The Study on Medicinal Flora of Several Uninhabited Islands in Jindo-gun, Chonnam province

The medicinal plants in 22 unhabited islands of Jindo-gun, Chonnam provincde were investigated from March 2000 to October 2002. The medicinal plants in 22 uninhabited islands of Jindo-gun were consisted 366 taxa; 95 families, 269 genus, 309 species, 52 varieties, 3 forma, and 2 subspecies. Important medicinal plants on survey area were Lemmaphyllum microphyllum, Dendropanax morbifera, Ficus erecta, Farfugium japonicum, Machilus thunbergii, Juniperus chinensis var. procumbens, Dendrobium moniliforme, Pyrrhosia tricuspis, Cinnamomum japonicum, Pittosporum tobira, Kadsura japonica, and Daphniphyllum macropodum, This result can be used as basic information data for medicinal research and the conservation of uninhabited islands.

상하악 전치부 치열궁 형태에 대한 새로운 접근 : 한국성인 정상교합자 모델에서

상하악 전치부 치열은 치아의 형태 변위, 선천결손 등에 의해 종종 교합관계나 심미성에 문제점을 나타내게 된다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위해 임상의는 전치부 비율을 진단시 이용하게 되나, 치열중 형태, 견치간 폭경(intercanine width), 치열궁 장경(segment depth)과 치열중 둘레(arch perimeter)에 따른 전치부 비율의 변화로 인해 이러한 비율을 전치부 교합관계 예측에 직접 적용하는데는 한계가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국성인 정상교합자 모델(남자 : 20쌍, 여자 : 20쌍)에서 상하악 전치부 치열궁 형태를 least square method로 조사하였다. 한국인 정상교합자의 상하악 전치부 치열궁 형태는 다항 함수(polynomial function), 베타 함수(beta function), 하이퍼볼릭 코사인 함수(hyperbolic cosine function) 순으로 곡선 접합(curve fitting)하였으며, 이러한 곡선 접합도는 남녀, 상하악에 관계없이 일정하였다. 또한 곡선접합(curve fitting)된 치열궁 형태를 바탕으로 견치간 폭경(intercanine width), 치열궁 장경(segment depth)과 치열궁 둘레(arch perimeter)간의 상관관계를 구하였다. 이러한 상관관계는 견치간 폭경에 따른 치열궁 형태 예측과 보다 정확한 전치부 비율에 대한 정보를 제공할 것이다. Though the clinician usually use the anterior ratio to overcome this problems, he has the limitation of a direct application this ratio to the prediction of anterior occlusal relationship by the change of anterior ratio as dental arch form, intercanine width, segment depth and arch perimeter. So this study examine maxillary and mandibular anterior dental arch forms by least square method using Korean normal occlusion models(man : 20 casts, woman : 20 casts), Maxillary and mandibular anterior dental arches of Korean normal occlusion models are curve fitted to polynomial function, beta function, hyperbolic cosine function in order. And this accuracy of curve fitting is constant regardless of man/woman and maxilla/mandible. The relationships between intercanine width, segment depth, and arch perimeter based on this curve fitted dental arch form are acquired. This relationships will give the prediction of anterior dental arch form and the information of more accurate anterior ratio according to intercanine width. Distribution and Potential Toxicological Effects of 2,2',4,4'-tetrabromodiphenyl Ether (BDE-47) as a Endocrine Disrupting Chemical in Human and Animals

Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) are a class of "brominated" (bromine containing) man-made chemicals used as flame retardant additives in plastics, foams, and textiles. PBDEs are found in various environmental contaminants in air, soil, sediment, and water, and 209 individual forms (congeners) of PBDE exist. Among these, 2,2',4,4'-tetrabromodiphenyl ether (BDE-47) is the dominant congener found in the environment. Exposure to BDE-47 is now worldwide, and levels of BDE-47 have been detected in the blood of animals, including humans. BDE-47 can adversely affect the developmental system in both humans and animals. BDEs have structural similarities to polychlorinated biphenyls and thyroid hormones. However, recent studies have shown that BDEs may act as hormonal disrupting chemicals with detrimental effects. Therefore, a reliable assessment of BDE-47 toxicological action is required to understand the detrimental impacts of BDE-47 on human health. In this review, we overview recent studies on the distribution and potential toxicological effects of BDE-47 in humans and animals.

