        기후변화가 축산업에 미치는 경제효과

        Adopting the Ricardian approach, this study investigates the economic effects of climate changes such as average temperature and rainfalls on Korean livestock farm revenue. The explanatory variables of empirical model were selected based on the previous literature. The pseudo-panel analysis is employed to resolve the imperfectness of the panel data. The results indicate that the control variables such as farming experience, household size, employment, ownership of heavy machinery, technology use, full-time farming and male owner affect the livestock farm revenue positively, and the age does negatively. The impact of summer average temperature on farm revenue was significant and negative, while that of winter was significant and positive. The marginal change of the summer temperature decrease farm revenue per head by 2.48%. This paper suggests that the livestock farm’s revenue responds sensitively to changes in summer and winter average temperature, and so we need to establish the long-term countermeasures against rapid climate change.

        연구보문 : 자연과학 ; 황산처리에 의한 불투수성 황근 종자의 발아촉진에 관한 연구

        The reason of poor germination rate of hamabo mallow seed was speculated using TZ test to determine the viability of seed. Seeds showed high viability via TZ test were not germinated well. The quiescent seeds did not imbibed properly due to the hard seed coat and did not show further processes required for germination. Several well-known treatments for seed coat loosening and water uptake into seed were applied and compared for their efficiency. Stratification, hot water treatment, seed coat scarification, wet-cold treatment were revealed as less effective for improving germination although those treatments were common method for breaking dormant seed. Chemical scarification with sulfuric acid, however, effectively increased germinability and promptness index of hamabo mallow seeds. Optimal time for sulfuric acid treatment was 20 min. Seeds treated for 20 min showed improved germination percentage, germination speed, and promptness index of 80%, 13, and 1969 at 30 days after imbibition, respectively, in petri dish experiment. The values were greater than control seeds showed low values (12%, 1, and 183, respectively). The similar tendency was observed in the pot experiment that sulfuric acid treated seed were sown in artificially mixed soil (loamy soil:peatmoss:sand:compost = 5:2:2:1) and placed in greenhouse. Ultrastructure analysis of chemically scarified seed with sulfuric acid for 20 min by scanning electron microscopy did not show any noticeable changes in seed coat hardness and water uptake via hilum. But the only change after sulfuric acid treatment was removal of hilum cap that close the hilum and hider imbibition. Therefore, subsequent experiment was conducted to know the relationship between removal of hilum cap and facilitated imbibition by sulfuric acid treatment and whether the hilum cap removal directly influenced to the opening of micropyle. Water uptake velocity of seed treated for 20 min in concentrated sulfuric acid for was greater than control seed. This result implies that the crucial effect of sulfuric acid treatment is the removal of hilum cap that increase water uptake via micropyle in hamabo mallow.

        Aggressive Variant of Chromophobe Renal Cell Carcinoma Accompanied by Tonsillar Squamous Cell Carcinoma

        Chromophobe renal cell carcinoma (ChRCC) is a distinct histologic subtype of RCC and accounts for approximately 5% to 10%. The prognosis for ChRCC is considered to be better than those for other types of RCC. Sarcomatoid transformation occasionally occurs and has been presented as a predicting factor of poor prognosis. However, there has been a scarcity of reports on aggressive type of ChRCC without sarcomatoid change. Here we report an unusual case of aggressive variant of ChRCC with hilar lymph node metastasis, with tumor necrosis and without sarcomatoid change. In addition, this case was accompanied by synchronous occurrence of tonsillar squamous cell carcinoma.

        The salt-and-pepper appearance of skin is composed of salt (vitiligo-like depigmentation) and pepper(perifollicular pigmentation). This characteristic feature can be a clinical clue for the diagnosis of systemic sclerosis. Mixed connective tissue disease(MCTD) is a distinct disease entity with mixed features of systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic sclerosis, myositis and rheumatoid arthritis with high titers of antibodies to U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein(U1 snRNP). Therefore, MCTD is known to have a wide spectrum of cutaneous manifestations which may be the presenting signs of the disease. However, there are few reports of pigmentary changes in MCTD. A 51-year old woman presented with variably sized hypopigmented macules along with relative hyperpigmentation of the perifollicular areas. She was diagnosed with MCTD by Raynaud’s phenomenon and high titer anti-RNP corresponding to a speckled antinuclear antibody of 1:1280 in Rheumatology clinic. A biopsy specimen showed dermal sclerosis. Pigment loss and melanophages were observed in the papillary dermis. Hypo- and hyperpigmentation were confirmed histologically by S100 and Fontana-Masson stain. To our knowledge, ‘salt and pepper appearance of the skin’ has rarely been reported in MCTD. The diagnosis of MCTD can be challenging due to its diverse characteristics. Therefore, we suggest that MCTD should be regarded as a differential diagnosis in patient with this pigmentary change.

