용자 체험유형은 수용적 체험, 참여적 체험, 주도적 체험으로 분류되었다. 전략적 체험모듈은 슈미트가 제안한 sense, feel, think, act, relate에 더하여, 최근의 User-led 경향을 반영하기 위해 create와 lead를 추가하여 모두 7가지로 제시되었다. 또한 현대에 이렇게 사용자의 능동성, 주도성, 독창성, 개성이 강화된 UX디자인이 등장하는 심리적 배경으로 소비자 욕구위계론과 사용자가 느끼는 디자인 쾌감에 대한 조던의 분류를 제시하였고, relate, create, lead의 체험모듈이 자아실현욕구와 Ideo-Pleasure에 가장 깊게 관련되어 있음을 제시하였다. 또한 5장에서 각 체험유형별 UX디자인 사례의 정성분석을 통하여 본고의 연구내용이 실제 UX디자인에 적절하게 적용된다는 것을 확인하였다. (결론) 위와 같은 연구결과에 따라 본고는 미래의 UX디자인은 소비자의 자아실현과 관련된 체험을 강화하는 방향으로 나아갈 것임을 결론으로 제안하고자 한다. 본고는 욕구위계론에 의거하여 이런 주장을 제안했는데 이에 의하면 인간은 자아실현의 근본적인 욕구가 있는 존재이기 때문에 하위 욕구들이 충족되고 나면 반드시 상위의 자아관련 욕구의 충족을 추구하게 되어 있다. 이런 상황에서 디자이너의 역할도 새롭게 정의되고 있어서 Creator로서의 역할보다는 User-led 디자인 프로세스의 Creative Manager로서의 역할 비중이 점차 커지고 있다. 그러므로 미래의 디자인 교육은 Creative Manager로서의 능력을 키울 수 있는 융합교육을 수용해야 함도 결론으로 제안하고자 한다. (Background and Purpose) Today, we are living in an era of emotional consumption, and customers are now recognized not only as rational decision makers but also as emotional consumers. Accordingly, companies are now acknowledging the fact that experiential marketing and UX design, which is an important design methodology for this marketing strategy, are effective tools to enhance brand equity. Twenty years ago, B. Schmitt proposed experiential marketing and five strategic experiential modules (SEMs), but today, new types of user experiences have emerged in which a user-led process with more creative rights for users is an essential feature. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and add new types of SEMs to explain these new phenomena. This paper examines the experiential types and additional SEMs for contemporary UX designs. It also studies the relationship between this new tendency and need hierarchy theory and then proposes that the use of user-led tendencies aims to satisfy the need of self-actualization among customers, which is the highest need in the hierarchy. (Method) This paper adopted a literature review as the main research methodology. It included studies in the literature related to marketing, design, consumer psychology, and design psychology. It also added design examples for each analysis. In the fifth chapter, to check the applicability of research results, qualitative case studies of recent UX designs were conducted by applying experiential types and expanded SEMs, which this paper analyzed in earlier chapters. (Results) The experiential types of contemporary UX designs were analyzed as receptive experiences, participatory experiences, and leading experiences. This paper also proposed seven SEMs to encompass the new user-led paradigm, which include the five SEMs proposed by Schmitt (sense, feel, think, act, relate) and two new SEMs proposed in this study (create, lead). As a basis for the advent of the user-led paradigm, this study used Maslow’s need hierarchy theory and Jordan’s classification of design pleasures. Then, it suggested that the “relate,” “create,” and “lead” modules are the ones that are most closely related to the need for self-actualization and Ideo-Pleasure. Qualitative case studies of recent UX designs in the fifth chapter confirmed that the results of this research can be suitably applied to real UX designs. (Conclusions) As a conclusion, this study suggests that the future of UX designs will be characterized by user-led experiences and elements to satisfy consumers’ need for self-realization. Under such circumstances, it is necessary to define an additional role of the designer―the role as a creative manager in the user-led design process rather than a creator of the design itself. It might be important for education on design to accept this paradigm shift and include interdisciplinary programs in order to prepare students for this new role.