제2형 당뇨병 환자의 치료에서 복약순응도가 혈당 조절에 미치는 영향

Abstract: As known in clinical trial like DCCT, UKPDS, tight glycemic control is essential to prevent complications from diabetes mellitus(DM). In type 2 diabetes taking multiple medication, nonadherence to medications is common problem. The aim of our study is to investigate adher-ence rate of patients with type 2 DM and to evaluate association between many factors including adherence rate and HbA_(1C). 441 patients with type 2 DM who visited Busan National University Hospital endocrine internal department from Aug 13 to Sep 2, 2008(3weeks) were enrolled. We conducted a man-to-man questionnaire survey about general knowledge about diabetes mellitus, medicine and adherence, and measured HbA_(1C). Among them, 305 patients taking oral hypo-glycemic agent(OHA) were analyzed to investigate correlation between adherence rate and glycemic control. We studied 305 patients(male 126, female 179, average age 61.2±9.8 years, DM duration 8.6±6.4 years, average adherence 88.8±16.2%, average HbA_(1C) 7.03± 1.18%). HbA_(1C) showed significant relation with DM duration(r=0.137, p=0.017), number of aHA in regimen (r=0.135, p=0.018), dosage frequency(r=0.132, p=0.026), Medication Refill Adherence(MRA)(r=-0.124, p=0.030) and adherence(r=-0.168, p=0.003). Adherence had significant relation with MRA(r=0.148, p=0.010) but didn't have statical corelationship with DM duration, number of aHA and dosage frequency. Patients that their adherence rate exceed 90% took fewer OHA(p=0.011) and went on a better dietary treatment(p=0.007). In patients controlling diabetes mellitus with aHA, when adherence rate and MRA was higher, HbA_(1C) was lower. As a result, to improve adher-ence rate, it is necessary to enhance patient education, do careful consideration about prescrip-tion medicine number and dosage frequency

서경덕의 기일원론철학사상에 대하여

서경덕(화담, 1489~1546)은 16세기의 진보적인 철학자로 20대에 벌써 독자적인 유물론적 자연관을 확립하였으며 그에 토대하여 우리나라에서 처음으로 기일원론철학을 체계화하였다. 그의 기일원론철학은 이 시기 관학의 지위를 차지하고 있던 주자성리학적 관렴론철학과 뚜렷이 대조되어 일가를 이룸으로써 우리나라 중세 철학 사상발전에서 커다란 역할을 하였다. 그의 기일원론 철학에서 중요한 것은 세계의 시원에 대하여 밝힌 유물론적 '태허'설로 이는 시공간적 무한성을 가진 근원적 실체, 보편적 존재를 가리킨다. 그리고 또 물질운동의 원인에 대하여 밝힌 '기자이(機自爾)'설이 있는데 이는 '기'에 스스로의 의미를 덧붙여 그것의 자율적 성격을 크게 부각시키려고 한 것이다. '기자이'설에서 기틀은 물질의 내재적 변화능력의 근원으로 되는 음양 두 氣의 대립적 질서 또는 그 호상작용을 가리킨다. 서경덕의 기일원론철학에서 가장 빛나는 부분을 이루는 것은 기불멸설이다. 그에 의하여 기불멸설이 제기됨으로써 물질불멸의 사상이 확증되게 되었으며 그리하여 물질적 실체의 보편성과 세계의 물질적 통일성이 이론적으로 확고해지게 되었다. 그리고 기불멸설의 의의는 물질보존의 사상을 천재적으로 추측하였다는 데에 있으며 이는 중세유물론이 달성한 귀중한 성과이며 가치 있는 학설이라고 할 수 있다. So^, Kyo^ng-do^k who is famous for his pen name, Hwadam, was a progressive philosopher in the 16th century. In his twenties, he established his own thoughts of materialism, distinguishing himself from the philosophical trend of Neo-Confucianism. His theory explores the fundamental being in the unlimited frame of space and time. Also he suggested a theory in which energy is not nullified at any rate. Relating energy to the heavenly body, his theory posted a milestone in the medieval time.

