This study was carried out to investigate the distribution and concentration of microorganism by the method of the air contamination using RCS air sampler in underground linac room of two general hospital located in Pusan. The places of air sampling were 4 different spot in two each hopital. Therefore, total 8 places were sampled from June 30, 1996 to May30, 1997. The results obtained were as follows 1. In a agar strip GK-A media for total count of microbial particles, it was estimated to be 76 CFU/ft^(3) in ICR room, and the consulting room was 53 CFU/ft^(3), lobby was XI CFU/ft^(3), linac room was 35 CFU/ft^(3), in the M hospital, respectively. The distribution of organism in the air of M hospital were shown gram positive cocci 72%, gram negative bacilli 15%, gram positive bacilli 6.1%, fungi 6.1%, respectively . On the other hand, in P hospital, it was obtained to be ICR room 74 CFU/ft^(3), lobby- 45 CFU/ft^(3), consulting room 34 CFU/ft^(3), linac room 31 CFU/ft^(3), respectively. The distribution and concentration of microorganism in the air were detected gram positive cocci 75%, fungi 10.3%, gram negative bacilli 8.7%, gram positive bacilli 6.0%. respectively. The results were recognized to be a low frequency in the linac room. 2. In agar strip S media for total counts of M hospital, ICR room was shown the highest organism with 32 CFU/ft^(3), but the lowest organism was detected linac room with 20 CFU/ft^(3). Also, the case of P hospital was estimated high 43 CFU/ft^(3) at ICR room, low organism was shown at linac 17 CFU/ft^(3) Test of coagulase were recognized to be a negative Staphylococci 68.3% in M hospital, 60.7% in P hospital. Coagulase positive cocci was estimated to be 31.7% in M hospital, 39.3% in P hospital. 3. In agar strip C media for coliform bacteria, colony counts at ICR room 10 CFU/ft^(3), consulting room 7 CFU/ft^(3), linac room 6 CFU/ft^(3), lobby 4 CFU/ft^(3) in M hospital, respectively. On the other hand, in P hospital were shown ICR room and main lobby 7 CFU/ft^(3), consulting room 5 CFU/ft^(3), linac room 4 CFU/ft^(3), respectively.

Eisenmenger's syndrome includes any condition in which communication between the pulmonary and systemic circulation gives rise to pulmonary vascular disease causing a right to left shunt with peripheral cyanosis, It can occur with complex congenital cardiac malformations, such as septal defect and patent ductus arteriosus. We report a case of a 58-year-old woman with an emergency operation for peritonitis due to appendiceal perforation and Eisenmenger's syndrome secondary to large ventricular septal defect. We carefully performed balanced anesthesia with air-O₂-desflurane-remifentanil. She was transferred to the intensive care unit in intubated state postoperatively and discharged two weeks later without any complications.
韓國産 모나무이科(Family Aphalaridae)의 分枝系統的 分析

Four genera-Aphalara, Craspedolepta, Syntomoza and Rhusaphalara of family Aphalaridae(Homoptera) arising from Korea were analysed by the cladistic method. Ten morphological and one host plant characters were selected for the analysis. Genus Craspedolepta and genus Aphalara are separated from the another genera in the phylogenetic distance. And genus Syntomoza is the most derived one in the Korean Aphalaridae.

우리나라에서 인기 있는 게장등의 섭취로2) 성인뿐만 아니라 소아에서도 지속적으로 보고되고 있는 폐흡충증은 다양한 임상양상을 보일 수 있다. 저자들은 방사선 소견상 만성 호산구성 폐렴과 유사하였고, 반복적인 치료로 호전된 폐흡충증 1예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. Paragonimiasis mostly occurs by ingestion of raw or undercooked freshwater crabs or crayfish. Recently, re-emergence of paragonimiasis is reported because of ingestion of raw food such as freshwater fish and Gejang (marinated raw crabs). As the radiological features as well as the laboratory findings are similar to those of chronic eosinophilic pneumonia, the diagnosis of pulmonary paragonimiasis is often difficult and delayed. A 43 year-old female was visited our hospital for migrating and new developing consolidative lung lesions and peripheral blood eosinophilia. The eosinophil profile of leukocyte was 32% (absolute count 2,690 /mm3). Histologic finding was organizing pneumonia pattern with severe infiltration of eosinophils. Parasite specific antibody IgG forParagonimus westermani was positive (titer:0.61, normal range<0.20). After treatment with praziquantel (75mg/Kg once a day for 2days), the chest x-ray was clearly resolved. Follow-up study showed right pleural effusion, newly developed focal infiltration, and several nodules. After retreatment, we couldn't find any recurrent evidence.

Duodeno-colonic fistula is an enterocolonic fistula that occurs as a complication of Crohn`s disease. Symptoms of duodeno colonic fistula are similar to those of Crohn`s disease, such as weight loss and diarrhea. The treatment of choice is surgery, although medical treatment may also be considered. However, surgery is recommended when all available medical therapies have been ineffective. In this case, we report a secondary duodeno-colonic fistula due to Crohn`s disease that was temporarily managed by an endoscopic procedure with a detached endoloop and hemoclips as a bridging therapy to final surgical repair.
A New Species of Trioza from Korea : Homoptera·Psyllidae

나무이科에서 亞科를 달리하는 버드나무이, 뽕나무이, 자귀나무이 3種의 幼出形態를 比較해 본 結果는 다음과 같다 : 體側突起와 體表의 小突起는 體節에 따른 配列을 보였으며, 頭幅大體長의 比에서는 3種이 類似한 成長型을 나타냈다. 觸角의 全長 對 頭幅과 體長對 觸角 全長 등의 齡間 比較成長度는 뽕나무이가 가장 높게 나타났으며, 자귀나무이는 5齡에서 純化되는 傾向을 보였다. 또한 버드나무이는 齡이 進行됨에 따른 變化의 幅이 가장 낮아 上記 2種과는 다른 樣狀을 보였다. A morphological study on the immature stages of three Psyllid species as Trioza salicivora (Triozinae), Anomoneura mori (Ciriacreminae) and Psylla yamatonia (Psyllinae) was performed and the results are as follow: The processes of lateral margin of the body and the tiny paired setae of the surface of the abdomen occured regularly to the body segment. The growth of the width of head are similar patterns in all the three species. The ratio of the width of the thorax to the width of head shows most remarkable change in Trioza salicivora. The length of antenna of Anomoneura mori changed with very great interval from the first to the fifth instar larvae. There is no regular relationship between the antennal segment and the number of the sensorium, but in the first instar larvae with only one sensorium.
