The forced swim test (FST) is the most widely used model for assessing potential antidepressant activity. Although it has been shown that lateral septum is involved with the FST-related behavior, it is not clear whether antidepressant treatments could alter the FST-induced gene expression profile in the lateral septum. In the present study, the gene expression profiles in response to FST and reboxetine pretreatment were observed in the lateral septum of rats. Reboxetine is known as a most selective serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. In addition, we compared the changes in gene expression profile between reboxetine response and nonresponse groups, which were determined by counting FST-related behavior. After FST, lateral septum from controls and reboxetine pretreated group were dissected and gene expression profiles were assessed using an Affymetrix microarray system containing 15,923 genes. Various genes with different functions were changed in reboxetine response group compared with reboxetine nonresponse group, In particular, pleiotrophin, orexin receptor 2, serotonin 2A receptor, neuropeptide Y5 receptor and thyroid hormone receptor $\beta$ were decreased in reboxetine response group, but Lim motif-containing protein kinase 1 (Limk1) and histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1) were increased. Although further studies are required for direct roles of these genes in reboxetine response, the microarray may provide tools to find out potential target genes and signaling pathways in antidepressant response.
Psychometric Properties of the Hypomania Checklist-32 in Korean Patients with Mood Disorders

Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the validity of the Korean version of the Hypomania Checklist-32, second revision (HCL-32-R2) in mood disorder patients. Methods: A total of 454 patients who diagnosed as mood disorder according to Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV Axis I Disorders, clinician version (SCID-CV) (bipolar disorder [BD] I, n=190; BD-II, n=72; and major depressive disorder [MDD], n=192) completed the Korean module of the HCL-32-R2 (KHCL-32-R2). Results: The KHCL-32-R2 showed a three-factorial structure (eigenvalue >2) that accounted for 43.26% of the total variance. Factor 1 was labeled “active/elated” and included 16 items; factor 2, “irritable/distractible” and included 9 items; and factor 3 was labeled “risk-taking/indulging” and included 9 items. A score of 16 or more on the KHCL-32-R2 total scale score distinguished between BD and MDD, which yielded a sensitivity of 70% and a specificity of 70%. MDD and BD-II also could be differentiated at a cut-off of 15 with maximized sensitivity (0.67) and specificity (0.66). Cronbach’s alpha of KHCL-32-R2 and its subsets (factors 1, 2, and 3) were 0.91, 0.89, 0.81 and 0.79, respectively. Correlations between KHCL-32-R2 and Montgomery- Asberg Depression Rating Scale, Young Mania Rating Scale and Korean version of Mood Disorder Questionnaire were −0.66 ( p =0.41), −0.14 ( p =0.9), and 0.61 ( p <0.001), respectively. Conclusion: The KHCL-32-R2 may be a useful tool in distinguishing between bipolar and depressive patients in clinical settings.
자연재해 피해의 탐색적 공간분석(ESDA)에 관한 연구 : 전국 지방자치단체를 중심으로, 2006-2014

본 연구는 전국지방자치단체에서 발생한 자연재해 피해의 탐색적 공간 분석(Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis: ESDA)을 실시하는 것을 통해, 기초지방자치단체의 자연재해관리에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 2006년부터 2014년 동안 총 226곳의 기초지방자치단체를 분석대상으로 설정하여, 총 피해, 대설, 호우, 강풍, 풍랑, 태풍에 따른 피해의 공간적 분포와 핫스팟 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 총 피해 · 호우의 경우 강원도 지역을 중심으로 핫스팟이 발견되었으며, 대설은 강원 · 경상 · 전라 · 충청도의 해안가 지역을 중심으로, 태풍 · 강풍 · 풍랑은 경상 · 전라 · 충청도 지역을 중심으로 핫스팟이 발견되었다. 이러한 결과는 자연재해의 유형에 따라 상이한 공간적 패턴이 나타날 수 있음을 의미하며, 이에 따라 해당 기초지방자치단체는 자신이 처한 자연재해의 유형을 고려하여, 자연재해에 따른 피해를 사전에 대비하여야 함을 주장한다. This study aims to provide implications on natural disaster management through exploratory spatial data analysis(ESDA) on the damage of natural disasters occurred in local governments. A total of 226 basic local governments from 2006 to 2014 was set as subjects of analyses. The authors analyzed spatial distribution and hot spot on the six parameters: heavy snow, heavy rain, strong wide, wind waves, typhoons and the total damage. We found hot spots in Gangwon-do for total damage and heavy rain. Hot spots of heavy snow were found in the coastal areas of Gangwon-do, Gyeongsang-do, Jeolla-do and Chungcheong-do. Gyeongsang-do, Jeolla-do and Chungcheong-do were found to have hot spots for typhoons, strong wind and wind waves. The results indicate that different spatial patterns occur depending on types of natural disaster. It can be asserted that basic local governments must prepare themselves according to the corresponding type of natural disaster.
P190 : Clinicopathologic study of 14 cases of eccrine poroma

Background: Eccrine poroma is benign skin appendageal tumor, arising from the eccrine sweat duct. Clinicopathologic studies of eccrine poroma are limited in Korea. Objectives: To analyze the clinicopathological characteristics of eccrine poroma. Methods: We reviewed the medical records, photographs and histopathological slides of 14 patients diagnosed with eccrine poroma at our clinic between 2001 and 2014. Results: The mean age of the tumors is 62.8 years old. The mean duration is 24.7 months. The average size was 0.8 cm. The most frequent location was sole and foot, followed by scalp, palm, trunk. The most common clinical feature was erythematous or flesh solitary nodule without symptom. Initial impressions on the first visit were poroma(n=3), verruca(n=3), soft fibroma(n=3), seborrheic keratosis(n=1), melanoma(n=1), melanocytic nevus(n=1), hemangioma(n=1), Bowen disease(n=1). Histopathologically, the majority of the cases showed highly vascular stroma, uniform cuboidal epithelial cells with clear cytoplasm and focal ductal differentiation. Cystic degenerations were seen in 3 cases, peritumoral cleft in 4 cases, melanin pigmentation in 5 cases, underlying dermal duct tumor in 1 case. Conclusion: Eccrine poroma should be included in differential diagnosis when patients show solitary erythematous or flesh nodule on sole and foot smaller than 2cm size without symptom. The matrix may contains highly vascular stroma with some clear cells, in addition to general feature of eccrine poroma.
Contemporary Safety Management of Virtual Golf in South Korea

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide implications for virtual golf safety management in Korea through the literature review of current safety issues of virtual golf industry. Research design, data, and methodology: This study employed a qualitative approach to review prior studies and related documents presenting current safety perspectives of virtual sports facility management. First, the study reviewed the experiences of virtual golf players and safety criteria suggested from previous literatures. Second, two experts in sport facility management reviewed the manuscript including implications and provided their opinions including major implications and insights for virtual sport industry. Views of experts were added to the final manuscript. Results: This study found that installation standards and safety and hygiene standards by industry are enacted for the safety management of sports facilities, however, there is a need for standards to be adjusted because the contents are general, abstract, and lack detail, thus causing difficultly to secure effectiveness. Conclusions: For virtual golf courses, it is necessary to develop a safety inspection checklist that suits the characteristics of indoor virtual golf. In this line, safety criteria need to be developed with the consideration of characteristics of screen golf to establish an efficient safety management system and create a safe use environment.