The purpose of this paper is to provide the efficient methodes of the elementary school English learning. Various theories have been proposed to explain how children manage to acquire the adult language. There are those who think that children merely imitate what they hear. Imitation is involved to some extent, but the sentences produced by children show that children are not imitating adult speech. Learning a second language differs from learning a first language. Various factors must be considered in addition to the linguistic structure of a second language and how it differs from the native language. Individuals who are self-conscious about making mistakes often find learning a second language difficult, which is not a problem for children, who are unconcerned or unaware that they are making mistakes.

Individuals' use of two-way networking devices has fostered development in communication technologies as well as changes in the methods of communication among people, between individuals and institutions, and between institutions. Currently, corporations can not be run without involving themselves in the development of IT. In order to adapt to rapid changes in the technology environment and to pursue a policy of reacting to a highly information-saturated society, developed countries are preparing new commercial law and other legislations to encourage the "electronicization"of corporate management. In the process of amending corporate law, the corporate mechanism is under discussion in terms of securing the effectiveness of corporate governance and in aiding its reaction to an information-proficient society. In particular, increases in the power of shareholders' meetings are being considered. The meaning of corporate governance lies in the shareholders' ability, by exercising their right to select and remove directors, to ensure that the board of directors is overseeing the executive officers' corporate management. Consequently, as opportunities for the selection and removal of directors, shareholders' meetings should be revitalized by requiring more informative explanations by the officers for their activities as well as by encouraging shareholders to actively exercise their voting rights. This article's exploration of the practical problems involved with electronicizing shareholders' meetings is an attempt to seek this "vitalization of shareholders' meetings" as well as realize "regularly open shareholders' meetings."

영어 자음 변화에 관한 연구

This purpose of this study is to describe and generalize consonant changes in English. All living languages change regularly through time. Evidence of linguistic change is found in the history of individual languages and in the regular correspondences that exist between different languages and dialects. The consonants of English, have been rather stable, though certain losses have occurred within the Modern English period. The identically written voiceless velar fricative [x] occurring next to back vowels either disappeared, as in taught, bought, and bough, or became the voiceless labiodental fricative [f], as in cough, laugh, and enough. These changes occurred as early as the fifteenth century in all England south of the Humber, though there is evidence that still in the later part of the sixteenth century old fashioned speakers and a few pedants retained the sounds or at least thought that they ought to be retained.

敵對的 M&A에 있어서의 理事의 役割 : 理事의 行動基準 Standards of Behavior

A merger and acquisition(M&A) trend has risen in Korea since the IMF economic crisis, and it is also facing the significant turning point recently. IT is a general understanding that M&A is likely to remain on the increase. There are not many problems in a favorable M&A. However, we need to consider possibilities to fix the problems of a hostile M&A since we think it is an immoral behavior against legal minds or current business environments. In other words, there are many difficult problems to solve in the hostile M U because there are many conflicts of interest among the current management, buyers, shareholders and employees. When we consider the protection of the shareholders' interests and the needs to fix the negligence of them in Korea, we need to add the protection of shareholders' interests into the management's role in the case of Take Over Bid. With that concept, it's appropriate that the management should consider all interests of the shareholders, current management, buyer and additional counterparts and the possibility of carrying out the term and so they can choose and carry out the countermeasures against the Take Over Bid but must care about the realization of the shareholders' long term interests. In other words, since the director's duties of care, which are asked for in the relationship between the company and the director, includes the right and duty to consider the shareholders' interests, it's right for the director to have the countermeasures against the hostile M&A but these countermeasures naturally include the desire to maintain his right of control against the corporation and so it is necessary to refrain from overusing these countermeasures. In this study, I focus on the management's role and the criteria of its action in the target company, with reference to the recent mass purchase of SK corporation stocks by one of the foreign funds. Through a review of real law cases in the USA , this paper aims to reconsider the issue in the perception of protecting the interests of the management and the shareholders.
