This study suggested the categorization of the notion, the factors and process of axial coding deducted through grounded approach as a research to verify the instruction experiences and educational significance of survey of university athletic club coaches. As a result of open coding, first, a total of 135 terms, 22 subcategories, and 11 upper categories were suggested. Second, as a result of axial coding, 6 paradigms were composed in the instruction experiences and education significance of university athletic club coaches. As for the casual conditions, university coach life, becoming a coach after retirement, and charm of the job were suggested, and as to the situational context, it was deducted as the relation formation with athletic students. Furthermore, as a central phenomenon, the professional instruction method was shown. In this connection, instruction contents and experiences are suggested as an interventional condition. As for the interaction, such as communications and successful instructors are found as a strategy of interaction. As a result of this process, it was found that athletic club coaches acquire the educational contents know-how and methods applicable for each level for themselves. Third, as selective coding, the outline of a story about the instruction method specialization process of athletic club coaches were performed, and the core categories were discovered in this process. It was understood that through not only improvement of educational contents but also instruction methods and various curricula about the specialization process, the individual “Know-how” of a coach, namely, empirical knowledge is naturally accumulated.

In the final term of Old Korea, that is, from late in the 19th century to early 20th century, Chosun was in the midst of a great social upheaval. To copy with the internal contradictions and the external challenge from the West, the intellectuals of Chosun had tried every means possible. On the one hand, some had trid to keep the traditional Confucian ideology and social system, on the other hand, others had tried to accept the western new knowledgy and technology. This contradictory movement had formed the dual structure of "resistane and acceptance". This dual structure had developed into right-defending and the wrong-expelling, and into the enlightenment movement. The Confucian scholars of Yeungnam District could be classified into two groups; one group was composed of the conservative scholars whose way for overcoming the national crisis was to renew and reconstruct the traditional Confucian ideology and expel the westen ideology and culture, the other group was composed of the progressive scholars whose way for getting over the national crisis was to accept the western new technology positively. The leading scholar of the latter group was Ryu In-sik whose pen-name was Dong-san. Dong-san maintained that the traditional-out of date-ideology should be rooted up Confucianism and the western new technology should be accepted as the basic theory of the national enlightenment and development. To realize these aims, Dong-san emphasized the need of new education and founded the Cooperative School for accepting the western new knowledge and technoloy. To sum up, the above-mentioned dual structure of "resistance and acceptance" had become the basic principle of coping with the national crsis and become the blasting fuse of the independence movement and the resistance movement aganinst Japan.

In this paper, we investigate database design techniques for effective retrieval of video segment and replay method of retrieved videos, Especially we shows the design and implementation technique for closed captioning of streaming file.

To evaluate the performance of safety appurtenances computer simulation is inevitable in the domestic situation that full scale crash test is not implemented. But, to improve the accuracy of computer simulation, it is important to reasonably determine the input parameters in which the interaction of vehicle-guardrail-soil should be accounted for. This study is focused on how to enhance the reliance of the dynamic performance of guardrail obtained by computer simulation. Analyses were done on the sensitivity of output variables to the change of input parameters by using BARRIER VII of which the usefulness was proved on the barrier-vehicle impact analysis. Through the analyses important input parameters, which give sensitive effects to output of computer simulation, are found out, and methods to determine such parameters are suggested to improve the accuracy of simulation.

Abstract-Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumococcus) is the most frequent causative agent of acute bacterial pneumonia. Outstanding characteristic of pneumococcus is an ample polysaccharide capsule that is highly antigenic agent and is the major factor for classification of pneumococcus into more than 94 serotypes. In this study, production of capsular polysaccharide from Streptococcus pneumoniae type 23 was optimized by supplementation of metal ions or by modulation of culture conditions. When brain heart infusion (BHI) broth was supplemented with 1 mM concentration of CaCl_2, CuSO_4 and MgSO_4, growth of pneumococcus as well as polysaccharide yield were stimulated. Also slight aeration gave rise to better polysaccharide yield.

The fate of the preposition has been precarious. Sometimes it was thought to be full of meanings and sometimes empty of meaning, especially by the structuralists and the transformationalists. In this paper it is claimed that prepositions have their own meanings. To this extent the claim is not much different from other appoaches that have been implicitly taken by lexlcographers, But it differs from them in claiming that each preposition has its own core (or base) meaning from which different senses are derived. In this paper, the preposition over is examined closely. The basic relation expressed by the preposition as in X over Y is that X is superior to Y in terms of size. This basic schematic (special) relation can be viewed in different perspectives and orientations and it can serve as a templet for temporal, processional or other abstract relations. This preupposes that in the semantic analysis of any element in grammar, human perceptual and cognitive abilities must be taken into account.

The meanings of the prepositional adverb down are investigated in this paper to find a semantic thread that runs through all the seemingly different meanings of down. It is shown here that all the different meanings result from the mental activity of abstraction, so that all the meanings represented by down share some common semantic features. A similar process of abstraction is made use of in Korean, in which verbs are used to represent what down does in English. The semantic analysis of down and its resulting picture help us to look at the problem of teaching phrasal verbs in English to Korean students from a different angle. So far the main emphasis hart been on their mechanical memorization. They are taught to memorize phrasal verbs one by one just as they memorize separate and unrelated words. Some alternative ways of teaching the phrasal verbs are presented in this paper.