        모듈형 식물장식을 활용한 실내공간 장식방법에 대한 연구

        The purpose of this research is to analyze the methods of the decorations using module plants in interior spaces. This research produced 18 types of the module plant decoration: considering the classifications of module plants(soil, hydroculture, moss), directions of module plants (up, side, down), assembling ways of module plants(horizontal, vertical). Applying these 18 types to the interior space decoration (floor stand, wall attach, ceiling hanging), 54 types were classified. After that, 150 cases of the decoration using module plants in interior spaces were collected and analyzed. In result, the cases were belong to 25 types of 54 types. The important types were the types to be able to decorate wide area of walls or ceilings without occupying floor area: SOIL-UP-VERTICAL, HYDROCULTURE-UP-VERTICAL, MOSS-SIDE-VERTICAL. These types were the decorations with function of bio-filter for air cleaning. Special types were SOIL-SIDE-HORIZONTAL, SOIL-SIDE-VERTICAL with soil developed not to pour and SOIL-DOWN-HORIZONTAL, SOIL-DOWN-VERTICAL with lucks not to pour soil. Plants will be used widely in interior design because of the awareness of eco-friendly design. The strength that module plants are portable, changeable, able to exchange parts helps users to maintain in interior spaces. For designer, module plants are flexible materials in order to make variety of forms to adjust to interior spaces. The results of this research about methods of the decorations using module plants in interior spaces are useful to designers who want to design interior space eco-friendly and user-friendly.

        스페이스 프레임 구조물의 형상생성 및 최적설계를 위한 통합 모듈화 방안

        Space frame structures need shape generation and optimum design to secure the safety and economy. Especially, the shape of structure is an important factor to determine the optimum design results. However, in spite of the importance of the shape design, the shape decision of structure relys on engineer's intuition and previous experiences. Also, in the optimum design problem, the minimum weight of the structure has been adopted as the objective function in most cases because it is focused on improving economic efficiency. However, this minimum weight optimum design method does not guarantee the maximum stiffness of the structure. Therefore, this study presents the integrated program modular system for the efficient shape generation and optimum design. This integrated modular system consists of shape generation module, structural analysis module and optimum design module. Each module can be connected with a commercial program by using pre/post process. Shape generation module creates the desirable shapes by using the parameterized design variables and the shape can change during the optimization process. Also, in optimum design module, maximum stiffness based on the minimum weight optimum design can be optimized in the step design process that the best results can be derived. For the development and improvement of integrated modular system, the application example with several design variables is considered.

        문제기반학습을 위한 평면조형 수업설계

        Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is one of the self-directed learning models in which learning takes place based on problems; unlike traditional passive teaching methods. The purpose of this study is to promote self-directed learning by introducing PBL, a 21st century teaching and learning method, by university professors at Department of Craft or Design. In this study, the researcher developed a basic design PBL learning design plan. The PBL lesson plan includes 4 weeks of PBL learning modules out of 15 weeks of a semester. The class design, problem design, class operation and evaluation method necessary for practical class progress were presented together. In the design of the PBL problem, the most important thing is, to reflects the actual situation of 'design development applying the formative principles as a senior designer' to experience the 21st century educational competency of creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration on a team basis. The study shows that the class operation and evaluation method were suggested as the most common application examples based on the field experience. The advantages and expected effects of PBL that can increase self-directed participation are summarized in the conclusionof this paper. Currently, more self-directed classes are required in the education field as part of creative classes needed in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. Through this study, we hope that many design lecturers will participate in the development of PBL problems and self-directed learning designs that address real-life problems. 문제기반학습 (PBL: Problem-Based Learning)은 전통적인 수동적 강의식 수업방법과는 달리 문제를 기반으로 학습이 이루어지는 자기주도적 학습모형 중의 하나이다. 본 연구의 목적은 대학의 공예·디자인학과 교수자들이 21세기 교수학습법인 문제기반학습을 도입하여 학습자주도 학습을 활성화하는 것이다. 연구자는 이번 연구에서 디자인 기초교과인 평면조형의 PBL 학습설계안을 개발하였다. PBL 수업설계안은 한 학기 15주 수업 중 4주의 PBL 학습모듈을 포함하고 있으며, 실질적인 수업진행에 필요한 수업설계안, 문제 설계, 수업운영 및 평가방법을 같이 제시하였다. 가장 핵심인 PBL 문제 설계에서 ‘수석 디자이너로써 조형원리를 적용한 디자인 개발’이라는 실제적인 상황을 반영하여 팀 기반으로 창의, 비판적 사고력, 소통, 협동의 21세기 교육역량을 경험하도록 하였다. 수업운영과 평가방법은 수업현장경험을 토대로 가장 보편적인 적용 사례로 제안하였다. 그리고 결론에서는 자기주도적으로 참여도를 높일 수 있는 PBL 학습의 장점과 기대효과를 정리하였다. 현재 교육현장에서는 4차 산업혁명시대에 필요한 창의수업의 일환으로 학습자주도의 참여수업이 더욱 요구되는 실정이다. 이번 연구로, 디자인 수업에서 적용할 수 있는 PBL학습모듈 개발과 창의적인 수업운영에 대한 사례 연구가 활발해지기를 기대한다.