        소아 IgA 신병증의 장기 추적(평균 10.8년)에 따른 임상 경과 및 병리학적 변화

        목 적 : 소아 IgA 신병증의 임상 양상 및 병리학적 분류(Haas 분류)와 임상 경과와의 상관 관계를 조사하여 이들이 예후를 반영할 수 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 방 법 : 병리학적으로 IgA 신병증으로 진단받고 추적 중이던 환자들 중 추적 신생검을 시행한 20명의 환자를 대상으로 후향적으로 자료를 분석하였다. 결 과 : 최초 신생검시 평균 9.5세였고 남자 16명, 여자 4명이었으며, 최종 조직 검사까지 평균 10.8년이 경과하였다. 안지오텐신 전환효소 억제제 등으로 치료를 지속한 후 정상뇨 소견, 정상 혈압, 정상 크레아티닌 청소율(CCr)을 보이는 임상적 관해 상태의 환자는 10명(50%)이었으며, 비관해 상태의 환자 10명(50%)도 초기와 비교하여 호전된 경과를 보였고, CCr이 중등도 이상 저하되거나 말기 신질환 양상을 보이는 환자는 없었다. 최초 Haas 분류는 임상경과와 상관 관계가 없었다. 초기 고혈압은 5명(25%)에서 보였고 이는 임상 경과(P =0.010) 및 최종 Haas 분류(P =0.007)와 유의성이 있었다. 초기 CCr의 중등도 저하는 Haas 분류와 유의성이 있었으나(P =0.048), 임상 경과와는 상관관계가 없었다. 결 론 : 소아 IgA 신병증의 추적 기간 중 임상 경과는 양호하나 최초 Haas 분류로 임상 경과를 예측할 수는 없었으나 적극적인 조기 진단 및 치료로 말기 신질환으로의 진행을 지연시킬 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 초기 고혈압은 임상 경과 및 최종 Haas 분류와 유의한 상관관계를 보여 적합한 예후인자로 보인다. 최초 병리학적 소견은 임상 경과를 반영하지 못하나, 추적 Haas 분류가 예후를 반영할 수 있을지에 대해서는 보다 많은 추적 관찰 및 추적 신생검을 통한 연구가 있어야 할 것으로 보인다. Purpose : We know little about the natural course of IgA nephropathy (IgAN) in association with histologic changes especially in children. We investigated clinicopathologic features with long-term follow-up biopsy to clarify the outcomes and prognostic indicators for childhood IgAN. Methods : From our patients' medical records, we retrieved 20 patients with IgAN, to whom renal biopsies had been performed for the initial diagnosis and follow-up to find out any histologic changes. Initial and follow-up biopsies were classified by Haas classification. The changes of these parameters were compared with the evolution of clinical features. Results : Patients were treated with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors in combination with angiotensin receptor blockers (in subclass II or above) and short-term cyclosporine A(in patients showing nephrotic syndrome). Histologic improvement in 7 cases and deterioration in 3 cases were observed. At the time of last biopsy, 10 cases (50%) showed clinical remission and the others showed improved clinical features. These clinical outcomes did not correlate with initial Haas classifications. Hypertension at onset observed in 5 cases (25%) revealed significant correlation with clinical outcome (P =0.01) and last Haas classification (P =0.007). None of the cases showed progression to CRF or ESRD. Conclusion : During a mean follow-up of $10.8{\pm}3.4$ years, childhood IgAN showed good clinicopathologic outcome. Hypertension at onset was only a strong predictor of clinicopathologic outcomes, but initial Haas classification cannot predict outcomes in children. Histologic change of IgAN in long term follow-up period cannot be completely predicted by clinical data and vice versa. Therefore, a renal biopsy should be considered as a part of follow-up plan.

        정보통신기술이 점차 발전함에 따라 기존의 생산 시스템에 네트워크 및 컴퓨팅 기술을 적용하여 효율적인 생산 환경을 유지하는 연구가 많이 진행되고 있다. 고전적인 제어 시스템과 달리 이러한 스마트 생산 시스템은 생산 환경에 대한 데이터를 실시간으로 수집하여 통계화하고, 그 변화에 따라 유동적으로 작동할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 네트워크 기반의 센서를 통해 실시간으로 데이터를 수집하고, 환경 변화에 효과적으로 대응할 수 있는 계측 시스템을 제시한다. 또한 이를 스마트팜에 적용하여 외부의 환경 변화에 대처하고 효과적인 생산 환경을 유지할 수 있음을 확인하였다. As information and communication technologies develop, many studies are being conducted to maintain an efficient production environment by applying network and computing technologies to existing production systems. Unlike classical control systems, these smart production systems need to collect data about the production environment in real time, and operate fluidly as it changes. In this paper, we present a measurement system that can collect data in real time through network-based sensors and respond effectively to environmental changes. We also proved this smart system can cope with external environmental changes and maintain an effective production environment.

        신규로 건설된 군 위댐 호내 어류 군집 및 생태적 특성에 관한 연구

        To secure water resources, dams are normally constructed on the upper - middle part of streams, and it generates physical disturbances such as habitat alteration and stream fragmentation. Such construction can restrict movement of aquatic organisms, especially for freshwater fish which is one of top predator in aquatic ecosystem, and cause genetic fragmentation and community change. In this study, to investigate impact of habitat alteration after dam construction on freshwater fish, we monitored fish community changes, and compared fish fauna between dam reservoir and inflows. Additionally, movement characteristics and habitat boundaries of four species were identified by radio telemetry method. The study was conducted in the Gunwi Dam which was constructed in December 2010. Radio telemetry was applied to Pungtungia herzi, Zacco platypus (living lotic and lentic), Silurus asotus (lentic preferred species) and Zacco koreanus (lotic preferred species). The number of species was remarkably decreased (4 family, 10 species) comparing with before the dam construction (7 family, 15 species). Specifically, Coreoleuciscus splendidus, Niwaella multifasciata, Liobagrus mediadiposalis, Coreoperca herzi and Odontobutis platycephala that inhabit in the lotic environment were not collected in the study area. A total of 8 species were caught in both the dam reservoir and tributaries except 2 species (C. auratus and S. asotus). Sorenson``s similarity between the reservoir and its tributaries was high (0.842). All of the radio tagged species stayed in the reservoir except S. asotus which moved to the tributary. These species mainly utilized the shallow littoral zone as a habitat. These results could be useful as a baseline data for efficient management of fishes in lakes.

      • 고령 작업자를 위한 농작업 편이장비의 인간공학적 개선에 관한 연구

        우리나라의 농업은 작업자의 고령화와 여성작업자의 증가 그리고 비정형화로 구성된 작업형태로 인해 근골격계질환의 위험성이 매우 높은 업종이다. 특히 과수업은 작업점이 작업자의 머리위에서 형성되어 지속적으로 이루어지고, 수확기에는 작업량이 집중되어 농업분야 중에서도 근골격계질환의 유병율이 가장 높게 나타난다. 본 연구에서는 고령농작업자에게 집중적으로 발생되는 근골격계질환을 예방하기 위해 수확기에 집중되는 대표작업 세 가지 운반 작업, 선별작업 그리고 포장작업을 선정하여 유해요인을 분석하고 공학적 개선책을 제시하고자 한다. 배농업의 수확기 작업에서 근골격계질환 유해요인으로 나타나는 중량물 운반 작업과 불필요한 작업 자세를 개선할 수 있는 자바라 컨베이어 벨트와 높이조절식 작업대의 도입을 통하여 고령 작업자뿐만 아니라 여성 작업자들이 효율적인 시스템에서 안전하게 작업할 수 있기를 기대하며 근골격계질환 발생으로 인한 사회․경제적 손실도 감소시킬 수 있을 것이다.

        하악골에 발생한 변연성골종

        Purpose: To determine the clinical and radiological feature of peripheral osteoma of the mandible (POM) in a Korean population and to compare with previous reports. Materials and Methods: Sixteen cases of POM found in 15 Korean patients who visited Seoul National University Dental Hospital between 1980 and 1998 were reviewed to determine their clinical and radiological features. Results: The 15 patients, five males and ten females, ranged in age from 22 to 69 years, with a mean age of 40.7 years. Six POMs were located on the buccal side of the mandibular body and five on the lingual aspect of the mandibular body and five on the lower border of the mandible. The duration of the lesion ranged between 1 and 10 years. The size of the lesions, in their great diameter, ranged from 6 to 26 mm, with a mean of 14.1 mm. Six POMs were pedunculated, nine sessile, and one bell-shaped. Eleven POMs were compact types and five were cancellous ones. Conclusion: The clinical and radiological features of these Korean series were broadly consistent with those of non-Korean populations reported previously. The principal difference was that all POMs under 35 year-old age were compact types.(J Korean Oral Maxillofac Radiol 1999;29:523-532)

        AKD(alkyl ketene dimer) used widely as a neutral sizing agent is produced industrially by halogenization of stearic acid followed by dimerization of alkyl ketene. In the present work, to suppress the byproduct of hydrochloric acid and to improve reaction pathway. AKD was prepared through of ketene intermediate by dehydration of stearic acid in gas phase using reaction with silanol on silica as active sites of the catalyst SBA-15 showed the highest activity due to the large and open tubular pores. It was found that main products were dimer and trimer. Our goal of the present work was to increase of the selectivity for the dimer.
